Shake Shack

For an airport location, this Shake Shack does a solid job. The menu is more limited than the regular brick-and-mortar spots, but the essentials are there. The burger and fries were cooked to order, hot, fresh, and crispy, which is really all you can ask for when traveling. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. Not a full Shake Shack experience, but a reliable and satisfying option if you’re stuck at the Phoenix airport and craving a decent meal.

Quick service. Food was good. Friendly staff. Ordered a shake and burger for $25. Expected for airport food but still pricey.

Fast lines, super friendly staff. Easy going with special orders and changes. Christopher greeted us with good morning and happy holidays which was really nice.

Pretty good place to grab a bite to eat. I ordered the smoke shack, no peppers, with fries. With it being in the airport, it was a little busy and order did take a minute to come out. But once it did, it was nice, warm and delicious. The tables for Shake Shack were a bit dirty and so was the floor- this was my only issue. However, I was able to find a table to sit at and eat. Condiments bar was nice and stocked, too. Overall, I would recommend this place

Waited a while for food but there were a ton of people as well so you can’t rush it too much. Wish the sandwich had a little more to it since the cheese curd patty made the sandwich more dry.

made fresh to order burger. it was delicious. ive been to other shake shack locations but this one was really good. the burger came out hot and seasoned well. the fries super crispy. only issue is the prices are more expensive because it's at the airport. located in gate F in the back. there is seating inside and outside the restaurant.

This was a treat at Sky Harbor Airport! This is my first time eating at Shake Shack. The sandwich was hot and fresh and made to order. The fries were also fresh and hot. The staff was a little cold with service. I was a little disappointed that in "America's Friendliest Airport" this is allowed. This is a reflection of management, who must have an issue motivating staff. I wouldn't let this stop you from ordering here because the food is great! I would highly recommend this location to anyone who is hungry in Terminal 3 of Sky Harbor Airport!

Our flight was delayed for 3 1/2 hours thanks to an orange tantrum. We decided to walk all the way across the airport to the Shake shack to treat ourselves to a shake only to arrive and have them tell us that they were sold out of shakes. At least the staff person that we spoke to was really nice and friendly. They should be promoted to management. How could a manager fail more dramatically than to fail to stick his store with the title item?

I hit up this Shake Shack almost any time I'm in Phoenix, independent of the time of day. And the lines are always long. When there is adequate staffing, the lines and the wait time aren't too bad. But if you're in a rush to catch a flight, this may not be the best option. The food here is solid. Most recently I had the bacon avocado burger. The burgers are always hot and fresh and despite the fries sitting under a warmer, they are tasty too! The frozen custard is delicious and I really like the strawberry lemonade.. This is a great stop if you have some time in Phoenix.

This was hands down the grossest Shake Shack experience I have had. The service here was on the slow side. With only one person in front of me, I thought it would be quicker. The three guys in the kitchen were just standing there looking at each other. The food took quite a while. When I finally got it, I found a black hair in my cheese. I'm hoping it was just beard hair. The fries tasted strange... like fishy strange.... Next time I'm in Sky Harbor, I'll steer clear...

Had a 2 hour and change layover in Phoenix and Shake Shack was close by our terminal. We ordered (2) cheese fries (loved how they put the cheese to the side in a cup), x1 chicken shack, x1 shack double, x2 drinks. Line moved quickly. Service was excellent -- even with the mishap (I'll get to that in a bit) Food was pippin HOT. Sitting at our terminal and diggin' in I noticed the shack double is a SINGLE. We went back and situation was corrected w/o any hassle. I really loved how they took accountability and rectified it immediately! Good Job, Christopher! Small Greasy hamburger. But I guess you get what you pay for, plus when you're in a hurry at the airport, you gotta settle :(

I stood in line for almost 10 minutes waiting to be helped, only to find out the dude playing on his phone at the very last register was actually open the whole time and saw me standing there, BUT JUST NEVER CALLED ME UP. The lady behind me also thought that there was no one working the registers because he was literally DUCKING DOWN BEHIND THEM PLAYING ON HIS PHONE! What kind of a management team allows workers to do that? Insane.

