Shake Shack Dallas, Uptown

I wish I could say the quality of the food tonight was an exception, not the rule. But it’s not. This is the fourth consecutively time that I have ordered from this location and could not eat it because it was so burnt. This was expensive. A burger was burnt beyond a crisp, and my fries were clearly scraped from the bottom of the fry bin and had been sitting. I know it’s Friday, but shame on you for serving this garbage to your customers. Repeatedly. This was taken out.

I play my co-worker for putting the idea in my head since he saw the ad for shake shack. Anyways after work I decided to pop over there that night. Just go ahead and order an avocado bacon burger 🍔 with a lemonade 🍋. Presentation wise it looks good. Atmosphere wise at the place is pretty good. Overall taste test of the burger, not grand, but a lot better than McDonald's. Obviously this isn't going to be an everyday thing but it's a good place to chill out once in awhile.

My burger is burnt beyond being edible. And my fries were old, hard and appeared to be what was scraped from the bottom of the fry bin. This makes 4 times in a row this location served essentially garbage to its customers. Where is the manager, or supervisor? Or someone who takes pride in themselves, their work and the product they send out? I do not recommend anything from this location. And hopefully this time I will get a callback from the manager. 6 days later. Still no call back.

The past two orders placed her for pickup, I have had missing items on my burgers. Among other order pickup issues. Food quality isn’t bad. Just needs a lot of QC and customer service improvement. I believe upper management has no idea how non-attentive the staff is with order details and pickup process. Some managerial improvement along with enforced training could help matters. But a long shot. I’m done with this location and it is closest shakeshack by a long distance. So farewell Shakeshack. It’s been real. Photo is of all the “bacon” on my “bacon cheeseburger” lol.

This was my first time eating at a Shake Shack. Self ordering kiosk was easy to use. Took about 15 minutes to get my order, which was a little surprising because they were not busy. Food was very good and came out hot. Staff was very friendly and place was overall pretty clean. Not cheap but would definitely go back.

We visited the Shake Shack in Uptown tonight, and the experience was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They checked in on us several times to make sure everything was perfect and even asked how we were enjoying our meal. The bathroom was spotless—cleaned to perfection. Overall, an excellent team, manager, and exceptional service. Thank you!

Really nice crew. Good food. Clean restaurant. Downside is they screw up the orders… a lot. If you can live with that, then I strongly recommend.

A little pricy, but delish! I dig their tempura mushroom "burger" and their chocolate malt. If you order from Uber - skip the fries. However, if you eat there, definitely order the fries. So good!

Food-was pretty good overall just not as filling for the pricing. Bacon cheese fries were meh. I was expecting more of a rich Rico's nacho cheese flavor or ballpark concession style but theirs was lighter in flavor and color. Service-fast Price-for what we got was pricey (we have a family of 5 though) didn't completely fill my husband and me up either so that was a bummer (even with the fries) Shakes were decent (one vanilla and one cookies n cream) Ambiance-outside was great! Loved the seating area and overall vibe and a good deal of shade even though it was hot when we came. There are table games to play as well. My son and his teammates seemed to enjoy themselves.

This was probably our third or fourth visit, first time since the pandemic. Place is still as busy as ever! The staff were all so friendly. We ordered the Smoke Shack double, the Avocado Bacon Burger single, and a single order or cheese fries with two drinks. We used the kiosk and it was fairly simple and easy to use (you can also order in the line). We found our seat as the place started filling up, had time to wash our hands. About 12 min after ordering someone brought our food out to our table. The burgers were hot, fresh and delicious, my husband gobbled down his burger while I slowly enjoyed mine. The cheese fries have a creamy macaroni style cheese on top and oh my goodness were they super good! I would get them again in a heartbeat. I was again impressed with my visit. Will be returning during our next visit to Uptown.

