We have been working at Shadowbrook since 2012 and it has been nothing short of amazing! Remember working there before the huge renovations and they did an excellent job! The food is great, the staff is probably the best we have ever worked with, and overall a Five Star wedding & event venue! Highly recommend them!

I photographed Kate and Rob’s wedding at Shadowbrook last month and the staff went above and beyond, as they always do at this venue. My sister-in-law was married here years ago so I’ve seen first hand on both the client side and the vendor side how attentive and professional they are. Not only that but the venue is spectacular and has so many beautiful spots for photos. Kate and Rob were married on a 20 degree day so having a variety of indoor spots to shoot in was key to a varied gallery and album of images. Shadowbrook is one of the few NJ venues that offers plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommend!

This was the fanciest venue I've ever been to. Went to a wedding a few weeks ago and was so impressed by everything this place had to offer from the elegant beautiful interior decor and outdoor gardens and firepits and patio seating, to the amazing cocktail hour food and fine details. It was just amazing all around. I loved the Chihuly glass chandelier and the black and gold decor. Even the bathroom was fabulous. I could really go on and on about how impressive this venue was. Loved it.

The whole team at Shadowbrook, from communication with Mark (the owner), Stephanie who helped us plan every last detail of our unforgettable day, to our Maitre D and their team that kept the entire day on track and did everything in their power to make sure we had nothing to worry about or stress was ABOVE AND BEYOND. The attention to detail, the quality of the service, the amazing food (which all of our friends and family still talk about 1 year later) just completely blew us away. That is before you even discuss the beauty of the property and the building and its new renovations, the Salon for the bride and her friends and family to get ready in is an experience that is a MUST have. If you haven't experienced a wedding at Shadowbrook you haven't truly experienced the best wedding you may ever experience. We are forever grateful to Mark and everyone on his team for making it the best day of our lives.

We had the pleasure of filming a wedding here on 2024-03-03. Our Maitre D Phillip was a pleasure to work with and made the day flow so smoothly. The venue is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever filmed. Highly recommend!

All I have to say is Wow Wow Wow. My daughter got married last Friday. The service, the venue, the food was off the charts. The premises was magical. The organization of the wedding was great. My husband and I had the most amazing wedding night, without a worry in the world, all because we had our wedding at the Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury. Everything is absolutely stunning and every single staff member is remarkable. We got ready in the salon, and it was worth every penny. The attendants took such good care of us, we had everything we needed (breakfast, lunch, drinks, steamer, even crazy glue), one of my bridesmaids even thanked me for letting her be a part of this great experience. HUGE thank you to Dan, Corrine, and Carl for all they did the day of to make sure we had the time of our lives and for listening to our vision and executing it flawlessly, and to Marc for answering every single one of my emails with a personal phone call, and to all of the waitstaff and bartenders for being so attentive and caring with our guests. Since our wedding, we keep hearing the same feedback: 1. every bite of food they ate was phenomenal, 2. the staff was unbelievable and 3. every single aspect of the venue and its ambience was gorgeous. As the bride and groom, we wholeheartedly agree with all of those statements. If you have the opportunity to get married at the Shadowbrook, from one bride to another... BOOK IT!

WHAT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. I attended my husband's uncle's wedding this evening, at this magical Mansion in New Jersey. Upon arrival the decor was astonishing, as if I walked into a fairytale just breath taking. Guests started with the wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony was followed by happy hour. Happy hour consisted of open bar, unlimited seafood, steak, lamb chops , pastas , fruits and more . I was full just by the happy hour session lol. The food was tasty and fresh . Then it was party time. The hall was decorated so nicely, from the flower arrangements to the lighting it all was a DREAM. As we were seated we had arugula salad with cheese and fig, unlimited bread and wine. Next was the main course. I had steak medium rare with mash potatoes and broccoli. My husband had garlic and herb chicken with mash potatoes and string beans. The food was out of this WORLD absolutely something to talk about. The DJ had the tunes going and the drinks were flowing. We danced the night away with love with family. We are a blended family so we had a mixture of Caribbean music and Italian music , no one could remain seating lol. I'm so happy I was able to be present for this union. I love my family oh so much .

Absolutely a luxurious and extravagant event venue that gives exacting attention to every detail. Attended a wedding here and was completely blown away by the beauty of the venue and service of the staff. Shadow room at Shrewsbury is stunning! This is definitely the spot to have the wedding of your dreams, so long as your bank account is also the one of your dreams. Dollar, dollar bill, y'alllll.

