A mom-and-pop favorite for Chinese and Vietnamese comfort—house potstickers, sesame tofu, chow fun, and soothing pho. Friendly service and fair prices keep locals returning.

Google
This place is always packed, so be prepared. The prices are a bit higher with smaller portions (except for the pho/ ramen) but the food was fantastic. The service was excellent.

We came from Roseville CA, to celebrate my son's bday . He wanted Vietnamese food. We googled a highly rated restaurant in Nevada. Wow it did not disappoint. Immediately energy we walked in . We were met with an amazing scent of delicious food. . The restrooms were extremely clean! And well stocked. The staff was the best Both people that welcomed us were extremely Nice and were very welcoming and polite. Never ever felt rushed . They suggested some good stuff. We had some calamari,I had a bbq noodle bowl and my sweet boy had a big delicious bowl of pho. everything was delicious! We arrived at a great time because it was getting very busy . But not overwhelming.. awesome place for Vietnamese food

Google
The environment is very clean. Art work is beautiful. Service was kind and attentive. I got #1 pho soup, steak flank and meatballs it was delicious. Potstickers had a blend of crispy and steamed to them and they're big which is very appealing, it did not disappoint when you take a bite, the meat was not shy and well cooked. Also the curtiousy of packing up the leftovers for you, made everything smoother. Well deserved 5 🌟!

Google
Food taste great but it is over priced for the portions they give you.

BlueRed F.

Google
Place small but cozy. Can be pack during eating time. Foods was great. Has both Vietnamese and Chinese foods. Price can be steep, little high for some items.

Angelica M.

Google
Please, ask for Angela, the best waitress ever. She’s always ready to suggest new dishes. She mentions the ingredients and describes flavors perfectly. The food is fresh and the servings are always super neat and perfect. All the staff is super welcoming. The place is small and it’s always packed around lunch but who cares when the food is great?

Google

Yelp
Came to Reno for the weekend and were craving pho. After seeing the great reviews, we decided to give this place a try--and we're so glad we did! We ordered the rare beef & flank pho, the flank steak & oxtail pho, and my mom had the sweet & sour pork with pork fried rice, pot stickers, and egg flower soup. Everything was delicious--the pho broth was rich and flavorful, and the Chinese dishes were just as tasty. They easily accommodated our party of 10, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was family-friendly. We've found our new favorite spot in Reno and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Probably the worst experience I've had at a Chinese restaurant! *I wanted to have a small cup of egg flower soup. I was told that they don't do that. I'd have to order a large bowl. They would put the rest I hadn't eaten into a container to go. So...I ordered the large bowl (+$12). The soup was unpleasantly thick, maybe a result of too much cornstarch. (Why weren't they willing to serve me a small cup as is usual in Chinese restaurants?) * I ordered chow mein. I got a bowl of noodles and pork. Except for a few slices of onions, it had no vegetables. (Usually chow mein includes stir fried vegetables.) When I requested vegetables, I was given a plate of steamed vegetables. I needed to be cut the broccoli in pieces because they were large florets. (Actually I wasn't given a knife. I had to use a fork and my teeth.) I was charged for this plate of steamed vegetables. The chow mein was greasy and too salty. A bad experience!

Yelp
First time checking out SF Kitchen here in Reno just off of the freeway at Mill St and Kietzke. They're said to serve both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. Let's check it out! Of course I had to try the Pho! I'm a sucker for a good Pho. So first--the restaurant was just what you would expect. A spacious dining area, wooden tables and chairs. Nothing too fancy. A chill ambiance, not too much for decor, but I didn't come there to stare at walls, I came to grub! Lol My buddy Yasir and I would grab seat in the back and chat and we'd both order a combination bowl with Flank and Rare steak. Verdict? Fast and friendly service, a steaming hot bowl of Pho with a delicious broth. I wish for more protein in this bowl please! Places like this always seem to serve you more noodles than meats, but I digress. The broth was killer and that order if spring rolls we got with that favorful pork and it's marinade... Mmm! Overall a traditional Vietnamese dining experience. How does it rank against places like Pho 999 or even an SK Noodle? There could be some friendly competition there, but all in all, I love how some restaurants strive to make slight deviations and distinctions in their dishes that set them apart. SF Kitchen does it. I'll come back and try one of their entree with the Mrs and give you a other review should you be on the fence. The Pho alone I think should make you curious. It's all about the broth! And service of course.

