The selection is decent and prices are ok but the smell when you walk in is really off-putting. I've been twice now hoping it was just a bad day but it was the same both times. Hard to want to buy fresh produce when the store smells like that. They need to address it because the store has potential otherwise.

Best Asian market in LA are I have ever been. They carry so many many items that you can not find in any other Asian Market like 99 ranch or 168, if you are Chinese or Vietnamese this is heaven, they have everything that you can find in almost area, in herb area they miss few type of herbs but it is not major. I was very happy with the shopping today, they gave you gift like 10lbs of rice or today they gave me 2 pack of bird nest drink, they also give you free plastic bag, no need to pay 10cent like other market. The seafood and meat area are very clean and fresh, barely find anywhere nearby that have love oyster in water like here with that price. I found dried male papaya flower here, it is very rare product to find, I got it right away. I have been searching for it and even got the order to ship from Viet Nam to me, now I can get it here. I definitely always go here for my fresh food if they keep maintaining this good quality and service.

Services friendly, convenient location, have a lots variety snacks...but overall are expensive, many items are over priced.

Fully stock. I was able to find the items I was looking for. The lines were short. Checkout was quick.

Today, I went to purchase two live fish, but the worker at the fish counter tried to hide a dead fish among the live ones and sell it to me. When I pointed it out and asked for a fresh one, he became verbally and physically aggressive, even telling me to leave the store. He started saying offensive words, some of which were in a language I didn’t understand. I asked to speak with a manager, but the worker claimed he was the manager and continued telling me to go home. When I spoke to the front desk, they said the actual manager wasn’t in the store and started making excuses for the fish worker, saying he didn’t speak English well. I told them I would wait for the manager, and they said it would take 25 minutes. After waiting for 40 minutes, I realized the manager wasn’t going to show up. The store clearly didn’t care about addressing the issue.

It's a clean asian supermarket with plenty of the same offerings that other asian supermarkets have. One thing I live about this supermarket over some of the others is that it has a different unique variety of snacks and drinks that don't have the quantity or volume that is pushed to larger chains. I can't tell you what those snacks are else I can't find them again lol. You'll just have to explore and find them for yourself!

Sf Supermarket in West Covina is an Asian supermarket that isn't as popular or famous as 99 Ranch but they do have a lot of items that they have to offer. I feel like the staff here are super nice and will help you to look for a product that you can't find in the store. They are helpful and nice so don't be afraid to ask for help! Came here multiple times and I love getting their vegetables. It's not too expensive and it seems all very fresh. We also got their crabs which were on sale and a good deal. If you are looking for some great quality and good deals I think this place has it.

Stopped to pick up some fresh salmon but out of stock. Checked out produce section. Excellent choices of fresh veggies and fruits. Good deals on some seafood ( live fish, crabs etc) and meat/poultry. Fair prices on most products. Good service. Place clean and organized . Love their dragon ceiling displays. No warm, no friendly no cold no rude welcome either (not sure if dry is the word to describe). Still a fun place to go for grocery shopping. most likely fill up and satisfy shopper's needs.

Store looks clean doesn't have that typical stench when walking into an Asian grocery store of fermented something. Friendly cashier and bagger person at the register . Here to buy some ho fun noodles and egg noodles , ground pork , pork butt and dried squid , dai kon to make Cambodian kuy teav Phnom Penh noodles soup . Sadly they don't have the thick ho fun noodles , only available in the thin size . I did find some other future spices, sauces and ingredients for my pantry back-stock Their kaboche here is priced at 69 cents a lbs. better then the neighboring stores near by at $1.29 - $1.99 lbs.

One of the biggest Chinese-Vietnam supermarket in the area. They have huge varieties and the price is comparable. They also give out some gift if we spend certain dollars. The down side of this store is the service. It's a terrible. The cashier is rude and really slow. The security guard is also really mean. He was mad and yell at the elderly customer who wants to came in to the store at 8:50pm. He said the store is closed even though the closing hour on the door stated the close at 9pm. Hope they can improve the quality of service so people can shop comfortably.

Decent Asian market, lots of Chinese and Viet items for sure. I was pretty excited hearing that they were going to open one of these here, especially since this plaza and the one across the street are notorious for deleting markets. With the opening of the SF Supermarket, they also built a neat lion water fountain in front and both the store and the parking lot lights are pretty new and bright, so it's definitely improved the plaza overall. I generally only go to Asian markets to get junk for myself to eat or snack/candies for students and unfortunately, there's not much I can effectively get in terms of candy and snacks that makes it easy for me to split amongst many people here. Meaning less variety of candy and snacks that are individually packaged. I'd say go to 168 or 99 Ranch instead for those. In terms of just getting something just for myself to try? Not so bad. Overall decent.

