Updated review: Tried an evening visit and sadly experienced a different restaurant experience. 10 staff members standing around with no food coming out, waited 25 minutes for order, fries were slightly overcooked and they were out of pump machine ketchup. Old review: Outstanding new addition to our Bellevue burger choices! Every aspect of my experience was Outstanding. The burgers are cooked fresh with a noticeable higher quality meat product! My favorite crinkle fries are served here and come with free Heinz ketchup, yes free, becoming more hard to find now days. A must try next to Bellevue Square Mall. Bravo!

Went to Shake Shack today for lunch. It was my first (and last) time eating here. Ordered using the app on my phone. Once ordered, estimated time.was reasonable. Got an update on the app that my order was ready for pickup at the window. Went to the window, rang the buzzer, no one came. Another customer arrives, rang the buzzer again, still no one came. We went into the restaurant and clerk said my order wasn't ready. This was 5 minutes after app notified me it was ready. Finally got my food 10 minutes later. The $8 burger was small. Fries were ok, but didn't get much for the $4.50 charge. The milkshake was good. Service was almost non-existent. Garbage area was over flowing. Workers claimed they were busy, which was the case for the workers making the food, but counter staff spend more time chatting with one another than working.

Food absolutely tickled my fancy ...🤤🫣😋 wouldn't expect less from shake shack🥹🥺❤️ for my fellow vegans ... i ordered the shroom burger (gluten free bun) and it was incredibly tasty 😜😏🍔.... and I never forget my honest kids juice box 🙂‍↔️🤩🥰😂 ! Completely demolished this exquisite meal... 🍽️ will be coming back 😉🍴🧃

One of my all time favourites when it comes to burgers and sandwiches. The chicken sandwich is probably one of the best. A perfect blend of succulence and flavour. Their cheeseburger is amazing as well. My wife tried the veg shack and it was not great at all. But they were gracious enough to take it back and served us fried and chicken bites, which were again amazing. Their non-shake drinks are decent and could be avoided. Definitely in my top 3 fast food chains. Also one of the few fast food chains where the food is served at your table. The ambience gives a premium feel as well.

Highly recommend this shake shack. The Cashier & runner, Henry was kind, efficient and great attitude. The team in the back seem to have chemistry working well together and getting the orders out quick. Even tho the kiosk are convenient, I always appreciate great customer service. Also the food was so good! Truffle fries is next level especially the sauce!!!

First off survice was great. The people here are amazing. The food was really good, but I honestly still prefer in and out. For as expensive as they are you get small portions and the wait time for food is long. This is a busy location too, so finding a seat is hard sometimes. I also did not like their shake sauce which just tasted like mayo with a little ketchup. It does have a nice modern vibe tho. I was still hungry when I left cause the burgers were so small. Comparing price vs size of burgers I don't really feel it's a good value. Very middle of the road for me.

Shake Shack generally serves up high quality burgers & fries, and this was no exception. It seems there was a limited time promotion going on with the Black Truffle burger & fries, so I decided to try that out The burger was pretty fantastic. Shake Shack burgers traditionally don't have super thick patties - so a burger with a single patty isn't going to have too much meat in it. Where this makes up, though, is in how good the patty was. It was quite crispy, and more importantly, cooked really well (since this is fast food, it does have to be well done), and pretty flavorful. The gruyere cheese was another standout here - really adding to the flavor. I like the effort rather than just using any normal cheese As with any shake shack, the buns are small but really soft and nice The black truffle sauce is the same sauce used on both the burger & fries. It's pretty good, there's definitely a distinctive truffle taste coming from it. I wouldn't say it's super authentic truffle, as it has a bit of an artificial taste to it, but not a terrible imitation. The fries from here are normally quite good, but I thought they were not as crispy as they usually are this time. Also not a huge fan of the parmesan cheese on the fries. For the price of around $19, this was quite expensive for a burger & fries (about 1500 cal) Overall, a pretty high quality burger, and generally good fries, but the price does bring it down a bit. 8/10

Ordering was terrible with a few out of order self-service ordering terminals (the only way to order, or by smartphone app), long lines, and slow interface. I ordered a veggie burger, without cheese or sauce, and it came out wrong the first try. Staff took food back and remade a new burger, put fries on warmer. About ten minutes later I received lukewarm burger and soggy, bitter, cold fries. Fries were overcooked and left to sit too long after frying. Small portions. Bathroom was out of paper towels. Tables were dirty. And staff wasn’t friendly. The only redeeming thing about the visit was that the water tasted good.

