Where to Enjoy a Glass of Chardonnay This Summer in New York | Eater

"A European-style restaurant with sidewalk seating made for hours-long plans, Seventh Street Cafe is ideal for brunch, lunch, or a long chat over a bottle. The Harken Chardonnay is a standout companion to their seafood linguine or grilled salmon, or as a solo act while you sit back and enjoy the weather." - Julia Gómez Kramer

I can’t say enough about the Seventh Street Cafe! Our daughter’s wedding luncheon was absolutely perfect!! The food, waitstaff, and atmosphere was top notch! Brooke Scotto and Nicole were amazing helping us with every little detail to make sure all went smoothly. I highly recommend them for private parties and lunch or dinner!!! Thank you to all the wonderful people!😊

I have been dining at this location for many years - I used to live in the area- I have moved and the last time I ate here was about 9 months ago. I go there every time I am in the area. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The wait staff is friendly; knowledgeable; and engaging. Always a pleasure to dine at the Seventh Street Cafe

We went for brunch the Sunday after my birthday. I thought it was really good. I had the eggs benedict and I believe the hollandaise was homemade; it didn't break, always a plus, however it was a tad salty. The yolks broke exactly as I like (Chefs kiss). The hash browns were good, solid. My daughter got the fried egg sandwich. The yolks could have been harder, they were medium. The mimosas were great! I really liked the atmosphere but the service could have been a little swifter. All in all, a really nice place. I want to go back for dinner.

Food was great but staff was very busy and service was slow they forgot two orders and we were a party of 7 so 5 of use ate then had to wait for 2more. In all fairness the waiter gave us 2 desserts free.

Our baby shower was held here yesterday afternoon. When you walk inside, there's an upstairs and downstairs dining. Our party was downstairs, and I liked knowing it was more private and I could get a chance to catch up with everyone. I didn't plan any of it, I saw there was already a prefixed menu. We had a salad, entrée, and coffee or tea towards the end with our cake. The food was good, the service was great, and they constantly checked on between the bar in the back, refilling waters or other beverages, and our servers were friendly. The only drawback was the bathroom downstairs. It was a small space but very messy. I would suggest someone check on it when possible so other customers don't complain. I know a few women ahead of me did complain. The restaurant is quaint, I wouldn't want it to be ruined because of bathroom comments. It was a lovely afternoon. We parked in the back and the parking lot is big and shared with other stores. A bunch of our guests complimented how great Seventh Street Café was. Thank you for making our day a memorable one with loved ones!

Google
Food was ok. I ordered steak and eggs. The steak had the consistency of liver, so I are the eggs and had some of my fiance's chicken and waffle, that was better but not great! The waitress was a little too sassy for my liking and insulting to my fiance. I ordered a bellini, and when he didn't order alcohol she said " you're not drinking? BORING! " what if he was a recovering alcoholic? It wasn't nice! The table across from us was drinking and she said, "oh you guys are fun, I could hang out with you. " she never came back to see how everything was, but made numerous trips to the other table. Average food & poor service. We won't be back.

So I had my wedding here at Seventh Street Cafe on July 6. I would say from jump street the service was absolutely amazing. The fact that Brooke worked with me and gave me such great ideas on a tight timeline was amazing! She suggested that I could have my ceremony and a luncheon and I liked that! Brooke answered every one of my questions and was always available and I loved that! She even went above and beyond and opened up earlier on the day of so my bridesmaids can help with set up and that is something I will remember. Even when me and my fiance came in and had an early dinner, the food was amazing! But anywho, even when she wasn't there, the staff was so accommodating and worked with me and let me know everything would be fine and gave me a clear idea of what the room looked like. So the day comes and when I saw the room ( I used the Victoria Room btw) I was floored! Everything was beautifully set up and like I said the staff was absolutely amazing! Everything went so smooth the transition from ceremony to luncheon was smooth and the food was absolutely amazing! I wish I could try everything from off that menu! My guests loved their food and raved about the setup! Seventh Street really did an amazing job on one of the most important days of my life! Thank you so so much!!!!!

Yelp
Visited for the first time a few weeks ago for an anniversary party. We have the private room on the bottom level which is beautiful. The staff was amazing here and took great care of my family. The food was just ok. Could've used more flavor and seasoning. We weren't blown away by the dishes. I would possibly come back to try their normal menu to see if I have a better dining experience.

