"Our Favorite Dishes: Pork Hamburger, Biang Biang Noodles The food at Shaanxi Garden is mostly from the northwest of China, and one of that area’s claims to fame is that they invented a kind of hamburger. It involves a crispy fried “bun” that’s really more like dumpling dough, stuffed with delicious shredded pork that you should absolutely cover with the chilli oil on your table. All the better to go with the Chinese talent shows they have playing in the very simple space." - Jess Basser Sanders, Amy Clark, Brant Cox, Brett Keating

The food in Shaanxi is really authentic and delicious since the owner of this restaurant came from Shaanxi originally. The owner was also really nice -- she recommended us a few dishes as we didn't know what to order. And all the dish she recommended turned out to be good.

Really liked all the food. There are mamy great things on the menu. I strongly suggest the lamb buns, the Biangbiang noodles, and the dumplings. They give great portions and everything is relatively inexpensive. The waiters are extremly nice and they really tried to help even tho there was a slight language barrier. The resturant is very nice and clean. Ive been here a few times and they always have chinese television playing, even tho i didnt know what it was saying most of the native speakers seemed to enjoy it. All around great meal and great atmosphere, highly recomend!

at first it was hard to find in the complex, but it's in the right corner on the 1st floor. it's easy to miss, but don't overlook this place because the food was flavorful. the waitress didn't speak much English, they speak mandarin but can understand some english, but I was able to show her a picture of what I wanted to eat (I was actually looking for szechuan food but everything closed by 8pm) and amazingly, she pointed out what I was looking for on the menu just by looking at pictures from other restaurants. she was super nice and very courteous. the dishes we had were exactly what we were looking for. very flavorful, very tasty, spicy just the way we like it. it's a different but good flavor that you don't typically get in the sgv. iykyk! we ordered A2: fish filled in hot chili oil with mixed vegetables and A6: chicken gristle (which is with tendon) spicy we should have ordered more!

The food here is so amazingly authentic. You know you're in the right place when the shop name is in characters and the wait staff call you foreigners. Portions are more than generous, food is SO fresh, and the price can't be beat. The staff was so sweet when they saw me struggle with their incredibly long hand pulled noodles and brought me scissors so this white girl could cut into manageable bites. Would 100% come here again, I can't wait for my next trip to California

Food is awesome. Authentic Shaanxi cuisine. The staff are very friendly and recommended their best dishes to me. FYI: cash only for order under $25.

It packed some punch. Small little shop with prompt service and noodles to make you go shave your poodle.

Super tasty AUTHENTIC Shaanxi cuisine! If you’re from Xi’an like me, you won’t be disappointed. They even have Mashi 烩麻食 and QiShanSaoZi Noodle 岐山臊子面which are rare to find!! Their service was immaculate, everyone was very polite and cared about whether you enjoyed each dish or not. How come I missed this gem for all those years living in LA, I’ll definitely come back very often from now on.

When I came to get my takeaway the cashier was so angry at me that I don't know why I was treated like this? Her attitude scares me! Slapping the table when you give me the receipt? A very fierce face to me... ... I'm afraid of! I must beg an explanation for myself! Listen to my friend say here of the madame still call names? I don't know if it's true... ...
