Super friendly server. Relaxed vibe. Mediocre food, especially for the price. However, if you're staying in the hotel and want classic American food without having to walk far, this is your only option.

We visited this place to watch the finals between golden state and Boston Celtics! The place wasn't busy when we reached but quickly got filled up. They had just two servers that day but they got very busy in the end. We loved the food and the drinks here. The chicken flatbread is a must try. They even customized it for my vegetarian friend. The chicken wings are SUPERB! Do try them.

Their food and drinks are a bit pricey but it's not bad. I had a musroom burger added caramelized onions. It was good and had flavor. Not the best but good. My wife had a sirloin steak medium well, it came out perfectly cooked. I had their stout which was smooth. Wife had a long Island that was really strong had her a little tipsy half way. Not a bad thing! If you're staying at their hotel, this is not a bad place to have dinner and some drinks. Too bad it closes early. 10pm

Awesome breakfast for $20. Salmon rolls are totally yummie. Also the fresh fruits and made to order omelet.

Had the stuffed fresh toast. (aka Giant Donut stuffed with Ricotta) I liked it.

Not what it used to be. Order a burger, well done with a salad. Burger came out pink and had a funny taste IMO. I was hungry; hadn’t eaten all day, tried to make it work. After I few bites … had to send it back. I rarely ever send back food - so for me to do so is unusual. I asked for another item - the burger had left a bad taste in my mouth (literally). The staff came back and said if I wanted another item - I had to pay for two meals! They would replace the burger. No apology? Wow! The second burger was well done, but still tasted funny IMO. I couldn’t finish it. It looks like they’re serving frozen patties with LOTS of seasonings. I paid and left … lost my appetite. I also didn’t appreciate having to listen to the customer at the next table FaceTiming for 30 minutes with her phone on speaker. Overall not a good experience!

Food details follows. Some bartenders are awesome. New bartenders are not and shouldn't be on a shift by themselves until they can manage the work. This is a management issue that seems to be a trend. But my review is focused on your menu, specifically the buffalo chicken sandwich. It used to be amazing - a real chicken breast in buffalo sauce. Your recent change is terrible - not even sure it's actually chicken now. How could you not understand this change produces a truly disgusting product? I think you should be prepared to have guests return this entre uneaten, as it honestly is bad food.

The perfect hotel restaurant! Whiles it's not a large space, though it can be when needed, it's very well set up with a bar area, some high top tables and a decent amount of low/regular tables as well. Not only is the food great, but the service is always with a smile. The lady that's here in the morning is always welcoming and very attentive. I'm very glad that I get to enjoy this hotel on a regular basis for work, so far, majority of the time I have chosen Sevens over the places nearby not only for the convenience but the service and taste as well. I'll definitely be doing quite a bit of dining here in the future.

So as flight attendant we get so happy if we get to the hotel early enough to get hot food! Def better then your typical hotel food and the service was really good. It was in cute area!

Really random friend gathering during Niners game. Was initially pretty meh about locale. Food was surprisingly tasty- Cuban sandwiches, quesadilla, truffle fries, Korean wings less greasy than your average sports bar. Mac n cheese just ok. Nice beer selection also cocktails & bottles of wine which our group had a bit of each. The few women working were total rock stars, bartending, cooking, clearing tables & super duper patient.

No more happy hour as of Nov 12th! Looked like one guy was working the entire bar still. I can't really rate as I didn't stay but there was a decent crowd and the bartender was running to get everyone handled.

Truth be told, an accurate review would be negative 6 stars. Incredibly overpriced, food is processed garbage - basically inedible. Corporate greedy hotel. Unfortunately for staff (who puts forth effort), this Sevens Bar & Grill is simply terrible.

Great bartender banter to start Cold beer and fancy tasty martinis Calamari that was refreshingly NOT greasy in a light beer batter. Salmon accompanied by a polenta and a white fish dinner, both grilled. Healthy and tasty. Maria, bartender: infectious smile And energy Richard, bartender with a welcome quirky humor. They made us feel welcome with their energy and wit. Thank you crowne To Bartender Richard ! Richard, You have a unique , friendly, manner. The last thing this weary traveler wants at the end of the day is stuffy formality. You are exceedingly pleasant and comfortable to hang with. Thanks fir the great , fast , service.

The food is average. The place is okay. It have a nice bar. The cocktails were the best part of it. The bartender was courteous. We ate there because it was convinient.

My wife and I ate there tonight at 745 pm and shared a bbq bacon burger, xtra crispy. fries and a chicken salad. Everything was absolutely perfect. Service was great. Will come here again.

