"Shake Shack, the other cultishly beloved burger chain that’s been rolling out locations throughout the U.S., appears to be coming to Portland at long last. DJC Oregon reports that a site plan sporting Shake Shack signage has been filed with the Bureau of Development Services for a location across the street from Powell’s Books and next to the Living Room Theaters. Per DJC, the submitted plan calls for two outdoor patio areas — including one uncovered one with “terraced seating” and “fixed ping-pong table” — as part of a 4,976-square-foot space that’ll presumably offer Shake Shack’s familiar menu of burgers (always on Martin’s potato rolls), cheese fries (crinkle cuts only), concretes (blended frozen custard), and ShroomBurgers (don’t sleep on the ShroomBurgers). Founded by NYC restaurateur Danny Meyer in 2001 as part of his Union Square Hospitality Group, Shake Shack now has locations in 30 states and 15 countries: 275 in total worldwide by the end of 2019. SEC filings from December 2019 noted the brand would unsurprisingly open up to 25 new company-owned locations, including some new markets like Indianapolis and Sacramento, locations though Portland were not explicitly on that list. It’s unclear when the new Shack would open, particularly on a timeline impacted during the novel coronavirus pandemic. (Currently, Shake Shack locations across the country are operating on a to-go-only model.) But those 2019 SEC filings indicated that “a typical Shack takes between 14 and 20 weeks to build.” Eater has reached out to Shake Shack representatives for more information about opening timeline." - Erin DeJesus

Food was made fresh and easy to order on the screens provided. It's downtown next to other shops and restaurants. We sat outside in the evening and it was really nice to people watch. One of the best chicken sandwiches I had eaten in a long time.

Google
This is by far the bast Shake Shack in or around the Sacramento area! The staff is always polite, takes care of their customers, and keep the place looking spotless—even during peak hours. Oh, and the food is delicious! P.S. Danica is one of the employees there, and she is a rockstar of an employee!

Was really excited to try Shake Shack for the first time after hearing about it for years. Always heard it compared to In-N-Out, with many of it's faithful saying it was better. Again, really pumped to give it a try. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad, would definitely have it again. But I didn't think it was nearly as flavorful as In-N-Out, or cooked as well. I also think Smash Burger is better, at least than this experience. I like their fries and shakes better for sure. But the main star just didn't match up. Would also say that the grilled cheese was horrible. I have never seen a grilled cheese that thin in my life. Quesadilla's are thicker! I'm definitely going to try again. Often times the first experience can be lessened by high expectations, which I certainly had. Also might have been an off day in the kitchen (short staffed or inexperience). So I'll try again and hope for better. But it's not bad, just not up to the hype or it's competition.

From the beginning everyone was so helpful and informative. Kaleo was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of the whole time we were here. They did have a transiet wonder into the store but they noticed immediately and there team worked together to quickly resolve this. They even sanitized all surfaces this person touched/put trash on. The manager even came by to introduce herself and make sure we were all good. I will always come back to this location because of the AMAZING service. You literally never find service on this level a lot of the time I will never forget my experience. My daughter who is 6 says she wants wants come back here everyday. Thank you to this team!

Staff immediately welcomed me as soon as I walked in. Ordering at the kiosk is super easy and quick. Food arrived quickly & ingredients were fresh as always. The staff member that delivered my food was so kind & offered to grab utensils for me. Danica, another staff Member was making rounds in the dining area to check on guests & anticipating their needs. She approached my table to check if I needed anything and offered to refill my drink. She is very friendly and warm!