First time here and no regrets. Their grand opening was just last month. A lot of sale items !!! Variety of exotic fruits you don't see and buy at other stores. Cashiers are friendly and quick at check outs. Ambience of store is very bright and spacious and clean. For a limited time you get a free gift item for every $20 spent as their opening promo.

I'm writing a Yelp Review for a supermarket and for good reason, this is one of the newest Asian grocers in West Covina, CA. It's part of the Chinese Vietnamese American supermarket chain, Shun Fat Supermarket, that can be seen across SoCal and other states like Nevada, Oregon, and Texas. I've been waiting to come to this place when they were doing construction and they have completely transformed the space. What was once a deserted and empty parking lot now has a beautiful fountain in front of the market, plants, and newly delineated parking. The supermarket is also huge, clean, and very well-organized. They're also giving away free gifts with different amounts of purchases. Check it out, but do note, it is really cold inside lolol. That AC be blasting LOLOL!

Its alright. Good but not great. Some fruits and vegetables has mold and they didn't take those out. Lots of varieties to choose. Price is ok. Not the cheapest or too expensive. Employees are just ok, not friendly, just straight face. I went there to get some Thai dried banana, the brand that I cannot find it other Asian supermarket.

It's so great to have a fully stocked Asian market nearby! This market is waaaay better than the one before it. They have a lot of inventory and I usually find anything I need here - standard things for Asian cooking and other items as well. Produce is fresh and they have a great variety. I haven't tried the seafood counter yet, but the meat counter usually has things I want/need. Things are clean and stacked well so you can see them and the prices. The people behind the counters and the checkers are friendly and helpful, too. I really hope people keep supporting this place because it's great and I hope it's here to stay. I think it will be at this rate.

I'm so glad that there's another Chinese supermarket "Shun Fat Supermarket" just opened in West Covina (next to neighboring city-Walnut). The plaza has been empty for so long and I'm so happy that SF chose this location here. They have grand opening today 9/1 and they have 3 days of free giveaways from 9/1-9/3. First 500 customers on 9/1-9/3 will receive a voucher for a 10 lbs bag of rice. They also have free gift for every purchase with minimum of $20. My friend and I got there before 9am on Grand Opening today and it was so packed in the parking lot. Its nice that they remodeled the parking lot so it looks new. We didn't know that we had to wait for more than an hour just to get in though and finally we were able to get in at around 10:25am after fire cracker and lion dancing. It is spacious inside and filled with all kinds of Asian food and produce. However, we didn't want to wait too long again at checkout so I only got a few items today. When you spend over $20 in these 3 days (9/1-9/3), just show them your receipt outside nearby the entrance, and then you can choose some freebies. If you are the first 500 lucky customers with the voucher just like me, you can also redeem the rice at the same spot (outside nearby the entrance area). 99 ranch supermarket finally has a strong competitor in this neighborhood now. P.S. hope they have more shopping carts available and I wish they will add bakery and deli section. I always like one stop shop.

Smells like urine by the meat and seafood section. I literally hurled. That was terrible!

We were so stoked to have another asian supermarket nearby. They sold a lot of chinese and Vietnamese goods. The veggies were labeled in both chinese and Vietnamese too, which I know my mom would appreciate. They didn't have a huge selection of snacks, but they had a good selection of canned and dried goods. The fruits and veggies were all fresh. I didn't have to pick forever to find a good one. They only had 2 registers open, but the cashiers were pretty fast. And the store was well organized outside of the aisles. Like, they kept the Vietnamese coffee next to the condensed milk, which made my life easier.

My new favorite Asian supermarket! They have a huge selection of fruits and vegetables. There's a lot of veggies here that sometimes you can only find at Vietnamese markets, but they have a good mix of both Chinese and Vietnamese, and even some Mexican. Tons of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood! Tons of frozen items! Tons of everything you can ask for! Not to mention most of the prices here are really good, and a lot of items come packaged in bundles that you don't see anywhere else. The first few months they were also giving out free goodies if you spend a certain amount. Now my new go to spot for whenever I go grocery shopping for asian foods!

Meats are always fresh and clean. Reasonably priced too. So are the vegetables but the fruits are a bit expensive. But everything else in the supermarket is a bargain, including Filipino products, coconut milk, coffee, snacks, etc. The place is bright and clean and employees are polite and helpful.

The cashiers have no manners. There is a guy in front of me asking for "Sesame Oil". She, the cashier, rudely asking me to get the sesame oil when I'm paying my groceries. I told her I am not with the guy. She does it again so I kind of angry and told her what is she talking about. I don't know the guy.

