TOAST! So many toasts, so many roasts.
When I was searching for an apartment I stopped by this coffee shop to get a quick bite and coffee to refuel while I checked local listings on renter websites, and I was surprised to see how many different types of toast this place offers. Savory, sweet, you name it. It's just the right amount of food paired with a coffee, the ingredients were all fresh, and in addition to the toast actually being good enough to warrant a double-digit price tag, the other options all look worth trying as well. I love that the salmon toast (El Siete Mares) has REAL slices of ACTUALLY smoked salmon on it.
Now enough about toast. This place is obviously coffee-first and that's fine because the two drinks I've ordered here have been stellar and refreshing, not only in taste but in concept. The honey lavender is a safe bet at most coffee shops, so I ordered this the first time I visited. I ordered a Left Hand Black on my second visit, which I believe had sparkling water and lemon syrup in with the espresso, which I think is an awesome combination. The first time I had tried something like this was at the Starbucks reserve in Seattle, then again at a local coffee shop in LA. So glad to know I can come back here for a well-made drink of these specific flavors.
And even if it's on a day where they aren't serving toast, there's still food to be eaten, my hungry friends. On those days I've noticed they have businesses selling food in front of the shop, which may always be the same or maybe it changes. On my second visit this was the case, and the business was the Spot, which serves a small selection of breakfast/brunch items. I ordered the Puro Pa from them and I almost forgot my name as I was eating it (very tasty).
The employees are friendly, too! Cool fish tank, though not a ton of seating or space for as busy as it gets (it's a small shop).