What a beautiful venue. The inside is decorated with chandeliers and flowers. We were in one of the ballrooms and it was very grand. Might have been the best wedding meal I have had too. The pork chop is a must order. Not sure how they prepared it but it was perfectly cooked. So good. The food overall was fresh and even during cocktail hour everything was good. They do a nice job! Check it out!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !! The facility, the people, the quality of everything was top notch for my nieces wedding. Really hard to beat. Second to NONE !!

I got married at this beautiful Estate 21 year's ago. They did have a restaurant. So my husband and I ventured back to see if they offered outdoor dining and they are renovating the whole place. I can't wait to return. Before getting married I visited this place for brunch and fell in love! I always told my parents If I ever get married it will have to be my dream Shadowbrook.This place is near and dear to my heart!

I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about Shadowbrook. If you are looking for a wedding venue, pick the Shadowbrook. You will have the time of your life and the wedding of your dreams. Every single detail is flawless. The food, drinks, atmosphere, staff, ambiance, everything is 10/10. The bridal suite to get ready in was so fun and the food was great. The bridal attendants during the day were awesome. As for my day of bridal coordinator, Stephanie, she seriously made my wedding. We had fun together, she made me so calm and took care of literally ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. She got whatever we needed. She was the best. Danny, the maître d, was super helpful and on point of everything. Marc was also such a key part in making our night absolutely flawless. They all had the timing down perfectly. It is such a smoothly run operation. As the bride, I seriously could just enjoy every single minute and know they were taking care of it all for me. Every single employee was kind and attentive. So many of our guests commented on this. Arlinda was the original key point person that sold us on the venue. The dance floor is huge. The room is spectacular. There is a stage for the band. The food is delicious. The cocktail hour is out of this world. There are so many different stations for food. They have little mini drinks that go around with fun food items. The ice luge was a hit. It is almost a month later and all my friends and parent's friends are still talking about the wedding. I cannot thank Shadowbrook enough. You gave us the best day of our entire lives. We will forever remember it all and miss that day. We love looking through our pictures to relive it. Thank you, thank you Stephanie, Marc, Danny, Arlinda, and every single employee at Shadowbrook. My wife and I were recently married at The Shadowbrook. Our experience was incredible, from the first phone call we made to book a meeting , to the day after our wedding. Mark was professional, fun, and, and a well rounded expert at his craft. Mark and Amy picked up every call, and answered every text immediately while we were planning our wedding. The food, the drinks, the service was an experience on its own. My family and my wife's family were catered to hand and foot. My wife and I felt like royalty. Carl and Danny were great, they had eyes on us and the whole party all night long. At times it felt like they were teleporting, amazing how they could move so fast. I turned around and they were behind us, I couldn't even get the question or request out, they had the answer (amazing). Stephanie was a God send. She spent the whole night with my wife helping her, and being right by her side. She was attentive, kind, and an all around good person. Looking back we couldn't imagine our day without her. She has truly become a part of our memories of the day. It's been 3 days since our wedding and our phones haven't stopped ringing with our guests raving about the amazing time they all had, from the decor to the service, there was nothing by 5 star reviews of the venue. The team at The Shadowbrook is without a doubt the best. Our wedding was spectacular, we are forever grateful. Thank you to the whole staff. Because of the Shadowbrook our forever has had the most magical start. We love you guys!

This place is fantastic to have your wedding!! My son was married here 2 years ago when it changed hands & it was better than we could imagine...staff is fantastic, owner is classy & wonderful. Don't hesitate If you are undecided, it's fabulous...

My son was married last weekend at the Shadowbrook and I cannot say enough about how fantastic they were. From the coordination of the ceremony, to the food, the atmosphere, the gardens, the staff, the transportation, everything was perfect. We had friends and family come from all over, some from the west coast, the south, one couple from England and one from South Africa. Every single person raved about the Shadowbrook. We had the threat of a storm coming in, they called the bride in the morning to assure her that everything would be fine. The ceremony was outdoors but they moved the appetizers inside, leaving garden access open. As luck would have it the storm passed us but the staff was 100% prepared. Bottom line, we couldn't be happier that our new daughter in law picked the Shadowbrook. Edit: a special shout out to Jenna and Matt who attended to our every need through the evening.

What an amazing place to hold a wedding reception. The food, the staff, the location, everything was fantastic. I couldn't believe the variety of food they had and everything was delicious.