Google
Gluten free buns for only 99 cents more!! Can also do lettuce wrap. Lots of drink options, i like the seasonal teas etc. The fries have Gluten fyi

Google
This burger was pitiful. Only two small tomatoes, two small pieces of onion and a quarter of a piece of lettuce. No sauce on the burgers or the side for the two that requested. Parm/ truffle fries was smaller than the regular order and costs more. Disappointed

Google
They let us eat food from a place next door. Its weird that more places dont do this. Food was good and their lemonade was decent. Nothing to complain about. Although the fooseball table had some missing players we still had fun using it

Yelp
I'm thankful Shake Shack has made itself at home at the Ice Blocks. Sacramento is packed with great options for burgers around town and sometimes you just have that certain craving that only some places can satisfy. This time that craving was Black truffle burger. I was really impressed with the flavor loaded in every bite. The patty was cooked perfectly. Aesthetically maybe she's a little sloppy looking but honestly I'm for it. I loved the Gruyère cheese to go with the black truffle. I got the garlic Parmesan topped fries because why not?? I've mostly gotten my food to go here and service has always been good and my order has been correct. It's a chill scene offering seating inside and outside on the blocks.

Sarah T.

Yelp
I don't usually eat fast food, but Shake Shack got me at Black Truffle. I ordered the single Black Truffle Burger with black truffle Parmesan fries, and they were so good! I was surprised by how much truffle was in the sauce. Will definitely come back for this burger. In addition, I came in on a Sunday and when you spend $10 or more, you can bring a friend to enjoy the Chicken Shack for free. Such a wonderful deal, I just cannot pass up. The Sunday deal is only good until 12/15/24, so you know where I'll be next Sunday. Give code "ChickenSunday" to the person at the register and they can enter the promo from their side for you.

April S.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Shake Shack! The food was delicious, and I'm happy they offer options for people who don't eat meat. The service was good, and the ambiance was great--very welcoming and comfortable.

Manny L.

Yelp
I came here after eating across the street and I was craving a good milkshake. I want to return and try the burgers! I got the cookies n cream milkshake and wow AMAZING SHAKE! Perfect consistency, my friend got the chocolate and loved it. When you enter they have kiosks for self ordering and paying and then they shout your name at the pick up counter. They have seating inside for convenience or take it to go. Overall good experience and I'll be back!

Yelp
Friday, 4/12/2024 - We ate at Shake Shack for dinner. 1st time here. Address is 1710 R St, Ste 190, Sacramento, CA 95811 (Midtown). Thought we try a different burger place. Parking is limited. But we got parking right away since we came a little early. It's paid parking. So make sure you know your license plate. Upon arrival... Pros 1) they had a few different games in there to keep you entertained while waiting. 2) there were kiosks to order your own foods or you can go up to the cashier and order there too. 3) menus were nice and large posted on the wall next to self-order kiosks. 4) If you drink alcohol, there is a wine and beer menu. 5) there are seating outside and inside. 6) staffs were nice. 7) Cheese burger was good (i liked the ground beef), the Spicey Korean BBQ Cheese Fries were good, & hotdog was good. 8) they have a counter you can get water. Water tasted good. The ketchup, plastic utensils and napkins were on the same counter. 9) there was a little, cute art wall where people colored or drew something and was hung up. 10) it didn't take too long to get our foods. Cons 1) we tried to find a table to sit inside. 4 tables and all were dirty. So we went and sat outside. The outside table was clean. 2) Conclusion I liked this little burger place. They have a nice menu of selections. Lots of tables to sit indoor or outdoor. Foods were all good. I liked how the bun on the cheeseburger wasn't just all bread. It was a good blend. There's games to play with your group of people. I liked that you can order yourself at the self-ordering kiosks and take a number or go to the cashier and order that way.

Yelp
I really enjoy the burgers and fries at Shake Shack. I love the brioche bun that the burgers come on. My favorite burger is just a classic add pickles and raw onions with a side of crinkle cut fries. The only downside is the price. I think for what it is, it's super pricy but why does it taste so dang good?

Erica T.

Yelp
I will start here. My second Shake Shack experience was better than the first at the Emeryville location. I decided to give Shake Shack another try since I was in the area and a little hungry. Long story short, I'm glad I did. The Customer Service was much better than at the Emeryville location, and I enjoyed my cheeseburger. I will return to this location and try one of their milkshakes next time, but only with someone to share it with. Too many calories to enjoy solo.

Anson T.