Yelp
This is one of our go-to stop because of the delicious food and vegetarian/vegan options. Today I got the special, Sizzling pork short ribs and it was just as delicious as everything else I've had. Every server we have had there has been incredibly kind in this cute little restaurant.
google avatar

Marvel M.

Yelp
The food is really good. The summer rolls are insane and so is the Mongolian beef. The only problem is that once it starts getting busy the service is awful because they only have two or three servers.
google avatar

Xuân Mai N.

Yelp
If you Vietnamese, please try Pho, i think pho is better than Bun Bo Hue Service is nice, highly recommend
google avatar

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
Love the ambiance in there and the customer service is always on point! Very friendly and quick service. The food is always delicious no matter what I order, but their lunch special honey garlic shrimp is my favorite! Was a little bummed this time around as I ordered the shrimp and got chicken instead. They offered to remake it but I have a short lunch and couldn't wait.
google avatar

Andrea F.

Yelp
Great broth and lovely server. Was craving Pho and wasn't disappointed. Got the #2. Wished I'd asked for more bean sprouts . It was so tasty though.

Yelp
Solid place for Viet foodfare. Good pho, Vermicilli and bbq pork/beef. Convenient location (for me anyway). Clean establishment and food came out fast. Not perfect 5 stars as while good it is also not exceptional. The pricing is on the slightly high side.
google avatar

Tamami T.

Yelp
A great find! My friend and I were out antiquing, and found ourselves suddenly very hungry for Pho. Did a Yelp search, and SF Kitchen came up, but neither of us knew about this place. It was on Tuesday close to 1 PM, and the place was really busy. Good sign. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean and cozy. Also a good sign. We ordered two different kind of Pho, and they were excellent! Great broth, plentiful noodles, and meat. Fresh veggies. The person who served us told us that it's always this busy at lunch time. So wonderful to hear! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. It is so clean. You can get off the floor. Their families lineage started as the best Chinese restaurant in San Francisco and migrated to northern Nevada years ago not operated in Sparks sang and Fiona and the nicest people in the world. Both their Vietnamese and Chinese food is second time.
google avatar

Nathan Y.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking up restaurants to eat at after a day at Northstar, and came across SF Kitchen, one of the only Vietnamese/Chinese places in the area. It's quite unassuming, and looks a bit plain on the inside, but the food is great! The extra large size of their pho bowls has a ton of noodles and meat, and taste exactly as you would like it to be. The servers were nice and informative, and if you're craving some pho, it's a spot to consider!
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
First time here. Today is Friday at 12:30. Lots of parking. The restaurant is large and clean. Lots of customers so this is a good sign! I had the General Chicken lunch special that come with Fried Rice and a cup of house soup. My Brother in-law had Lemon Chicken lunch special, and my wife had Chow fun noodles with Chicken in a br The food was served fairly gas and was delicious. I bookmarked this place and we will definitely return on an

Yelp
The pho is actually not bad, good broth with all the fixings that goes with pho. Also the bun bo hue was good too! Im glad i found a decent pho place by my house. Whenever I need a quick fix I come here. Service is quick and staff is friendly. Plenty of room in the dining room dont feel crowded and good lighting from outside.
google avatar

Tammy K.

Yelp
This was the first time we have eaten here. It was wonderful! The employees are very friendly and the food was wonderful! I would certainly like to return.
google avatar

Paige F.

Yelp
This is a weekly stop for me! The food and service are always so good! I alternate between the Wonton Egg Noodles and the Honey Garlic Tofu and usually start with an order of the tofu spring rolls.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
I have had this place on my list for years, but it didn't deliver. The ambiance is quaint, and the service is slow at best, but the food is also unremarkable at best. I tried this place at the recommendation of a coworker, and even took a date here to boot. They serve Chinese and Vietnamese fare, and fusion mashup cuisine has really jumped the shark for me, especially if poorly executed. This ended up being marginal at best. The potsticker appetizer was far too doughy. His dumpling filling even fell out in the shared soy sauce because of the lack of sufficient binders. We never finished them because the entrees had already arrived. My wor wonton soup, which I tend to order from Chinese restaurants in Reno, was very filling, if a bit bland (which is typical of authentic WWS). You can add all the flavors you like with the accompaniments at your table. His honey walnut shrimp was a lovely portion, yet unremarkable overall. When you're serving "too much, yet not enough," you run the risk of becoming a McDonalds instead of an In-N-Out. I wish this place had offered something redeemable that made us wish to return.
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
Overall food was decent. My bun Bo hue was better than most restaurants. Salt and pepper chicken wings wasn't that great, a little disappointed. Our friends had some of the Chinese food, honey walnut chicken and some fried rice was pretty good. We would come back when we're in town. Service was good. Staff were nice.
google avatar

Geo Z.