Was staying in the area and decided to try a new burger joint. The service is unique as you don't actually talk to anyone unless you need something. All ordering is done at a kiosk. So can't really rate any service interaction. Food wait was under 10 minutes so that was good. Only downside in store was the AC was out but the temperature was not horrendous considering it was over 100 outside. The bacon cheese fries were great and so was the strawberry lemonade. The burgers were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The fried onions added an additional flavor layer that was a great touch! The outdoor area has some nice tables and chairs and some outdoor games for kids and groups. Overall enjoyable experience

This was my first time having Shake Shack! I had a YouTuber recommend it from CA but there are none in OK so when visiting TX I really wanted to try it. Burger was good, like a better Freddy's Steakhouse burger. The fries were yummy, like Braum's crinkle-cut fries. Their website got me really excited for the pomegranate basil lemonade but this location didn't serve that. I got the strawberry lemonade instead, and it was also very good. Good late-night food. We came pretty late at night on a Wednesday and the parking was full, so we went underground to park at the Crescent parking. This was confusing because the parking mentioned Shake Shack, but we forgot to see if parking could be validated and had to pay the $10. It was also confusing how to walk out of Crescent parking, as the elevators took you up to a building separate from Shake Shack. Regardless, we eventually figured it out and got in and out with our food to go. I'd eat it again but probably would try a different location!

I'd give it 5 for the atmosphere and location, which is top notch. Love the picnic tables, benches, Adirondack chairs, and outdoor games on their shady, expansive lawns. But let's be real - it cost $7 for a cheeseburger that was less than 1/4 lb. Fries and drinks are a la charge. The nuggets were very greasy and the breading was soft, not crunchy. Throw in some shakes (braum's is much better, IMO), and you're easily looking at $70 for 4 people - 2 were kids. The food is decent, don't get me wrong - but it doesn't justify the cost.

This place is "okay." It is noting special that is worth the hassle to get to this place. It is only convenient if you live within walking distance. If you drive, there are only about 10 spots in the lot but those are shared with all the other business near by and one is a large office blvd. So there is never parking. Unless you use the underground parking which is $5.00 and they do not validate. Again, not worth the hassle of going there. The food is "okay." The inside/outside is clean. The staff is polite as well, which is nice. WhatABurger is better IMO.

I only come to shake shack every few months because it's so expensive for not a lot of food. This location is convenient but parking can be a nightmare during peak hours. It's very spacious with and I haven't had any issues with service.

I've been a fan of Shake Shack for a long time and this location didn't disappoint! I came here a couple weeks ago for a Sofar Sounds concert. I had the Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich (also comes in burger form), a black and white shake, fries, and a really good flavored lemonade. Everything was really good. This was the first time I've ever gotten a chicken sandwich from Shake Shack as I'm a "burger queen", but this chicken sandwich and toppings really worked well together and I think I'd prefer this over the equivalent with a beef patty. This location is right in the heart of Uptown. They validate if you park in the underground garage at Hotel Crescent (adjacent), which is great! This location has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I moved to Dallas last year and have been to Shake Shacks across the country, and when I first saw this location not long after I moved to Dallas, I said "wow that's gotta be the nicest Shake Shack ever." I said this because of the large outdoor dining area. There's plenty of shade, trees, space, and seating. It made for the perfect place for a small, intimate outdoor concert. I loved it! Now let's face the facts. I've noticed since I first moved here that people in Dallas really don't seem to care that much about Shake Shack. In almost every other city I've been to one at, they always a long line and wait to order and are packed. I had my suspicions and I can tell by the reviews that my suspicions were accurate. There's no denying that Shake Shack's burger tastes a lot like In-and-Out's burger. There's also no denying that if you're going to get a burger that tastes similar, you're most likely going to go to the one that's cheaper, which in this case is In-and-Out. Dallas is one of the very few areas outside of California with an In-and-Out, so for all the rest of us folks from elsewhere, Shake Shack is the place to go for that type of burger taste. Dallas, you're spoiled. Shake Shack is great, and definitely has better fries!

