I recently visited Shake Shack at Assembly Row, and it was my first time trying it. As a Canadian, I was excited to finally get my hands on their famous burgers! My wife chose the veggie option (mushroom and cheese) and it was absolutely incredible. I went for the smash burger, which was cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful. The fries were also delicious crispy, and seasoned just right. The atmosphere was really nice for a food chain and the staff were friendly, making the experience solid. I can’t wait to return on my next trip! Highly recommend checking it out!

Food was just not tasty, not spoiled or cold, just tasted bad, cheese fries are covered with nasty gloppy cheese, burgers undercooked even though I specified well done, hot dog was the best thing. Shakes were so gross, fake flavoring, on both Strawberry and Chocolate. But chocolate was not at all palatable. Draft root beer wasn't to my liking, but ok. Overall a huge waste of over $50 for taking my seven year old and his buddy to lunch. Not a clean dining room and all the tables were gross too.

I was disappointed with my recent visit to Shake Shack. While I appreciate the self-service model, it was difficult to navigate without assistance, especially when customizing my order. My burger was not as ordered, and I had to spend time fixing it myself. It's a shame, as I usually enjoy the food here. I hope the staff can be more attentive in the future... Because I'm so disappointed, I think I will post my first draft of my review: I guess Shake Shack is now a "build-your-own-burger" joint. No one was around to help, so I ended up with a Frankenburger. Thanks for the DIY meal kit, I suppose. Next time, I'll just order a plain bun.

I ordered a shroom shack and found bacon in my food - the manager refunded me but still incredibly disappointing as an experience! I grew up religious and do not eat any sort of red meat or pork and it made me throw up the rest of the meal. Before I left, I ordered their banana shake and the man giving me the order was clearly too high to be there he gave me the s’mores shake. Thankfully, I noticed and exchanged it before wasting it - the service in general at this location is incredibly poor though. The workers don’t care and don’t have the basic sense to do their job correctly. Also the fried pickles came with literally 6 chips! What a joke! I love shake shack food wise but the experience here was so poor - I’d recommend going to any other restaurant in the area and saving your shake shack cravings for next time!

Very nice decor and atmosphere, staff are super friendly, and burgers are tasty. Tried the new bourbon bacon burger and it was pretty good. The patties were juicy and the flavours were what I expected. Fries aren’t impressive, but not bad. I wish they had hand cut fries like other franchises, but it’s alright. The staff were sort polite and very helpful. I enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back.

Shake shack in Assembly is one of the latest in town . My partner and I were excited for this new location because it was close to us and it was the first in this part. Overall my experience was good . The burger was good and the vegetables were fresh . The only downside to this was the speed at which we got our food . Maybe this was due to the crowd that were there . I prefer the cheese fries, its something unique. It can only get better in terms of the service . I will be visiting again to update my review. There is parking on the side of restaurant for visitors who are not familiar with the location.

I got a smokeshack burger and fries and drinks. With a promo code for the chicken burger too. Food was great and the deal was irresistible. It’s nice to have shake shack in assembly so you can eat before and after shopping or movie at amc. The bathrooms in shake shack were nice and clean. Staff were good and helpful. The food was like every ss consistent Ordered at kiosks and picked up number they bring it to your table for dine in.

**Dubai Chocolate Shake Review** At first glance... "Oh dear god what have I done?" Quickly turned into "Oh my goodness it's so beautiful!!" Then to "Holy hell it's delicious." The shake features real pistachio frozen custard blend with toasted kataifi shredded phyllo, coated in a crackable dark chocolate shell, topped with chopped pistachios & crunchy kataifi. One sip in, I looked at the Shake Shack employee and with a face of disbelief I simply asked... "How??!!" After a few sips, the hell with the straw and just dug in either a spoon to fetch out the little chunks of the magic shell chocolate with my pistachio custard & kataifi. Damn it I deserved this... it's what I will tell myself every time I visit Shake Shack solely just to indulge in one of these glorious shakes. If I were to critique, I would say add in a bit of actual melted chocolate other than the chocolate shell as well as more of a pistachio dense custard to get that famous green pistachio color And personally I love a good crunch so I'd go for more toasted kataifi.