I attended a wedding here last weekend. It was the nicest wedding I have ever attended. Starting by the happy hour which it actually lasted an hour and a half. They had sushi, bacon, lamb, etc. There was so much food I got full eating during happy hour and I purposely went all day without eating so I could eat at this evening wedding. When dinner was served I thought I couldn't eat anymore but everything looked so good I had to eat it. They served a salad with goat cheese and olive oil, it was amazing. One of three options for our entree was fish with smash potatoes. I don't remember what were the other options. They also served regular coffee, cappuccino and espresso besides the alcoholic drinks and champagne. They had three rooms full of dessert. It was like Willie Wanka's chocolate factory; each time I grabbed something I found something that looked even tastier. Overall, the wedding, the place and the staff were excellent.

My husband and I got married at Shadowbrook on November 7th, and we, along with our guests, cannot stop talking about how fabulous the night was. We booked our wedding back in January 2015, and had mixed feelings when we heard about the acquisition. Although we were more than happy with Shadowbrook's original service, style, and food choices, Amy, Jana, Matt and the entire gang from Seasons & The Venetian made sure we still received everything promised to us and more. They were overly accommodating when it came to menu selection, guests with food restrictions, children's activities, decorations, etc... This was certainly the most pleasant part of our entire wedding planning process. On the day of our wedding the staff did not skip a beat. The Maître D' and bridal assistant were there wherever we turned. Our guests raved about the 1 server per table service, as their drinks never got low & they never had to wait in line at the bar.. We were also told that that coming into the venue, they were well instructed on where to go and time line of events, leaving no room for confusion and making them immediately comfortable. I must also point out that the cocktail hour was AMAZING. The set up was beautiful and elegant, and the food was out of this world. I am not a pork or beef eater, but our guests raved about the rack of lamb, and the steak served at dinner. The next morning we came to pick up our decorations and things we left behind. The same staff from the night before came out to our car, as if in an assembly line, and packed our car up for us in minutes. We didn't have to lift a finger. Our entire experience from beginning to end was just flawless. Thank you from the bottom of our heart to our new friends at Shadowbrook for giving us our dream wedding!

I don't have the time to write reviews but in this case I must. Recently we had a very special birthday party there. I chose the Shadowbrook because they are associated with the owners of The Venetian and the Seasons both of him I have had great past experiences. I must add the Shadowbrook to the list of great wedding and party venues. My family and I could not have had a better experience. Everything and everybody was first rate and first class. Mark, Dan, Amy, Carl...the whole crew. Yelp only allows 5 stars. I would give them 10 out of 10! Thank you for an amazing job!

We had our sons' wedding at the Shadowbrook last weekend .. Words cannot express just how wonderful the entire process was .. The initial booking process to the magical wedding night!!! Our family & friends could not stop raving that this was the best wedding that they have ever attended .... The food, service, staff & ambiance of the grounds of the mansion made the evening so special .. We would recommend the Shadowbrook for an event to remember ....

Had my daughters wedding here last week! All I can say was this place was absolutely awesome! The food, service and setting was fabulous! I received so many thanks and good feedback from friends and family about our wedding. The staff was superb and attentive to every detail and request that we had! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a Cinderella wedding. There are not enough adjectives to explain how satisfied we were.