First time at Shake Shack!!! I can not even believe that people stack Shake Shack against In n Out, like In n Out wins every single time because it is a far better value! BUT, Shake Shack is not bad, just not worth it imo. We got the Avocado Bacon Burger, Smokeshack, Buffalo Fries, and Chocolate Pie Shake. The best item was the Chocolate Pie Shake lol. They're doing a collaboration with Four & Twenty Black Birds Pie and I think they literally blend a chocolate pie into the shake, then garnish it with buttery pie crust. It's so good, possessing an unexpectedly complex depth of flavor for a run-of-the-mill chocolate shake. I was impressed. The Avocado Bacon Burger costs a pretty penny just for the avo and bacon; apart from that, nothing exceptional about the burger (no char to the meat like Habit Burger or remarkable juiciness like Rodeo Goat). Same goes for the Smokeshack, which my bf liked but considers overpriced. And for what? Some cherry peppers? The Buffalo Fries were also disappointing. Crinkle cut fries always float my boat but I could hardly taste any Buffalo seasoning. First and last time at Shakeshack lol

So yummy! A little expensive, but would def come again. Cheese sauce on fries is great & the hot sauce packets are a must

Literally I have no words. I don't know if I was extremely starving or what, but this food was absolutely amazing. I ate it so fast. I have a stomach ache My husband and I shared some bacon cheese fries, he got a double bacon cheeseburger, cookies & cream milkshake, and I got the shake stack! My burger I already want another!!!! 100000/1000000 in love. If you are debating, go here! I didn't even have time to take a picture of my food lol The only downside I would say is the pricing. We payed about $45 for our food. My burger was the most expensive ($13 I think) but it was good if you don't mind the money. The atmosphere was chill and they have free cold water Service was very quick, despite the traffic

The food here is basically so-so: overpriced, undersized burgers with some sort of small twist/add-on (e.g. bacon or cheese), or interesting decadent shakes (which are admittedly not bad). Service was negligible; our order was out for 5 minutes (we could see it on the counter), but nobody brought it out to us, despite being given a table number. The real reason you want to come here is surprisingly the atmosphere and environment. The outside eating area is absolutely huge, spanning nearly half the block. There are plentiful reclining chairs and tables, comfortable patio seating, and lots of indoor seating. Exteriors are illuminated by myriad string lights. There's a ping pong table outside, and even a small water bowl station for dogs. It's a perfect place to get a late night snack or shake and chill outside with friends on a warm summer evening (as they're open until 11pm on weekends). It's also surprisingly clean both inside and outside, and you could just park across the street in the parking lot. It really reminds me of the original shake shack in NY. If you miss that while being in Dallas, this place shouldn't disappoint.

I love me some Shake Shack, whenever we are in Dallas we stop at the Shack for a burger and a seasonal flavored shake. Delicious down to the final bite. We have eclectic eaters so there is always something to enjoy. Pro Tip: Crinkle cut fries are extra delicious when dipped in their honey mustard sauce! (But you have to ask for the sauce).

This is convenient and close but every single time service is bad and takes a long time still to get items that you order wrong. But it's spacious with nice outside seating

Service was fast - food (Burgers & Fries) was amazing - atmosphere on point! As Arnold Schwarzenegger said in that one movie "I'll be back"

My family and I came here the day before and the day after thanksgiving. The food was of course on point, as always from any shake shack I've been to. The service was great, super friendly BEFORE and AFTER a holiday where I'm sure no one would want to be doing. Ambiance was the usually shake shack atmosphere. If you miss the entrance to the parking lot you'll have to go around. It's a sharp turn FYI, like you're going to the hotel.

We went here after going to the Perot National Museum and playing a couple of hours of Pokemon Go and this place was busy at around 1:30pm. I ordered the bacon avocado burger and my wife the mushroom burger, a large root beer and lemonade. Total came out to be around $32 dollars. The burgers were quite expensive as it ended up being $12 dollars each and size did not look huge. But quality was great as the meat was fresh. It was enough to feed us through out the day. Food did take longer than expected and we waited for 20 minutes for our food.

