I've been to other Shake Shack around Dallas, Houston, and Austin, TX, and they never disappoint. So when this place opened up, we were excited!
When we first walked in, we noticed you can order at the kiosk. Love this idea since we can take our time and look at every item on the menu. When we were ready to checkout, the kiosk took forever to process our payment. We stood there for a good 3 minutes waiting for our order to go through.
We sat down and five minutes later we get a text saying our order is ready. Went to go pick up our order......but it wasn'tready....Stood there for five minutes while they were preparing our order. I don't know if other places do this, but we saw them grab our "pre-made" shake out of the fridge and our fries off the warmer. If we remembered correctly, we thought they made the shake per order. I guess not??
We ordered a Shakeburger, Crinkle Fries, Black & White Shake, Coffee Shake, and the new Chick'n Bites w/ShakeSauce.
The burger was good, tasted like how we remembered. Crinkle Fries didn't taste fresh...The Shakes weren't as good. And don't get the Chick'n Bites, didn't taste good. Wasn't worth it. The worst part was the Shack Sauce. It was so cold, dense and thick that I couldn't dip the Chick'n Bites without scooping the whole sauce out. Thought my sauce wasn't fully melted, so I went to the counter and asked for another one. They grabbed the sauce in the fridge and handed it to me. I asked if the sauce was suppose to be this thick, and they said yes....Even saw the couple next to us open the Shack Sauce, dipped their finger in it, licked their finger, shook their heads, closed the lid, and tossed it to the side.
Don't get me wrong, the burger was good! But, for the price you pay, I expect everything else to be top notch and fresh.