I don't even know where to begin (in a good way). Shadowbrook was the first venue my husband and I looked at for the wedding, I would have booked it immediately if that wouldn't have actually seemed insane. Instead we booked them two days later. Not only is the place stunningly gorgeous, the food is absolutely to die for! It's been a month since our wedding and we are still hearing glowing reviews from all our guests about how amazing the food was! If you are booking them- tell your guests not to eat for a week in preparation. The whole staff goes above and beyond for you- which they tell you they will from the moment you sign the contract, as does everyone. This team delivered beyond my wildest dreams. They took every phone call graciously, didn't try to upsell you, treated all our guests like family, ran a smooth and seemless dinner/cocktail service and didn't even break a sweat. I'd like to thank some members of the team individually. Because I just need to. Carl- The first person we met and the last face we saw that night. Carl is really with you every step of the way in designing your perfect day. He answers the phone as if he was always expecting your call and did not say no to a single, crazy bride thing I had to say or ask. I joked that I half booked the Shadowbrook because it's gorgeous and half for Carl. My fiancé made a lot of joke about how I would one day leave him for Carl, and that he would totally understand. Carl, thank you so much for everything Amy- Amy is an actual angel here on earth. She holds the history of the building, tons of wisdom and the worlds loveliest disposition. Thank you Amy for all your suggestions, your humor and loving spirit, and for always making us feel like you had our backs. Thank you. Judeine- If you needed anymore reasons to book the Shadowbrook, look no further. Judeine (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong) is the bridal attendant for your big day. I felt like she had known me for years. She took care of me, straight up. The girl helped me use the bathroom, bustled my dress, changed my shoes, loosened my corset, made sure my parents were comfortable and happy, got drinks, made sure we ate, told me when I had lipstick on my teeth, kept our photographers moving, wrapped up all our cake cutters/champagne flutes/top tier of the cake/menus and other keep sakes/anything else you can think of. She did this all while making sure to include my maid of honor in it all. She did all of this without breaking a sweat and I am truly, truly and eternally grateful to have had her with me on the day of my wedding. I think it's safe to say we're best friends now (I should be so lucky). Judeine- thank you so much for everything. And good luck with the rest of school! Seriously, the Shadowbrook made all my dreams come true and it was truly a group effort. My husband and I keep saying we hope we get invited to a wedding there so we can experience it as a guest because our guest will not stop talking about it. Book them. You won't regret it.

WOW. Our wedding at the Shadowbrook was an absolute dream and then some. We started off working with Amy who was always so nice and easy to get in touch with and communicate with. The Shadowbrook itself is a breathtaking venue with history imbedded in every detail. Since we had a winter wedding, all of the decor for the holidays was absolutely beautiful. ALL of our guests had a blast and couldn't get over the unbelievable cocktail hour and food overall. Carl and Stephanie were so accommodating and professional. They even had a spare pair of flip flops for me. This is a 5 start venue all around. I would recommend any couple looking for venues to make an appointment here! The best of the best!

I wish i can give them 1,000 stars they are simply amazing. I really dont even know where to begin but to start my husband and I couldnt have found a more perfect place to have our wedding i fell inlove from day one and after our wedding was over i was more inlove with the whole place than i thought i could be the staff is perfection they all know what to do and are right there when u need them and super polite nicest group of people and let me tell you viktoria and matt are by far some of the sweetest people ever they really went above and beyond and i could be more thankful for them on our special day soo thankyou so much for a dream come true a beautiful fairytale wedding everything was perfect deff would recommend in a second to everyonee

You will have the best photos if you get married here regardless of weather or time of year. I was married here with previous owners in 2013. The grounds are amazing, the rooms where you get ready -bridal suite and for grooms room too, the staircase, everything, the bars. Make sure your photographer takes advantage of this place. As someone already married- that is what you have to look back on and you will be thrilled to have awesome photos like so so many you love cuz you chose Shadowbrook.

I can only give it 5 stars? There are not enough stars in the sky for the Shadowbrook. The crowning grace of my daughter's perfect wedding day was the reception at the Shadowbrook. When we pulled up in the limousine the building had a special glow. When we stepped inside, the mansion looked spectacular. The bridal suite was the start of a remarkable evening. The service, the drinks, the chance to see the wedding party and the parents chatting and relaxing got the evening off to an excellent start. The cocktail hour was sensational. The food, the drinks, the flow between the rooms, and the attentiveness of the staff created an atmosphere where the food possibilities were endless. I cannot count the number of our guests who came up to me raving about the food. They kept saying "did you try this, did you try that" etc. The food was absolutely the best cocktail hour food of any wedding that I have ever attended. When we entered the main dining room the wedding experience was taken to another level. The chandeliers, the wall sconces, the fireplaces, the table settings, the white glove treatment provided an elegance that I had never experienced previously. Everyone raved about their choice of entree. People who told me they normally do not eat red meat were praising the Chateaubriand, my mother in law who normally does not eat fish was could not stop talking about the Chilean sea bass. The attentiveness of the wait staff was unparalleled and was a perfect complement to the sensational food. I thought I could not imagine the night getting better; I was wrong. It started with the "fire show" which was breathtaking. It progressed to the Viennese room. The Viennese room experience just put the entire wedding over the top. The wedding went from great to legendary. So many people, including my cousin who attended a 24 hour wedding event in Spain, said this was the best wedding they ever attended. He said the all the food, and the deserts were better than any food he had on the many cruises he had taken. My friends, who have unmarried daughters, said that with this wedding we had set the bar so high they were "mad" at us! My expectations for the Shadowbrook were very high. They were exceeded in every way on every level. The food, the atmosphere, and the extraordinary service, the attention to detail, created the dream wedding my wife and I wanted for our daughter. I cannot thank you enough for the efforts of the staff working the event. Special mention goes to Stephanie and Matt for their exemplary service. They gave all of us that special confidence that the night was going to be perfect. Every need, want and desire was taken care of. I cannot thank them enough for their efforts. My wife and I also greatly appreciated Mark and Dan being there to be sure everything went perfectly.