Wow! Didn't know Shake shack opened up in Bellevue right by bell square mall Haven't eaten a mroom burger in years. Probably before covid pandemic at their downtown Seattle location. Pleasantly surprised, the burgers are still delicious although a bit smaller than I remember. Plenty of seating inside and you order at the kiosk and they deliver your food to your table. Establishment was well lite and maintained nicely. Will definitely be returning when in the area. Plenty of parking in the parking garage

I've been to the Bellevue Shake Shack a few times and mostly ordered pickup. Unfortunately, my experience with the pickup service never improves. I place my order on the app and receive a message after paying that I'll get a text notifying me when my order is ready to be picked up. Each time, I never receive that text. Even when I go during the time window for picking up my food, it is never ready within that timeframe. Today, I waited at least 20 minutes before going to pick up my order. Luckily, it was there, but I still did not receive the text notifying me when it was ready." Once I received my order, I could tell the food was sitting around for a while. When I got back to my office, I was shocked to see how the cheese fries were placed in an open faced fries tray and not an enclosed box. The napkin was placed on top of the cheese fries tray and to my surprise as I was about to put the ketchup on the fries, I saw a short strand of a lash or something. The strand was 2cm long or so. Not only was there a strand, but there was also some sort of lint on the hardened cheese. I was so excited for Shake Shack to be in Bellevue, but their pickup service is making it hard to like coming to this location. The dine in service is a bit better since the employees bring out the order to you where you're sitting. Let's hope the pickup service gets better in the near future.

We left Earl's to grab Shake Shack instead because we were craving burgers, fries, and nuggets--only to have the entire experience ruined by a series of disappointments. First, they were out of ketchup. Let me say this: ketchup is essential when you're serving burgers and fries. How does a burger joint run out of ketchup and think that's acceptable? Even worse, there were six employees standing behind the counter, and not one of them thought to take five minutes to run to QFC (which is just a couple of minutes away) to grab ketchup. It's embarrassing and shows a complete lack of care for the customer experience. On top of that, there was no water available. We had to ask multiple times just to get water for our group, which shouldn't even be an issue. These kinds of basic service failures make it clear that management isn't on top of things. We left Earl's for what we thought would be a better experience, but instead, it was an embarrassing disaster. Shake Shack, you've got to do better.

I will give this location the benefit of the doubt and rate it 3 stars due to the extra crowds of the holiday week (Wednesday before Thanksgiving). Food: High quality ingredients and all food and drinks were made to order. Their menu is a little limited but did have a few kid friendly items. I think their Black Truffle Burger was delicious and a highlight on the menu. The chicken bites were tasty, but a little too salty and tad dry since it used breast meat. The vanilla milkshake was smooth and refreshing, as was the sunset lemonade. Service: For a busy night, the crew did their best to keep up with orders. Our food was promised to be completed in a certain time window and we were supposed to be notified via text message when it was ready. I never received a text message and our meal came out close to 20 minutes after the delivery window. Others in my party also experienced long waits for their orders, so it must be because of the high crowds. Ambiance: The location is very centrally located in Bellevue Square and parking is free in the garage attached to the restaurant. The restaurant could not keep up with the high crowds because the cleanliness took a back seat during the dinner rush (ex. empty napkin dispensers, overfilled trash bins, messy ketchup bar, wet floor from the overfilled trash bins, random fries in the ketchup basket next to the food pick up area). Again, it's probably not like this all of the time, but a little unappetizing. We will give this location another try next time we are in the area. Shake Shacks are typically great burger joints, but tonight's experience was an outlier with average rating.

