Shake Shack

Flew in early from Chicago and had a 2 hour layover. Found the Shake Shack in the Terminal 1 Food Court. They serve breakfast until 10 am but you can also order anything else off their menu. I opted for a Smoke Shack Burger on a Gluten Free Bun with a side of fries and a bottled water. Cost was $21.91 which is pretty standard for airport food. Burger sounded delicious but unfortunately was subpar. They also have vegan options if you’re looking for that. I however will opt for somewhere else next time and think you too could probably find a better option. Safe travels 🙂

Always wanted to try Shake Shack, we don't have it in Canada. Honestly alright. Expected a bit more flavor. But overall fine. Had upset stomach after though

Stopped in here for a quick bit before our flight. 3 burgers. Some fries. Shake and a soda was $60 bucks. Pretty wild. It was decent for fast food quick bite. Wait was pretty long, but they were pretty busy. Got the smokehouse burger and couple avacado burgers

The line got to be rather ridiculous though I happened to be in the front of it before it grew. The worst part was the wait. There were definitely people who ordered after me who got their food first though my order was basic and should not have required any extra steps. The food was good, albeit the airport atmosphere lacks ambience.

Had a layover at the airport and was pleasantly surprised to find this, a solid option for fast food. Was traveling with two others, we all got burgers and two of us had shakes. Shake was delicious, burgers were good. Quick turnaround and staff friendly. In a pinch, decent option.

Service was really good. Even for early morning eating, don’t pass by here. Simple burger and fries is all you need. Probably should get a double burger. Highly recommend

Only 10 minute wait to get my food including the time spent in line with 5 customers ahead of me. Process flows quite quickly at 5:15p on a Saturday. Burger was tasty, even if quite salty, and the construction/presentation wasn't bad either. Seating area accommodates about 25 people with outlets at every table against the wall. Adjacent food court provides lots of additional seating and outlets.

They weren't too busy, so we found fast friendly service and a good burger.

For a burger at 8am, this was just what I needed. The crew was busy prepping for the day. They seemed to coordinate well and I have my food in less than 10 minutes. The burger was better than I was expecting. It was cooked well and was just a little smooshed in the bad. It tasted good! The fries were cooked well and just needed a little salt to finish. Decent service, decent food! I'd stop here again!

I had these folks working at 7:30am on a Saturday morning and they did the darn thing! Ordered a veggie breakfast burger with a veggie pattie vs bacon or pork sausage, egg (they were out of egg white or else would have done that), arugula. Avocado, and it came with crispy onion rings special sauce and pickles none of which I would have ordered had I realized it came with the veggie patty but it was still good. Their bunds are like Hawaiian bread to me, so soft and perfect for a burger type sandwich. This is a heavy breakfast sandwich and since it's at the airport it isn't cheap, but for something a bit more on the healthy side it is VERY tasty. I'd bet a meat eater would be very satisfied with this combo. Certainly a non meat eater would! Just leave off the crispy onions, special sauce and pickles if you're trying to reduce sodium, fried foods and unhealthy stuff. Also got the hash browns. You can share with 2-3 ppl. It's a lot. They're a lil greasy and salty so next time I'd opt out of these for health reasons. The airport food court is super chill early am on a Saturday morning so plenty of seating, nice classical music playing, clean and a chill vibe. Minnesota Nice for the win!

Very friendly service but the cashier knew nothing about GF and I almost got glitched by their new shake. Luckily I changed it to a root beer float while waiting for my food and they were very accommodating. The person I was with got a hot dog and they didn't have mustard for it. Also my burger was very mid and seemed to be slacking on ingredients.

Coming back through MSP I had to give this Shake Shack a try and it did not disappoint. Almost no line, friendly service, and a perfect made to order double bacon cheeseburger. Can't do much better at the airport.

Skip this place. Totally overpriced and no pride in their food. I ordered a bacon avacado burger with ketchup and mayo for $14 and this is the crap they gave me. Pitiful. When I tried to get it fixed, none of the employees helped me and ignored me. Only one employee has any pride and he is working the register. Not worth the money.

The order took a while to come up but it was HOT & fresh. I opted for a chicken sandwich & a redeem shake. The shake was sickeningly sweet... just not something I'd case to drink. The sandwich was good. Overal, I'd say it was a decent stop & I'm surre shake lovers would find the shake delightful, so, not knocking them for my own personal taste.