Two stars for cool location and decent service. But my GOD is this overpriced. Simple as that. Just not worth it. $12.50 for a burger? What is going on here?

Ordered delivery from this place via the Shake Shack website around 6:40 PM on a Saturday evening. The food was supposed to arrive between 7:14 PM - 7:40 PM. We waited until 7:50 PM to start calling this location. We called five times and never got to an actual person. We got a confirmation email that the order was received, but the order was un-trackable online. We waited until 8:15 PM to just go directly to the store & just order there. We never got the delivery. The food we ordered directly was so burnt (see photo) & old - tomato was powdery & portobello was so chewy it couldn't be bitten through. Overall, terrible customer service.

I was kicked out of shake shack for absolutely nothing. I was told I was discriminating but I didn't talk to anyone inside. I simply gave my friend a hug.

After waiting 25 minutes to place my order (only one cashier at 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon seemed very odd). One positive was Dan and the other girl working the cash register were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I then waited 38 minutes to get my food (order time on receipt was 1:41 pm and my food was ready at 2:19 pm. Then they didn't give me everything I ordered and I had to go back. The girl that was handing out orders was very rude and her long hair was swinging all over the counters and the food. My burger when I got it was made as I requested but not hot and the patty was burned and over-salted. I will say, while I don't love crinkle fries, they were quite tasty. I didn't take pictures of the food because it wasn't worth it. This was my first visit to a Shake Shack and will indeed be my very last.

My daughter loves it! And their shakes were soooo good. They just need more locations south of Dallas. We only go when coming from or to the airport.

Edit. I did reach out like Jake asked and got told to take it up with Uber eats. Terrible service continues. At this point, I am moving on.

$9 for a chicken strip on a bun. Seems pretty mediocre to me. The husbands burger was pretty oily, better off going to in & out. Don't see the hype for this place what so ever.

My friend and I came to this location this past weekend and the service was horrible. I ordered at the kiosk, took a number stand and got a text on my phone saying "we will text you when your food is ready." So we went outside and after about 10 minutes we saw people that came in after us come out with their food so we walked back in. My friend and I went to look at the orders sitting, since this older lady that was suppose to be helping with orders was clearly gossiping with another coworker.. she all of a sudden yells "WHATS YOUR NAME!" As we're JUST LOOKING, so we said it as we showed her our number that we got at the kiosk. The same worker then says "we been calling you, where were you?!" And I said "sitting outside, it says it'll text us when the food is ready." and she then says "don't believe everything you see" as if that makes sense in the situation we are in. She continues to talking herself and repeating the same thing out loud as I'm just trying to grab ketchup and leave. I didn't complain about anything from the start but the worker went off on a rant as if I did. I wish I would've gotten her name but I didn't bother looking. It was 930 at night and I just wanted to get my food and leave. The food was good though, but the service (that one worker) ruined the whole experience. I would definitely go out of my way to go to a different location.

Hamburgers are good tasting but tiny. Could easily eat multiple ones. For the price, not worth it.

Ok, I get it now. I had to return twice and order two different things on my return visits to see what everyone was raving about. Although not the biggest burgers in the world, they do have that sloppy-real burger look and taste that I like. On one occasion I tried the chicken sandwich and it was rather small, so I wouldn't order that again; the taste was alright but nahh, I'm good on that. The most recent time I tried to double burger again and with the correct fixins, it was a good burger. I am a huge fan of crinkle cut fries, and these have always been solid here; add a good lemonade with free refills and I don't have too many complaints. For the price, I still say they are pretty high but that is what most burgers places are changing these days, so it is what it is. I appreciate Jake and his team reaching out to me after my initial review to ensure my initial experience was not everlasting. I'd return when I am not concerned about the potential constipation the burger brings to my body...because they don't skimp on that cheese! Haha!

When you see the one stars, you better believe them. I try not to leave one star reviews since they often seem petty, but this place runs on rudeness, slowness, and cold food. Didn't help that corporate gave me a promo code, because first it didn't work, and now that the app accepts it, it refused to accept my credit cards.