Yelp
SSC remains a staple in Garden City. It's cute and pretty. Service is good and there is variety in the menu for food and drinks. When in the area stop by at SSC.

Yelp
Food is good for the most part , but can be a hit or miss at times. Staff is dismissive ,rude, uneducated.

Yelp
The service was welcoming and attentive. The gamberi oreganata was delicious--we three each chose it--and the fried calamari was delicious, too. (Of course it was! Fried food is not the healthy choice, but, hey, it was an occasion.) The tiramisu was mediocre but the tartufo was heavenly. It was a bit too noisy to hear my low spoken auntie but the decor was tasteful and the chairs were comfortable. This place is a favorite.

Yelp
Upon entering we were greeted immediately. We also were seated right away. I forgot our servers name but he was very friendly, and attentive. For drinks i got the watermelon martini, and jalepeno margarita. WOW, i must say that the jalepeno margarita from here is the best I've ever had. For starters we had the fried zucchini, fried calamari, and clams for the table in a white sauce. They alll were so delicious!! Especially the clams! For entrees, we got the skirt steak with a side of broccoli rabe, fettuccini alfredo with chicken, pan roasted pork chop, sea bass franchise, and a rigatoni special (i can't remember the name but it had mushrooms and prosciutto) EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! But the top three things that were omg wow was the fettuccini alfredo - it was so heavy rich and buttery - we were all like wow. The sea bass was so soft and flavorful we all loved it, And the rigatoni special.. another pasta that was filled with lots of prosciutto and the flavor was amazing!! It was so beautiful and clean inside, enough lighting, the ambience was relaxing.. there was also an outdoor seating in front but it was too hot for us to be outside. Will definitely want to come back

Yelp
I came to this restaurant for the first time and I enjoyed the decor as well as how spacious the restaurant was. The service was a little slow while waiting to order however, the employees were nice. They have a beautiful meu cover and the exterior looked stunning. They gave me complimentary bread and oil and I ordered penne pasta. The pasta could've been more flavorful however, I still enjoyed it and how it came with broccoli and shrimp.

Yelp
Came in on a whim looking for a place to eat breakfast as we're visiting colleges and this place was close to our hotel. Boy am I glad I found the seventh street cafe!!! Owners Mr. Scotto and Brooke were super inviting and friendly! They looked pretty busy and didn't think we would get a seat but they were able to accommodate us and sat us at the bar top. My son and I both had the egg sandwich and it was superb! The bread was fresh, crunchy and the cheese was oozing outside the sandwich as it should. The egg was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were both crispy and savory. Win win all around I will definitely be back here for dinner! If you're thinking about coming here, don't just do it. You won't regret your breakfast lunch or dinner choice. A+ all around for sure. The service was efficient (as we were in a time crunch) the atmosphere is very inviting and the food was spectacular what else could you ask for! An appetite that's for sure :)

Yelp
First, let's be clear - this isn't a cafe. This is a second rate diner that is in major need of an overhaul. Maybe it's my own fault when I opted to stay after seeing the artificial wall made out of Decicco pasta boxes, oversized jars of marinated olives and Grey Goose vodka. I should have run out then, but instead stayed for the worst avocado toast I have ever encountered. Why the worst, well, the bread was the cheap whole wheat found in any deli AND it wasn't toasted. The avocado was slimy and turned the untoasted bread into mush. The over easy eggs on top werent over easy. Yolks were broken and the eggs were at best fried and dried out. The glass separating our booth had a big crack in it. Tastefully repaired with packing tape. Yep. Beyond this, the waitstaff is miserable. They are angry about something - could be the raucous noise level or maybe it's the really cheap Italian decor. In either case, stay away. This is a noisy, classless joint.

Yelp
Went here for a ladies gathering for coffee, cakes, and fruit. Sweets were tasty and they accommodated our party nicely. Only negative was that the place is all hard surfaces and areas are separated by a low wall and fabric curtains so the noise level gets rather loud, especially with children getting fussy on the other side of the curtain. Go for the food but know that it does get loud.