Shadowbrook was the most amazing venue I have been to! From the very beginning you feel like the staff is there for you! Everything ran smoothly on the day off! Except that I forgot the wedding license haha, but they even helped us get it all figured out! The food had to been the best food I have ever had! People are still raving about the cocktail hour and how full they were after dinner. The renovations they did to the house made it even more magical! They didn't change the beauty of the building or the special details, but they upgraded the floors and other things that needed some love! The place feels like a castle! I felt like a princess the entire time! STAFF Service- OUTSTANDING white glove service! To waiters to the valet people! Everyone was ready and on point the entire time! Amy- Amy is the initial person to help us tour and book the venue! She was amazing and always willing to help out! Even on the day of the wedding she was there helping my ring bearer not scream down the aisle haha. We loved her! Mark- We then met the MARK! He was the best! He made us feel comfortable about signing a contract and explained everything perfectly! He was even there to congratulate us when we were eating dinner at the reception. Just an overall nice guy that wants you to have the time of your life! Jana- She helped us with all our questions and made us feel more comfortable with everything! She is a doll! She responds to all emails quickly and calls you when needed. Bridal attendant Brittany- SHE WAS SOOOO AMAZING! She never missed a beat. She was there for everything and helped me with everything. She even somehow managed to get blood out of my dress!!!!! I always had everything I needed including a drink in my hand at all times haha. She even seemed to be a ghost that just would pop up when needed. At one point my husband was screaming to me that he needed his jacket and she was right behind him with it! She was sweet and kind and made me feel better about everything. I'm so happy we had her! Maitre D Jerry- AMAZING! He is such a nice guy and easy to work with. You just have to mention things once to him! Nothing went wrong everything was perfect and smooth. He was social with my guests and there whenever we needed him. Nothing went wrong at all!!! Everything was sooo perfect because of him! Thank you Jerry! FOOD- The food was out of this world. Nothing could have been better! I got to try most of the cocktail hour food and I was in heaven! Sooooo nervous about the food because to me that is the best part. Nothing to be nervous about because it was more than anyone could expect! I had to force myself to eat dinner though because it was sooo good. You get a lot of choices too! Venue- Loved everything about this magical old mansion! It was like a fairytale! The flowers and the grounds are sooo amazing. The entire house is just so breathtaking. You will be blown away because I never expected to drive down the road and see this mansion tucked away. LOVED IT!!! The dance floor was a perfect size! Table, linens, and decorations were perfect! I could not asked for anything more. My advice is don't take pictures on the stairs during the reception it gets to crazy! I'm sooo happy we picked the Shadowbrook. They take care of everything and make everything perfect. Just go see them! Soooooo amazing! You will fall in love!

I had both the privilege and the honor of attending a wedding here on 2/19/2017 and all I can say is wow. I mean speechless wow. This place is right out of a movie. I've been to my share of great weddings but this place just has so many things going for it. It seems that no detail is overlooked and all the minute details combined with the core of the festivity result in an unbelievable experience. So let's start with the property itself.... it is majestic and you feel like Great Gatsby would walk out of the side entrance any moment. Truly classy place combined with truly classy staff. The staff is detail oriented and are ninja like. They are there when you need something and fade into the background when you do not. The cocktail hour was so impressive in terms of both food and a generous bar that there was some doubt that my carnivorous instincts would last into the meal. Fortunately the food was both expertly prepared and so tastefully plated that I could not help myself. Overall, a really beautiful experience and classy affair. I might have to talk more friends into tying the know just so I can go here :)

Had a beautiful day celebrating my daughter's Baby shower. The staff was wonderful, attentive and helpful. The food was amazing, appetizers delicious and displayed beautifully. My guests were all catered to. The new Shadowbrook is a welcome addition to the Monmouth County area. A great place to celebrate an occasion!