Yelp
First timer and it wasn't great. The restaurant smelt sour of mildew or throw up right when we walked in but it looked clean. Men's restroom had no hand soap. Women's restroom did but my wife said it felt watered down. Service was good. No complaints there. We ordered shake burger and their nuggets. Burger was good 7/10. Nuggets were salty 1/10.

Fiji D.

Yelp
One of the worst services i had in my life server name Isabella they never apologize laugh about it and disrespect the customers shake shack is one of my top 5 burger place now because of the way they treated us we will never be visiting here. im also a content creator with over 500k subscribers this is just horrible i dont wanna put the company down because of some disrespectful employee! please fix that place ! thanks.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Great place to hang out and grab a bite. While you wait they have some games like Jenga and shuffle board. I ordered the Cheese Fries and ShackBurger. Quick and excellent service.

Stacey T.

Yelp
We've been here several times and it's always great to stop by for burger and fries - this place definitely satisfy the cravings! Their burgers are really good - it's the grilled flavor for me... and the crinkle cheese fries... need I say more? The staff here are always friendly and service is fairly quick and smooth. The facility is clean and I enjoy the option the order from the self-ordering stations when you arrive. Parking can be tough to find sometimes but there is a parking lot next to Philz Coffee.

Savannah R.

Yelp
I visited Shake Shake on Wednesday, 01/03/24, for an early dinner. I decided to order the Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Golden State Double burger. I loved the taste of both sandwiches and the quality of the meat was wonderful. The Hot Chicken tasted amazing, especially with the Ranch. The food also came out quickly, which I truly appreciated. What I liked about this location was the offering of games. There were a few options available such as Jenga, Table shuffleboard, and Foosball. The staff members were very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom and the entire restaurant in general were clean and well-kept. Overall, this Shake Shack location is great and I would return here whenever I am in the area.

Yelp
We have eaten at the Las Vegas location & decided to stop by for lunch yesterday & we both got hotdogs with cheese sauce, French fries & a shake. You order online & they bring your food to you. Our hotdogs were delicious. Grilled perfectly & tucked inside a yummy grilled bun. The crinkle fries were nice & crispy with just enough salt. My husband enjoyed his vanilla shake as well. They have plenty of seating inside & out. We were able to eat outside with our dog which is a plus for us! The server was great. She brought out our food, water & plenty of napkins. We will be back!

Yelp
Tried Shake Shack for the first time. I ordered a Shack Burger (double) and it was really good. The bun is soooo soft and the patties and toppings were high quality. I also tried the chicken shack and that was really good as well. I personally liked it better than Chick-Fil-A but can't go wrong with either one. The only thing I was unhappy with were the chicken bites. They were extremely overcooked to the point that the inside was the texture of rubber. They were completely inedible and impossible to even chew. Even if they were cooked properly I still wouldn't get them again for the price of $8.79 for 10 of them but these were basically throwing $9 down the drain. I came here from Antelope on a Sunday and it was pretty easy to get too. I rarely ever drive downtown unless I have to go to the Mercy hospital for work and I've never been to midtown so all things considered it was worth the drive to try something new. They have regular parking spots along the store fronts as well as a small parking lot that was $1.75 for 20 minutes. Next time I go downtown for work I'll definitely make sure to stop by.

Meena P.

Yelp
First time trying Shake Shack through Doordash, and it was OKAY. For now, that is..... I ordered two chickens sandwiches, a milkshake, and chocolate frozen custard. The chicken sandwiches are nothing to scream or write about in my opinion, I mean, it was hot and fresh, but there just wasn't any taste or flavor for me. I had to add my own sauces to make it taste worthy. And I had ordered a plain chicken shack for my brother, and for me, I ordered a chicken shack, and I added tomatoes, onions, and Shack Sauce. And it was just OKAY. Now that don't get me wrong, the frozen custard was SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD! It was THICK and CREAMY! You can totally tell the difference between that versus regular ice cream and frozen yogurt. It was thick and delicious. It took me a couple of days to eat that double scoop. But it was so worth it! The reason for 4 stars is because the food was hot and fresh, packaged well, and the frozen custard was just AMAZING! Next time, I will go in personally and have their burgers and fries, and we may just move up a star! ;0)

Yelp
The restaurant itself has about 10-12 tables/booths, a foosball machine in the center, and order stations on both ends. It's located in a cute lil section of Sacramento. I always get the 'shroom burger instead of beef, but since I was in California I thought I'd try the namesake, "Golden State" burger. It comes as a double, but you can customize, so I opted for a single. It was juicy and seasoned well. The side of cheese fries were delicious as always, however, I prefer my cheese on the side so I can dip. Pricing was standard for Shake Shack.