Yelp
The Seventh Street Cafe is an amazing restaurant located in beautiful downtown Garden City. It is nothing less than a treat to dine here. I am very lucky that for many years (pre Yelp) I worked next door. We came here often for lunch when we wanted to do something special. Seventh Street is the place to do that. There is plenty of parking in the lot behind the restaurant or on the other side of the street. There is a cool-slick ambiance that makes it very enjoyable to be there. The service is impeccable. They work as a team and there is always someone available to help you. It is a great friendly work staff. I was there for a downstairs event and was eating upstairs so my order was given prior to sitting at a table. As soon as we came up our food was ready. with started with a delicious cool crisp salad. Tasty and fresh. My main meal was Shrimp Francaise. It was perfect-wonderful. The francaise here has always been the best. Even my return visit 10 years later was exactly how I remembered it. I never moved past the chicken, sole or shrimp francaise so I'm limited with my menu choices but seeing the expression on all the diners faces here tell you that everything is just that good!!! Kudos to the team here at Seventh Street Cafe

Yelp
Place is good enough. Almost like a glorified diner type of place. The service was good. There is no real ambiance - just a crowded place. The food is decent. Just not an exciting place, but a good spot for lunch.

Yelp
We attended 7th Street Cafe this morning and are regular customers. We come every Sunday, and this will be the last time we are ever step foot in there. We moved to another table because the restaurant was completely empty. Then Mr. Scotto the owner came over and told us that it was reserved. There was no sign on the table indicating this. He should be respectful for people who are regulars. He told me that he didn't like me and basically threw us out. I will never step foot in there and I don't think anybody else should either. The only thing he cares about is his weekly parties. He is not a nice man, not respectful, sarcastic and very hurtful!! Shame on you Mr. Scotto!! Learn how to put a smile on your face. Be grateful for all you have, and own up to your mistakes. An apology is in order from you!! Appreciate all those who support your business!! The only saving grace to his restaurant is a wonderful and amazing staff. He should leave and let them run the restaurant without him!! I just read your comments and you switched everything around. I don't know who wrote it, but definitely Not the owner. Mr Scotto himself pointed his finger at me in my face and said I don't like you . He made several accusations that were incorrect and untrue just to save face. He's rude, selfish and undeniably mean. I didn't throw anything, I didn't do any of those things. You're switching the story around so you could look good to save face. You were nasty to my boyfriend which is how this all started, saying the table is reserved. No one was in your restaurant, but us. Maybe that's a telling sign too. The bottom line is your restaurant was completely empty, Mr. Scotto came over and told us to move. He pointed his finger at me and said, "I don't like you". We have been there every single week and we will no longer go there. He never says hello, welcomes us, or puts a smile on his face. He should be ashamed of himself. He cursed, approached my boyfriend a little too close and was frightening. I will never go to 7th Street Cafe again and neither should the public!! His manager wasn't nice either, and the funny thing is when I said I'm going to write something on Yelp, she said, "They dont care about Yelp", but obviously they do.

Yelp
I visited on a Saturday with a group of eight ladies. Our food came out of the kitchen very staggered, so many were waiting while some were already eating. Our waitress seemed annoyed by any menu question, and very defensive when I asked her to exchange my soda as it tasted metallic. The replacement she brought was just as bad, so a wasted four dollars. I ordered the Margarita pizza. Having eaten only a piece and a half, I asked for a box to take the rest home. The still hot left-over pie was taken away to be "boxed". What was returned to me was five pieces smashed one piece on top of each other into an aluminum carry-out dish. OMG! None of it could be salvaged at home, it was a glob. I consider this experience a " lesson learned " . I certainly have better ways to spend twenty- six dollars and at least be able to enjoy a soda. Just because it's Garden City doesn't make it good.

Yelp
Had lunch outside on a beautiful day. Food was phenomenal. I had Chicken Franchise and husband had brunch Steak and Eggs. Everything was done perfectly. Good wine selection too. Only down side was the service initially. Took a bit to get someone to seat us and two tables that were seated after us were waited on first. The busboy came and asked if we were okay and we had to ask if we had a server. He sent our server over and from there everything was fine.

Yelp
We went for brunch and it wasn't too busy. The ambiance is pretty cute and all of the staff were friendly. I got the breakfast sandwich and I think it was the best thing anyone ordered. It's a large portion size and the French bread was so good. I tried some of my sisters crepes and unfortunately they had come out cold and were on the thicker side. The French toast and the steak and eggs were okay as well. I liked the area this restaurant was in and would go back if we were ever in town again.