Attended a wedding at Shadowbrook last night. It was one of the most wonderful weddings I have ever attended. The grounds are beautiful, the cocktail hour was the best I have ever attended anywhere, the entrees were cooked to perfection with the most delicious sauces at your chosen temperature. The staff could not have been more accommodating to the hosts and guests. It was perfection! I just hope I am invited to another wedding at this venue again soon!

Little Silver Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 held its annual dinner on Jan 29th. The venue, food, and most importantly service were tremendous. There was champagne waiting for our guests, and no one waiting for drinks, coffee, or anything else. The staff was incredibly attentive to the guests, and everyone from the valet to the bartenders were outstanding. Seriously never had better service at an event; all the staff were so knowledgeable & eager to please. Food was outstanding with tons of options for cocktail hour and dinner was spectacular (had beef and salmon/shrimp). The building and surrounding grounds are breathtaking and building was super clean. Would highly recommend this venue for any event. On September 17th, 2016, my family threw me the most magical bridal shower at The Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury! I felt as if I was in a movie!! The venue itself is absolutely magnificent, but once you take in all the factors and little details, I couldn't help but be amazed. It is so spacious, elegant and the gardens give it a romantic, whimsical feel as if you are in another country. All of the guests were raving about the food. The staff was so polite, accommodating and considerate. They went above and beyond to satisfy everyone. Danny, the General Manager, made sure everything went smoothly. He was all business!!!Matt was my Maitre 'D and was affable, patient and helpful to everyone and myself. Jill was so sweet to our guests and was extra considerate towards a family member who needs special love and care. Thank you to The Shadowbrook for making my bridal shower a living dream! My guests said that it was the best bridal shower they've ever attended!!!

We attended a wedding here last night and this place was great! This place has that old mansion feel with some modern touches. This place has a beautiful interior and layout. The cocktail hour was filled with a large variety of high end hors d'oeuvres. The main hall has plenty of space for the DJ, dancefloor, and photographers to move around and perform there duty. The bartenders were very nice and interactive with the customers as well as the serving staff. I felt very welcomed here and enjoyed a perfect event.

If you are considering getting married at Shadowbrook, I highly recommend you do so. My wife and I were married here in May and everything about it was perfect. From the first time we went to check out the venue and spoke with Mark, we knew this was the place. Mark and his team are as good as it gets and so helpful along the way with planning and recommending great vendors. You can have the confidence that every detail will be covered. On the wedding day they venue and staff were amazing. They were so helpful and attentive the entire day, everything went off with out a hitch. The venue itself is magical. The food and service is unmatched. Literally every single guest told us it was the best wedding they have ever been too and were blown away by the venue and the food that was served during the cocktail hour. Thank you to Mark and the staff for helping make our wedding day perfect!

Words can not even begin to describe the experience that the Shadowbrook provides. My husband and I had our wedding at the Shadowbrook in July. I am the absolute hardest person to please and I am EXTREMELY particular. The Shadowbrook absolutely blew me away in terms of their service, attention to detail, and the quality of their food. I had booked with the original owners in June of 2014. And when I received the news of new ownership I was very nervous. The Shadowbrook is a very classic estate and has a very particular charm to it, I was nervous that under the new owner ship the renovations would cause the venue to lose that charm. I had periodically visited to see the updates and they were fantastic. The new owners helped restore the mansion in a way that made it 100 times better than it was when we first booked. The day of the wedding it was an absolute tortential downpour, the weather was horrible, but once every one was inside the cocktail hour that was quickly forgotten. The food was in such abundance and such high quality my guests were besides themselves. Room after room after room FILLED with every type of food you can imagine. Every type of h'ors dourves you could think of was passed. The ice luge with every type of liquor to chill your shot, the exquisite sushi display and the room filled with an Italian feast are just a FEW of the stations we had at our cocktail hour. The seated dinner was phenomenal, our guests could not believe how amazing every tasted. All of their food is such amazing quality. The most outstanding was the vienese hour. My guests were saying they walked into Willy Wanka's chocolate factory. Chocolate fountains, every type of cookie, cake, pastry and cordial was served. Crepes, waffles, ice cream and gelato carts, cotton candy, pop corn, just to name a few. It was a completely unreal experience. Aside from the absolute over the top phenomenal food, the service is exquisite. The Maitre Brittany was on another level as was the bridal attendant Stephanie. Everytime I turned around she had a fresh drink waiting for me and my husband. She had plates of every type of food offered at cocktail hour set aside for us so that we didn't miss anything, same for the vienese hour. The both of them were absolutely phenomenal and could not have provided better service. Each table in the ballroom had their own server. Our guests didn't need to leave their table, except of course to dance. The servers brought them their drinks, took their orders, brought them shots. What ever our guests wanted, the servers took care of it. I have never been to a wedding where the service was so on point and so accomodating for guests. The Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury knows how to host an event. The new owners worked with us to ensure all of our requests were met and went above and beyond to make sure that we were pleased. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't go anywhere else. This venue and the owners are top notch. I am praying that a friend gets married there so I can go back and experience it all over again. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and had it not been a monsoon outside we would have had our cocktail our and photos outside. This venue is so gorgeous and has so much to offer. It truly wish we could do it all over again!!