Good experience here! The employees were friendly and service was quick. There's plenty of seating including booths. I hadn't had Shake Shack in a while so this was a nice treat. I got a regular burger - it was fresh and tasty. The prices weren't too bad considering it's inside the airport.

Really bad experience tried to order food just said I could only pay cash but that they wouldn't take the coupon from my phone. Try to use the app and I got all the way to checking out and it refused to let me check out because I didn't have the right phone number even though it's my phone number. Tried about six times and the staff couldn't help me.

I wanted a snack before my flight and I stopped and got the chocolate frozen custard. I have to say it was pretty good. I'm glad I tried it. I would get it again.

Lots of seating with outlets to get some work in before your flight. Service was quick and the staff were friendly! You are able to order from the lunch menu, even at 6:00am. Food was hot and fresh!

Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. Was not expecting much but the burger had great flavor and was fresh. The shake was just okay...but would go back for their burger anyway. Felt service was pretty good too. Airport so ambiance is people rushing, coming/going but plenty of sitting.

If this was my first experience with Shake Shack, I would think people were crazy, and not try it again. My burger didn't come out correct and the meat tasted like it had never met any seasoning. Add that with a poor attitude at the register and the employees repeatedly yelling 'Welcome to Hell", and it just makes for a poor experience. Even for the airport.

IMHO Wanted to snag a hot meal before we got on our flight and were thrilled to see a Shake Shack in the airport, while heading down to gate F. We ordered two Shake Shack burgers $7.55 each and one fries, $4.55. Everything is made-to-order so be prepared to wait a little. Believe me, it's worth the wait! Not only were the burgers and fries uber-appetizing to look at, but they were also scrumptiously delicious! The buns were perfectly toasted, the burger juicy, and tomato & lettuce fresh! The fries were hot and crispy with plentiful nooks & crannies to hold onto a lot of ketchup! The food here was surprisingly cheaper than other offerings around the airport. Not only was it reasonable, but it was also delicious! Thank you, Shake Shack, we'll be happy to eat here again!

I ordered a regular burger but I've noticed that when they asked me if I wanted whip cream on my shake they will not tell me there's additional fee and I've seen this type of trick in Asia. No way

Food was fast which is good when you are moving fast through the Airport. Hit the smoke shack burger and it was delicious. Fries were good had them with catchup should have asked if they had fry sauce. Definitely recommend this place.

What a disappointment. I've had ShakeShack before, at this location only one other time. This is the worst burger I've eaten in a really long time and I've been to Jack in a Box. We did a mobile order as we know their lines are known to be long. Within 10 minutes, we got our order. What a disappointment! The burger was nothing as their menu advertised. No fried onions and no BBQ. Just a plain smashed, dry burger patty, with two pieces of fried onions, and salty bacon. Such a tiny burger at a whomping $10. No thanks. I remembered why I stayed away from this place. Never again! I'll eat at Bonchon or Jerk King in MOA only from now on.

Went here before a flight to get a quick bite. I have always had unwavering loyalty to Five Guys as the best burger ever, but this made me seriously consider changing sides. Literal PERFECTION!!! So good I got same order after my return flight. Just as impeccable as the first time. GO HERE!!!

You can order the full menu at breakfast YEAH! My husband had a breakfast sandwich and I had the Smoke Shack. Both were served hot and were good. No Abita root beer at this location. About a 5 minute wait for food.

5 stars for the freshest most flavorful yummy burger I've had in a long time! They were very well staffed and handled the large influx of customers at 11am quickly and with a smile. Did I mention the burger was delicious? So much so that I wanted a second one even though I was full. I seriously considered it, but left to my gate...sometimes ya have to say no to your self! BUT Shake Shack will be my go-to when in the MSP airport...I'll be sure to get over there regardless of the gate I enter at.

This was my first time ever at a Shake Shack and likely my last. Ordered a single patty hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cherry peppers. The good news was that the burger itself had a nice, beefy flavor. The bun was the smooshiest white bread ever, the patty itself was absolutely tiny, and it was extremely salty, bordering on a Freddy's burger level of salt (I consider them inedible due to the salt). I'm ignoring the price because I got it at an airport, but for my money (I know Shake Shake is one of the more premium burgers out there) I would much rather have Five Guys or Smashburger, and for less money, a Whopper cleans the floor with this burger.