Yelp
We came here for dinner after an appointment a few doors down. There is a nice ambiance and it wasn't too loud. They start you off with bread and a delicious oil to dip. We ordered fried zucchini & 2 salads for apps- tricolor and caesar. Very fresh tasting. The entrees we chose were chicken and penne vodka. the food was very good and potions sufficient. But it was pretty expensive. Given the location, that's not a surprise. All in all it was a good choice

Yelp
So glad I found this cute cafe with great brunch food. The service was good, waiters were attentive. The food was delicious. The inside looks like a floral museum. Very nice.

Yelp
Second visit at this restaurant and the place seemed the same as on my first visit. As always, loved the nice decor and classy ambiance. I came today for a luncheon meet-up with my girlfriends. Our server was nice and sweet. A bowl of bread with Italian dipping oil was served before taking our order. I had Farfalle al Salmone (Bow Tie Pasta with Fresh Norwegian Salmon in a Pink Sauce) for my entree. It was delicious, creamy and tasted right the way I wanted. Huge serving portion for my small tummy. I had to request to boxed it. My friends were happy with their chicken salad and happily finished it. It took us a while to get our bill which sadly made it one star less for my review. Our server got busy with other tables. Oh well, the hold up made us late for our next commitment. The location is on a popular Garden City street. Huge parking lot in the back.

Yelp
the atmosphere was calming and welcoming and just what you want after a long day quiet and peaceful and beautiful design. the staff were incredible excellent service and the FOOD! oh soooooo delicious! my new favorite restaurant for sure.

Yelp
Discovered this restaurant when looking for outdoor dining options and have been here probably 6 times since. The food is always great, whether appetizers (baked clams, hot antipasta, etc), salads, and seafood entrees. Other people in my groups have enjoyed the veal and steak and pasta dishes. I usually go for seafood - today I had sea bass oreganata and it was great. Unfortunately we were hungry ans didn't take food photos before eating! I did ask what the whole fish options were tonight but there aren't any

Jill R.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent. I had the most delicious, hot, three-egg omelette with feta, spinach and tomato. It came with really tasty home fries and toast. And of course a mimosa. Our waitress was lovely and there were many busboys helping out. Nice, subdued lighting. A very good experience!

Yelp
Nice relaxing open atmosphere early Friday evening. Appreciated the generous pour of wine: Chianti was decent. Stuffed clams were tasty. Mussels were good but very mild in flavor. I had the pasta special: farfalle with baby shrimp, escarole and white beans. Pasta was too soft. Escarole had a nice smoky flavor. Dish was decent but could have been cooked less. House Tiramasu was far too sweet. Should cut the sugar in half. The black forest cake was very good but could also be less sweet. Vongole with pasta was good as was the service.

Yelp
My son and I had Christmas Eve dinner at Seventh Street Cafe and it was a wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal. Fresh, high quality and perfectly prepared and presented. Service was impeccable, Attentive and professional. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has an inviting, Tuscan vibe. All in all, a fantastic experience

Yelp
The food was excellent, as was the service. The prices were good considering the location. I would certainly return when in the area.

Yelp
This is my second time here. The first time was for a wedding shower. That and today were pleasant experiences. This cafe is, apparently, the place to have your parties. There was a baby shower going on downstairs as our retirement party. At one point, the manager came into our party saying we had to keep the noise down. Ridiculous. It's a party. We can make as much noise as we want where we were; you have the party in another area where the noise would be muffled or you ask the hosts to have the party at a time where the other part of the restaurant isn't heavy with patrons. Other than this glitch, SEVENTH STREET CAFE is the place to come for small gatherings. The food was delivered hot!! A plus.

Yelp
Such a great place! Their menu is very large. The first time I came here I got an avocado toast. A little disappointed when I was presented with it. The avocado was not mash and it was just very there. Only one piece of toast, definitely not worth it for the price. I came back about a month ago and I got a delicious salad! The salad was really filling. It was a great size and it was just so delicious! The only other downside of this place is that they don't have nondairy milk. I'm always looking for a nice cup of coffee to start my day, and it's very disappointing when they don't even have almond milk as a substitute. Overall good place

Bern K.

