Shake Shack’s Second Colorado Store Opens Next Week - Eater Denver

"Three months after Denver’s first Shake Shack debuted in RiNo, another outlet of the burger chain is preparing to do business in Highlands Ranch. Shake Shack will open just off C-470, at Lucent Boulevard and Plaza Drive, on July 11. It’s the second of three Denver-area openings of the New York-based brand. Next up will be Shake Shack at Denver International Airport." - Josie Sexton

Best fast food burger in town! Burgers are thick and juicy and not over cooked hockey pucks. I've been twice in the last month and both times blew me away. Today I went and Bryce served us and he was awesome.

Google
The food was amazing as always. It’s about their only saving grace. I wanted to pay cash, so I couldn’t use their self serve Kiosk. I stood at the cash register to place my order for almost 10 mins. Employees passing me to deliver food to tables. Just as I was getting ready to leave, a female came up and said “Hi”. Not can I take your order or anything, just Hi. 😐 So she took my order and said $12.58. I handed her the $.58 and a $20. She puts the change on the counter, spreads it out, flip some over and after a few moments looks at me and says “sorry, I’m trying to do some math.” I politely say, 2 quarters make 50, 55, 56, 57, 58….she accepted it and finished the transaction, but what kind of training is management providing? And what kind of manager puts someone in charge of the cash register that struggle’s to count $.58 in pocket change. And it’s not like I gave a mix of dimes and nickles. It was 2 quarters, 1 nickle and 3 pennies. 🤯 But even though it was expensive for a single patty burger and fries, the food was delicious. I just don’t get management’s decisions or the lack of customer service for ordering.

Google
We love shake shack and we were passing through the Denver area after camping. We went to the highlands ranch location and had phenomenal service and phenomenal food! The restaurant cooked the food to perfection! Everything was hot and delicious! We loved the new bbq chicken and burger. The outside seating area was welcome. Good clean restaurant. Kudos to this location.

Google
I am a regular connoisseur of Shake Shack. I have lived in other states, several cities, and I genuinely love Shake Shack. I’m mostly grateful for a location so close. However, this location misses the mark. The last few times I have eaten here, I have been served the greasiest burgers I have ever been served in my life. I know, burgers are supposed to be greasy, they’re burgers. But grease dripping down my hands and wrists, grease pooled in the bottom of the white burger wrapper, soaking what’s left of my bun to the point that it’s unidentifiable mush…that’s too much. I’ve had burgers here that were just fine, but this seems to have become the norm and what to expect at this location. This place could be so much better if their burgers were more consistent and not overwhelmingly greasy.

Google
Dude. $11 for a burger and you can’t provide fresh lettuce?!?! This is gross. I was going to be leaving an awesome review because the staff that helped me was great! He helped me be able to pay in cash and get our fries in boxes so they were still warm when they got home to the fam. This food is not cheap! So how can you not afford lettuce that isn’t wilted and moldy?!

Google
They consistently delivers quality in every bite, and my experience with their burgers has been nothing short of exceptional. My go-to choice is the Smoke Shack Burger, a delightful combination of perfectly seared beef, smoky bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and a touch of tangy ShackSauce. The balance of flavors is outstanding—each element complements the other, creating a satisfying and crave-worthy burger. Currently, my favorite is their exclusive Black Truffle Burger. This burger takes things up a notch with its rich, decadent black truffle sauce that pairs beautifully with the juicy patty. The earthy truffle notes add a gourmet twist, elevating it beyond the usual fast-food experience. The combination of fresh ingredients and inventive flavors makes Shake Shack a standout in the burger scene. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or looking to try something unique, Shake Shack offers a burger for every palate.

Google
The food came out within five minutes of our order being placed. Everything was cooked perfectly, we even received cold ranch that was cage free for my child’s chicken nuggets. Despite that there was kiosks to self serve they had someone who wanted to take your order and was very helpful and I appreciate that. The whole place was very clean and organized. The shack sauce is really good and can’t be replicated. The burgers were of great quality and kept the whole family full. Every item is individual though which is something to note if on a budget.

