Had to check out this new Hawaiian/Korean place as that combination is right up my alley. They ran out of rice so temporarily closed ordering, but we said we didn’t mind waiting since we came especially for this place. The owners came out and said it’ll be 10-15 minutes and brought us two complimentary bottles of water which was a pleasant surprise on a warm day. Then they came back out a bit later saying the rice is done but it’ll be another 5-10 minutes still, and brought us two of their li hing popsicles (which were AMAZING) and one of their kraken puff snacks (haven’t tried it yet!). How generous of them!!
When we did get the food, it was all really great. They have some especially creative options, we got the seared salmon musubi (what?! in my life of eating musubi, this was a first for me), as well as a cali crab musubi (which was surprisingly refreshing, again a first for musubis). We also got one of their original musubis. All of them were really good!
It is in a ghost kitchen sort of place so there’s no seating unfortunately, but I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other things on the menu! 🤙