Yelp
First time here in many years. Very fine food, service and ambiance. Fine for special occasion or normal night out. Limited wine list, if that's a factor, but serviceable dozen or so WBTG and the same as bottles.
google avatar

Amelia M.

Yelp
This restaurant exceeded my expectations! First and foremost, it's beautifully decorated. Secondly, the staff is amazing! Our waiter was beyond kind and attentive. Lastly the food was delicious and so were the drinks. It was a party of 4 of us and we all got different dishes. I opted for the chicken piccata. It was delicious and savory. I also got the spicy jalapeño margarita and let me tell you it had a kick to it but was also refreshing. Our waiter made sure our glasses were not empty and overall was just very friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place. 10/10 food 10/10 service 10/10 drinks There is lots of parking in the lot so getting parking shouldn't be an issue.

Yelp
I recently went for dinner with my mom at Seventh Street Cafe, a place we used to frequent in the past. I always remember being thrilled by whatever I ordered and appreciative of the impeccable service. My latest experience there was less than stellar, and I am hoping it was just an "off" day and that I can update this review in the future. The Glows: Located on Seventh Street, a very cute block that screams "ditch the car and walk along our street!", this venue has a beautiful atmosphere. A lot of attention was paid to the decor and the high ceiling and bright colors give you the feeling of being in an establishment in Italy. We were greeted promptly and everyone we dealt with was pleasant. My mom ordered a mixed drink and said her cocktail was delicious. We shared the fried calamari and the marinara sauce was superb. Each table was given complimentary bread and oil for dipping. The Grows: My glass was dirty and so were all of our utensils. I wasn't going to mention this in my review, but I see that this was cited in other reviews here. First time is a mistake, second time it's a pattern. No one came over to refill our waters throughout the entire meal. No one offered grated cheese for our pasta or fresh black pepper. The restaurant was not busy, so I cannot even forgive these affronts because of being understaffed--they were not understaffed. If anything, there were a lot of people walking around with seemingly nothing going on. While the sauce that accompanied the calamari was wonderful, the calamari itself was barely breaded and it was so bland. Yuck. The chicken piccata was good, but nothing memorable. The whole experience was also ruined because I did not order chicken piccata--I ordered a different chicken dish that I was really looking forward to trying. Our server did not write down our order (three things), nor did she call back what we told her. I should have known better. It took awhile to flag her down to tell her the dish was wrong. She offered to replace it, and I know the owners care about customer service. But at that point, the whole experience was anticlimactic and we didn't want to wait for the correct dish to be prepared. All in all, I felt this once-loved venue declined in quality of both the service and the food. With so many other Italian venues within close proximity, I may or may not be back again.

Yelp
A great go to spot during the pandemic. They created a beautiful roomy outdoor seating area. The pizza (Neapolitan) was the best thing we had Eggplant parm hero was decent but the bread was not anything great. Not enough sauce. Eggplant was soft and good Tomato mozzarella and prosciutto had scanty prosciutto, good fresh mozz but again the bread was nothing. It would be so much better with better bread! Possibly toasted at that. I'd still come back for the pizza and try a few more items.

Yelp
Let's say you're planning an intimate baby shower, retirement party, etc with people who enjoy plain, American food. This is the place for you. The Cafe is a large space and great for groups. Service is very attentive and they are dressed in the old-fashioned diner outfits. I love the color scheme and decorations. However, the food is very bland. So it is great for people who enjoy food prepared simply.

Yelp
I made a reservation for Mothers Day on 4/26. I was told I needed to give a $100 deposit which would be fully refunded if I cancel with at 5 days notice. I called today 4/29 to cancel. I was very honest with the man who answered today. Same guy who took my reservation. I told him that my husband and I saw the Yelp reviews, and spoke with someone who had just had dinner there, and we were not comfortable spending the $$. All of this goes to say, it doesn't matter why we were cancelling, we are giving 2 weeks notice. The man (with a very thick Italian accent , and I only mention this because he refused to give me his name) became unhinged, screaming at me. Telling me I'm crazy to cancel a reservation due to *ONE* bad review. See below - there are MANY bad reviews. He went on a tirade about how he's been in business for 30 years and their food is award winning. I tried to verify that we would not be charged the $100 deposit, and he said "I will keep your fuck!ng money" and hung up on me!!!! I called back, and the same man with the lovely Italian accent answered. I reminded him that we were cancelling with 14 days notice, so he should not be charging the deposit. He said he'd do what he wants, and hung up on me again. I strongly urge anyone looking to make a reservation, Mother's Day or not, to reconsider. If they treat customers like this, imagine how they treat employees. All of this to say, we will be calling the bank and filing fraud charges against Seventh Street Cafe.

