Seventh Son is brewing up some amazing craft beer and some super refreshing frozen drinks. Their indoor atmosphere is super cozy and inviting, while their patio offers some amazing fire pits and communal seating. And be sure to go with an appetite because they have Street Thyme serving up the most original burgers in town.

Seventh Son is a great local to Columbus. They have a huge variety of different craft brews and even craft seltzers, all brewed and canned on site. It's one of those cool breweries that has their brew house visible to everyone. My favorite area is the sun room, a big space on the second floor that has skylights for tons of natural lighting and picnic tables spread out for plenty of seating. There are also board games, TVs for watching sports (and early afternoon, they'll put on cartoons for the kids!) Really a great place for gatherings and events, too. They have rentable spaces for private parties (there was a baby shower happening while we were there) and still plenty of seating. In the warmer months there are outdoor seating places with fires. All in all, a really awesome spot.

Google
Good ambiance. There is some patio area and also an indoor rooftop when the cold arrives. Good selection of beers. Personal was really nice. There a rotating food trucks. Overall a great brewery to spend a nice time with friends

Google
Nice place. Excellent service. Nice selection of good beer. There was a pizza wood fired food truck that was really good . Nice stop.

Google
Excellent service, great selection, and rad brewery atmosphere. If you’re in town visiting definitely stop by and grab a drink.

Seventh Sons Brewing in Columbus, Ohio, is a delightful gem that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for craft beer enthusiasts. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a cozy ambiance with wood accents, leather sofas, and a spacious patio adorned with warm fires and soft lighting. The large window overlooking the brewing area provided a fascinating glimpse into the craft beer-making process. We decided to settle in at the bar and indulged in a couple of their exceptional IPAs. The flavors were truly remarkable, so much so that we couldn't resist the urge to take some home. While the merchandise selection was limited, we were pleased to find a few souvenirs to commemorate our visit. The friendly and knowledgeable staff was a highlight of our experience. They were eager to share information about their other locations and the local beer passport program. One of the most charming aspects of our visit was encountering their adorable feline mascot, the assistant manager cat. We were lucky enough to spot him lounging behind a door and couldn't resist the opportunity to give him a few pets. Seventh Sons Brewing provided a fantastic start to our brewery tour in Columbus. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional brews, and friendly staff made it a memorable experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings.

Google
This place is beautiful! Great day for beers outside. Loved the hazy IPA and street thyme food truck was there with amazing burgers and fries! Definitely check out the upstairs too, it's worth seeing.

Google
We go to Seventh Son all the time. Not only is their beer amazing, but so is the staff and atmosphere! We hosted our wedding reception in the sunroom in April and the whole experience from beginning to end was flawless. Couldn't ask for a better business and group of people!

Yelp
Made a quick stop by last Saturday. Place has a fabulous vibe. Definitely helped that the weather was beautiful so the ambiance of the garage doors being open, the sun going down and the happy spirit of the place was very inviting. We had a couple drinks and some chips and salsa from the taco truck (yum!) My only complaint was the smell. I'm not sure what it was but it smelled like a mix between cleaning agent, bleach and vomit. We sat outside so it was not a bother but inside... They were hosting a private event so maybe it was that, maybe it was cleaning from brewing, maybe somebody did puke , who knows. It was stinky, but not enough to keep me from going back.

Yelp
Happy 11th anniversary, Seventh Son crew! We were there at year one and have celebrated so many great moments there. They have grown a lot over the last 11 years, but in all the right ways. Beers never disappoint, ambiance and crowds are always solid, and I always enjoy every visit (and as someone with social anxiety that speaks volumes.) You hire great people and make great beers. Well done and here's to many more! Also, the anniversary party was great - loved the bands and that it was a happy event with a friendly crowd. Love the new fire pits too!

Yelp
Great ambience at Seventh Son! Tried the Pineapple Express and the Frozen Paloma. Wasn't expecting the cannabis flavor to the Pineapple Express, but it was a unique combination
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great stop. Many options of beer. If you don't like what's downstairs venture upstairs to the taps up there. Staff is super friendly and fast. We usually stay upstairs because it's less crowded. Family friendly and pets are welcome on the patio.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and have always had fun. I don't drink beer so I appreciate that there is a cocktail list. There is a small parking lot and street parking around. I love the patio space and I just found out there's an upstairs?! It's so spacious and has all of the aesthetics. Service was quick even with our huge party there for a rehearsal dinner!
google avatar

Mark E.