The young woman who took our order was rude and didn't listen to our order. We asked for a gluten free bun, didn't get one. My Shroom burger, while tasty, was the size of a children's burger. Certainly not close to being worth the price charged. Our order of fries was small and not close to being worth US$4.55. I also noted that at least one person who was handling the food in the "kitchen" did not have a hairnet. We will certainly not return

Older black woman called me sugar, 10/10 made my day a little bit better. Food was pretty good too.

Poor service!! Ordered small custard cup and was given two half scoops. Took 5 minutes. No lines 6 people working. Unacceptable all round.

This was my first experience at Shake Shack. I ordered a root beer float for $6.29, meanwhile my husband ordered a cookies and cream shake for $5.99. I watched as the employee made the float adding 2 small, half-melted scoops of ice cream to a cup that consisted of 80% root beer. Upon receiving our complete order, I was highly disappointed merely at the visual look of the float. After the first sip, which basically consisted all of root beer, my disappointment increased. How this establishment can charge more for a float consisting of maybe 20% ice cream versus a shake which is made entirely of ice cream is beyond me. I also could not identify the type of root beer used and to my personal tastes, it was not to my liking. I didn't get past the first sip. Two star rating because my husband enjoyed his shake. Shake Shack's floats need some serious TLC.

Solid burgers and fries freshly made on the spot served by a friendly staff. Despite the huge turnover of customers, the space is kept clean and orderly which was greatly appreciated. Our order came out fast and love how they've used recyclable materials. Love how spacious the food court where the shake shack is situated - huge open windows that filter a lot of sunlight, along with a lot of different seatings available - ranging from small booths for solo/duo travelers or large tables for bigger parties. Charging stations and outlets were also available and the bathrooms were not too far!

Yikes ! I love shake shack but this was a really bad experience and all of it is due to the bad customer service . So much yelling , rude replies and overall bad attitude . I saw the same interaction repeat over and over again with every customer in the line . The wait times are long and even then they gave me stale fries . The burger was fantastic as I know shake shack quality . The staff really needs some training on customer interactions .

Shake shake was okay - the fries were not good at all and the burger was just okay . Nothing special. The only good thing I can say is I liked the crispy edges of the burger but would rather have another option.

Absolutely the worst Shake Shack experience ever! For $21, my burger was incorrectly made, coke was watered down, & when I asked for fresh fries as they were cold, had to wait for 20 mins for new fries. When I finally got my food, the nasty horrible employee pictured was no help and taking her sweet time refilling sauce in lieu of completing orders. Skip this establishment at all costs!

Prompt friendly greeting from Wanda. She was so cheery. I'm not familiar with the menu and she was kind and helpful to get me what I wanted. I asked for no sauce on my burger and while it wasn't readily evident on my copy of the receipt, my burger was indeed without sauce. My food was perfect. The fries were hot crispy and salted well but not overly so. It was all excellent. They have some seating space that is shake shack themed as well as the open food court seating. I sat in a booth and had access to a power outlet and was able to charge my phone while I dined. Thank you!

Don't do it if you have a quick connection. We waited for over half an hour for two hotdogs. The line to order wasn't long but holy moly it took forever. Once we got our food it was good but not worth the wait.

I can't believe I am only giving Shake Shack 4 stars, but this happens to be the unlucky location that I tried their breakfast. They only offer 3 breakfast options: sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich; bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich; or egg and cheese sandwich. I opted for the sausage option and the meat was tough and chewy. I've had better breakfast sandwiches at Einstein Bro Bagels. Now besides breakfast....this is gonna be your #1 spot to eat in the airport! Their burgers and cheese fries are SO good. I have never been disappointed at any of the locations I've been to. Y'all are lucky MSP!

I always enjoy their burgers and fries but find their service very slow. It was about a 20 minute wait for my meal though they were fully staffed.

MSP finally has a Shake Shack!!! This brand new location is exactly what you would expect from an airport Shack location...a HUGE menu (including breakfast!!!) of yummy food, as well as super friendly staff. I love their burgers and their breakfast sandwiches, which are both really good. They also have pretty descent drinks too, including good coffee. The new food court seating area is also huge and quite pleasant. If you are passing through MSP, this should definitely be one of your top choices for food any time of the day!

