They have only 2 automated kiosks from which you may order. Inevitably a large group or a slow person will tie up the kiosks for 5 minutes or more. There is usually a long line just to get to the kiosk and order. Shake Shack should install at least 2 additional kiosks.
The ordering process once you are at the kiosk is slow. When you try to checkout, it tries to upsell you more food. Then it asks you for a tip. Then it asks you to donate to a charity. Finally it asks you to pay. By the time I finished paying, I had already spent 10-15 minutes there.
Once you pay, the incredibly long wait begins. People in front of us had been waiting 10-15 minutes just to get a simple small order. After ordering, I went to Dunkin (which is a 5-7 minute walk from Shake Shack), made a purchase, and walked back. My order was still not ready, and people who ordered before me were still waiting. None of the workers would come to the counter to explain why the delay was so very long. We could see the staff from the counter, and they were clearly in no hurry to prepare any of the food. After spending 30-35 minutes total there, I had to leave to catch my flight, with no food from Shake Shack.
Unless you are prepared to wait more than 35 minutes (15+ mins to order and 20+ mins to make your order), I highly recommend avoiding this Shake Shack and going to any other restaurant.
