Yelp
After a long car trip back to Dallas from New Mexico, our crew was famished for a reasonably-priced and conveniently located eats spot in Wichita Falls. We found Sevi's from Yelp and decided to take a shot. Here's what we discovered:
Location - extremely close to HWY 287 (1/2 mile or less), near the hospital. It made for easy exit and re-entry for getting back on the road again (cue music).
Building - no frills with high ceilings, booths and tables, one large flat-screen TV.
Service - couple of ladies working on a Wednesday night. They weren't slammed so they took our order right away and the kitchen had our orders out within 5-7 minutes. Pay out at the cash register at the front.
Food - what you were waiting for - like others have said: portions are massive. However, HOMEMADE tortillas which are velvety soft and slightly charred in spots from their once-over on the grill. Many choices for fillings including breakfast options (eggs, Chorizo, bacon, and potatoes) to barbacoa, steak, chicken, and pork. They do a scaled down version that includes only the meat and beans and potatoes. Or you can ramp it up to "supreme" level with tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, and guac. I had the barbacoa supreme. I found the meat flavorful and not too greasy. It was at least on par with Chipotle's version, if not a bit better. My travel companion had the breakfast version. She said it was tasty but nothing to write home about.
Salsa - they have a mild red and a hot green or verde. I thought the green one was better--fresher tasting with more heat but not overwhelming.
Price - VERY AFFORDABLE. I saw a lot of teenagers in there, which usually means big-bang-to-buck ratio.
Overall - I liked it and will remember it next time I'm passing through. It's the perfect thing to satiate any hungry travelers.
