Shake Shack Jersey City

This shake shack may have been the worse shake shack of all shake shacks I've ever been to -- & I'm only writing this review since my boyfriend went to grab us something & he had the same experience I had. I was giving the place the benefit of the doubt, as the first time I went it was fairly new & testing it's waters. It's not new anymore, & it does not seem to show any improvement. The lack of energy/care/devotion/basic manners of the employees is considerably questionable. Their overall service was horrible & it shows they do not care one bit. They speak loudly with personal drama & with such detail as if there are no customers in sight. It's disgusting to think that any of that is okay... no consideration what so ever. As far as the food portion of this complaint... My boyfriends shake was great, he loved it. As for me, my cheese fries were horrible & couldn't even eat it & I absolutely LOVE fries from this business. They were cold. I can handle not fresh -- but it was to the point that they were not tasty & the cheese looked weird. Perhaps it was running out? He explained -- apparently they were scooping the cheese w a cup. He also stated that one of the employees face mask was hanging off his head... Lastly, it would just be nice to feel welcomed & not feel like a bother when walking into a business where you spend over $20 for a fast-food MEAL. Because let's face it -- it's not a cheap. We are paying for quality food items & should not be treated as such.

Visited the Shake Shack in Jersey City recently and had a great experience overall. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the space was clean with a relaxed vibe. I tried the Dubai Shake. It’s sweet but not overpowering, and the texture was smooth with a subtle crunch from pistachios. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for something unique beyond the usual vanilla or chocolate.

I had a great experience at Shake Shack today thanks to David’s outstanding service. I was waiting in line to order at the kiosk when he kindly approached me and offered to take my order directly at the register. Not only did he take care of everything with a smile, but he also brought the tray to my table and checked in to see if I needed anything else. In today’s world, it’s rare to find people who are genuinely friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make a difference. David truly made my visit memorable. thank you!

The crew here is really good, welcoming and professional. Food consistently comes out fresh but they are willing to help if you feel any other way. Thank you taalib and scarlet for making the experience nice at shake shack🫡.

I've been there 4 times. Bad, slow service every time. The 4th time, I made an order and intentionally didn't leave a tip. I was the only person waiting for my order. Not only they took forever to start making the order and forever to prepare it, but when they were done making the shake one of the girls literally put it in the fridge right in front of me then started chatting with her coworker. I continued waiting for a few minutes confused then asked her for the shake. The attitude i got was "why are you bothering me, I have no time for this". She goes away and starts randomly looking at screen and walking around. Then, a few minutes later, she pulls the shake from the fridge and hands it to me. I asked for the manager and asked him what's the reason this order was never called and was put away right infront of me then when I asked for it, the person who put it in the fridge started playing around before handing it to me. The manager didn't have an answer of course and just brushed me off. So I walked off and enjoyed my saggy melted shake. Never going back there that's for sure

Never had to wait so long for a melted shake. Waited over 15 minutes, never got the text the order was ready. Was standing at the counter and they never called the number, just put the shakes in an ice bucket next to the counter. When I went up and asked I was told they didn’t receive my order, only to take it out of the bucket a minute late, & half melted. Whole line of customers were asking for their orders as well. At least they got the malt right. Won’t be back.

A scale of one to 10 I give a 10 out of 10 & The service here is wonderful. The food is fantastic even though this is not the first time eating at Shake . However, this is the very first time eating Shake shack in downtown Jersey City. I will come back again either by myself or with somebody else.

Place was ok and food tasty but a bit expensive and they won’t take your order in person anymore, making you go to those pads to order which can be a bit confusing to some. Nevertheless, enjoyed it

Pretty good burger . Thè ice tea was great. My first time eating. I will go again. I like the curly lettuce of the burger and the tomatoes were fresh and sliced great.

Oh god . I'm starting to hate when people ask me my opinion, but the shake shack in Jersey City really sucks. There's a couple people who work there. They're very aggressive, not nice, and seem to be on something. I've dined there twice and it's really scary how people still stay open after being such jerks . . The ones in the city are decent. I guess I'm tired of bad service and paying a lot of money.

Wow! This was such a good stop in Jersey City! Best burger in my opinion and the service was excellent. I love the ambiance.

Honestly, If I could give this 0 stars I would. After driving over 30 mins to this place I was refused service by manager Trevor AFTER I HAD PAID! My credit card was charged & when I showed him the charge on my phone he RUDELY told me to come back tomorrow for a refund. I have worked in food industry as a manager & I definitely was never trained to be this INCOMPETENT. Why would I drive back 30 mins just for a refund!? When it could've been done right there or my food was prepared. Manager showed zero concern to resolve the issue & instead got mad when he was called out on it! As I work nearby I was excited to make this one of my new lunch spots & even do corporate catering with this shake shack but as my first visit was met with such DISGUST the manager has caused definetly a bent on the opportunity cost to the restaurant & from other people's experience this shake shack is deff going be an underperformer in quality & service especially if a manager like Trevor will be running the place.