Google
Very impressed for my first visit to this location. Placed an order online and within minutes got notification that order was ready for pickup. Burger was hot, fresh and delicious bursting with flavor! Topping my order off with a shake that was delicious! Definitely will be ordering from this store again!! Staff was also very polite and courteous!!

Yelp
They truly make a great burger, fries and shake! The burgers are flavorful and you can taste the quality of the meat. The only drawbacks are the prices, as they are bit higher than most. But, they often offer deals and make it a wonderful treat for my family. Staff is usually very friendly and prompt with orders. It's a 5 star in food quality and taste, but with the prices and the constant push for social agendas that many don't agree with, they are unfortunately a low 4 overall.
google avatar

Yelp
We occasionally enjoy burgers at Shake Shack. The burgers are juicy and love the fries as well. My only complaint is with the ordering method. The kiosks. There's always an issue. Always. Last time we were there it took 10 minutes and finally an actual person to come over and fix the situation. People lined up waiting. That's a problem. Hate that! I know companies are trying to save money by not having to hire more employees, but this is a pain in the a$!.

Yelp
Took away the dairy-free shake. The only reason I was willing to overpay for fast food burger and fries was for the dairy free shakes. Bad choice Shake Shack!

Yelp
I've been to Shake Shack in Highlands Ranch a few times, and it's always good. The burgers hit the spot. I just wish they had one closer to my house. Even though it's a bit of a drive, it's worth it when I want a good burger. Solid place.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
The Castle Rock location is much better than this Highlands Ranch one. Soggy, flavorless fries and sloppy burgers/greasy chicken sandwiches. Won't be back to this Shake Shack.
google avatar

Alexandra D.

Yelp
I can't complain. The food always good and definitely filling. The double SmokeShack was a huge meal on its own and the added chopped cherry peppers, a nice touch with a hint of spiciness. The milkshakes here are very delicious and their new lemonades are a nice finish to wash down every bite. Come visit them and see what your favorite meal is ;)

Yelp
This Shake Shack is closest to me and I've ordered via Uber Eats a couple of times during the pandemic. I recently popped in to order food to-go and had a solid experience! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and it was rather empty which made ordering a breeze. There's also plenty of seating both inside and outside. The outside had heaters and ping pong table which are fun touches! To eat, I finally tried the Colorado specific Green Chile Cheddarshack which comes with shredded white cheddar, marinated green chiles and scallions. It's a great alternative to the regular Smokeshack burger which is my fave. It has just the right balance of heat and was cooked perfectly! We paired our burgers with fries of course. To sip, they had limited edition lemonades and we tried the mango passionfruit one which was tasty! It's always hard to choose between that and a milkshake but this was a good alternative. Overall, everyone was friendly and we had a seamless experience. Would definitely come back when the cravings hit!

Yelp
Greasy floors. Time to scrub the floors. Footprints visible on the grease floor. Raw burgers. Condiments scarce. The burger was so raw the bun was soggy with blood. Same with my companion. Will not eat here again. Water was cold though.
google avatar

Robbie R.

Yelp
Would give this a 3.5/5 but rounding down since there wasn't really anything special and seemed pretty average across the board. Kind of expensive for what it is but still good taste. Ordered the smokeshack which had their special sauce, bacon, and cherry peppers on it. Good heat and taste although wasn't that hot when it came out.

Yelp
Gloomy - rainy today and we were in this area picking up a 100 gal fish ta k that was gifted to us. Stop in for 2 doubles shack burgers. Pricy for a burger that is for sure. First time here at this location. 2 doubles and a straw shake for 25 dollars. Order was quick and the staff is full, now waiting for our burgers . Burgers are small small and disappointing for 10 dollars. I would need 3 doubles to fill me up. Restaurant was clean and contemporary. Burgers was tasty but failed on portion size for the money. If you are hungry and have a big appetite the. This place is not for you. These burgers are for models and supermodels and not for regular people with a normal appetite

Yelp
Service at this location is always fast and friendly, the food is always what we expect: quality and consistency! The staff clean as needed, they're fast, friendly, and it's become our favorite location, despite living much closer to another Shake Shack, which is not up to par. Most recently, I was keen to try the chocolate pie shake so we went to check it out! I got a Shack Burger (excellent as always) and HAD to try the Buffalo cheese fries (de-licious, btw, and we had to split), and of course the chocolate pie shake, which was fine but had some crust pieces that ended up... weird. Some pieces were nice and crunchy, buttery chunks but the smaller pieces were... less appetizing. I much prefer the black & white shake but won't stop trying new items! Wish the Buffalo cheese fries would stay as a permanent fixture on the menu... Keep up the great work!
google avatar

CHAD R.