Yelp
Good place! Great bar area with plenty of seating at the bar or by it. Additionally, it has more room behind the bar, roof top or outside! The drinks tasted great and especially during this HOT day! One thing to note is that they don't offer food all the time, just check the site before heading-in with an empty belly.

Yelp
First time coming to Seventh Son, and it quickly became a favorite of Columbus breweries! The ambiance was great, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was also super friendly and happy to help answer questions about the selection. Also tried a burger from the food truck out front and it slayed?? Not usually a burger girl, but damn! Great place to meet up with a larger group!

Yelp
Stopped by for drinks last night and it was our first time here. It was pretty cool - they had a food truck in their parking lot (parking is very limited but street parking is available), some seating in their first floor, but there's also more seatings upstairs in their rooftop. The bartender wasn't as friendly but he wasn't rude either. He simply asked us for our order and made it, no small talk or anything. Unfortunately, our visit was cut short. They lost power and were unsure of when it was coming back so they had to close early.

Yelp
Seventh Son has a great patio. It's one of my favorite breweries to visit in the summer because of their awesome Paloma slushies. I know they have great beer also, but summer time is synonymous with frozen drinks when they're available for me! They have different food trucks depending on the day, and this is one of the more well-known food truck/brewery combo spots in the city. I have heard that they also host live events with live music from time to time, but I haven't checked one out yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have planned for the rest of patio season.

Yelp
Seventh Son is hands down the best brewery in Columbus. They serve great beer and great vibes. This is the perfect place to grab a casual drink with friends and offers easy access to other popular parts of Columbus such as other 4th Street staples and the Short North. Seventh Son is our go to place. Maybe you'll even get lucky and meet the Assistant Manager, Horatio the cat!
google avatar

Yelp
Very good beer, venue and staff. Love Friday's when the pizza truck is there. Nice they have more to drink than beer for those that like other alcoholic beverages.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
After lunch, we went to Seventh Son Brewing Company for beers. Like most breweries, they have a food truck outside on select days. This brewery has two stories with different offerings - beer, hard seltzers, cocktails, and wine. In addition to indoor and outdoor seating, this brewery has a fairly large private event rental space. Their current draft list differed from the website - they didn't have Lemongrass Wit. The downstairs bar featured a $12 cocktail called The Flowers She Sent that donates $1 to Star House. Since they didn't have Lemongrass Wit, we decided not to get a $12 flight of 4 tasters. I debated about getting a Frozen Paloma. We enjoyed a pint of the Gyroscope Hazy IPA, which was hazy, hoppy, and citrusy, and a pint of Den by Antique on High (AOH) Berliner Weisse, which was light, tart, and sour. After closing out, we learned about the Seventh Sons Brewing Passport and Columbus Ale Trail.
google avatar

Aubrie H.

Yelp
Finally made a stop here as a part of the Columbus Ale Trail. There are multiple levels to choose from but we stayed on the 1st floor since there was plenty of seating and a food truck. They have a rotating schedule of food trucks throughout the week. We had Elevated Wood Fire Pizza and it was excellent! We choose our own beers for our flight and we were surprised when the seltzer was our favorite. It had great flavor and it was nice and light. Also, if you pick up a passport and visit all three Seventh Son locations, you can recieve a shirt or a 6 pack for a dollar. Just another reason to visit!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Laid back brewery with multiple seating areas. The frozen Paloma was delicious and they let us try a few of the beers, varied selection. The staff were kind, very chill new age hipster feel. Food truck in the parking lot, we didn't get any unfortunately. I would consider booking a room here. Oh and the bathrooms are great- a true dig. Of a classy establishment.
google avatar

Stacia G.

Yelp
Great patio and small inside. Beer only and usually a good truck nearby. Parking free! Great beer.

Carol W.