Yelp
The location is easy to find and the actual space itself is very cute and cozy and comfortable. I was greeted by a very kind and attentive lady with a warm smile and she checked in multiple times to make sure everything was to my liking. I ordered the Rare Steak Pho and at 16.50 a bowl it is well worth it, the amount of food I got easily filled me for the rest of the day. The broth is flavorful and hot like it's freshly made. Even on a hot summer day like today it was so appetizing and surprisingly refreshing when I was finished. If you're having second thoughts about this place I hope my review convinces you otherwise.
google avatar

Raven B.

Yelp
This place is always packed, so be prepared. The prices are a bit higher with smaller portions (except for the pho/ ramen) but the food was fantastic. The service was excellent.

Bryan H.

Yelp
Second review of this place. The Wor Wonton soup is so good, its what I order every time. I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Wesley C.

Yelp
This is a small restaurant with about a dozen or so tables. The ambience is warm and cozy, as well as clean. It's located in an older commercial area next to a port of subs. The food here was good. The Pho broth was tasteful and there were plenty of noodles and protein. The steam dumplings were delicious. The chow fun was good, however the gravy was a little bland. The service was great and pleasant. They were very attentive and the food was brought out quickly. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Crystal N.

Yelp
I orders food to-go and everything was absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed the potstickers and rare steak pho. Can't wait to go back again!!

Yelp
Not a Reno local, so my expectations were pretty low for Pho in Reno; however SF Kitchen's pho was actually pretty good! Ordered #1 beef pho and shared a spring roll and egg rolls with my party. Beef Pho - For Reno I thought this was a solid 5/5, but maybe if I was in SoCal this would have been 4/5, so still good none the less. The broth had a good amount of spices, and meat portions were generous. Egg Rolls - I loved the filling of the egg rolls, a bit overcooked but not too bad. The filling had a good amount of meat and veggies. Spring Rolls - a bit boring, but nothing terrible compared to what I would get in SoCal. Overall I would rate the beef pho at SF Kitchen pretty good!
google avatar

Melina M.

Yelp
It may not look the best from the outside, but the inside is absolutely amazing totally clean. Everyone is friendly. Food was beyond delicious. We will be going back.
google avatar

Mayte C.

Yelp
I'm very new to the Pho scene so I'll start off with that. Coworker said she wanted Pho so I hopped on Yelp to find a place. This place had positive reviews so we decided to try it out. Located in a small shopping area,, easy to find parking. Walked into a small restaurant area and was greeted politely and seated. It was welcoming and clean. I've had chicken Pho but decided to try the beef pho (#2) on the menu. Our food came out-- it was perfect temperature for a cold day! I liked the taste of the broth-- I meant to try the beef broth but it's on my list for next time. Loved the meat-- tender and flavorful. The rice noodles were good-- I can appreciate that it wasn't overwhelming noodles compared to the meat. I added some Sriracha sauce for a kick. Needless to say--- it was the perfect meal for a cold day. I will be more adventurous and try something else next time.
google avatar

Mahshid F.

Yelp
This little gem on Mill Street is perfect for a quick lunch bite on a workday! Try their Mongolian beef and Shrimp Lobster Sauce meal!

Mallory N.

Yelp
I love SF Kitchen. It's a hidden gem. The staff is so wonderful. Get the shrimp salad!! You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Pam H.

Yelp
Always on the search for the best pho. I have a family member that loves chicken pho and so we regularly explore different hot spots for just that. I love good broth but chicken is not my personal go to when ordering pho. I can definitely determine a good broth tho and it's been fun searching out top spots for the perfect one. I've heard great things about SF Kitchen and it did not disappoint. All of the right flavor profile. All the proper accouterments and the broth has that unctuous, shimmering fat floating atop. Definable try this place out. Great service and a cozy quaint vibe. Love!
google avatar

Michelle L M.