Attended an evening event with about 150 people. Both passed and station Hors d' oeuvres during cocktail hour were excellent across the board. All white glove service. Italian, beef, potato pancakes, shrimp, stc. Dinner service was very very good. Salmon, beef and chicken all were well recieved. Service from valet to coat check to wait staff and bartenders was friendly and efficient. Bartenders kept a smile regardless of what they were asked to make. Face lift, which is continuing, is a great look. Thanks for a great banquet experience.

We had our wedding here in July 2018 and the entire event was spectacular! We received many rave reviews on the food (especially the cocktail hour and Viennese dessert addition which we are so happy we did), venue, gardens, and overall decor. It is impressive that they produced such a high volume of a variety of food while keeping the quality high. Numerous guests pointed out that the service was also fantastic. We always had drinks at our table and our personal assistants were very attentive to our needs. The flow of the night was very smooth. And they also allowed us to incorporate our dog into the ceremony and created a beautiful ice sculpture with his photo! The gardens looked very beautiful especially on the sunny day that we got. In summary, everything was fantastic and we didn't have a single complaint. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. I know they are closing soon temporarily for expansion but if you hire them in the future you won't be disappointed--this management team is known for keeping the quality, service, decor, and food top of the line!!

I attended a wedding at the Shadowbrook and was so pleased with the overall experience. However, I do have to point out that Brittany Yannetti (the bridal attendant) could not have been any more attentive. She was right by the bride and the bridal party the entire night! She was ready with whatever we needed, whenever we needed anything. She was excellent and made the wedding such an unbelievable experience.

Just had my daughters wedding on 12/30/16.The one word that I can use to describe this venue is IMPECCABLE.It was a truly outstanding over the top experience.Mark and Danny are wonderful.The employees are true professionals from the waitstaff to the bathroom attendants they never missed a beat.The food was spectacular.Cocktail hour had MORE then enough food and seating for our guests.If you have ever seen the movie the wedding planner that's how AMAZING my daughters bridal attendant Brittney was.She always had my daughter in her sight.My daughter did not want for anything including Brittany making sure my daughter ate.Brittney also took care of me several times from bustling my gown to fixing my hair with a bobby pin she took out of her pocket just before my entrance into the main room.She also packed all of our personal stuff up before we left and even placed it in my car.It does not get any better.Im still receiving phone calls about how wonderful the venue and staff was.Its such a warm and stunning venue.The fact it only hosts one event at a time is huge.Plenty of room from the cocktail hour to the main event.The seafood extravaganza is a MUST SEE.Thank you everyone at the Shadowbrook for making my daughter dream wedding come true.

We had our wedding 9/12/15 at the shadowbrook. Although we weren't lucky with the weather and weren't able to enjoy the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, it didn't matter. It was still so beautiful and fun!! All of my guests were floored with the food at cocktail hour as well as their entrees. I was so happy to hear that everyone was so pleased with the food!! (From the two or three bites I did eat it was delicious!!) I was being pulled left and right, naturally bring the bride! Everyone, myself and my husband included, were floored at the IMPECABLE service from the waitstaff. I have never seen such attentiveness to every single one our our guest consistently throughout the evening. I received HUNDREDS of compliments from our guests saying that was the best wedding they have ever been to and that they have never felt like such a priority as the guest at a wedding. Our maitre'd Jerry was awesome! He was a sweetheart and made sure everyone of my guests were well taken care of especially me and my husband. The evening was seamless. It was more than I could have every imagined. Now for my bridal attendant Brittany. I don't know if I can put into words how SPECTACULAR she was but I will try. She didn't let me want for anything. She was polite, extremely professional and I could not have had the wedding of my dreams without her. She knew her stuff to say the least! She immediately picked up on my personality and vision for my wedding and made it a reality. She made my experience as a shadowbrook bride one I will never forget. Again, several guests especially my mother, maid of honor and bridesmaids were all receiving the same attentiveness as I was. I couldn't thank her and Jerry enough and all the wonderful staff at shadowbrook for the most memorable day/night of my entire life!! Bravo, Shadowbrook!! I would do it all over again if I could, it was perfect as perfect could be. And again, Brittany you are my hero, girlfriend!