I'm a Shake Shack fan, so was happy to learn that Shake Shack has made a home in Bellevue. This doesn't help my waist line by any means, but Shake Shack always comes in hot with that smashed burger and melted cheese, and this location is no different. Shake Shack in Bellevue took over the corner spot where Boom Noodle used to be, right next to Castilla and near Cheesecake Factory. There's a small outdoor seating area, which is nice for the dogs and inside, there's enough seating for patrons dining in. You can order and pay on the touchscreen, grab a number and an employee finds your table to deliver your food. In my most recent visit, I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake and had no regrets until I had to waddle back home. The burger was delicious, as it was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor and that melted American cheese between the two patties. I always add pickles at no cost, and the pickles were crunchy and thick, adding a nice bite and texture. Fries were crispy, hot and salty AKA good. And the chocolate shake was thick, creamy and sinfully good. You can't go wrong with Shake Shack.

It's like a burger haven up in here. Let's talk grub, tho. That ShackBurger? Straight up fire. Juicy AF with toppings so fresh, they slap. And that secret sauce? Bruh, it's the GEMS. Those crinkle-cut fries? Crispy perfection, no cap. Dip 'em in that cheese sauce, and it's game over. The Shroom Burger? It's so cheesy and lit, even a meat-lover finna vibe with it. The milkshakes? Sheesh, they thick and creamy, like a hug for your soul. Chocolate classic, but them seasonal flavors? Straight-up heat. Staff be hella friendly, but when it's poppin', you might gotta hold tight for your noms. Prices kinda boujee for fast food, but you know the vibes--premium eats for a premium treat. Shake Shack at Bellevue Square is the plug for that next-level burger fix. It's like fast food got a glow-up and said, "What's good?" Pull up, eat good, and vibe out.

My family was so excited about a Shake Shack opening in Bellevue so that we don't have to go to Seattle for it. We were unfortunately disappointed with our experience with this Shake Shack. We're used to Shake Shack being a dirty restaurant but this one was disgusting. Half the restaurant was empty yet every single free table was dirty and not just a few crumbs dirty, like water everywhere, food spilled on the floor, smeared condiments on the table dirty. We had to get a sanitising wipe and wipe down our table. There were dirty tissues everywhere, chunks of food on the floor, and even ketchup dried on the wall. I was excited to order a Chicken Shack for the first time and customised it to add cheese and take out the pickles. I was sad that they forgot my cheese and when I asked for it, they handed me a slice of cheese in a bag. The best part of cheese on a burger is how it gets all nice and melty and this was just cold cheese in a bag, super disappointed. I loved the fries and the rest of my family enjoyed our food once we got past how gross the restaurant was. That is until small flies started attacking us halfway through our meal. Maybe if they were better at keeping the place clean, there wouldn't be a bug problem.

ShackBurger: Yummy, but more oily than an average burger. There are 4 kiosks to order from. They are situated very close to the doors, and it is hard to form a proper queue in front of them. The kiosks themselves were easy to order from. There is both outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor area is very spacious with lots of tables. This is a great spot for anyone craving a (near) midnight snack!

I'm two for two with Shake Shack so far. I always start with the top item on the menu which in this case was the ShackBurger. Really, really good. Next I tried the Avocado Bacon Burger. Also, very good. Even though I'm partial to Five Guys fries, the crinkle cut are very good here. Both times the food was ready pretty quickly. People mention that it's expensive, but I don't find it to be out of line with other burger places. Fatburger is more expensive, and not nearly as good. Have to try the Black Truffle Burger next

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend this Shake Shack during their soft opening on Monday, June 17. When stores have a soft opening, there are lots of kinks and issues and you generally have to wait a long time. That was not the case with this place at all. I've been to Shake Shack before so I know how their ordering system works. I was greeted by a member of the management staff when I came in and was told to utilize the kiosk and iPad to place my order. The staff are close by and can also help you order if needed. The store itself is cool. They have tables that were sustainably sourced with local wood which I thought was a cool touch! I selected a few different items then ordered. I received a text stating that the team and received my order. As I said - being a soft opening I figured it would be awhile but my order came out in just 12 minutes! Great work by the staff. The food as always was excellent and I will definitely be back.