Love that I found this hidden gem!! I was so sick of the crappy food, drinks and service at Big Al's. They have TVs all over the place like a sports bar and a great cocktail and food menu. I had the KFC wings they were so good!!

The Mr. and I met up with one of my close friends while we were in the Bay to watch the Warriors game and have a bite to eat. We ordered to share the Steak & Stout Sliders with melted Gouda, stout braised onions and a side of house pub chips, along with the chicken wings, and nachos that had a poke, avocado topping, and sliced peppers. The dishes that we ordered were ok, the flavors just didn't come through for me. My friend had the Quinoa and baby green salad-feta cheese, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, and lemon citronette dressing, she devoured it so it must have been good! LOL Over all I really liked the restaurant, the decor and the large flat screen to watch the game. You receive 15% off of your bill upon yelp check-in.

I was in the mood to sip some coffee with an ambiance. Couldn't have picked a better location just a few steps away. Service? A++ or 6 stars. :) Food? I just ordered an appetizer, calamari. It was very good, but I've had better. Thus, 4 star. The dipping sauce was divine. Coffee just kept coming - super attentive staff. They serve lunch and dinner. In case you too thought bar food only. Will be back for that.

I have been coming to the Sevens Bar and Grill with coworkers and friends and I always have a great experience with awesome customer service and delicious food and drinks! Thank you for all you do! Excited to come again with my friends and coworkers!

This is for breakfast buffet! Worst buffet i ever ate. There is not much stuff. Pastries not good, fruits ok,coffee sucks, orange juice ok, egg/ oatmeal/ potatoes/bacon not appetizing. One item is good :omelet Tables are nice and comfortable.

Came here with some friends after work for happy hour and dinner, the restaurant was busier than expected. We got seated quickly, and since this is our first time here, so we lookup Yelp to see what some of the people's choice are. Server does seem busy but noticed us when we are ready to order. All our item came pretty fast. Only complaint is the mac & cheese is a little bit blend, but everything else was great. We did not want dessert, so we ask the server for recommendations, chocolate monkey was the perfect drink to finish off the night.

I met up with some friends for a quick bite to eat around the area. We usually go to the plaza across the eat, but it's usually crowded at especially during lunch hour. We looked around to see what else is out there that is walking distance. We didn't expect to go to Crowne Plaza Hotel to get something to eat! So glad we did! We received not only a friendly and a speedy service, the food we ordered were not too bad! A couple of highlight dishes that I ate: - Cajun Pasta was really good. If you like something creamy, this did not disappoint. - Ahi Tuna Tacos (I think that was it was called) was pretty good too! It came in 3, but I could probably eat 2 more servings of those. To keep it short, if you're around the area, and you want to eat somewhere you would least expect, try this place!

Yuck. I had a tomato soup and a cobb salad. Okay so we're in a hotel so we know we need to send 1.5x for food, but it at least could be good. From $15 glasses of mediocre wine to overpriced cocktails, this was not good. I don;t mind shoving a $18 Cobb Salad on my expense account, but at least make it filling. This had no bacon, very little dried out chicken and the service was not good. Unless you are staying here with no car, just keep rolling.

We had a wonderful time at Sevens. We went there for drinks and we were very pleased that they have several TVs playing live games. Also, they serve great food and the staff was so friendly always checking on us. I will definitely become a regular from now on, especially for happy hour after work.

I was traveling in the SF area, and stayed a night at the CROWN PLAZA SAN JOSE-SILICON VALLEY. I noticed the SEVENS BAR & GRILL located on the ground floor while I was waiting for the check-in arrangements to be completed. This review is solely on the bar. I haven't tried their food menu. I checked with the bartenders on duty and found out that the kitchen is open until 11pm, whereas the bar is open until midnight for that evening. After a long day on the road, you bet that I head straight for the bar after I checked-in, took a shower, and had a fresh change of clothes. The bar is mostly occupied by travelers staying for the evening. While some did some friendly chit-chat, I enjoyed my time at the bar watching the NBA playoffs while sipping on my drink prepared by Tammy. Really sweet of her to mix me something that's perfect for the evening. Nothing too light, nothing too strong. Drink was just perfect for my taste buds. It's awesome that they let me take my drinks back up to my room when closing hour is near too.