Yelp
Food was better the last time we went. It had fallen off a bit and we took a long break. It seems like they are getting more consistent with their food. They are on double secret probation right now and could lose a star with another misstep!
google avatar

Yelp
Shake Shack is now my favorite fast-food burger out there. There aren't many locations so it's best to make sure you put in your order ahead of time to make sure you aren't waiting around long. I always get a single shack burger, fries, and a milkshake. I think their seasonal shakes are delicious. During the fall they have a pumpkin shake that is one of my favorite pumpkin-flavored items and now in the winter, I've been ordering the candy cane marshmallow flavor- yum!
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably my favorite Shake Shack location that I have been to. Besides having an actual parking lot for parking, it's very spacious. There are plenty of seats and if you are still practicing social distancing, it's totally possible to do that here. There are outdoor and indoor seating options. I was here at like 2pm so there wasn't a line but I can just visualize that even if there was a line, you wouldn't be cramped because there's a good amount of distance between the counter where you order, the place to pick up, and the dining in area. Food wise, shake shack never disappoints.

Yelp
The Highlands Ranch location is the most consistent of the Shake Shack locations that we've visited. The service is good, staff friendly and they get you sat pretty quickly even if there is a line upon arrival. On this visit we ordered a couple of standard Shack Burgers w/cheese, some of their absolutely scrumptious spicy buffalo cheese fries. So flavorful, and a tasty spice. We also went with their new chocolate pie shakes which for the most part are good. My only gripe was the crumbled pie crust pieces that serve as a topping often have the texture of chewy cardboard. Go with the black & white shake....it's a much better and more flavorful option. Another plus to this location, it's consistently clean even when they're super busy. I can't say that of other locations.

Yelp
I love how people on Yelp say the foor here is expensive...where do you eat...hotdogs at Costco and 7/11 burritos? Burgers in restaurants cost between 16 and 22 dollars...here they charge 6.60 and the food is great, the service is excellent! It is always a pleasurable experience ...keep up the good work!

Yelp
I'm done dealing with SS lack of online tools. For the past 6 month they can't get their mobile or website to take payment...wasting 30 minutes of my time I've ordered . So tonight I went to InNout ...instead...and also will stop going for the next 6 months Fix your sh!t...See ya in June maybe.

Yelp
Had such a tasty lunch here yesterday! I went to the original Shake Shack in NYC years ago so this was a really cool throwback! Now though, I'm a vegetarian, so a lot of the menu is off. But I really wanted to try their Portobello Mushroom Burger. The restaurant was large and well lit. The person at the counter was nice and helpful. The food took a normal time to cook. The burger is really good, slightly oily from the fried mushroom. It feels like something you would get at a fair or carnival. Tasty and very well conceived. They put cheese inside the fried patty as well. Topped with lettuce and tomato, and a fresh bun. Somewhat small for around $8, but very tasty. Fries were good too, just too much cheese sauce for us.

Yelp
Went early Sunday morning to beat the rush that we have seen here before. There were probably 10-12 people already there but no line! We ordered and got our buzzer, found a good table and collected some ketchup, napkins and water. Only a few minutes later and the food was up. I ordered the Hot Chick'n, and the gal at the counter asked hot or extra hot? Now you are talking my language. Extra hot of course! Wife ordered a regular burger with nothing extra, just the veggies. The Hot Chick'n sandwich was interesting looking when I got it. Big piece of white meat that was, I think, beer batter crust. Not the kind you would typically get on breaded chicken, but it was delicious. My wife did not finish her burger so I was able to finish it. She thought it was better than a couple of other local burger joints, and it was good. No ketchup or mustard. The veggies were super fresh. And the fries, we ordered 2 orders, should have just ordered one and shared. But sooo good. Loved them. Ate as many as I could without getting too miserable. So, only one order next time. Looking forward to trying some of their other burgers but as long as they have the Hot Chick'n I might have to order that. I must point out too that they had someone working the dining area asking if you needed anything and was johnny on the spot to clean tables. And the manager was even out from the back a couple of times and asking if everything was good etc. Good customer service.