The new food court is really nice and bright but I chose to eat here and it wasn't my favorite. Coming from a place with In-N-Out, this just doesn't compare at all. The burger was put together messily, little sauce. And I ordered cheese fries and I just got a cup of Luke warm cheese that was stiff enough that I could dunk my fries, because they're just mash or break. The crinkle fries were pretty good and the actual burger patty was tasty.

i ordered the shroom burger to try. it came pretty fast and the burger was overall good but the shroom was a little tough and hard to bite off.

This location is in the airport and was pretty busy. We had orders for four people and was able to receive our meal fairly quickly. Burgers were fresh and juicy. If you like beefy burgers I would suggest ordering double (2 patties) SmokeShack Burger was very good. I assumed the peppers will be spicy but they are sweet. Fries are delicious and I love the ShackSauce. They messed up our order. But, they was professional with taking care of us. Customer service was great!

Should've gone anywhere else. Got my shake at the window but then they had me wait 15 minutes for the rest of my order so my shake melted. Also Ordered a shack burger, got a burger with Spicy sauce and bacon?? So over priced for the level of service and quality of food.

Food was actually fine for what you'd expect at an airport burger place. The service, however, was HORRIBLE! The cashier did not even acknowledge our presence and only spoke to give our total. No eye contact, no greeting, just stared straight through us. Then the expediter left our burgers setting until they had to make new fries, rendering them pretty cold. Hot fries, though- that's the best I can say. I WOULD NOT recommend!

Well I have tried Shake Shack in many different cities trying to find what is good about it. Over priced,slow service and wrong orders. This is the last time I will go and only went because of convenience. At MSP Airport this Shake Shack hit all the marks. Not only were they getting my order wrong but the people around me. When I questioned the staff all I got was attitude and "you must go back through the line". That was from the server working 7/25 around 10a. Purposefully leaving her name out. Not personal. Just think about it, there are much better place in all the cities where SS are located. Time to fly

Really? 12 people in the kitchen, joking and having fun, service is mediocre at best and food is overpriced... Not to be recommended

Stopped here for dinner waiting on our connecting flight. No bacon no cheese for the cheese fries. We paid for it but we didn't get any. Stood at the counter to get a refill 4 employees walked past me multiple times without asking if I need something. When I asked for a refill they said we aren't doing refills now. Spend 60 dollars on mediocre burgers and fries and can't get a drink refill.

First successful shake shack experience and would call it better than average. Food was fresh and the to-go packaging was creative. Price for quality and amount of food was fair, even for an airport. The only downside was the speed of service. I counted at least 10 people behind the counter and they must be very specialized in their specific jobs because about half of them seemed to have to work while the rest just yucked it up with their neighbors. 2-3 even had extra time to lean across the counter and chat it up with what appeared to be a co-worker who had already gotten off. As I said, the food was good but not sure good enough for the overall experience and if you're in a hurry, beware.

I fueled up here while waiting for my flight to Paris. Friendly and knowledgeable cashier/order person who was very professional and fast. I place my order for a Double Burger, French fries and a beverage. It took about 12 minutes which is fine, but a little aggravating considering there are 6-8 people behind the counter having a real nice time socializing with each other and at least 1/2 dozen customers looking at each other and waiting on their grub. My food was good. It was hot and tasty and came in recyclable packaging which I noticed NO ONE took advantage of and placed in a nearby recycling bin. It disappoints to see entire families just dump all their recycling in the garbage like it's their very own private landfill at home in the suburbs. Overall, the place was very clean and organized for picking up extra napkins, utensils and condiments. I would neither recommend it or not recommend it. I do know I probably would go to McDonald's next time, of all places, because it's faster and way cheaper. I paid $22 for my solo lunch and felt a little taken advantage of.

wow. just wow. the most pathetic experience possible. i dont even know where to begin. just don't waste your money people. I paid but ended up having to get food at another food kiosk

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I like Shake Shack more than In-and-Out Burger. The burgers and fries have better flavor and the shakes are pretty decent as well. The main downfall is the customer service. Definitely make sure to double check your order because they always seem to make a mistake.