Not a great night at the Sevens Bar & Grill. Came here to meet a friend, the location is good in the ground floor of the Crowne Plaza. It took around 10-15 minute intervals to get the attention of the waitress at any point. Usually this also involved waving her down (she came over 2x in the 1 hr of happy hour we had left). The happy hour menu is decent we had the calamari which was pretty good and the tacos were mediocre. Later on we were joined by 1 more who ordered a Cuban sandwich. The Cuban sandwich took 35 minutes to come to the table. Then after getting the bill there were two errors, we were charged for two beers we didn't drink and the beers did not come up at the right pricing. Now in their defense it was extremely busy due to the NBA finals but still inexcusable. Only bright side is the 15% food check in discount but needless to say I won't be back.

Came here after work with a few coworkers to celebrate quarter end. They ran out of half the items we wanted to order and charged us 21% auto-gratuity tip...TWENTY-ONE PERCENT!?...employees were dressed sharply but the service was non-existent. It got to a point where I had to grab plates and silverware from other tables and hand them out to my coworkers. Thankfully I had one year of serving experience during college and was able to analyze the situation, step in, and save the day. This place left such a bad impression on us that we will probably have to fire our coworker who's idea it was to come here.

This restaurant is attached to the hotel I was staying at. I had breakfast and dinner here. It was pretty good and the staff was friendly. The bar was pretty packed around dinner time, but service was still quick and responsive.

My friend and I enjoyed this place mostly because it was in our hotel and they did make a pretty good gin martini. As for food we tried.... Thai tacos (3 stars, they were lacking seasoning) Kobe burger (4 stars, it has fois gras on it!) Mushroom and fontina flatbread (3 stars, fontina was overpowering they put way too much) Calamari (4 stars) Samosas (3 stars, again these lacked seasoning but the sauce was good) I'm definitley only giving 4 stars because the bartender on Saturday was very patient with us being super loud and annoying at the bar haha, sorry!

A quiet, comfortable lounge conveniently located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Milpitas across the street from McCarthy Ranch.

Truly enjoyed this bar after a Pac 12 win!! Pineapple mojito was bomb. Food from the Crowne Plaza is always good! Artichoke and spinach dip with the warm pita bread was to die for.... and the bartender, Rick, always a pleasure!!

One of my favorite places to hang out after work. Great food, awesome drinks, and excellent service. Their Thai tacos are delish and their Charbroiled Ribeye is a must try. Great ambiance... music is not so loud that you can't carry a conversation. Overall, a great place to have a relaxing dinner or sit by the bar and have one of their yummy drinks.

Order burger and wings for dinner. Do not accept and recognize the discount and deal from Yelp. Very surprise!

Great for both lunch and an evening beer. I had the opportunity to eat or drink here for 4 days. The happy hour is extended till 7 which is nice, they also have a small but decent selection of beers on tap. The appetizer nachos and margarita flat bread were both excellent and the cheese burger for another person at my table made my mouth water with how fabulous it looked.

Excellent drinks, clean atmosphere and attentive customer service! Their menu is limited at this time probably due to the pandemic. But everything I have had there has been good. I couldn't give full stars because they have on the online menu where you can order shrimp for an additional charge with the Mac N Cheese as I did when I first had it. Then I ordered it again and when I went to pick it up the guy who I assume is the manager told me the girl who took my order made a mistake and should have allowed you to order that because it's not on the menu. I pulled it up on the scanned menu and showed him it was an option and he still said no and he also said no to ordering all flats on chicken wings for whatever reason; I didn't understand. But otherwise Raenah has been all of our fave! I would still say if you stay at the hotel it's worth eating the food whoever the chef is makes good eats!

This was my go to spot since I was staying at the hotel and didn't want to be out all night waiting on food. Unfortunately they changed the menu and someone is bungling the beer order. They have 10 taps but only 6 beers...last time I was here there was no beer on tap at all. I guess I'll need to find another place to eat...maybe even a different place to stay.

The service was terrible! The waitress got our drinks fast and said that they had none of my grandpas beer left (which was fine) but then later in the night at the next table a gentleman that came in after us received one. Then the food had zero salt or favor. I got the salmon. The calamari was delicious so that was a star. I may have gave them three stars if after they cleared our plate and we declined a dessert menu would have gave us our check right away. We sat for 20 minutes clear of all plates just waiting in an empty restaurant. But it was a nice looking and clean place so another star. We went on a not so busy Saturday night so you would think it would have been better.

My second time here with the group of coworkers...I love my Angus Burger. Had it last time and couldn't resist it again. Yummylicious :-) juicy and as I ordered. The fries were to die for. Today we ordered fried calamari again...so delicious. And this time we also ordered Thai tacos and wow impressed. As a "hotel" restaurant...it stood out ;-) good job! I'm probably coming back again and should attempt to try something different hhaa :-)

I'm a bit disappointed in the club sandwich. While it had fresh tomatoes and leafy green, the bread was too oily with butter and the turkey used was definitely pre-packaged pressed turkey. For $16.50 not worth it. Saving grace was the french fries and Kentucky mule.