Yelp
Held my daughters bridal shower here in their event room. The staff were outstanding and provided an answer or assitance with any question I had. We had several non drinkers and they offered delicious mock tails. I personally tried one of the cocktails and I loved it as did everyone else at our event that tried the cocktails. So, its not just a place for good beer! I would recommend this location for your event in Columbus!
google avatar

Mary C. S.

Yelp
Stopped by to check out Seventh Son as we'd heard good things about their beer. They have a spacious patio--dog friendly-- patio with a mix of picnic tables and lawn chairs. A server brought us over a water dish for the dogs as soon as we sat down. A food truck was in the lot also. They are directly across the street from the Budd Dairy Food Hall, so plenty of food options are available. Hubby had a sampler and found them all true to style and enjoyable.

Yelp
Seventh Son Brewery has always been in awesome go to bar for hanging out with friends and the spacious and airy vibes in the place makes for an awesome time for drinking even before the pandemic. This place is close to home so I can walk there most days and it has parking as well. You can also park on the street for 3 hours. I love the workers here and they make banging cocktails. Social distance in place and many sanitizers to keep you good! Are you vaccinated, your in luck they have party rooms just for you! Having your own get together with your friends and family in the space is awesome! I always have a great time here and you can get beer and cocktails to go and there's the staple Dos Hermanos food truck to feed you! 5 stars!
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
Went up for a glass of wine and a beer. I had a great time but was taken aback by the "service fee" added to the bill. Seems like a random non disclosed tack on. I chose to read it as "service fee added in lieu of tip" and acted accordingly
google avatar

Woolie T.

Yelp
We made plans to check out Budd Dairy Food Hall across the street but we were quoted a 1-1.5 hour wait time on a Saturday night for a party of 6 plus a pup so we swung by Seventh Son Brewing to kill some time -- there was a short 15-20 minute wait but the time passed by relatively quick. The outdoor table we were seated at had sanitizer spray and a QR code to access their menu. To order your drinks, you go inside and order right at the bar. To grab a bite, they had the Dos Hermanos Taco Truck (I believe the food trucks that show up rotate but don't quote me on it). The night turned out to be pretty nippy and they didn't have any heat lamps so dress accordingly on colder nights. Definitely coming back to check out their rooftop!
google avatar

Leanne K.

Yelp
An excellent spot to spend an afternoon with friends. Can easily accommodate large groups upstairs in the beautiful sunroom.
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
This is a great place to hang out for a few drinks with friends. They have a full bar, so if beer is not your thing, they have plenty other options. Really enjoy the sunroom up top, lots of plants and windows everywhere. It's very open and roomy with picnic style tables. They also have a food truck outside for when you need some food to go with your drinks!
google avatar

Isabel C.

Yelp
Great space and good beers. Food truck for snacks and a good beer menu. Great service.
google avatar

Lexus F.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick post work happy hour :) bar service was super quick and convenient. This was my first time going up to the "sun room" and I really enjoyed it! It was nice to have space for our group to chat and enjoy the evening sunshine! I tried the lemon kitty paw they had on tap, and it was pretty good, but not my favorite of the kitty paw seltzers. It wasn't as tart/lemony as I was expecting since many others, like lime guava, have such an intense and great flavor. We did enjoy dinner from the food truck on site, Zaki Grill, which was fantastic as well! I am very excited for warm weather to return to Seventh Sons and enjoy a frozen Paloma!!

Megan K.

Yelp
The top floor has the perfect atmosphere! I wish I could live up there. Perfect if you want to get away from the average and sometimes dragging experiences we so often see at other bars on the same street. Good job!
google avatar

Yelp
Came around 3:30 for a little afternoon happy hour with my husband and baby. Initially we went upstairs, but it turned out that area was like a work from home space? So it was really quiet and almost awkward up there. Not to mention uncomfortably hot (even in December). Kind of odd but we just went downstairs and ended up having a great time otherwise. Proliferous and scientist are two of my favorite beers by them. Great friendly and fast service even while busy. A lot of windows letting in natural light and a dog friendly patio outside with fire pits. They usually have a food truck which is nice, but we didn't eat this time.
google avatar

Brendan H.

