A really chill place with great food that manages to be filling despite the small size. The smash burger tastes a lot better than what you get a fastfood joints and the milkshake was pretty good too. The staff had a friendly vibe. Definitely recommend.

Worst experience ever. Extremely disappointed. This is already the THIRD time I receive my order WITHOUT THE DRINK. How is this even possible? Why are you cheating customers? Are you intentionally not putting drinks in the bag to save money? Do you think you can get rich by stealing from your guests? Where is the manager of this restaurant? Why is there no control over your staff? What’s unbelievable is that only THIS location works like this. Other locations are fine and do their job properly. Why can’t you control your employees? Why do they lie to customers and send incomplete orders? For the third time, my order arrived without the drink that I PAID for. There was no drink inside the bag at all. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I do NOT recommend this location. Check your orders carefully or better, avoid this place completely.

Ok here goes!!! I walk into this place for the very 1st time. I don’t eat fast foods regularly so I said let’s give this place a try. As I waited No one said anything to me and I’m by the counter approximately 5 minutes until I was approached by a worker that was passing on the outside. I immediately told her it was my very 1st time. I didn’t have to come in here because I just had CAVA and 2 Starbucks ice latte’s and I with my dumb self said let’s give them a try just because. I even had time to sign up on the app to check out what they had and I was the only customer at the order here sign. I like to look around & observe to make sure it’s clean so I looked to see how they operate in the back preparing the burgers. They had about 3 outside orders waiting at the time as well and about 3 customers at a table eating. After paying she handed me a number and said thank you. I waited and waited another 5 to 8 minutes. Now when I saw her bringing the order I said that’s mines because obviously I’m the only new customer. The woman passed me at the counter and walked behind me then shout the number “66”. Maybe she thought it was 666 I don’t know but the attitude was horrendous. So I open my hand to take it and she refuses to give me. Started shouting and speaking very loudly asking where am I sitting while rolling her eyes. Again I have never been in here ever!!! I chose a spot and she’s rolling her eyes and continuing to argue speaking very loud until another person intervene and asked her to come by them for something. How am I suppose to know I’m suppose to pick a place to sit and they serve you if no one told me. I’m in a fast food place I’m trying for the 1st time. Key point “I am a customer and without my money you won’t be here getting paid.” Your attitude is key when it comes to customer service regardless if you tired and want to go home or frustrated for your own personal problems. Show people respect especially when you depending on them to get paid. If you didn’t have to be there working you won’t be there working. I enjoyed burgers more I made at home!!! They just lost a 1st time customer!!! Even McDonald’s give wayyy better service. I’ve gotten better treatment from Mexicans, Whites, Italians, Indians but the minute I walk into a place like shake-shack and I see all black people they about to fight with me!!! Why?!!! Because I’m black and they assume!!! I guess I’m bringing down my own!!! And this person is suppose to be the manager as she claimed. *Tip for the manager: excuse me I greatly apologize for the misunderstanding. Please allow me to bring your meal to a table of your choosing. It’s your very 1st time and we are a very customer friendly fast food joint willing to try and put a smile on your face before you even touch the food we created with smiles. Would you like to add anything else to your meal so you enjoy more? Again I greatly apologize. Thank you for your patience. Hope to see you again soon. 😉

The food is good but it is not amazing burger . Personnel 10/10.

Slowest service ever. Used kiosk and ordered to go on Wednesday around noon. There were 3 employees working, two female and a male. They all look miserable and worked at snail speed. I ordered a burger and fries and it took 25+ mins to get my order. There were barely any customers. Just watching them work is painful cause they look like they hate their jobs. I never seen a shake shack so sad. Ridiculous! Never again.

I still think of how tasty the cheese sauce chips are here and milkshake. I miss NYC and can’t wait to eat here again. I tried the Shake Shack in London England but definitely does not taste as great as this Shake Shack in Brooklyn. Also the staff waitress staff were so friendly and welcoming. It’s Brooklyn so the atmosphere wasn’t as great as the New York Centre City so 4/5 for that.