I remember when Shake Shack used to deliver a really good burger 10-15 years ago when it was mostly limited to NYC. Nowadays it's a pale imitation of its former self. The truffle burger I had a few days ago was $10.50 and was barely a step up from a Wendy's burger. The patty was so small, not even covering the diameter of the bun, and pretty flavorless to boot. The toppings (a few fried onion straws and a small amount of truffle mayo) were not worth the upcharge. The truffle fries were a little better but not as crispy as I was expecting. The truffle mayo also barely tasted of truffle, but that's not exactly surprising for a fast food truffle option. I'd skip this place next time and go for a more local burger joint outside of Assembly.

The food is so mediocre and expensive. The truffle burger was so greasy and flavorless. The $7 grilled cheese isn't even two slices of bread. It's one slice folded in half. The fries are mid. Under seasoned and dry. They are fast and friendly though.

First time getting food from Shake Shack, as the prices seemed a bit high for what'cha get. And having their food, I'd say my concerns were founded. Burger was smaller than I expected/hoped, definitely wasn't worth $10 (I'd put it on par with Five Guys, who I'm also not a fan of). $8 for a small chocolate shake, also a disappointment. This is barely a step up from McD's, for twice the price.

The place was fine but that's all. I got this uber eats once and spent a lot of money and the food was cold and bland and my driver was waititng over 20 minutes there. I went in person today and it was much better but the Pattie size is very small and it's very overpriced. The food was ready very quick though.

The service here is great. Very accommodating on my request for a Korean burger with the mushroom burger in one. They made it a shack stack with the Korean burger fixings. Very tasty. I enjoyed it very much.

Haven't ever really been to a Shack Shack before that I can remember, but went here with nephews and family after going to LEGOLAND. We ate in and it was fast and efficient. I had the new Korean BBQ Burger and I'd get again. No complaints here. We liked fries too.

Slow service but also one of the better shake shacks for quality of the burger! The seating is nice and has outdoor options in the summer. It's mostly clean but very loud. The smokeshack is by far my favorite though their rotating specials also are usually very good.

Hot dog tastes like rubber and it's a shake that was too thick and blended horribly. Some of the bun was soggy too

The burgers are rushed cooked the edges of the burger is charred and the excuse were if we don't press them they will not be done in the middle. FyI stop doing that because the burgers are not juicy or pleasing to the eyes and all it takes is one charred piece go down the wrong way and your coughing , Is that why you offer free cups of water?

I am shocked at the hate in these reviews for Shake Shack. I stand firm that I love Shake Shack for fast food burgers. I love their burgers, simple and delicious. I live close by to this location so ordered pick up recently. I don't usually review huge chains like this but the pick up order today was particularly good. Everything tasted super fresh, it was fast. What really stood out for me was the fries today. I will admit I don't usually love fries at shake shack but these were really good! Crispy and still soft inside. I'm local around Somerville so I obviously love this location, right in the middle of a mall. Frankly, Assembly needed something like shake shack to come in for its convenience for a quick meal!

Brand new shake shack. Super clean. They have it set up where there is no cashier. You make you own orders through a tablet. You can see all options and full customizations. Which to be honest I prefer. I want to see all options I can make, without bothering a cashier/associate. Burgers were crispy and meaty. vegetables were fresh, buns were soft. What else can I ask for? Fries were a bit expensive but they were hot and crispy. Lightly salted, delish. I will visit more often shake shack!

This hair-more-upscale-than-default fast-food place is fun. Chicken is very and certainly comes out hot. Kid was pleased. Cheese sauce is iconic nacho cheese, if you know what I'm talking about you'll immediately know if you think that's good or not. Crinkly fries are fine, they wouldn't make my favorites list but there's nothing bad about them and they do seem very consistent. The house burger is a smashburger with all the usual fixings that looks _adorable_, the bottom bun ends up a hair greasy but just a little, and it seems like the sort of burger you could gulp down in a single bit if you really put your mind to it, in a good way. Service is the "ordering online even when you're not ordering online" experience. Can't speak to the ice cream.