Yelp
Safe space hipsters work here. Seems pretty good with covid protocol though, so that is a plus. Good beers. Hoof hearted just down the road is a better bet.

Yelp
I'm going to kick off this review by telling you that I don't drink beer, but I LOVE coming to Seventh Son. I visit every now and then with friends and the atmosphere is truly something special. Whether you're trapped inside on a cold dreary day, or enjoying their beautiful porch when the sun is shining bright, they have a way of making you feel right at home. I obviously always get a cocktail when I come. Of course, they are known for their beer, but they do have a few other options... And while they don't have a kitchen, they do have a strong lineup of food trucks that park out front, so you can soak up the booze with some tasty eats. I'm really in love with their newer rooftop space. It's beautiful and spacious. They've even been offering a pop up 'Work from Home" experience during the day. While put on by another business, I love the collaboration, which Seventh Son does extremely well.

Yelp
Came in here at 10:30 PM on a Wednesday and they close at 11. Though we came in close to closing, their bartender Steve was extremely friendly to us, going through the whole menu and ensuring that we find something that we like. He was very knowledgeable about the brewery itself, it's history, and it's beers. When we were trying to decide what to drink, he gave us samples of a beer and a seltzer before we ordered to ensure satisfaction. He did not rush us to order or close out, yet was clear that the whole bar knew when last call came around. At last call, he offered the bourbon peach tea jell-o shots, and they were some of the best jell-o shots we've had. Outside of the fantastic customer service, the beers were flavorful and they had a wide variety of beers to offer. Their cocktails are also great. We had a pomegranate margarita, which was tasty on its own but even better with a sugar rim. Looking forward to come back when we're looking for some good beers!

Yelp
Great Atmosphere! I was visiting for the weekend and this place was a short walk from where we were staying. There was a food truck available but we only ordered drinks. I ordered a flight with various beers. Every single one was perfect and right up my alley. There is indoor as well as outdoor seating. Staff was amazing and dogs are allowed !
google avatar

Yelp
Since moving to Columbus in 2014, Seventh Son has been a staple in my must visit list whenever friends come to town. Whether it's a sour, a pale ale, or an IPA...they have a high quality selection of some of the best craft beer in Columbus! There is plenty of seating with outdoor seating, upstairs/downstairs bars, and event private spaces for events. The selection of food trucks rotates daily but there is also something good to snack on.
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
I used to think Seventh Son was just ok. My friends seemed to love it but when I'd go there I didn't find anything remarkable about it. Well that has changed now with the addition of the rooftop patio. It's a really cool space that has a retractable roof so it can be used in all types of weather. There is also a second full bar upstairs on the patio which is very nice to have. I noticed they also have an elevator to the rooftop patio which is good for people who can't take the flight of stairs. I'd say my only compliant is I went there to watch an OSU game and they only had a few TVs that were small and very high up. I think they should get a few more TVs and maybe one very large one that is more eye level. However, they did offer free nachos during the game so that was very appreciated. Update: today I took the tour which was well worth the 12 dollars I paid for it! Billy was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great time learning about Seventh Son! My complaint about most brewery tours is you don't get to try any of the beers while on the tour. That is not the case at Seventh Son! I believe he let us try 4 of the beers and they were very good sized pours! Also we got to meet the assistant manager and he was very friendly and cute (it's a cat lol.) If you ever want to take a brewery tour I'd recommend this one.
google avatar

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Awesome space! They have an outdoor patio and bright upstairs. Beers are awesome. They also have seltzers- kitty paws for the win! Currently they have a work from here space for professionals during the day on Friday. You can bring your laptop and get unlimited coffee/ water during the day- then seamlessly transition into happy hour!
google avatar

Arah K.

Yelp
A great hangout drinking spot with draft beers, rotating cocktails, and jello shots. Seventh Son feels bigger on the inside with tons of seating indoor and outdoor and a pizza food truck outside.
google avatar

Mackenzie O.

Yelp
Great brewery in Columbus! The space is huge- indoor, rooftop and outdoor patio all with a lively atmosphere. They have a wide variety of beers, so there's something for everyone. There's also a food truck associated with the brewery that has Hawaiian food.
google avatar

Saphace A.