Very delicious burgers 🍔 and fries 🍟 😋 great staff with great hospitality. But the bathroom needs more cleaning maintenance. Prices were a little to high i spend over 100 bucks for 3 people but it was delicious 😋. Restaurant Needs more Ketchup. If shake shack had good promotion deals ill go more often 😋

A well-maintained, polite, and clean location. I've always had positive experiences here, and unlike some other places, they seem to be maintaining their standards despite the pandemic. But this one deserves three cheers!

We enjoyed our visit to Shake Shack. The store was clean, and using the app made ordering easy and efficient. Our order came out quickly. All burgers were hot and made exactly as we ordered.

I remember when this location first opened. It continues to be consistent with regards to cleanliness. The food is always fresh and the service is some of the best. Even the new location at Kings Plaza lacks good service. My only complaint is that the prices have gone up so I only stop in on a splurge day. Still better than 7th street Burger.

Got my meal nice and hot, but a bit expensive for a full meal, $25 for a lunch. Fry, shack stack & a large lemonade.

The meal was good, the service was better. I was a little disappointed in the lack of Korean flavors. It was seasoned well, but nothing about that burger tasted korean. The sauce that comes with the fries, the korean BBQ sauce tasted like a sesame, fermented soy mayo. Anways I enjoyed the meal didn't deserve a 3 star so I think the 4 star is the way to go. It wasn't busy on a Saturday for lunch (1:30pm-2pm)

Shake Shack is consistently one of my favorite burgers in the city. The burgers are a bit expensive with a drink and fries but the meal is overall enjoyable. The lines are always a bit long, especially on the weekends and after school gets out, but really delicious!

Came here for lunch while on break from jury duty. I have a craving for a milkshake, and after searching online all night, I opted for this location because I knew I would be here and have seen it before. I never really cared for shake shack when it popped up on the scene, but I finally wanted to see what the hype was all about. This location downtown Brooklyn is pretty busy. I walked in almost around 1 p.m., and it immediately got full. I proceeded to the kiosk to order, and it was quick. They have the traditional ordering boards in front so you can see what you want to order beforehand. Didn't take too long for my order, maybe 6-10min. I sat at the back; there are plenty of space and available seats, which is good. Condiments and napkins are on the side by the front. Customer service is good and quick. Very clean. I ordered the dreamsickle shake, which is limited time, and the single smokeshack burger. I chose not to get fries because it was a separate charge and not included with the burger. The dreamsickle shake is just eghh; nothing to rave about. It didn't taste neither good nor bad. I thought it was going to have a more orange-y taste, but it just tastes like vanilla ice cream - very disappointed. The smokeshack burger came with bacon and agian it was just eghhhh ok; nothing to rave about. Neither good nor bad. No distinctive flavors, just regular. I was really hoping that it was going to be this great tasting burger full of bursting flavor and i was going to put my money where my mouth is but, I wished I would've spent my $17 at burger king enjoying am impossible whopper that comes with fries and drink. So, in the end, I was right all along. The hype is Just That!. But if you want lunch, visit there and try for yourself. But the single doesn't really fill you up, though maybe if you get a double stack.

I been to this location a few times. Most recently I got some lunch to go. I ordered a chicken sandwich and french fries on the app. It took a few minutes before my food was ready even though it said it would be ready 15 minutes prior to my arriving. They moved pretty quickly even though the place was crowded and there was a lot of people waiting for food. They didn't provide any condiments and I had to wait for them to get them.The food was hot and tasty. The chicken sandwich tasted fresh and yummy.

Shakeshack shack burgers are perfect! That's all there is to really say. They are crisp, excellent quality, bread is perfectly soft inside and crunch outside.