Ryan R.

Yelp
This Shake Shack location is in the heart of the Ice Blocks and it keeps the hipster vibe inside the location as well. I ordered the double shack burger and a side of their limited spicy fries. The burger was very juicy and the condiments included was good. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. My only gripe is that the prices are a bit too high for what you get. The food overall was delicious though. The service was quick after ordering from the kiosk and we were checked in on by the workers promptly.

Aaron A.

Yelp
This location is great! From the friendly team to the hot fresh burgers, this Shake Shack knows what they're doing. Although it's not as cheap as In N Out, I always find myself coming back here to hit my flavor cravings. The ice block area is also a great place to hang out, many eateries and options near this place. Just have to pay for parking. Overall, having been to numerous shake shacks across the county, this location is a great place to try this franchise.

Bob R.

Yelp
Everything was good and nice staff. My only con was the hotdog was really hard to bite into. The casing on the dog was tough. I think they need to take the hotdog off the menu. The only toppings were ketchup and mustard. Why serve a hotdog when you can't get relish or maybe chili?

Angela D.

Yelp
I have been the store in the ice blocks many times. Today I noticed several dogs in the restaurant including a large dog and a small on in a stroller which the woman pulled out to sit on her lap at the table. I asked for the manager and let him know this and he was incredibly sarcastic and rude. Uncalled for and generally shows a very poor service attitude.

Jose Z.

Yelp
The food was delicious definitely repeat . Service was fast less than 15 from order to takeout . The place look very cool and chill vibes from everyone there.

Terry P.

Yelp
Great food every time I go here hamburgers great fries great shakes great everything here is great

Audrey B.

Yelp
Price is outrageous. $14.50 for a burger and fries? I'll build a farm instead. That's insanity. I wanted to like you guys, but lower your prices or get out of here!

Joseph S.

Yelp
It's good, but it ain't $20 good. Look at the picture, it's ridiculous. You can get a better meal for the same price down the street.

Athena M.

Yelp
I ordered their shroom burger and I'd have to say 10/10. It was so tasty!! It's a Crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. I also ordered a side of fries 4/10.. I'd say their fries aren't the best. No taste to them just blah. And to top it off I ordered their black and white shake. 6/10 I personally didn't care to much for it.. but my kids loved it so you guys should give it a try who knows you guys may love it! Next time I'm definitely going to try their lemonade that looked delicious. 10/10 for their Service & the inside of the restaurant. The inside was clean and the service was quick. Also finding a parking spot was easy (came here on a Tuesday around 1ish)..

Vic C.

Yelp
This Shake Shack location can be found in Midtown Sacramento. Parking available is metered. My husband and I decided to check out this location and made an online order via the app. We ended up purchasing: ShackBurger (Single Patty), $6.89 prior to tax- We both ended up both picking out a Shack burger. My burger came with a slice of tomato, lettuce and a slice of cheese on a potato bun. I actually did not consume my burger until the next day. I reheated my burger in a microwave at the hotel I was staying at and it was actually pretty good. I felt like the burger was comparable to In N Out but way more expensive. The burger was a good size for me and I felt satisfied. But it is a bit expensive for a burger and not sure if I would purchase again. My husband really liked his burger and ate it right after we picked it up. ------------------------- (Total= $14.98 after tax) After I had ordered my burger, I went inside and was able to pick up my burger right away. I was surprised that there is a foosball table and a giant Jenga block set inside to play with. There is also another fun game that you can plan when you come, in addition with plenty of seating inside. There is also covered outdoor seating as well. If you need to use the restrooms, you need to ask the employees at the front for the code.