Whenever I crave some slightly healthier fast food (vs. McDonalds), I come to this Shake Shack. The food is fairly consistent and ready for pickup within the time allotted in the app. I usually get the Shroom Burger, Shack Burger, or the Hot Chicken (while it's still available) and a portion of fries. The fries are solid - sometimes you wish you ordered more. The shakes are also fairly good as well. Definitely worth a visit in the area. IG: Feastcoastoffense

Just your typical shake shack, same as the others. I tried the hot honey chicken sandwich for the first time, and I didn't really like it. The sweet mixed with the not really spicy chicken was a bit weird. But I love their regular burgers and regular chicken sandwiches, so I'll give shake shack 4 stars. Service was good, and you can order on tablets yourself at this location.

Is zero stars an option? Visited on 12/9. During low traffic period. Circus without a ring master. Ordered for two. Food was cold, milk shakes had sat and were room temp. I could go on but will spare you the misery. Shake Shack is usually a safe bet in a pinch but this location is experiencing challenges.

Not sure of all of the hate for Shake Shack! I've been to the location on Newbury St, and I would have to say that the food quality and the ambiance of the eat-in experience is more or less the same. I liked that you could self-order and the food comes out quickly. The fries were fresh and the burgers were a bit on the smaller side for the prices, but they were still tasty. Just knocking a star down for the price.

Today I bought a spicy bacon chicken sandwich, 3 shake shake cheese burgers with bacon $ LTP and 4 fries! I got home and I had 1 fry no bacon on any of my sandwiches and my chicken sandwich was not spicy at all! If I lived closer and didn't have to drag my children with me I would go back and get all my money back! Very disappointed!!!!

For a fast food, they have very slow service. It's an open kitchen set up and there are a lot of people in the kitchen doing a whole lot of screen watching. One guy barely has his mask on, moving about where the cooked food is placed to be severed. We ordered at 1722H and order came at 1748. I ordered a bottled water but they ran out. If you have a hankering for a burger, DON'T EAT HERE.

Went in today to get a chicken sandwich. Took 20 minutes and my sandwich was cold. Still way too expensive for the food you receive. Why do I keep doing this to myself.

Do not order delivery from here! I've had problems before, but this time the driver straight-up stole/did not deliver half my order, and I have no way to get a refund or any other fix -- The "support" options go to the deliver driver service (Uber Eats in this case); they refused to help in any way; and neither the store nor the corporate number even bothered to answer their phones. I just paid a bunch of money to get ripped off completely. Not even remotely worth the mediocre food.

Great food and kind service with a nice ambiance. The burger was AWSOME. Very good. Organic food with gluten free buns.

The place is filthy, with litter everywhere. Burgers are great, but can't stand how dirty the interior of the restaurant is.

Do not order delivery from this place. I've had nothing but problems with delivery. Today I placed an order and got confirmation that it would be delivered in 39 minutes which is more time that it would take me to get there and back by public transportation. When I checked it turned out that the delivery man was using a bicycle and that he had another delivery to make. Almost 50 minutes later I saw him walking around looking for the house. Needless to say the fries were the same temperature as the shake. The burger was also cold as well as the turkey shack burger also ordered. The almost 40 dollar meal ruined.

This evening i and a couple of friend went to shake shake for the first time at assembly row Somerville. We heard it was good but never found out as we walked in a staff member barkes we closed for construction. This was at 8:pm on a friday night with people inside eating and out side. They were open all day we travel for over 40min to get there mind you only to have a jerk bark at us like we new there closed didn't say any thing on there web site that said open till 10pm. No sign saying closing at 8pm. If a chain is that pretenses then they can keep it. My friend and i will never go back if you dont have the common decency to post you are closing and have rude employees this a restaurant that should not be patronized.

What is going on with this place? It is an absolute mess. The whole deal seems unorganized and unwelcoming. You are greeted by self service booths with ONE person at the register who doesn't make any effort to help you or call you over if they are free. The prices are completely insane for what they are serving. 5 dollars for a dinky order of moist, soft fries? No thanks. 5 bucks for a water down lemonade? No way! On top of that, you deign to ask for a tip even though there is absolutely no service. No one at the register, no one brings food to you. You get beckoned in a single instance for your food. If you aren't listening or watching, too bad. There is no organization for teh queue, people just go wherever and it becomes a free for all. The food portions are tiny and cold by the time it reaches you. The tables are DISGUSTING and no one is actually cleaning them. This place has ruined Shake Shack for me. I miss the days when I used to frequent the original one in NYC. When the burgers were large and the prices were cheap and the service was kind.