Kinda irritated. The customer service was amazing. But it's late and I couldn't even take it back for them to fix it if I wanted to. I never asked for onions and definitely not the hair. SMH.

I love Shake Shack's 'Shroom Burger. The batter-fried mushroom stuffed with cheese provides a great alternative to a veggie burger. Sometimes the mushroom is a bit tough to bite through, but it's very tasty. I usually add avocado and cherry peppers for some extra texture and flavor. Both their regular fries and cheese fries are also great. Crinkle cut and super crispy with just the right amount of salt. This particular location feels like a greenhouse with floor to ceiling windows and lots of natural light.

My first time eating shake shack and I honestly don't understand the hype. The burgers are okay at best, the drinks aren't that great, the chicken nuggets (chunks) or whatever is called was super oily, the service was okay at best. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the chicken sandwich... I don't get the hype at all.

I ordered the hot ones cheese fries (with cheese on the side) and the ShackBurger. I gave my partner the cheese as I had a very heavy handed cheese dish the day before and couldn't handle more on my fries and burger. There was too much Aleppo spice on top of my fries so I couldn't really taste the hot ones sauce so I didn't like the fries much. I did put some hot ones sauce on my burger, and it definitely enhanced that so maybe the hot ones chicken sandwich is better but I wouldn't recommend the fries.

A place to get good burgers and fries. The burgers are made fresh definitely better than these other fast food places. You won't have to worry about an overcooked or dry burger. A great place for a quick bite. And they have great shakes!

What a total disappointment. I ordered BLT for the first time. All I got just two pieces not fresh lettuces and three slices tomatoes. Where are the bacons

Came here to get a bite and I have to say this may be one of my new favorite locations A lot of seating inside, pretty clean for how busy it gets, workers are all nice and the food comes out fast Ordered for take out and it only took 10 mins for the food to come out. The have a designated area for all the online orders so it's easy to get. The smash burger is good I recommend adding onion to it, it really enhances the flavor of the burger as a whole Cheese fries are the way to go, but make sure to get you cheese sauce on the side!

My first time trying shake shack in Brooklyn and it's the place is really nice. The staff were friendly but it just took longer than expected. I ordered the truffle burger and garlic Parmesan fries and was so tasty. Although the burger is small itself and fries. You'd better off get a double burger.

I don't know how they manage to improve on burger and fries, but they do! Superior 'fast' food, and with gluten-free buns if you need them.

Used the app to order ahead and the process was easy. I got their new bourbon sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. I did forget to tell them to put the cheese on the side for my fries but that should have been a given if my order is for takeout. My fries ended up super soggy because the cheese was already on top of my fries so that was a bit disappointing to eat. Other than that, the service was fast and the workers were friendly! Will definitely come to this location again.

Now, the important question that everyone had to ask me after coming back to California from visiting New York. "Mae, so... In N Out or Shake Shack?" Because this is such a huge debate between the two burger joints, I'll do an extremely detailed review. The fries - Crinkle Cut style. Very crispy but not too overcooked which gives them an awesome texture. Flavored perfectly, not too salty and not as limpy. Goes well with a simple ketchup dip! Possibly the best fries I've ever had at a burger joint. In N Out fries are good but sometimes they're sad and limpy, and when you ask for them to be well-done... they're just all crunchy and the texture just isn't that great.. As a result... ONE HUNDRED POINTS TO SHAKE SHACK! The shake - OH my God. Hands down amazing. I ordered the cookies and cream and it was so tasty. It's a milkshake that is just perfectly flavored - not overly sweet, not too thick to where you're trying so hard to drink some. Literally perfect. ONE HUNDRED POINTS TO SHAKE SHACK! The burger - Pretty good! I highly enjoyed the potato bun and the quality of the meat. However, I was not a fan of the sauce that they use. I thought it was just a little too salty for my taste. It also just seemed a tad too smol for the price and quality of the burger. It's still tasty! But because of sauce, size, and price, I think I'd rather have an In N Out burger. ONE HUNDRED POINTS TO IN N OUT! Overall - I tell those who ask.. if the In N Out sauce was used in the Shake Shack burger, it would be absolute perfection.