Susan R.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. I ordered online for a pick up. It was ready right when it said it would be. I got the cheeseburger and an iced tea The burger was delicious as was the tea. Can't wait to come back and try something new!

javier b.

Yelp
Underwhelmed by the overpriced bland food. Basic burger was small, buns fall apart, crinkle fries are ok, a large coke is almost $5, and not self serve. Basic burger at In N Out and Habit are many times tastier and more satisfying. Nice clean place, looked like dining room opens up on a mild day. Ambiance just doesn't make up for the cost, paying for parking, disappointing food if you're coming just for lunch.

Dori N.

Yelp
I was excited to get to Shake Shack, I can't wait for the new Folsom location to open. My Korean chicken sandwich was great, the cheese fries were good, but not super hot. I was mostly disappointed that they couldn't make the special advertised "coffee & donut" milkshake. They said they didn't have the syrup to make it. Restaurant is always clean and staff are courteous. Sad about my milkshake.

Britney B.

Yelp
Food is always fresh when I come here and service is quick. The chicken sandwich was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Would most definitely recommend and get again.

Belinda C.

Yelp
I love the looks and the Midtown location of this Shake Shack in the Ice Blocks. It is near the 19th St Safeway plaza and Salt & Straw. From my graphic design classes, I can appreciate the simplicity and effectiveness of Shake Shake's burger logo as a green neon sign. This Shake Shack would be a fun place to chill with friends if you are lucky enough to access either the giant Jenga tower, foosball table, or shuffleboard table. Even not, it is spacious, clean, and well-lighted enough to hang out and chat. You do need a passcode to access the restrooms. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night around 9:30 PM, strangely enough. My friend recently sent me the "Eat This, Not That!" list of the best fast food burgers chosen by celebrity chefs. It contained many errors (In N Out's Double Double was listed 3 separate times), so I should not have trusted it. Clearly, the health-conscious author hasn't been to In N Out! The Smoke Shack and Shack Stack burgers were named, so I thought I'd give Shake Shack a go. A SmokeShack is a cheeseburger with cherry peppers, applewood smoked bacon, and ShackSauce (Shack sauce). Because I already had something to eat, I only ordered a single, but I overheard an employee recommending to order a double, so you could taste the meat. Hmm, not a good sign. I should have heeded the advice. *** TIP: Order a DOUBLE if you are a burger-loving adult. *** Burger looked yummy. Bacon was great, but I highly disliked the diced cherry peppers, which are supposed to taste mildly spicy and sweet. However, their sour taste dominated the entire burger. It was like a pickled relish. I kept wondering if the cherry peppers were pickled, but an employee told me that they were only chopped. Unhappy spending over $10 and adding a tip for this burger. However, I still have hope there might be something else I would enjoy eating here.

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Located in the Midtown area, shake shack decent. I like how the place was clean, bright, and had different game areas for kids and adults. There's also ample seating both inside and outside. The outside has a covered area and the restaurant is surrounded by other eateries and shopping places along with condos/apartments above. The burgers are decent however, I still prefer In & Out. Shake Shack was nothing special IMHO. The fries also I wasn't too much of a fan of, maybe I just like In & Out fries better! But bc the place was clean and the customer service was good, especially on a busy Saturday, they get 4 stars from me! Will I be back? Perhaps, I've already gone here a couple of times.

Make'da J.

Yelp
I love their burgers! Wish they were bigger but that's ok! Fries are delicious as well!

Allen V.

