I saw some of the negative reviews here, so I wanted to see what everyone was talking about.
I'll simply say that it's a new restaurant, and its clear that the staff is working their kinks out. First, I couldn't get a hold of the place via phone that needs to be fixed. Next, I went in person, and two pizzas took a little over 30 minutes, which isn't the biggest wait, but I still can't help but feel that it was too long. Last gripes about the place, yeah, the music was a little loud.
So negative takeaways
-needs to fix phone/ ordering system
-needs to pick up the speed of service
-turn down the music haha.
Now actually trying the pizza...well, it wasn't that bad. Sure there have been better pizzas in Dallas, but there are far worse than this place. I appreciated that this business was opened until midnight on a Sunday night; it's nice to have more options for a late-night meal downtown. The most important thing I saw was that the cooks and managers behind the counter were moving to get the job done, mistakes were made, and staff went to the back to vent out frustrations, but they were trying, learning, and working hard. The kitchen manager and or head cook (wasn't sure what the guy's role was, he had glasses) could probably work on his soft skills and general communication, but he was directing what appeared to be a rookie staff pretty well. This place will get better, I probably won't be back for a while, but If I need something after hours, it will be considered.