Yelp
I can not lie. I love shake shack. I love the salty flat top crispy burgers. I love the buns with their little hinge that keeps stuff in. I love their shakes. I love their chicken! Honestly the only thing I don't love is their super boring crinkle cut fries. The HR spot is busy. Tons of teens and little kids, but hey it is the burbs. I do like that they have their coke machine out (the Rino one it is behind the counter and you have ASK for refills). My favorite is the basic shake shack burger (double or single). Then the Denver special Green Chile shack burger. And finally the chick n shack - which feels like an upgraded chik fil a sandwich. Smoke shack burger is too smokey for me, but not bad. Love it! Yes, it is going to cost you, but it is no more than 5 guys. It is what things cost nowadays, so to be me the complaints on cost are unwarranted. It is a great "old school drive thru" type burger.

Yelp
I can shamelessly admit that I've been here twice since this location has opened, just this month. Each time, has been different but great. LOCATION/VIBES: On the northwest corner of Lucent and Plaza, this place is easy to find amongst other new businesses, has ample parking and is brand spanking new! With exposed metal, reclaimed Colorado wood tables and the cutest little patio, the space feels modern, clean and creates a nice flow. The atmosphere is inviting, friendly and exudes chill vibes. Décor is minimal, but modern and showcases its history in New York! SERVICE: Insanely friendly, accommodating and nice! We were promptly greeted, given the run down on ordering, had our beers poured perfectly and trays cleared as soon as we were finished! Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely happy and treated everyone kindly! GRUB: Drool and Instagram worthy! I have yet to try the signature Colorado burger (loaded with green chilies and cheddar cheese), mainly because I'm madly obsessed with the Smoke Shack burger. What's not to love about a deep-fried portabella mushroom atop a cheeseburger?! It's my go-to when dining here, while the hubs prefers the OG Double Shack burger. I'm a sucker for the crinkle fries, which I could easily consume in mass quantities. Everything is made in-house to order, and tastes fresh, delicious and perfectly greasy! Don't forget to grab a beer on tap from Brooklyn Brewery! Got a sweet tooth? Sample one of their signature shakes (chocolate!) shakes for dessert! YUM! PRICE: Ahh, price. Sure, it seems ridiculous to spend $45 on two burgers, fries and beers, but when the food/booze/experience tastes this good - it's entirely worth it. Yes, you'll pay for the brand, and yes, it IS just a burger and fries, but if you're looking for the top of the (fast food) town, this is it! Come hungry, leave happy, and a little more broke - which is exactly what we got! I KNOW I'LL BE BACK!

Logen K.

Yelp
Foods not that grate fries are like what you make at home. No survive at all you have to do everything including clean up. The only good thing is the shakes. No very nice workers either, lazy workers.

Yelp
Never going here again. I am writing this regarding the new Shake Shack in Castle Rock, Colorado. Went through the drive-through for a quick burger (not very often we take the kiddo to fast food, but was wanting to try this place out as a new spot in Castle Rock.) - Asked if they had any kids menu of some kind: "no but we have things that we think kids would like". Ask them what comes on their burgers. "Well we will put cheese on it and bacon and those kinds of things but you have to ask for mustard and ketchup at the window and put it on yourself." You realize I'm in the drive-through right!??? Likely not gonna put on mustard and catch up in the car, but OK. All right, so I order three cheeseburgers three regular fries a small drink for the kiddo and two large drinks for my wife and I (no medium available but that's not bothersome) "ok, that'll be $45.00 even." I replied with a "wow", that's it. You could see even the girl at the drive thru was a little embarrassed about the cost... What?! This is fast food! Pretty damn steep! On a side note, their burgers are the size of a typical kids cheeseburger at any mainstream fast food chain, so the kiddo ate just right. Don't waste your time, or money here. I'd describe it a SMALLER, lest flavorful, Freddy's burger at MUCH HIGHER cost and more work on your part as the consumer, and quite frankly it tasted like it may have been a frozen patty at some point. I attached a picture of the sloppy tiny mess of a cheese burger I got in our meal. Funniest part of this experience was from my four-year-old. "Dad, next time can we just go to Sonic?" I guess they do deserve one star however. After all, they were really friendly and smiled big at the drive through.