The burgers and French fries were wonderful. So is Michelle. I'll be back with our dog whenever we come back to Dallas.

Hungry as heck, but didn't want another burger, so I ordered the Chick'n Shack (fried chicken sandwich). NEVER AGAIN! The chicken and bun were the size of a chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-A...and it lacked any flavor. I'll have to try the burger to see if that passes the sniff test...another time, since that's what seems to be the draw, outside of the shakes.

Finally made my way to Shake Shack. I ordered by app and ate there. I hadn't had a really good burger in a long time until today. Normally, I wouldn't get crinkle cut fries because I don't like the way they usually turn out. However, I decided to try them because I was really craving some fries and figured that even if I didn't like them, I'd at least get a taste of them. I'm so glad I ate here. The burger was delicious and perfectly cooked (they reminded me of home cooked burger patties). The fries were lightly crispy and perfectly salted. I normally add mustard, ketchup, and mayo to my burgers but they were flavourful enough that I didn't feel the need to add anything extra other than the pickles I originally requested with my order. I did not have a shake as I'm lactose intolerant but I did have their sweet tea. It was not overly sweet which I greatly appreciate it. Definitely coming back. I had heard great things about this place but it just wasn't my kind of burger place. The burgers are plain and kind of greasy since they are steak burgers. I had the regular #1. I did try a shake and it was very good. I would go back only for the shakes

The food is delicious. It's good quality and our fries were fresh. For the amount you're paying, I'd expect a clean dining room area. Chick-fil-A can get their dining room clean and their price point is lower.

First time at a Shake Shack, and it did not disappoint! The burgers were very juicy and tasty. The shakes were really good and definitely lived up to my expectations. The workers were friendly and welcoming. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit on the patio. You don't even notice you're in the city with all the trees around. There were outdoor games, and dogs are welcome on the patio as well. Definitely recommend!

Came here for an afternoon snack and ordered the cheese fries. The order took forever to come out. The cheese was packaged in small cups on the side. The cheese was very mediocre. The fries were thick and salty, pretty. Two sides of cheesy fries was $8, definitely not worth the price, portions were small too. Only good thing about Shake Shack was it's location in the center of the city and it's beautiful outdoor seating area. Great place to bring kids and dogs.

Atmosphere (4 out of 5): Although a quick service burger place, Shake Shack usually has a nice modern building and a clean aesthetic interior. This one is no different, and relatively on the higher end with a nice outdoor park seating area in addition to a well sized dining room. Service (4 out of 5): Had no issue ordering and picking up food. Appreciated the well stocked, with variety, self service condiments bar. Double ShackBurger (3 out of 5): A solid burger overall, flavor is basic but strong. Decent balance between the meat and cheese, but definitely on the stronger, saltier side as opposed to a complete flavor balance. The burger is presented wrapped in paper, but the moisture from the cheese and sauce quickly begins to cause sogginess in the wrapping and the burger. Crinkle Cut Fries (2.5 out of 5): Judged against other quick service crinkle cut fries, these are nothing special, on the drier side, but not to the point of disappointment. Cookies and Cream Shake (3.5 out of 5): A solid milkshake, you can clearly taste the ice cream base. A good balance of flavors, but this may be due to the great ice cream base. Value (3 out of 5): Shake shack is on the expensive side for a quick service burger, and unfortunately the portion size does not entirely reflect that. However, the slightly higher quality of ingredients allows for a more whole taste, rather than the cheap fast food taste other places may have.