I'm so glad there's a new market in the area for us! It's only a few miles away for us when we need Asian produce and food! Everything looks brand new and clean, parking might be a pain when it's super packed. But you will find people leaving constantly. Can't wait to go back for more deals!

This place has a little bit of everything, from live frogs and catfish to lumpia wrappers and delicious mango ice cream. I am shocked! This is not your typical Chinese store as they seem to carry a wide array of products from MANY Asian cultures--I find it hard to find Menlo wrappers for filipino lumpia outside filipino grocery stores and was shocked that they stocked it. They even carried some Hmong sausage and longanisa (filipino sausage)! I have also found some giant mangoes in their produce department (bigger than my hand) and I am in love with their produce. Lots of vegetables and fruits at super reasonable prices, I even got to try some black muscadine grapes this week. Even their meat prices are cheaper than the mexican and other stores I was shocked. They also keep their meat/seafood area super clean and nose-worthy. This is definitely one of my new favorite places to shop for asian groceries!

The market in this plaza has been sitting empty for years since the last. SF Supermarket really invested in the plaza and the property and I hope they will stay open for years to come. They repaved the parking lot and brought some "life" to this once deadened plaza. I had not had a chance to stop by until a couple of weekends ago (Grand Opening 9/1), because it was a hail Mary for some ingredients for a dish and we were pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the meat and the produce section - and even more so with the pricing. The meat section actually cuts meat for you, per your needs, unlike 99 Ranch where they no longer cut meat (especially pork ribs). I did not get a chance to walk-thru the entire supermarket but it was easy to locate what I needed. I also purchased a freshly made dessert in the fridge and it was very delicious! Not too sweet and fresh ingredients. I enjoy the extra supermarket in the area and stop by every other week. Fair prices and great customer service.

I would have given a better rating if it wasn't for the rude "security guard" blocking the door at 8:45pm when I got there. Just needed to run in quickly to grab something. I can see the cashiers were still checking out stuff for customers. The store hours posted on the entrance show they close at 9pm! The rude guard said the store is closed now (at 8:45pm). He said I can talk to the manager if I have a problem with that. I said sure, go get him. He then said I'd need to call! Stupid man. If the store is not allowing people to go in at 8:45pm. Then change your signs!! Better yet, change your closing hours to 8:30pm if you don't want to pay employees overtime and make them clock out exactly at 9:00! I'm assuming that's the reason why the store does this, resulting inconveniences to customers. Plus, the idiot guard looks and smells like a thug, definitely not a "security guard"!

my go to chinese viet market since they have all the essentials for asian cooking. inside is brightly lit and always clean. all the times i've been it's never too crowded so it's easy to find everything you need without having to scoot between people. their produce is also fresh! make sure to bring a jacket bc their AC is always blasting so it's literally freezing in there!! the cashiers are nice and usually very quick.

Grand Opening today September 1, 2022 Everything brand new. Even they remodeled the parking lot and the lighting in the parking area.

this Tuesday we went to sf supermarket which locate san gebriel. we were bought some food, the foods good, it looks like better than others.

Truly heaven for someone from the Central Valley with little to no access to Asian produce! My MIL and I were like kids in a candy store, just enamored by everything they offered. The seafood and meat selections were way fresher and more affordable than 99 Ranch or other Chinese markets. They gifted us Japanese rice for spending over $100/the holiday! Can't wait to come back

The supermarket is very clean. Many of the product lower prices than any other market. The parking lot is pretty empty. I recommend this SF supermarket.

Finally SF market near me! Came in to grab some spices to make my pho! At SF, I find almost all the Asian foods that I need. Plenty of Asian veggies and foods. There's a huge space in the back for meats and fish.

I usually find what I need in here, but disappointed when I arrived at 8:52p and they wouldn't let me in because they close at 9p. Fyi when on yelp it says closes at 10p. So a bit frustrated. If you don't stay open till 9p change your hours to 8:30p.

Okay Asian supermarket, great price on veggies produce, but snacks tend to be more expensive than ranch 99. Sometimes staff pick the not fresh seafood for me, so be careful if you buy seafood there.

Finally!! Life back into this plaza. I was always sad to see how dead and dark this plaza was, especially at night. Went at 8pm on grand opening day and the parking lot was pretty packed still. Very clean and organized inside, good seafood variety as well!

They advertise to close at 8pm but they close their doors at 750pm! I just wanted to get 1 item but was disappointed.

Loving having an Asian grocery store close to my home. There are so many groceries. I love it. Meat and fish are fresh. Has all my staples so that I don't have to drive far. They are locate in a shopping mall with lots of food and tea house. There is a CVS too Great location.

I just need to get one item real quick and it was only 8:50pm, still 10 more min left before store is closed with many customers inside, this security guy is rude and won't let me in. Suggest to fire this a**hole who treats customer poorly.