Yelp
It's the shake shack you have come to expect -- solid. This is a decent location (good food & service) but the customer to table ratio is WAY OFF. Good luck getting a seat on a weekend during lunch. TIP: The ordering line does move quickly -- so don't walk away if you see the line approach the door. It possible -- visit on a warm day in order to use the outdoor seating.

Yelp
Seriously disappointed in the consistently crappy service this location provides. It's seriously like day and night w highlands ranch compared to castle rock! I wish I still lived in castle rock, so I could continue to go there! Issues with highlands ranch shake shack (and why after today I will NEVER return to this particular location) include: -Tonight the younger gal who was mopping at 8:45pm had to stop mopping to check me out, it was 2 shakes, but her attitude showed me how much she hated my business. She had the NERVE to tell me they do not do Military discounts anymore!!!!! She was too lazy to go get the manager (like they have to in order to discount the order). Completely unacceptable to say something like that! She immediately went back to mopping and the mop water reeked of dirty, nasty oldness (indicating the mop head is filthy). Previously in curbside carry out I was given completely wrong flavors of our shakes and didn't realize it until getting home! Double checked the order and for sure did not get what we ordered! Lastly, several times now the chicken has been cold and old tasting. So darn disappointed!

Yelp
I love this restaurant When ever my dad comes to Highlands ranch we always go to this restaurant. I always get there cheese burger with avocado and a coke. Over all great food and great location.
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
I have been craving Shake Shack for a few months now, I just haven't made my way over until now. I tried the hot honey chicken sandwich. It was alright. The habanero Mayo was not very good... it was a little sweet for my liking that almost ruined the whole sandwich. The fries and milkshake were delicious as always!

Yelp
Great burgers, fries & shakes! Definitely 5 stars for food & service, the reason for 4 stars was that the AC was cranked up & we were freezing inside! I love that Shack uses Martin's Potato Buns for their burgers & their meat is fresh ground from their personal meat provider. I know this cause I've managed a Shake Shack back in Philly for a little bit. Looks like they were doing training when we went, there was 6 team members at the register signing in, and talking a bit loud, so they had to be quieted by the person working the register. Food was piping hot, as expected, and everything was cooked to perfection! Juicy burgers, hot crunchy crinkle cut fries, cold shakes, and fresh sauces for the fries. Great location & large, hop space. Definitely be back, hopefully the AC won't be so cold. UPDATED 7/7: Went back to SS & happy to say that the temperature in the restaurant was conducive to the temperature outside. A great dining experience & their food is always on point! Thank you Jacci for making sure we had a great experience!

Nicole K.

Yelp
No longer put take out food in to-go boxes? Food gets cold immediately stop being cheap and re-order your boxes.
google avatar

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Greasy AF! There was so much grease that the bottom of the bun was soaked and soggy. I got the smoke burger and the cherry peppers were a nice touch, but that's about it. Also its overpriced. Two burgers 2 drinks and a small fry was 30 bucks. I wouldn't recommend this place. Edit: just ate there again. Never again. While the food did look better this time and way less grease... i immediately got sick right after eating here.
google avatar

Lynne A.

Yelp
Super overpriced average hamburger. Up charge for everything. French fries were aok tho- won't be back.
google avatar

Debbie R.

Yelp
Love their burgers. Fries, to me, are so-so. But the burgers - OMG!! Super good. And the shakes . . don't even get me started. Salted Caramel Shake for the win. They serve alcohol here too for a nice alternative to the usual soft drink/tea choices offered by other burger joints. Only drawback to this location is the lack of adequate seating. Very little indoor seats, but there are tons of outdoor seats - not so nice when its 30 degrees outside.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
Ordered through the app for curb-side. When I arrived,on-time, I pressed the "I'm here" button and proceeded to wait for 15 minutes. No one approached my car. I finally called the number and when someone answered they immediately found my order and brought it out. I asked the guy, does the I'm here button not work? He said "I dunno...it's finicky". Then I had to run back in because there was no straw for my shake either. By the time I got home the food was luke warm. I wonder how long it had been sitting there....
google avatar

Ian H.