Yelp
Great Customer service. Ive lived here for a decade and have missed good Chinese food, BUT ALAS! I HAVE FOUND A GEM! . The Kung pao chicken (all white meat) is sooooooooo good!! 10/10

Linda A.

Yelp
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Reno! Consistently good. Friendly environment. Never disappoints!
google avatar

Amy O.

Yelp
3/9/2024- In the area and sopped in for lunch. Busy on this late lunch and with the cooler weather. Went with the honey garlic lunch, and the pork lunch with shrimp. A little too much sauce for the honey garlic chicken, but all was good.
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
It's alright -- it filled the stomach. Was in the area for a chore and stopped by for pho. Pho was decent, but the fresh rolls were pretty bad, ratios are totally off - not sure if bad batch because others said it was great. There's a buncha better pho places out there but overall it gets the job done.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
It was a cold night in Reno so I felt like some soup. It's a nice small place. I was seated almost instantly. My server was pleasant and my order was taken quickly. I ordered the egg rolls and Wor Wonton soup. The egg rolls (4) were a generous size, crispy and flavorful. The Wor Wonton soup was served in a large bowl bountiful with vegetables, shrimp, chicken pieces, pork, and what appeared to be fresh made wontons. The broth was rich and flavorful. It hit the spot for the cold night. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Rick M.

Yelp
It had been quite a while since I'd stopped in here and I'm kicking myself for taking so long to re-visit this little gem! If you've read any of my recent reviews, a lot of them are focused on my quest for my new favorite Pho in the area, since my previous favorite Pho place changed hands recently and the new owners changed the recipe...and their flavors are not as much to my liking as with the previous owner. This is a small place with a very comfortable interior and a great ambience. The service is great...very warm and cordial in my previous visits and that has continued with my recent visits. On my recent visits, I've been accompanied by a friend that's originally from Vietnam and is intimately familiar with the cuisine, having grown up with it. I've been introduced to some dishes that I was not familiar with in all my years of enjoying this food...it's been an amazing experience to learn more about it! We'll get into those further on in this review. Let's start with the Pho... This is now at the top of my list...with a minor exception that I'll elaborate on. Delicious, full flavored broth...plenty of proteins and veggies...all prepared on point. I ordered (on both visits): #1 Pho ($16.50) [Rare Steak, Flank, Meatballs] You also have the choice of Pho Noodles or Egg Noodles...I chose the traditional Pho Noodles. Plus, you also have the option to upsize to an XL bowl, extra meat or extra noodles. I didn't find it necessary, as it was plenty of food to satisfy my prodigious appetite. BUT...here's the minor exception I referred to earlier: No tripe or tendon! I love the texture that these proteins add to a bowl of Pho, but the co-owner informed me that the amount of work/time involved in preparing these items is prohibitive with their lack of kitchen staff. It still didn't prevent me from thoroughly enjoying their Pho...and I will be returning to enjoy it on a regular basis from here on. Now...on to the other dishes that I was introduced to. I tried a generous share of both of these dishes, thanks to my friend: #15 Bun Bo Hue ($15.50) [Spicy Beef Soup w/Large Vermicelli Noodles] This was an eye opener! Great flavors...great textures...absolutely outstanding! This is going to be a regular taste treat for me on my subsequent visits... #26 Canh Chua Ca ($21.50) [Vietnamese Hot & Sour Soup] The menu lists it as being available with Fish or Shrimp as the proteins...my friend ordered it with Catfish. Served w/Steamed Rice. Another eye opener! Again...great flavors...great textures...amazing! Almost an entire fish was in this complex broth...cooked perfectly... What a treat to learn about new food from someone that knows it! This is going to be a regular stop for me from now on... Drop by to see what tantalizes YOUR taste buds...

Yelp
Came in last week to warm up from the cold w their chicken pho and also tried the honey garlic chicken with fried rice. Loved every bite! The restaurant is clean, the staff friendly and attentive. I will reiterate what someone else had mentioned before; well worth the price point + 20% or higher tip!
google avatar

Toni F.