Shake shack food is pretty great consistently so I'd love to give 5 stars but I've ordered 3 times and twice there has been something missing - today it was my fries which is what I really wanted so I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. For me fries are the most important part of a fast food meal and certainly why I chose shake shack today so I won't be ordering from this location again. I ordered 4 items - 25% of my order was missing and you didn't notice. It was an Uber eats order and the receipt stapled to the bag was completely correct so it was definitely the restaurant that screwed up. Annoyed and hungry.

First time ordering got the double shack burger and fries. All I could taste was salt in the burger and nothing else. Fries were ok.

I always love shake shack and when I got hungry and saw that there was one nearby I was very happy. Finding parking though was atrocious and I had to drive for like 15 minutes just to find a place to park my car. It took about 5 minutes for the food which mostly made up for the fact that I had to drive around in circles. The way you ordered your food was great! There was a kiosk with all their food and it was super easy to navigate. If I could give any advice to the managers, a parking lot would be very helpful.

Today was the first day I'd ordered from this location, so as we all know whenever you order for the 1st time it's a little bit like Russian Roulette. I'm so glad to say I couldn't be happier with this place, it may've been my first time here but it will certainly not be my last. Followed directions on the order and food was perfect

App doesn't work. Garbage location, with useless technology. Waste of time, food order incorrect as well. Completely trash

The Assembly Row Shake Shack is my new favorite place to eat. I work next door, so this Shake Shack is so convenient for me on my breaks and before or after shifts. The food is always fast, delicious, and satisfying. Brayan the manager takes such good care of me and everyone else that walks in. On the off chance there's something missing in an order or an item made incorrectly, he is wonderful at working with customers for fix the situation and help them leave happy. I've never felt so cared for by the entire staff of a restaurant before and I know it's because of the care Brayan takes. He leads by example. I am always greeted with genuine smiles and feel taken care of by everyone there.

Every time I visit this place, there's always something wrong. If it's not the lackadaisical service, I'm dissatisfied with the food or the order is wrong. Today it was all of the above, plus the app wasn't allowing me to order food prior to arrival. I only visited today because the Shake Shack app pushed a 2-1 deal on burgers. As soon as I arrived, I asked the Assembly Row counter girl if she could honor the deal since the app wasn't allowing me to order in the app for their location, which was really strange. She responded that they are independently owned and were not honoring the coupon. So Shake Shack allows stores to forgo participating and then punishes all of their customers, so that No One can order food from the app? Dudes, not cool. Then I got my food, asked for all condiments with extra pickles, and the burger came out with NO condiments, and no pickles. Dudes, what's wrong with this store? It would be nice for a manager or owner to comment on this thread, but its probably highly unlikely.

These guys were great! My order was very slightly wrong (milkshake was malted and missing whipped cream) and the young lady and gentleman working the pick up window were most lovely apologetic kind customer service workers I've met. I wish I had gotten their names but they were awesome. I wasn't even upset about the mistake but they were so lovely about fixing it even while clearly slammed.

I have been wanting to try Shake Shack for quite a while. I'm from the West Coast so really looking for something that compares to In-N-Out Burger. The only other place close by is 5 guys. Unfortunately while the burger was ok for the price it wasn't what I was hoping for. The paddy was flattened and thin and a bit salty for my taste. I just expected a bit more for a $5 burger.

I would just like to say the Mike the manager handled my situation extremely well today. I had been in two weeks ago and my burgers were burnt and could not be eaten and I could not come back to get new ones. He told me to come in anytime and I would be taken care of. I came in tonight to get those 3 burgers and order some other food for dinner. It was crazy and hectic in there and he still honored the request and even gave us free milkshakes. I watched, as a waited for my food, him deal with customers that were being impatient and rude with a calm and accommodating tone even though you could see he was under tremendous stress, the place was packed. The order was correct and all the food was delicious.

This place is so overrated. Heard people saying the best burger was at Shake Shack. These people obviously have no clue what good food is. First, the $5 shake comes in what appears to be a kiddie cup. The burger also looks like a kid burger. It was fresh tasting but had zero flavor and more the size of a slider. The fries were good but not enough to ever make me want to come back. $16 undersized, zero flavor burger, kid shake and average crinkle fries. No thanks. Save yourself the money and eat somewhere else.