Yelp
When we walked inside on a Saturday afternoon, the front area smelled like garbage; so we sat outside. Ironically, the French toast tasted like garbage. It was soggy and burnt at the same time. They got 2 stars because they took it off my bill. Nothing really good to report, but the waiter had a nice smile.
google avatar

Yelp
When we walked in the ambience was incredible, it felt like we were in Italy. Then the service started and boy oh boy was it tough to get anyone attention. We tried to order the Mango mule drink, they were out of mango. We decided on the spicy margaritas... that was a mistake. It was very sour and not very spicy at all. After that drink disappointed us we tried to switch to white wine and after 10 minutes of waiting we were told they were out. Still I can't stress enough we loved the ambiance. We ordered 3 dishes and out of those 3 only 2 were good. The margarita pizza was burnt and soggy at the same time. We didn't really have a designated server it felt like we were passed off to all the staff I think in all we interacted with about 4 or 5 people. Overall we enjoyed the laughs about the service.

Yelp
Not impressed at all. The brunch was nothing to write about. My avocado toast was on a small piece of bread.. kid's size ! Portion sizes were awful! The price we paid we expect more and will not be back.

Yelp
My favorite Italian restaurant. The food is always perfect and the breadsticks are amazing. Very friendly staff and great service.

Yelp
We walked in to a relatively empty restaurant. Immediately we get asked if we have a reservation, and after some hemming and hawing we get seated. For such a "fancy" establishment, I'm surprised they have such a limited selection of drinks and on top of that there is no non-diary milks. We order our juices and coffee, and move on to the food. For our party of 3, we ordered two French toast orders and one of the Nutella crepes. Now our mistake here was not reading previous reviews prior to coming here. The review below us nails it in the head. I would literally rather eat at ihop than return here. The waiters returned with our food much too quickly for them to be "fresh" meals. We are talking a few minutes after our order. The Nutella crepes were COLD and oddly thick. I have never had such an entree. The French toast was tepid at best and looked unbelievably bland, and like it was cooked yesterday. Their bacon was burnt to a crisp. Their home fries are honestly just potatoes with salt- I guess you really can't mess that up. The literal best part of that meal was the orange slice, and that's on Mother Nature not anything they had a part in. 3 non alcoholic beverages and 3 subpar entrees for a whopping 80 dollar bill. Honestly, save your time and taste buds and eat somewhere else. (Also our table had crumbs on the floor and it was 10:00am, so likely leftover from the day before).

Today we celebrated my grandson's 18th birthday. We were a party of 13. I had called a few times after I made the reservation as I had some questions. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful. The food was excellent! All courses were served timely and gracefully. Our waitress was Denise- she was very, very accommodating, thoughtful and professional. Our busboy was Justin- he delivered quickly every time we asked for something. It seemed that they were watching our table and Denise asked me at every turn about serving the next course and did we need anything. Justin was at the ready with refills for our water and iced tea and to clear dishes. Our celebration would not have been so wonderful without Denise and Justin! A very special thank you to both!

Yelp
This restaurant is located on the popular Garden City's shopping area Seventh Street. This was my first return to this restaurant in several years. What was very noticeable as I entered the restaurant was new decorative renovations. The new elaborate renaissance ambience truly provides an authentic Italian cuisine appearance. The newly European-style dining room has also a spacious upscale new bar area. We were seated close to front of the dining room in a very comfortable booth. We chose to have the hot antipasto for an appetizer and the Pollo and Picata Pollo Capriccioso which was very good. Overall we really enjoyed our dining experience and highly intend to this visit this restaurant often in the future.