Yelp
Expensive and greasy. The location itself also seemed dirty. The tables were not wiped down, food left over from other patrons. On the plus side the staff was friendly to us. I don't think I will be returning.
google avatar

Kal C.

Yelp
So good still. Especially during these times the pick up is on point. Always busy so I suggest ordering ahead to get your order quickly and so you don't have to go in. Thank you to the Shake Shack staff. You guys are crushing it.
google avatar

Gabrielle V.

Yelp
Service was timely and friendly but the food is disappointing. It was just nothing memorable. The burger and chicken sandwiches had nothing special about them. I will never be returning. Very disappointing as a meal but it was good service and the food was edible. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
What should you get at a a "shake" shack?! A shake of course. But here comes me ordering a concrete instead. Guess what?! It was amazing too! I got the peach pie concrete and it had the consistency of peach pie á la mode. Every bite came with pie crust as well as peach. This showcased that simply adding an actual pie to a concrete makes the whole concrete burst with flavor consistent with that of the original pie. I also got green Chile cheddarshack burger tasted good. But as you get to know me, coming from New Mexico, I am a green chile snob. The green chile had barely any spice to it. It seemed also as if I was just eating more pieces of lettuce. Don't get me wrong the overall burger was good. The service was fast and received my order with 5 minutes of ordering. I would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Randy B.

Yelp
We haven't been over for a while, but we were disappointed this time. They still have one person in the purchase line, and it is slow. The portabella mushroom burger was way overcooked. A disappointing experience. Not worth the money.
google avatar

Phantom A.

Yelp
Shake Shack is more like 3.5 stars. It was a good burger with a decent amount of flavor. My chosen burger was the Smoke Shack. It had decent flavor and a nice amount of bacon. Cheese fries and a cookies and cream shake made it a meal. Not bad.
google avatar

JT T.

Yelp
Shake Shack!!! I love shake shack..... this location is fairly new. Everything is clean and efficient. I ordered the double Green Chile ChedderShack and bacon cheese fries. Probably enough calories for the whole day.... but it's shake shack!!! Definitely not cheap for a burger but it tasted fresh and flavorful! Patties were cooked perfectly and were juicy. Green Chile was pretty good but it wasn't too spicy. The bacon cheese fries were only ok.... I was expecting a lot but it wasn't amazing. So they messed up on my order. I ordered a double but they only gave me a single. I mentioned it to them and they told me to keep the single and they would bring me out a double. Pretty awesome customer service. Everyone makes mistakes but it's how you handle them! Overall, Shake Shack is always good. The Green Chile burger was good but my favorite is the Smokestack. I would skip the bacon cheese fries and go with a concrete (probably the glazed donuts one, sounds amazing) next time.

Yelp
Right on the big sign it says FROZEN CUSTARD and guess what they do not have? Frozen Custard. It is even still posted on the menu. False advertisement. Update please.

Yelp
My daughter is sick at the children's hospital and I order for delivery, but my order takes a long time to arrive and is incorrect when I try to call and find out what happened, the system sends me to voicemail, the food is looks good and can be really good if the order was correct. Is very hard when you have to depend on others and with my kid is sick.