Yelp
Price: $$$ Food: 6.5/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Dishes tried: Korean bbq double cheese burger (add garlic aioli) Spicy korean bbq fries Soda Side of ranch Shake Shack, while a staple burger franchise and slight rarity in the golden state of California, still continues to disappoint me every time I have it. Granted, I've never had Shake Shack in the East Coast so that experience might be different. All my dishes with a soda came out to well over $20 and on an empty stomach, was still left not full, but content. I would expect at least to spend that much for a burger and "meal" (they don't do meals at Shake Shack) to be stuffed or at least have left overs. The korean bbq burger wasn't too bad. The flavor was there, but was too mild for my liking. However, adding the garlic aioli to the burger was a definite boost and increased my enjoyment of what would have been a subpar and expensive small burger. The spicy korean bbq fries were nowhere near spicy nor had any korean bbq flavor at all. The korean dipping sauce that came with it was also lacking in any flavors I would think of (soy sauce, gochujang, gochugaru, kimchi, bulgogi, sesame, etc.). Instead, the fries had a mild seasoning like a non-salted Lawry's seasoning salt and the korean bbq dipping sauce tasted more like a vinaigrette. Thankfully, I had some ranch one of my friends gave me and it saved the day. Their ranch is amazing! I would put it a notch below or at the same level as Wing Stop ranch but for different reasons. I will say the highlight of this establishment is the customer service. While most ordering happens at one of four of the ordering terminals, I decided to order up front in person because I couldn't add the garlic aioli I wanted to on my burger from the terminal. The worker that helped me was very quick, polite, patient, and not to mention, positive about helping. This atmosphere of customer service definitely comes from the great attitudes of the employees and permeates the establishment. While being seated outside, one of the workers came along often to help clear our finished foods and even brought us an extra ranch upon asking, which isn't something I would expect from a fast service restaurant. My friend's gave her a great review afterwards. Overall, I would say the quality and portion of the food for the price here is extremely not worth it unless you're in here for the novelty and want to try a popular chain that's not to common on the west coast. If there is something you should get while here, at least get that garlic aioli on your burger and some fries with a side of ranch! And treat the workers here as great as they treat you!

Jessica B.

Yelp
What's not love about Shake Shack, everything they have is delicious! This location makes it even better! I love visiting the Ice Blocks so you don't have to twist my arm to eat anywhere near here. Every time we have eaten at Shake Shack our meal has been great. Burgers made hot and fresh. We love the crinkle French Fries and the milkshakes are always a special treat. If you haven't tried Shake Shack yet, I highly recommend!

Fernando L.

Yelp
It wont happen ever again, will never order food from this place, mu ten year old sister can make a better burger, Burger king wouldve been better, shame on them for charging so much fir a piece of shit burger, a joke thats what it is.

Mali T.

Yelp
Service was amazing here. You ordered on a little kiosk or iPad looking kinda device. Easy to order, pick a table number and find a table. They have outside and indoor seatings. A few games like a foosball, Jenga and coloring books with crayons are available. So kids friendly for sure. Food was absolutely delicious however, portions are small and there are no combos.

Michelle T.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with shake shack! I've gone here a few times already and each time was a good time. The shackburger was delicious and juicy. I love the dragonfruit lemonade. I also got the strawberry limenade last time but it wasn't on the menu this time sadly. That drink was so good, I hope it comes back some time in the future.

John

Yelp
1st time ive been here got a double avocado bacon with a milk shake and fries. i ended up spending 31 dollars and change. Prices are crazy but i thought it would be worth it. I got my food good service brought it up to my table and asking if i needed anything else. But then the food fries were cold taste like i ate a frozen one. those fries cost way to much for them to be that bad. burger wasn't even that good I was honestly disappointed. wasn't bad though but way to much money for what u get.

Deniece B.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and the service was fast. I like that you can order on a screen instead of with a person. The food was okay. I ordered the Golden State single and the patty was juicy, the bun was buttery, but couldn't taste the aioli sauce. The fries are great! I love crinkle cut fries. Next time I'll try the shakes. Parking could be difficult, but we got lucky!

Dora M.

Yelp
Food more oily food here than other spots, very drafty place bring a light jacket, food quality basic, fun games to play, clean, outdoor seating.

Allie T.