This review is specifically for the customer service . We dined for lunch around 1pm today, and at 1:47pm, I put in an order for two shakes to go. Pickup time was 1:56-2:01 Around 1:53, we went to wait at the pickup area. After 5 min, we moved up closer, then started trying to ask for a status of our shakes. I asked twice to the woman at the front, who ignored me the first two times. Two other people were inquiring as to their take out orders. She said either "not ready" or ignored. I again asked about 2 shakes - at this time - about 2:15, and she said it's coming. During this time, she realized that the orders for the other two people had been in the heater section. She tossed it towards the man waiting longest and said, "oh, your food has been ready." He was very frustrated, but she didn't apologize/acknowledge. Finally, after 20 min of waiting - 20 minutes past when it was to be ready - I asked to speak with a manager. I guess I asked loudly enough because another employee said it's been ready. He said he called my name three times. (I've been there the whole time waiting.) The woman said I should have told her I was an app order - and while the guy was saying he called my name - said they don't call names for app orders. I don't know why she didn't bother to check or help me while my shakes were allegedly sitting there the whole time. No one seemed to care, including the manager who was there to help. I've never had such a terrible experience from a Danny Meyer place - it completely goes against what I understand to be his method of running an establishment. It's enough to make me consider no longer visiting that location, which is closest to me. I hope something can be done to improve the customer service at that location.

After, I received my order, I inquired about napkins-- the customer service representative and the manager nonchalantly said there are no more. I was given an one word explanation " NO." Basically, I had to take it or leave it response. This is unacceptable for this type of food establishment. Hmmm.. I wonder if people stopped patronizing this establishment would napkins matter then? All I can say--this is horrible customer service! The basic needs of a consumer can't be met at Shake Shack. Downtown Brooklyn. This is a shame!!

I'd never had shake shack before and my little brother thought that it was silly and I couldn't let that be a reality anymore in life. Since we were trying to be smart and not travel around a lot we decided to have it delivered. Woa, so dang good, I got the double cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, Mayo and ketchup. Along with fries and the special sauce. I hossed it down like it was the last burger I would ever eat. Just a dang tasty burger that was made just right and I enjoyed every bite. Glad to say I've had it now, and I can't wait to visit a physical location or for one to open up in Indy!

This location is super busy, even when I have to mobile order. Seatings can be tricky but you'll find a seat eventually if you aren't getting food during lunch time. The food is good, had little burnt parts on my patty but it was okay, I like eating crunchy and crispy stuff. It's a quick meal but it doesn't fill you Up with the pricing. It is worth it to try once in your life

I don't know why random customers are rude here. One huge guy simply grabbed over my number plate. And there's two lady cursing each other at the counter. Very loud very terrifying. Horrible experience. Still recovering from my trauma experience. Would never come in person again. Re: manager As a law student from Brooklaw across street, I simply don't have time to follow your guidance and couldn't see any ground to trouble a disappointed customer with all these "burden of proof". To verify my words, a reasonable person could simply check out with staff on shift that night or watch surveillance camera. Best.

Supremely disappointed. They served us a burger with mold on the bun. So we couldn't eat it or risk being sick. Can't believe they would sell food that was old and moldy. Management needs to address this problem because there's no way we should've had to pay for a burger that's inedible.

Located near downtown Brooklyn in a very convenient location steps away from Jay-Metrotech station makes it a great quick stop while craving a burger. The store is not allowing indoor seating at this time but there are plenty of outdoor seating in the open courtyard outside. Unfortunately, there is no enforced social distancing and I saw multiple workers not wearing masks as mandated. The store itself was not very clean on the inside. The wait was longer than expected, around 20-30 minutes during a late Wednesday afternoon. The pros are entirely the food itself. Although the single shackburger is small, it was beautifully made. Think of the burger advertisements where everything looks perfect? That's how I felt with my hot burger when I opened it up. The meat, veggies, and buns all tasted fresh. Although the restaurant lacked certain habitual pros, the burger was great and I will certainly be coming back or ordering!