Burgers were delicious, cheese fries were tasty. Overall love their fries! But the Parmesan truffle fries didn't taste much different from the regular ones and the drinks are WAY overpriced.

New clean and sparkling location. Unfortunately I was pretty dumb with my order - I had no idea my chicken sandwich is coming without a bun lol ! I guess I ordered without reading properly. But it was not bad - probably saved myself some extra calories.

It's only been about a month since my first review, but I've dropped by Shake Shack multiple times since then, and the issue remains the same no matter the time of day. The service is painfully slow. The servers move with no passion and I just don't understand how the cooks are always so busy but nothing comes out in any sort of timely manner. One note to reviewers - people seem to either not know or forget, but you can order at the front! Just the other day, there was a long line at the kiosk so I walked up to the front and ordered with a worker. And I got my food much sooner than the people who even ordered before me at the kiosk station.

I finally had the chance to visit the newest Shake Shack in Washington, located at Bellevue Square. It's in a great spot, conveniently near the parking garage and just a short walk from Bellevue Park. This time, I decided to order through the app for takeout. The instructions were straightforward--I was supposed to wait for a text message letting me know my order was ready before heading to the pickup window. However, after waiting for what felt like ages, I never received any notification. I went up to the pickup window, only to find that no one was there to assist me. The nearest employee was busy cleaning and didn't even glance in my direction. After standing there awkwardly for a few minutes trying to get someone's attention, I gave up and decided to head inside. It was clear they were quite busy, and it took a couple more minutes before I could flag someone down. When I finally got my order, it looked like it had been sitting on the shelf for some time--still no text received. Who knows how long it had been there. By the time I got home, which is only a five-minute drive, the food was cold, and to top it off, the fries were missing the BBQ sauce. The burger itself was tasty, as always, but it would have been so much better if it were hot and fresh. I've never had this issue at the Kirkland location, and I might just consider making the drive there instead of returning to this one.

Ordering via kiosk was a breeze. Service was quick, we got our food soon after we ordered. The burgers are delicious but quite small and thus, a bit on the expensive side. The ambiance is casual, there's a good number of seats inside.

The Bellevue Square location of Shake Shack is super convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful and what we ordered was great! We thought we would have a longer wait for our order because the restaurant was packed but our order came out quickly!

Cold food served slowly with a bad attitude. 30 minutes and it wasn't busy. Tons of staff that were excellent at not being helpful.

Was excited to have a Shake Shack near the office. Always a fan of the place. However, maybe it is still growing pains, but the turnaround at this place is much slower than I had hoped it would be, to the point where it is not a viable option for a quick lunch. We are talking 30-40 minutes wait after you order for your food. Tried it three times just because I thought the first time was a fluke. Second and third times were just as long of a wait, whether I ordered at the kiosk or in person. I expected it to be popular, but each time I went, it wasn't fully loaded by any means. So, I am just baffled by how long it took. Even when ordering from the app, ordered 30 minutes in advance of when I arrived. I still had to wait over a half hour for a simple burger and fries. Hopefully this course gets corrected. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and the shake shack burgers are of course good. The wait knocks it down 2 stars.... if not more if you are really trying to fit within your lunch break times.

The burgers are children size. I spent $38 for 2 small burgers, fries and a drink. I thought there was a mistake, however, their burgers are children size. The wait was excessive (20 minutes). The burger and fries had good flavor but not worth the $38 price.

We visited on a Sunday around 1pm and it wasn't too busy. Ordered from the KIOSK and food was brought out withing about 5mins. Food was good and hot; the service was friendly!