Yelp
We've been several times. The wait staff is excellent. We like the outdoor tables. The food is ok. It definitely could be better! But a pleasant experience otherwise

Yelp
Seventh Street Cafe was a great find at a great price for my fiancé's bridal shower. They were very friendly and accommodating. There is an upstairs party room and a downstairs room. Plenty of parking in front and back which makes it easy with two entrances. I love focaccia bread. They make it in a bread stick form. I have never seen that before. All of the menu choices looked delicious, I settled on the Rigatoni alla Vodka. You can never go wrong when adding shrimp to vodka sauce. They have a full dining room and full bar. There is an outdoor patio where you can eat when the weather is nice. They are great for an afternoon lunch, or a Saturday date night. Looking forward to going back in the near future.

Yelp
Avoid this establishment at all costs! Mr. Scotto, the owner, is the rudest person I have ever encountered. He aggressively told our party of 30 we were being loud and turning away customers, even though there was a total of 3 tables of patrons the entire time we were there. Then he couldn't handle being called out on his rude behavior and ran out the front door. Parties are meant to include people talking, maybe not for his time era. Besides his disgusting behavior, the food was subpar and the establishment itself is outdated.

Yelp
Food needs help, the flavors are blah. Gnats or fruit flies kept hovering. Even the soap in the bathroom is outdated, as it's clearly coagulated. Air handler vents need new filters - the filters add visibly dirty. I was lured by deceiving social media pictures, I guess that's what they do best - their social media pics.

Yelp
Would have given a great review, however we had a baby shower this past Sunday (which happened to be a sweltering day). (90s)The A C WAS NOT WORKING!!! All my guests were miserable, no compensation for this from owner ! Zero ! He claims it was "an act of God" -that is BS !!!! Obviously the owner could care less, he's making enough money. For years I have been coming to this establishment, I am not so fast to return !! Just don't appreciate the attitude owner had about it at all !!!!

Yelp
Seventh Street Cafe is such a cute restaurant - and it's big! They do a lot of private parties and have a huge room downstairs. I came here with my fiance because we are considering to have our rehearsal dinner there and the staff was wonderful! The food is good, nothing spectacular but paired with some wine and a great ambience, it works. We share the fritto misto appetizer which came with a great sauce, a salad, and the chicken parm. Portion-wise, this isn't one of those Italian restaurants where you get enough food on one plate for a small country, but it was still hefty. Overall, we really enjoyed it at Seventh Street. Definitely a rehearsal dinner contender!

Yelp
This place went down hill!! our waiter up charger our food items which were inconsistent from menu prices. Dish came with salad option of Cesar. Waiter added Cesar salad charge $18. Fish dish was $24. Waiter charged $32. Mock tail had no alcohol and alcohol was charged with this drink. Waiter changed some of prices after arguing with him. Asked for manager.. waiter wouldn't get him. Called my credit card company to fix the rest. This place should be closed up. They are not a legit restaurant anymore!!

Yelp
First the cons: everything on the table from the bread plates to the water glasses to the silverware were filthy despite it being set for us. That's scary to see and not sure how they didn't noticed as they were all black or green and pretty obvious. It makes you wonder about the standards in the kitchen. The waitress didn't apologize but made a face when we showed her and that was also odd. An apology and maybe even a round of drinks or dessert to make up for that would have been classier. We had no trouble finding a table on a Wednesday night but many were full. We had the fish which was excellent !! And the chicken parm which was a big hit too! They're also willing to sub the pasta for a veggie which is always nice and appreciated . The only cocktail we tried was the limoncello and that too, tasted amazing! Of course, if everything was clean ( as it should be esp in GC and at a price point like this, but honestly anywhere should be serving on clean dishes etc) and/or the service was better when realizing this, then it would have been five stars for sure because the food and drinks were that food! Check everything when you go, beware of their dirty dishes, glasses and silverware.. unacceptable in any time or place, but in Covid times, that much more so!

Yelp
Awful, don't waste your money! Walked in to an empty restaurant asked if I had a reservation (we did) & they couldn't find it. No big deal. I order a drink the waiter didn't understand what Kettle One was, had me repeat 3 times & says ok, walks away just to have another waitress come up & says "what did you order? I'm sorry, he didn't understand what you asked for". Still no big deal. Clams on half shell were fishy, my friend asked for horseradish - again waiter had no clue what it even was. My skirt steak I ordered medium was BURNT! Tasted like charcoal. Overpriced terrible food & horrible service.