I ordered delivery from this Shake Shack and was extremely disappointed :( I've been a proud #team shake shack for years in heated debates regarding in-n-out vs SS but over the years shrinkflation has been real at SS and I can no longer justify paying $10+ for a burger that pales in quality and size. I ordered a avocado bacon chicken burger with lettuce wrap - and the chicken might as well have been a chicken nugget. It was smaller than the palm of my hands and I have small hands. No avocados or bacon to be found. Sigh. The shake also tasted watered down. I remember 6-7 years ago the shake would be unbelievably rich and thick. Yes, shake shack is on the pricey side but I would still get it if it matched the quality it used to have. However I'm not convinced these days.

Easily one of the most disgusting experiences I've had. I watched my food get placed under the heating lamp with no wrapper/box. Just bare touching the surface. Then, it was placed into a half paper sleeve (after dragging it across the heating lamp of course. Yum!) and then placed into the bag directly. The grease just oozed out of the thin paper bag. Disgusting. Unsanitary. And when I said something to the manager she wasn't surprised. Just gave me a refund and wished a good day. Never eating at shake shack again.

Typical Shake Shack but this location is clean and orderly. We came on a Sunday afternoon and though it was bustling there were still lots of seats and there was good turnover. They are very friendly and I also like that there is so much light in this location. Solid!

Had a milk shake and it was delicious didn't order anything else so I can't comment on the food

It's a chain, so I expect to get the same meal every time, but this location has been hit or miss. The chicken sandwich is sometimes dry. Once the skin had a weird texture, like it was baked instead of fried. The mushroom burger came highly recommended from a fellow Yelper, but here it was pretty gross. Despite looking delicious on the outside, once I bit into it lukewarm cheese spilled out everywhere and the flesh of the mushroom shredded between my teeth. The batter had completely separated from the mushroom too, a total mess.

Shake Shack is a fancy McDonald's. The menu is slightly broader, and you can purchase a can of wine. The only difference is the the price. Today's purchase was a Buffalo Chicken sandwich, small fries, and a small Root Beer. The Chicken sandwich was no better than a Wendy's Chicken sandwich. The fries were no better than McDonald's fries, and the Root Beer was ice and an ounce of soda. The bill was $16.52, the value $10. Good luck!

We walked into our Hotel with a Shake Shack bag and this gentleman started a conversation saying, "I went to Shake Shack last night for the first time, and my f'n head melted" lol. That says a lot and enough in our opinion. However to get to the tiny details, the new White Truffle Burger was great, the usual mouth watering burgers with Fontina cheese, crispy onion straws and a white truffle sauce. The sauce was funky and good! We also ordered their classic cheese fries which were amazing per usual and then their new Sunset Lemonade which had hints of strawberry, lemon juice, orange zest, all with lemonade, it was eye fluttering GOOD. We give 4 stars to Shake Shake just because of their packaging. The burger isn't in a box, just a sleeve to hold the burger which catches all of the juice and contributes to a soggy bun. So dine in if you want it fresh fresh. The atmosphere is busy but in a great spot to eat and site see. All in all, who doesn't love Shake Shack??? 4/5 we'd recommend Shake Shack.

Good tasty fast food and good service. I like the quality of the food here better than some of the competitors. I recommend you try it out if you haven't yet. We ate here recently when we were shopping and needed a quick bite to eat. We were not disappointed.

Shake Shack is definitely a New York staple, and they've stayed open to feed us during the Coronavirus closures. I ordered food via their app, arrived at my scheduled pickup time, and a few minutes later I was out the door with my correct order. My shack burger was one of the tastiest I've had - it's not easy to keep quality the same during a Pandemic. Thankful for you, Shake Shack.