Yelp
I've seen this brewery on my way home from work during the summer. It always seemed like a fun spot. Always a ton of people, a food truck, outside spaces. It seems small from the outside, but they've got a huge room upstairs with a ton of tables, another bar, and some bar stools by the windows. They also have bathrooms upstairs too. You can take the stairs or an elevator to go up. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening, but the bartenders did a great job spotting people ready to order. I got a flight: The Vision, Carpenter, Humulus, and Hadron's. I disliked all of them except The Vision. It's mixed with coffee and had the best flavors. Not sure why I was unimpressed with the rest. My friends love this place, so I'm sure there are other good drinks. They were all under 6% so maybe the higher percentage drinks are better? Wouldn't know. I love how they always have a food truck here. Saturday evenings, they have Dos Hermanos, which tastes pretty good. We sat in the upstairs room and had no trouble finding a table. It seemed to get busy and then the crowd got a bit lighter. It's a great place to hang out. There's so much space! It's definitely a selling point. Parking wasn't hard to find. We had parked a few blocks down but I'm sure you can find parallel parking easily if you come before peak time. Their parking lot is small and I don't usually see spots, but I'm sure a weekday would be a nice time to come as well.
google avatar

Chad P.

Yelp
Decent but basically just like a million other breweries. Met a date here. Small brewery. Decent patio on a busy street. They had 8-10 on tap. Ales, ipa, a peach seltzer and I believe one stout. Beer was ok. Nothing mind blowing. It was a beautiful day so a nice experience. Pet friendly. Difficult to find parking. Great venue across the street and other bars in the area.
google avatar

Victoria W.

Yelp
This brewery is great! I love the downstairs and upstairs seating. It's very open and airy. The bloody Mary's are delicious! Make sure you make them extra spicy. When I wasn't enjoying a Bloody Mary, I was sipping the kitty paw beverage. I loved it so much I bought some to bring home with me. The servers were very hopeful and patient with us. They let us try things until we were happy with our selections. If I'm in the area again, I will be back!
google avatar

Lauryn K.

Yelp
This is my favorite brewery in town for atmosphere. While they make solid beer, they happen to make my favorite cocktail which keeps me coming back- The Braggadocios. Espolon Tequila, Soda, a squeeze of fresh lime, topped with their frozen Paloma. It's refreshing and hits the spot every time. The place continues to expand and be innovative in their ways to keep people in awe every time they come in. Upstairs bar with a ceiling that can open to the sky, plenty of patio seating to bring your pups! The vibes in here are great for a date night or an evening out with friends. They are amazing with customer service and they keep a rotating food truck on site every day. I can't say enough great things about this place, one of columbus' best!
google avatar

Chelsea A.

Yelp
Love Seventh Son! It doesn't get better than their patio and it seems like they have recently upgraded it! Obviously being socially distant, they had strict rules for their guests to follow (and I mean strict in a good way) and we were able to enjoy a delicious beer on their patio. They have rotating food trucks, they have a different one every day of the week. But don't worry your favorite will be back on the same day of the week, every week. Which is a great way to pick your favorites and not have to worry about never seeing it again. Love the vibes and beers at this place!
google avatar

Sara A.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in town to hang out with friends. Great beer selections, cool vibes, good food truck options throughout the week. When I'm not in the mood for beer, I do like to occasionally get the frozen Paloma, which is great any day of the week, but I always like it on Tuesdays when Dos Hermanos food truck has their Taco Tuesday special. Makes for a great combo! I like the indoor and outdoor area. They are dog friendly outside, which is great.
google avatar

Kelsie K.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, I've never been a huge fan of Seventh Son's beers, but I am a huge fan of their patio! Their recent expansion has created a lot more seating space as well as an awesome rooftop patio. Their patios are dog friendly as well! Note: they do have a resident cat so keep an eye on your pup! They have a small parking lot and there is more parking on the street around it. In the evenings you can also park in Fox in the Snows lot. They have rotating food trucks which is nice.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries in Columbus! Great location , small parking lot and plenty of street parking! Two floors, the second floor is my favorite with the open air feel! There's always a food truck on site and Budd Dairy Food Hall is across the street! Seventh Sons always has a great selection of beers and seasonal options too!
google avatar

Joe D.