Yelp
Shake Shack has arrived in Highlands Ranch! If you live in the south burbs, this is much closer to Littleton than it is Parker, and it's in the same parking lot as Torchy's where all the new restaurants are out there. I've long been a Shake Shack fan, and I'm thrilled to have this location open a little closer to me. Compared to the RiNo location, this location is bigger and has more outdoor seating. They also have grape Fanta, which is a pretty rare find in a restaurant these days. I had the ShackStack today, which comes with a cheesy fried mushroom on top of the burger. The cheese came oozing out at steaming hot temperatures like it's supposed to (that's why you get a Caution: Hot! sticker on your food), and my crinkle cut fries were on point as usual. I know that we've all been scarred by elementary school cafeteria crinkle cuts, but don't let that scare you away from Shake Shack's. If you've never been to the Shack, here are a few things to know: - You'll pay more than $10/person. Whether it's the a la carte burger and fries setup, or you get a shake, it's going to happen. Prepare yourself. - This is not supposed to be at the same price point as Taco Bell or McDonalds. With its NYC roots, it's more of a Smashburger or Super Duper (if you've been to San Francisco) than it is a Jack in the Box. If smashburger is overpriced to you, this isn't going to be your spot. - The burgers are among the best semi-fast food burgers that you've ever had. I'd argue that it isn't fast food. - Like In N Out, it takes a little longer to get your food than a McD's or Carl's Jr, so consider this something in between a sit down restaurant and a fast food place when it comes to time. - The concretes and shakes are great! - In Colorado, the burger with green chili is our special burger. They don't carry it in Shake Shack's out of state (but I'd still personally do the ShackStack). - If you get the ShackStack, be careful! As Uncle Jesse's cousin once said on Full House, "The cheese is hot." Ultimately, this is a Shake Shack with a good amount of seating, delicious burgers, plenty of parking, and it's made the south burbs a little bit cooler.

Yelp
Wow have I missed Shake Shack! As someone from the Northeast, I always explain to my friends that Shake Shack blows In N Out out of the water. The chicken is juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. The burgers are ginormous and flavorful. The fries are crispy and always cooked perfectly. Shack Shack is however on the pricier side for a fast food place, $40-$45 for 3 meals.

Yelp
To be fair they haven't been open long and mistakes happen. We ordered online a couple of burgers, two shakes and fries. Over $35, ouch! Service was chaotic and our online order didn't go thru even though it appeared to. We ordered again hoping we weren't double charged. When we got home and opened the bag the fries were missing, but instead we got a small surprise order of chicken nuggets which were quite tasty. Cheeseburgers were kinda small but good, shake was just like those from the Golden Arches. So good enough, but a bit pricey. One more thing, the traffic circles up there when crowded are scary dangerous and I will avoid that area around dinnertime.

Yelp
We were introduced to this while we lived in New York and I was delighted to see it came to Colorado. The burgers are flavorful, juicy, and IMO rival In-n-Out. The taste is just the bomb. The cheesy fries are fantastic and you can go wrong with a shake to seal the deal (until you step on a scale--just don't). My hubby tried the mushroom cheeseburger and it was amazing. That huge mushroom fried with cheese and placed on a burger (or you can order just the shroom burger)...to die for. Can we get one in Castle Rock please?

Yelp
Uh shhhhheeyeahhhh bruh! I love this place. I don't like to just always follow the trends, but then again I just have to disprove people if they are wrong about a hot food spot. This is just that. A hot food spot. It speaks to everyone of my cravings.... Feeling like something covered in cheese. Mexican? Nope. Get a side of fries with cheese sauce. Want a juicy piece of beef. Steak? Nah. A double shack burger. The bun is everythinnnnnggg and makes these burgers! And what about that sweet tooth? They speak to that too. Concrete (ice cream) options as well as..... you guessed it. SHAKES! I must say, the chocolate shake is WAYYYYY too chocolatey. Avoid this one. But the black and white is a creamy delicious dream. Also, shack sauce is almost a sriracha aioli type concoction. Get extra! And for all the people giving less stars because it is crowded... it is new and popular. You know what you are getting into. BUT, if you download the app and order ahead of time, they text you when your order is ready and you get to skip the line. So take note, don't be a debbie downer, and if you don't like crowds... make a picnic of it and get take out!

Yelp
As good as the food looks as I am getting ready to drive home to eat it, I am worried that it won't make it there in one piece or be warm still . No lid for the fries or chicken sandwich I ordered to go. Just placed in an open box. I am crossing my fingers it isn't all over the bag, or my car, and is still warm by the time I get home to enjoy it. Let's hope the taste of the food makes up for poor packaging... if it even makes it home.

Yelp
Word to the wise: don't preorder shakes because you will get warm soupy ice cream. It seems to me that It would make sense to make shakes when people show up for their order, not in advance. $10 wasted. :( Service was quick and I always enjoy the food though.