Yelp
I was overdue for lunch at SF Kitchen. I usually go for the lemongrass chicken or salt & pepper tofu but decided to try the walnut shrimp. Excellent! Tasty white sauce and crispy batter on the shrimp. Lunch specials come with a cup of soup, white or fried rice, and friendly service. Always a favorite spot!
google avatar

Allyson L.

Yelp
Might just be a contender for my favorite pho restaurant in Reno! The broth was clear and very flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of star anise, so no star anise flavor is ideal for me. The rare steak and flank were tender and not tough. Good ratio of noodles to meat. The summer rolls were jam packed too. The pork had a nice char to it. Definitely will be back!
google avatar

Maui J.

Yelp
Short Version: Assistance + Balance + Cleanliness + Deliciousness + Environment + Full Version: Assistance+ Service was quick prompt and kind. It was the last two hours of business and they made us feel a bit rushed but it was understandable. Balance+ Food to price. More food than I'd expected based on price. $22 for a soup, appetizers, main entree, and rice or noodles. Cleanliness+ Restaurant tables forks and dishes were clean. Deliciousness+ The hot and sour soup was to die for, the potstickers and springrolls were fantastic and the sesame chicken was delightful. Environment+ Very traditional Chinese/Vietnamese style decor, orderly, calm and relaxing.
google avatar

Vince Y.

Yelp
My fam has been here maybe 1 or 2 times in the past in Reno. It always happens when we don't want the regular fare near the casinos and drive out a bit. This is near a busy area out past downtown and the Mall area. I came here with my folks for dinner. I got the Pho and they got other dishes. My pho was good but nothing compares to larger XL sizes available in Sactown and of course, we have Little Saigon area in South Sac so there is no comparison. However, the broth was tasty. A decent amount of meat and noodles but not abundant by any means. The place was busy when we came and was full by the time we were leaving. This is likely as there are not many Vietnamese places to eat in Reno like the millions in Sac. This place is a solid choice for good Vietnamese cuisine when in Reno!
google avatar

Lyna N.

Yelp
One of the best pho spots in Reno, pho broth was really rich and flavorful! The spicy beef was also good, just add a lil more shrimp paste and yum! Definitely would be coming back
google avatar

Christy D.

Yelp
Clean not too busy. Food didn't stay hot very long. Not homogenous for walnut shrimp and soup of the day, egg drop soup had no flavor. It was quiet and not spendy. The staff were pleasant. Will I return, no

Cindy N.

Yelp
A little pricey but tasty. I think it's in a weird spot, so go in the daytime for sure.
google avatar

Quoc K.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. Stumbled upon this place while visiting GSR. Was craving Vietnamese food and their menu nailed it. Got the BBH and was not disappointed. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend to my fellow Vietnamese food lovers! Service was fast, we were in and out in about an hour (we had 12 people!!)

Brian G.

Yelp
Surprised I hadn't left a review of this place, it's been my favorite Vietnamese restaurant for a couple years now. The vermicelli and rice bowls are my favorites, always fresh ingredients, same with the summer rolls. Broth in the soups are always flavorful as well. I'd avoid any of the battered Chinese dishes, not my favorite. Highly recommend the lemongrass dish from the Chinese menu. Staff is the best, and although they can get overwhelmed they are still super friendly and accommodating. Good for a casual lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Arshi K.

Yelp
Service and ambiance was excellent; however the food was just ok. Maybe we chose the wrong things to get. We went in for a Chinese dinner and ordered: Fish clay pot - 6/10 Mongolian chicken - 8/10 King pao chicken - 7/10 All dishes were just ok, nothing was worth coming back for. We did notice a lot of people eating pho and going with the Vietnamese side of the menu so maybe we need to come back and try that. Will not try the Chinese side again.
google avatar

Wendy T.

Yelp
One of the best oxtail stew claypot here. It's savory. A touch of sweet thick still like consistency and it comes with rice. It was a perfect meal for us. The Bon Bu Hue spicy noodles were not spicy enough and they did not have the blood and it wasn't as thick as I wanted to be. I'm missing the pork leg too We would like to try the lunch specials lemon chicken with wonton soup (extra cost) and also their fried rice next time. Great find in Reno close to the river.
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
Had mixed veggies and chicken with garlic. Was so good! Everyone loved their choices. Recommended!!