Nice newly opened market which is bright and clean. But everything is so expensive now so not much of deals here. Parking lot is large and service was friendly enough. They were having some kind of drink giveaway which I didn't know till another customer told me to go back inside to get a six pack of milk juice for free! I dont live in the area but I usually go to 99 market but this market is well stocked

Cheating free 10 lb rice. Security spends the coupon while we were in the line and he was still holding a stack of the cards, and told us that you have to purchase which is not on their advertising. After we purchase something and show the security he say no more what do you mean he cheat us to purchase a without dispense those coupon. Is he saving for his family that's cheating. It makes SF supermarket very very bad image and no star I should give it no stars.

I just left the SF supermarket very angry. I went to buy a bag of rice and lettuces. There were two green batches in one bag for $0.99 and the cashier thought I cheated. She didn't believe me and she sent a lady to check if I were right. That lady checked and went back of the store and switched out the lettuces. This is unacceptable and disrespectful to me. I will take my business and money elsewhere!

I was happy that SF finally opened a supermarket in this area. Pricing is not a WOW deal! I won't be back unless I am lazy to drive to Nogales and Gale supermarket.

I went SF supermarket Friday September 2,2022 . There was a special for live lobster at $ 9.99 per pound. It tasted really good if you steam the lobster. The supermarket is very big and has a lot of various items . Due to the hot weather and long weekend , the market still has a lot of customers. It really helps the surrounding residents to get the groceries.

I feel bad for giving this store 3 stars only because the lady at the counter and the evening manager were very nice and accommodating. The 3 stars is because of their security guard on duty on 08/30/23 PM. I believe his name is Humberto. No last name was provided. It was close to 9pm as me and wife entered the store to get 1 item. The sliding door did not operate automatically but it was not locked. My wife tapped the door and it opened. There was a cashier still at the counter, and some shoppers finishing up. As my wife grabbed the item and approached the cashier, Humberto, the security guard came from across the store screaming and waiving at us. Aggressively, he was already angrily telling us that we are trespassing. At this time, my wife was already paying because the cashier said it was ok and went ahead and helped my wife. The Manager was also saying it's ok, it's ok. But Humberto, still screaming and said "It's NOT OK, I am the security and you are trespassing". I was shocked at his over reaction so I asked him to please calm down as he was already causing a scene. I said, we're leaving, we got the item and were done. He said "NO, I'm calling the cops, you are trespassing". As the manager gestured that we can leave, we exited the store. Humberto followed us outside screaming and yelling that we are trespassing. I urged him again to calm down but he proceeded to be aggressive, yell, and scream and threaten to call the cops. At this point i yelled back at him and we went on a screaming match for about a couple of minutes, but I kept my distance. He was visibly shaking and was very angry and was going in and out of the store as he continued to (pretend) to dial the police. We then proceeded to leave. I want to note that the store closes at 9pm. Our receipt shows that my wife paid for the item at 8:58PM. We were not trespassing. I am sure the cameras can confirm my story as I can be seen with my hands up gesturing him to calm down, the cashier gesturing to my wife that she can help her, and the manager gesturing that it's ok. The security guard was the only one visibly angry. The over reaction was completely unnecessary and out of line. For him to approach a customer aggressively, angrily, and accuse us of trespassing while other customers are still inside the store, is a bad representation of the store or the security agency that he works for. While the store staff was accommodating, the security guard was the one that escalated the situation. This man will put the customers and the store staff in harms way if he continues to act this way. I don't know this man. I don't want him to lose his livelihood. But I also believe that his behavior showed that he is not fit to be a security guard. He will put the customers and the store staff in a very uncomfortable and risky situation. I don't know what this review will do, but I would be extremely disappointed with the store management if they continue to keep this man as their security.

They use bs price tactics here at this market. No advertisement of correct pricing. For example, cilantro. They advertise it's 59c each bundle, no mention of discount if you buy more until they ring you up at the register.

$$$ and not too much traditional Asian food. It's extremely hard to get a parking spot

They had mostly everything I need/use for my Indonesian cooking/recipes. The only thing I didn't see was "tempeh" (usually in frozen section) and the Panda brand egg roll wrappers that I prefer over the ones the store carried. But overall I really like the market!! So glad there's an international market close by.

Shopped there for 3 times and having the same issue. The listing price of some items don't match the cashier registers. We have to check our receipt or we will pay more than the actual price. The cashier and the manager weren't appreciated when we pointed out the errors. Also need some improvement on customers service.

It's a nice store but not as crowded as Rosemead one. Also the prices are higher than in Rosemead area. Parking is good though and it is more convenient if you are not near Rosemead.