Great burgers! The BBQ Bacon Burger was great (with mayo). Crinkle cut fries were yummy and rootbeer was amazing. Really busy... other choices schroom burger and shakes are worth trying. Gluten buns available, but seriously if you are vegetarian OR on a diet why the f#%! would you expect any healthy choices at a burger joint. Get serious! Prices are high $8 and the burger wasnt that big but the meat to bun ratio was excellent! Wine selection not bad!

The delivery service app here is horrible at best. More than 50% of the time you will receive an incorrect order. Then there's an intentionally difficult process to write a complaint. You have to do better.

Lets be serious...Its Shake Shack! Its always amazing!!!! Delivery was beyond fast! The burger melts in your mouth, cooked perfectly...the bun super soft. Chicken bites...love them!!! So crispy and well seasoned. Fries...yum!!!! Cookies and cream shake...perfect... Happy Friday Meal!!!!

I don't understand why people love Shake Shack. The burger is better than the chicken sandwich- a dry small price of chicken on a mayonnaise-slathered bun, and the fries are nothing to write home about. Five Guys for me when it come to fast food burgers and fries (the best), and Checkers or Wendy's for chicken!

Shake Shack 1109 in Downtown Brooklyn on the corner of Fulton Street is fairly hidden, it first took me a few times up and down the street to find it as the store name is only on one side of the building. I visited this chain burger joint after a good experience at a location in Manhatten and I hoped that Shake Shack would be able to deliver a good, safe gluten-free meal in Brooklyn, NYC as after the long walk across the stunning Brooklyn Bridge, I was pretty hungry. The store is located on a corner and is a little small considering how busy it can get, I didn't find there to be enough seating either. I was served almost straight away by a friendly server who took my order of a Gluten Free Double Shack Burger, I paid the extra dollar for the gluten-free bun - I hate places that charge extra for GF food, but I do get costs can be higher and if the food is good I'm willing to pay it - however the food wasn't good. Overall it came to $8.33, which worked out eleven cents more compared to their 3rd Avenue store before the currency exchange even came into it! My food did take a while to come, and I was given a pager which I don't understand the use for as they weren't using them - the staff were instead shouting out names/order numbers from the pager. I really didn't like how the burgers were all in a thin piece of paper next to each other, making the chance of cross-contamination high - unlike other locations where they make the gluten-free orders separate and fresh to order, this made me feel really uneasy eating my food as obviously the bun looks exactly the same as the regular one. The quality of my food again was terrible - the meat has no flavour and was chewy while the bun was rather doughy and soggy as fuck - especially at the bottom, the tomatoes which normally add juiciness to the burger tasted as they'd just got them from the ground and done nothing with them - and that isn't good either! In the end, I just had to end up throwing my burger in the bin as I couldn't stomach it after eating around a quarter. The only good thing I can think of regarding this store is the friendly guy that served me, the rest of the experience from the overall store feel, food quality and picking up my order was a terrible mess. 1*

I loved the attentiveness of the staff. Everything was fresh. No complaints. A lot of young people working there but they ran the show!

I absolutely love shake shack! Whenever I'm visiting I have to make a trip. Everytime I go I always seem to get the best employees helping me. They are friendly and always want to make sure I'm happy. This location is no different. I actually think I got the best customer service from this Shake Shack than any other location. It was my first time trying their custard and shortly after I wanted to slap myself for not trying it sooner! I've been missing out!! The chocolate custard is a definite must. Every time I go, I get the same Burger. I get the Shack Stack and add bacon. Granted after everything my meal comes to about $22... But I ain't complaining cause all I'm thinking about is the goodness I'm inhaling. The line may seem long but don't worry it goes by pretty fast. They have a buzzer system so you can easily know when your food is ready.
