I swear I've driven past this place for two years and thought are they really open for business. I never see any cars in the parking lot an then one day, it's packed. So of course, we had to try it.
Walking in is like stepping into a gearhead's fever dream: walls festooned with Michelin and Citroën memorabilia, 2 big vintage cars in stale, polished hubcaps gleaming in the light. It's like someone fused a French auto museum with a café. Voilà! The weather was beautiful, so we claimed a spot on the back patio which was bustling--it felt like the restaurant's secret happy place. We started with escargot (simple and quite delicious) and then split the peppercorn hanger steak. Now, full disclosure: some bites verged on "rare" for my taste, but most were beautifully cooked--juicy, peppery, and satisfying. Generous for a shared plate. I sipped on a Bloody Mary (spicy, tangy, slightly rebellious) while my friend sampled two glasses of the house Pinot Grigio, which he pronounced "very good" Ambiance? Delightful. Quirky, charming, with car nerd touches that made me smile. Food? Solid, with a few "edge‑of‑rare" moments but overall commendable. Price? Definitely on the steeper side--be prepared for it. Would I go back? Oh, absolutely. But next time, I'll ask for "medium :-)