Place was amazing !! Food was uhffff my steak was tender and appetizers were fresh ! Nice upscale place to hang out catch up with friend, they have screen TVs all over ! Cool spot

This bar is in the lobby of a hotel! Its very classy spot and relaxed. Do not come here for a wild and crazy time, it is morr of a nice place to take a date and grab a small bite to eat. Good apps, ok dishes. A bit pricey, two shots of henessy $30

Went in with 5 coworkers for drinks and apps. Terrible service. They gave one of us a different menu and when we tried to order from it said it was the wrong menu. When asked for the correct one they just stared at us. Two other items on the "correct" menu were not available. Finally got some apps and drinks - all mediocre. One round of drinks and apps took two hours! At check time, they added a 21% Service charge, and they didn't even tell us about it when we sat down. Will not return.

The problem with a restaurant inside of a hotel is that they feel they can upcharge for mediocre food and drinks. There was hardly anyone in here but everything felt a little too slow for such an "upscale" place. A waitress took our drink orders and let us know it would be 30 minutes before any signature drinks would be ready. But somehow she knew how to make a Moscow Mule? Or so we thought. It was straight up ginger beer - for $15. It wasn't until the bartender came back from her break that we got asked if we wanted water. Let's talk food. Do not get the Gnocchi. My friend had to ask for a refund. It was a terrible combination of ingredients. I got the western burger (bbq sauce on the side) which was actually ok. The meat was high quality but lacked flavor. No one else commented on their food which lead me to believe it wasn't that great. They did give us a refund for the terrible food. No redo on the terrible drink though. Our bill for 4 people was almost $200 and we were left unsatisfied and feeling robbed. Only gave the 2 stars because of the food refund and the nice bartender.

I'd first like to say our bartender Andrea was AMAZING! Had a great time talking with her and she kept the wine flowing with no hiccups! We had the Cajun pasta which was DELICIOUS! It definitely has a kick to it so if you don't like spicy, get something else. But I definitely recommend it, pasta, chicken, bacon, prawns, perfect! Had a very nice evening, great service, great wine, great food and great company ;) Perfect evening

Too bad, we need a good spot in this general area . . . I heard that this was the new spot to check out and while it is a HUGE improvement with what what there before (that's not saying much), it fails to deliver on drink quality and food . . . the service was pretty good and the team is attentive. The failure is that they need to improve quality across the board. If you are staying there and captive, I suppose it is "good enough", but I wouldn't make the effort to go there. Recommendation to Sevens: Turn down the lights so it doesn't feel like daytime inside. If you are trying to create a lounge atmosphere, it's probably best if every spot in the building isn't on. :) I will try again in a while to see if there are any improvements.

As a lone female traveler I usually like to stick close to hotel if not meeting up with someone. Came down for happy hot around 5:45pm and took a seat at the bar. Ordered happy hour merlot and regular veggie cobb salad off menu and was pleasantly surprised. For $5 a glass the merlot was tasty. Salad at $14 was delish....I especially liked the marinated mushrooms. It was not over dressed and easily could have fed 2 people. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was appealing. Would stay here again and return to Seven.

I was staying at the crowne plaza for the first time and we pleased to know they had a taste restaurant/bar down stairs. Food was amazing and service was quick and friendly. I tried the kalamari and The Cajun panini pasta. Both were a great representation of sevens bar & grill. I decided to stay for a few drinks the honey mule is a must try. I'm usually visiting the bay area often and i would visit here again in a heartbeat

Limited menu, the staff is friendly, the food is ok but overpriced. The only other food around is Asian.

Came in for lunch today, around 12:30. Sounded like a large party in the dining room, but the bar was only about half full. Sat in the bar and had Spaghetti alla Norma, my colleague had the Veggie Cobb. The pasta was very flavorful and cooked perfectly, the eggplant was especially tasty. My colleague said the Cobb was very good, that she would order it again. Service staff seemed very busy, rushing around, but still gave smiles and prompt attention. Will definitely come back! Quick service and delicious food is hard to find during lunch hour in this area!

Great service from Lupe. Instantly seated and served. Made great recommendations based on my hunger levels.

This is a great place to enjoy a nice cold beer. My glass was spotless and chilled. There is plenty of screens to watch a big game, and the food is also great. I ordered a steak house burger which was mouth watering.

Very slow service, had to constantly ask for everything, steak was the toughest chunk of gristle I have had to choke down in ages. Avoid this dump!!!