Yelp
Shake Shack is 100% awesome. No questions asked. After my family and I got off the Sacramento Airport on Monday from a San Diego trip, we decided to have Shake Shack for lunch since it was on the drive back home. We ordered via the app and everything was smooth-sailing. My dad and older sister got the bourbon burger, I got a shroom burger (vegetarian option) and I can't remember what other burgers we got. We also got cheese fries and regular fries. I got to say, these fries are better than In N Out fries. As for drinks, I got a sprinkle cookie shake (with just the right amount of sweetness), my sister got the oreo cookie funnel cake shake and my dad got a chocolate malt. An employee by the name of Drew was super nice. He asked us how we were doing and he wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal during our time there. He asked if we wanted sauces for our fries and we got ketchup and honey mustard. Next time my family and I are coming back here for sure. 100%

Nicole S.

Yelp
Had dinner here at 6:45 on a Wednesday. It wasn't busy, and the food was ready quickly. The burger was too salty for my taste. So much so, I don't think I'd order it again. The fries were fine, just basic crinkle fries. The restaurant was clean, though, and the staff were nice. I'd try something else next time for sure

Mary Ann F.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite burger place! My first experience was at the Washington Park location in New York. Since that visit 20+ years ago I always make it a must stop when I travel. I was thrilled that Sacto had one on our way home from Discovery Bay. We had a good friend meet us for lunch there. It's fun to see how each one is decorated since these are a franchise business model. I've seriously thought about doing one here in Reno but I doubt a lot of New Yorkers live here and there is a ton of competition with all sorts of burger joints! In my opinion when the menu starts getting more and more different items the quality of the original burgers goes downhill. I can remember when Mac's got salads and then the menu became so saturated with a ton of different menu items. I see this happening with many of these burger chains and it's sad. I feel like pick a lane and try to stay there. The meat on the burger here is top notch and the bun reminds me of brioche. It's so yummy! I really wanted to get 2 but this time I got the shake... I never get the fries because one of my pet peeves is when they are undercooked. I like that they are crinkle cut but I get weary of asking them to cook them crispy because they usually just don't. This place is always so busy... we arrived shortly after they opened so we got seating outside with our pup and got our order fast. They also gave me water for the dog, love that. This location was a very hip area in town, there were a lot of high end shops and great parking. I will be coming back next time I come to Sacramento.

Yelp
I love Shake Shack. The best burger I ever ate was the Black Truffle burger. I pray that burger returns because it was top tier. Everything else on the menu is very good just wish the prices weren't that high but oh well I eat it once in a while.

Yelp
Service is great! The cheese sauce, on the other hand, was not! Ordered 2 fries, one with cheese sauce, two burgers and a drink. $35! Pricey for a place with 'shack' in its name. The burgers were very good, but that's it. They are also very small. Made me think of White Castle without the 6 pack. Fries are basic and don't try to fancy it up with the cheese sauce because it was flavorless and nasty all in one. The service is amazing! Smiles, greetings, and stopping by your table to see if you need anything is all included. They have some games to play while you wait and the establishment is super clean. I'm not a fan, but try it for yourself. :)

Yelp
We tried Shake Shack while hanging out at the ice blocks, and we figured why not? We didn't have a lot of expectations going into it, and I don't think it's anything we'll be dying to have again. However, it wasn't bad. If you need a quick bite while shopping or browsing in the area and don't want to shell out extra bucks at Mendocino Farms, this is a nice, quick, and cheaper food option. I would order their fries and nuggets again.

Yelp
First off, ordered a double patty burger a they only have me one so watch out when picking up orders. They're scamming people. Their number they have listed just goes to voicemail. Also, they take SO long to make your food. Buyers beware.

Yelp
It's been a hot minute since I've been to Shake Shack but the stars aligned and I was near one! It was my boyfriend's first time at one, so of course I had to give him a well rounded experience. What we got: Shack Burger (no cheese): perfectly balanced with fresh veggies and a bouncy bun. Smoke Shack Burger: the perfect amount of meat and cheese! Fries to dip in... the Cookies and cream shake- make it malt! The weather was fantastic so we ate outside! I definitely need to come back soon and explore more on their menu. The store was clean and organized, including the bathroom, which was well stocked.