The estate is absolutely stunning with well-manicured gardens and distinct rooms each with charm and character. There is history and art at every corner with nothing mundane when exploring the property. Communications between Amy, Event Coordinator was prompt, friendly, polite and she always had an immediate answer to any inquiry. She and Mr. Zweben were very accommodating to any special requests. Everyone employed at Shadowbrook was always cordial and friendly. There are a few criticisms, the day of and as follows: Barely any decorations or event items were set-up as stated in the vendor requested written outline. The salmon entree served was dry and had that distinct ripe/fishy odor. Service was rushed and completed over an hour before it was supposed to be. These were extremely disappointing and off-putting compared to the actual planning process. COMMENT NOTE: The comment below to my honest review is uncalled for and disrespectful! All the catered event (seated dinner) details that were chosen and received were understood and agreed upon by all parties involved. This was not a wedding reception nor was one wanted, expected or requested. This was explained in the first email and reiterated in meetings. There were three issues that could pertain to any event to be held at this venue that were experienced. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted that intimate details of the contract and night, no matter how small are being published by Shadowbrook! Additionally to make claims and assumptions on my behalf such as "It appears that you spent more effort on your favors... than you did on your guests' food, liquor, and experience" is in poor business mannerisms and disrespectful. Shadowbrook was hired to execute all elements of the experience. If I knew I was going to be chastised for only having a catered event, not having a typical wedding reception, and writing an honest review as such... my business would have been taken elsewhere. Shadowbrook responded with the following comments: It is wonderful that you appreciated the elegance, charm and unique character of the Shadowbrook estate and grounds as well as our accommodating and friendly staff. However, we are quite shocked by comments regarding the execution of your party. First of all, this was not booked as one of our wedding packages, but rather as a seated dinner - our early email correspondances with you state that this should be an "intimate catered dinner, similar to a shower". There was no music/entertainment, no Champagne toast, no cake, no hard liquor, and no introductions or speeches. You say dinner was rushed, but it would have been tedious to stretch a four course dinner over three hours with no music or formalities. As a courtesy, we provided our elegant silk flowers on silver pedestals and our damask linens that are usually offered in our wedding packages. I am especially disappointed in your value rating, as you essentially tried to take a sit down dinner and turn it into a wedding without any basic wedding accoutrements. It appears that you spent more effort on your favors (favor boxes, menus, photo cards, magnets, tea lights, snow globes, candies, polyester snowflakes, wine signs, tossers and charms) than you did on your guests' food, liquor, and experience. I am also surprised you never mentioned any of these issues with the Maitre d' or to myself, as all of the above comments could have been easily resolved during your event. As a matter of a fact, you thanked the Maitre d' profusely after your party; he even personally checked with all of your 40 guests, and they were all very pleased. Thank you very much for choosing Shadowbrook for your special day. We appreciate your comments and wish you nothing but the best for the future!

Weddings are special events that represent 2 families becoming one. At The Shadowbrook they not only understand this but the staff all the way to the owner himself becomes part of your family. This venue and everyone who works here is amazing. Wedding planning can be super stressful; not when you book here. Everything is covered and then some. The staff has such an attention to detail nothing gets missed. Amy is amazing she was with me every step of the way and just her voice would calm me down. Daniel made setting up for the day of the wedding a breeze and had everything perfect and then some. Jenna is probably the most amazing person ever. You won't understand until you meet her but once you do I didn't want her to leave me. She is literally with you every step of the day on the big day and words can not describe her. Matt was great because everything went according to plan and on time!!!!! I had so many little hiccups as I call them now when dealing with my different vendors and Mark fixed everything and helped me through anything and everything and I cannot thank him and his team enough! The venue it self is beautiful and magical and with this staff you cannot go wrong or ask for anything else! The food was so amazing that I am still hearing about it from family and friends. This venue has everything! You owe it to yourself to go see The Shadowbrook!!!! Thank you everyone who helped me and my husband with this perfect experience.