Yelp
No food. That's okay. Ambiance was casual they should have an area to leave dogs, not an open patio. Bartender was meh. If I wanted to be judged by someone for the clothes I'm wearing or my ability to start/hold a conversation I'd get better results at pac sun. Whoever this person was bartending had a very stinky attitude and without voicing it I heard from 3-4 people my first time there that it's a problem. I'm gonna go to the bar across the street. I will say that the food truck was amazing. This pizza is Mfin snapping. I'd love to comment on the beers, unfortunately every time I was served it felt like I should have been grateful. I'm just not big on that. I was grateful. Tipped above 20%. Service did not impact tip and it's possible I just was there on a bad day. I'll check in on this place in a few months, I wish them the best. I'll comment on the beers if I have a normal experience next time. As someone in the service industry, have a few different friends show up in less than plain clothes separately and see what service they all receive. I changed this review from 3* to 5* because I am not trying to leave a negative review. Please identify and address the issue. Work is work, social life is social life.

Yelp
Wow!!! I love this brewery! Their beers are amazing. Today they had IPAs, stouts, barrel aged beers, barleywine, lager, and so many more. I got a flight ($3 per 5 ounce taster in the flight) and every single one was amazing. We sat at the main bar and ended up exploring their party room (I'm guessing it's a party room?) and the.... wait for it... ROOFTOP BAR! It was amazing. Not your typical rooftop bar, but it's an amazing closed in a save upstairs. See pics I posted. There's so many beautIful plants everywhere also which gives the place a real inviting and enjoYable vibe. We found out they have a full time plant lady too. Super cool. Go to this brewery!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Such a chill place to have a beer and hang with friends. I felt like I was in Southern California when I visited. The garage doors were open and everyone was happy outside and inside. Our flight of beers was good, and we had fun watching people and dogs come and go. This place is huge, so make sure you visit the rooftop. Also, try to find the resident brewery cat.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
Always a great time here. The energy from the bartenders are always great and the beers are always flowing. They also do cocktails! Came late on a Saturday night and it was really chill, not super packed like it normally is during the day. Had a nice seat at the bar. We were offered endless samples by the bartender who made sure we liked what we ordered. They also offer half pints which I love. There's food truck parked out front each time it there and I can never resist. Got super lucky with a parking spot in the lot, but have never had an issue with street parking. It's also walking distance from Budd Dairy if you're waiting to get in there.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for drinks! They have an excellent outside patio space, as well as an upstairs indoor location. Seating is first come, first serve and you find a spot yourself. Ordering drinks is done up at the bar. On their drinks menu they have a pretty good selection of different types of local beers. I ordered the Kitty Paw Blood Orange Mango Hard Selter and Lemongrass Wit. Both were light, refreshing, and delicious! The Kitty Paw Selter was my favorite of the two, as it had a more fruity flavor. The flavor of the blood orange and mango blended nicely and was not too tart. The Lemongrass beer wasn't too hoppy and had a slight citrus aftertaste. All of their beer is around $5.50 a glass, which isn't too bad for the area and atmosphere. They also have a different food truck come each night so you're able to eat as well. Definitely check this place out for happy hour or a night out with friends!

Seventh Son came highly recommended by the staff at Hoof Hearted, and with it only being a short walk, we figured why not. It was starting to get closer to happy hour when we arrived, so there was already a good crowd both outside and inside, but again luck was on our side as we were able to grab a seat at the bar to look over the menu. Flights were the common theme this day, and Seventh Son proved to be no exception. My favorite beers here had to be the Keif, an IPA that focused heavily on the Chinook hop. My second favorite had to be Peach Blossom, which was a Saison/Farmhouse Ale brewed with passion fruit and peach, which provided a taste packed with flavor. While enjoying our flights, we ventured outside to the patio and grabbed a table and some more light bites from the food truck parked in the lot; this can vary so check their social media to see what food is available. In addition to the outside patio, there was also an upstairs patio that I wasn't able to check out; overall Seventh Son was a great stop, and I could have easily spent the rest of my evening here.