I have tried the burgers at Shake Shack and they are decent, but nothing out of the water in my opinion. I decided to take the beaten path and order the Hot Chick'n Sandwich time. A+ for presentation because you could literally see the crispy bits all over the chicken, which was nestled between slaw, pickles, special sauce, and pillowy buns. The crunch factor was definitely there and the slaw and pickles were a great compliement. Unfortunately, the chicken was not "hot" at all and it was dry. I also wished that there was more sauce, which could have helped mask the dryness (and I wanted more of that flavor!). I ended up adding Louisiana hot sauce which luckily paired perfectly. Fix all these issues and it would be the perfect chicken sandwich! Shake Shack is located in the heart of Uptown, making it a great location. The modern and open concept makes this a great place to stop by for a quick meal or casual date. There is also plenty of outdoor seating for sunny days and those with dogs! I believe there is also some sort of dog treat on the menu so be sure to check that out if you bring a furry friend with you.

Food was not very good. For $16.50 I got a burger, fries, and a tea. I assumed the burger would at least be good? Not the case. Really over cooked and the fries were legitimately crunchy like chips. Also the three orders infront of me got their food delivered to their table then for mine they just yelled my name expecting me to go grab it from the front. What's the point of them giving you a table marker then?

Food is great and staff is nice, but service does tend to be slow. You can never go wrong with Shake Shack food! If you're looking to pop in and out quickly for food, I recommend using the pickup option via the Shake Shack application or account for extra waiting time after ordering in-person.

I tried the shake burger for the first time today and it was delicious. I ordered to go so I didn't get to fully experience it. When ordering, I set the pick up time as 'ASAP' and it was ready within 10 minutes! How convenient! We brought it back to the office and it was still hot and fresh. I'm always skeptical about trying burgers, because a lot of the time the patty is bland but their patty was very well seasoned. I ordered the shack double burger without tomatoes and sauce on the side. Sadly, there was no sauce in my bag. My co worker ordered sauce on the side also, and there was no sauce found. Pretty disappointed, because I'm sure that was the whole point of the burger. So basically, I just ate a double cheeseburger (a really good one though). I couldn't find an option to order the cheese fries on the online menu so I just ordered plain fries. I don't know if they don't offer it as to-go yet or what, but the fries were good so not that disappointed. Good food, hopefully I'll have the chance to dine in next time to get everything I wanted to try.

If your gonna be strict on customer wearing mask at your place of business please educate your employees on how to wear there mask Properly ... I'm just glad I they got my order right this time ...

Lunch was great the mgr Aaron and staff very nice people will definitely visit again during my lunch break. Service is fast considering the lunch crowd is out the door food was served fast and hot it tastes better than Smash burgers Well had lunch there again great as always so delicious

I like the location for starters. The menu had variety and diversity. I definitely was like a kid in a candy store. I didn't know what to try. The staff was super nice and energetic. Definitely reminded me of the folks from the CiCi's commercial. They suggested their main seller, a single with cheese fries and shake. It was cooked fresh, so I waited a little bit but they delivered. Good, greasy burger for sure!!! Now, not my fave burger but definitely good. I would try the spicy chicken or hot dog. Yummy, nonetheless

Coming to Shake Shack always "takes me back" like the old folk say. There's nothing like a good, juicy burger, perfectly golden fries, and a creamy malt on a hot summer afternoon. Now this last time I went, it was a cold winter night and the last place I wanted to be was outside. And some kind of way, each bite into the Burger, and every sip of that malt, made me feel like I was reliving my childhood. Shake Shack really knows how to lighten up your taste buds. But better than they, they are always consistent. I've never had a bad experience at Shake Shack and that type of service and quality is what gets them 5/5 in my book!

Food was mediocre. My entire family got sick after eating here. We had not been together prior to eating. Sick all night long. I took my time and emailed hospitality. I was not looking for a refund, but they totally missed the point. Liz, on the hospitality team never even asked how we were doing. She just started her email saying they would not give refunds. Ummm, I am reaching out to let you know of a possible food born illness ma'am- that is all. Inept to say the very least! No longer a fan after years of loyalty.

Between in and out and shake shack coming to see from wast/west coast. in and out may go back to California. I prefer shake shack so much more! They're both burgers so they can be compare. I love shake shack burgers and their crinkle cut fries. I also get the peanut butter shake!