Tried chicken burger, it's good but portion is small. Ensure taking sides like fries or shakes to make it a meal. Sitting inside is limited and service is also on slow side. We were there on Friday 07/26 around 9:00 pm and they ran out of shakes so we couldn't taste one.

Good burgers, they are pricey but worth the extra $. I used to have Shake Shake in NYC when I visited family. So happy they're here in Washington. Michele K

First time in a shake shack so o had some questions. The have an automated order so girl closet to me seemed surprised when I came to the counter. She answered my questions went back and order. Food was delivered with almost a sneer. They forgot the sauce so I had to go back to the counter. Original girl was gone. When I said "excuse me"I got an actual eye roll. Sauce was thrown on the counter. And I had left a $4 tip. So tired of rude service in fast food

Wow! What a great addition to downtown Bellevue! I honestly just love burgers. One night I went here after paying a crazy amount of money to a car dealership, starving, and had a double cheeseburger with avocado. And bacon cheese fries. My hot girlfriend had the regular cheeseburger. Oh my, it was soooo delicious. Also the whole iPad ordering process is pretty cringe, but it worked alright. The guy in front of me in line didn't realize the next iPad had opened up for him. I think he was watching youtube shorts Anyway, I tapped him on the shoulder (I'm not afraid of him) and told him it was his turn. I think he was a little offended/maybe slightly spooked from this as he was prettty deep into YouTube shorts. Other than that, the line moved pretty fast, and we did not have to wait that long for our food. And this was on a Saturday night for reference. In conclusion, I had a great cheeseburger. Tasted great. My girlfriend (who is so gorgeous) liked her burger, too. The cheesy bacon fries were meh. Whatever.

Terrible experience. There is no actual line to order food at the kiosk, people just come in from the side door and cutting line while few of us lining up and waiting by the main entrance. Also, I ordered the bacon avocado chicken sandwich to go and take home with a chicken sandwich, this is a huge price difference. I was so disappointed and angry as I am expecting my sandwich! Never go back to this location again.

Watched a cook wipe their nose with gloves on and touch the food. Walked out without ordering. Gross

Super SLOW service. I see all the orders on the counter unfinished. I didn't use the app - next time will order way ahead. Food consistent, though a little cold on the fries. Hope they will improve...

The manager is fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, and very hard working. We went for our 1st time around 6 pm. Super busy because of Snowflake Lane. They handle the crowd well and the staff stayed patient and upbeat. Really impressed!

My burger was burnt and inedible, fries were cold, I wasn't given a straw for my drink, truffle sauce was barely half full. Service was horrible, we waited outside for 15 min to pick up our food after it was already made and I had received a text for pick up. We rang the bell but no one came, there was a lot of people behind us waiting too. Asked for ketchup and they never came back. Food was cold after having to wait for so long. Waste of money and time. Never going back.

we waited for 50+ minutes for our order. the place was busy, so I get the order was taking time but the staff was incredibly rude. when i approached to ask how back in line my order was or how long it might take the response was "back off". I wasn't being aggressive or anything and I get the staff was hassled, but they're incredibly rude.then I heard the lady at the counter say the same thing to someone else asking a question, seems to be her go to line. An hour plus later we got our order, the food was below average and the fries were cold. Never coming here again.

I have enjoyed Shake Shack all over the world and I'm thrilled there's now one I can walk to! The exterior walk up window has been awesome. Every time the food is ready at the exact time I schedule it to be set for in their app. I love you Shake Shack.

Food was expensive but worth it!! Yummy burgers that melt in the mouth.. so delicious and we chose mango lemonade..4,5 out of 5 I will go back.

One of the workers, Zac (19, Male?), was very professional... as well as, handsome and a ladies man.

Totally disappointed here. The burgers were but a shadow of their pics. These were 'smashburgers' in the literal sense. I was expecting a pretty decent burger but in the end it was 'meh'. The shakes were good. The crinkle fries were pretty weak as well. They need to stick with traditional string fries. If you want a legit burger with a decent price, great fries, and a good milkshake - hit the local Burgermaster - they will do you proud.