Out of avocado and cheese, unacceptable for a high volume chain in an airport! They ran out of these new menu items before noon lunching hour? What a terrible manager of this location, should be reprimanded or replaced.. Obviously isn't good in the food service game. No where to sit, tables were dirty. However as I wrote this review a little old lady approached me to ask if she could throw out my tray and offered me ice for my water bottle! That earned them a half star.. so 2.5 stars. Food was average, fries were cold. Again, no Avocado for thier "new avocado burger and avocado chicken sandwich" which they are recently promoting?!? Who doesn't have cheese for their famous cheese fries? Garbage location. Avoid this place, save yourself the frustration.

I used to like it in NYC but over the time somehow do not like the burgers here.l anymore. It' has become expensive than other known and good brands, yet not a fulfilling lunch or meal. Drinks are ok but I have only tried fountain drinks and seasonal fruity drinks. Large fries were way small for 2 people to share. My husband liked his burger but I did not like my chicken bun. Even loaded chicken burger was small and dry. Will give it a another try in few weeks Service and auto order option via digital screen is always good.

:/ this was my first time trying shack shake and i was so let down, the bread was extremely dry to the point of crumbling apart, they had no crispy onions (i ordered the veggie shack) and they put literally one droplet of sauce... this was the driest burger i've ever had in my life

For an airport restaurant the burgers were delicious. The cashier messed our order up and had a hearing issue but other than that food came out very fast and tasted great! The restaurant is very conveniently located next to my gate and it looked very clean.

The blonde girl here literally couldn't understand what I was ordering and I had to reorder 3 times. The food is fine. Not great

Yum on airport food. Got a burger and shake. Line went fast but food getting out took a while. Absolutely loved the shake.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, fries, and a strawberry lemonade. After waiting in line for 20+ minutes and waiting another 10 for my food, I was given just the bag. No drink. After getting the drink, I walked away to head to baggage claim... only to sit down and find out that the fries I order were not in the bag. I couldn't go back because I already went through the security checkpoint. I tried to call the phone number listed several times and it would ring and then hang up. For an airport restaurant, you would think service would be fast. This is the slowest Shake Shack I've ever been to.

I ate here tonight for early dinner before taking my 8:50 PM flight back home. This was my first time eating at this Shake Shake, and only the third time ever eating at one. The lady at the front counter was nice and helpful. The place has a nice look here in Terminal 3 at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Tonight, I did a simple order. Nice and easy. Shake Shack cheeseburger, regular fries, and a chocolate shake. You can't go wrong. It cost $21 plus change. I am at the airport, so I expected. It was a super yummy pre flight meal! Everything was made perfect to the tastes. I would definitely eat here again in the future. Please give them a try too if you go through here as well !!!

Very speedy service shake shack inside the airport. They were able to keep quality food standards similar to stand alone stores. Pricing is very similar also, I understand some places are marked up due to being in the airport. The burger was great, ordered the bacon smoke shack, everything was heated properly, bacon was crispy. And the portions was worth the value. Quality meats for sure. Fries were terrific. I got a vegan burger, fries and shake. My last meal of vacation before boarding my flight out of sky harbor airport in Phoenix. The burger was delish, perfect amount of sauce, pickles, and crispy french fried onions. Fries were just ok. Shake was pretty tasty. Even though there was a lot of customers it seemed fast getting my meal. A nice lunch at the airport!

Three stars is about right for this shake shack. Food is ok and will take care of your hungry. Taste is average but the price is a little pricey for what you get. It's likely the airport premium all food get here. The service is not bad. Your average hard working airport employee. If you're hungry you could do worse.

This was the first and last time I will visit any shake shack ever. The employees moved slower than molasses in the winter, they were not friendly, and as I fumbled with the menu since it was my first time there they just stared at me and didn't even try to help. My hamburger was undercooked and looked like it could start mooing at me at any moment. I asked for bacon cheese fries and to my surprise the fries came out with a to go cup of bacon and a to go cup of cheese on top of the regular fries. And to further add insult to injury, the cheese came out of the to go cup in one big glop onto my naked fries. It wasn't even melted. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Yeah, it was that bad.

Service was not great. It was pretty awful really. I've had some ok Shake Shack experiences. This one was not that. They got our order wrong. I went and told them we had not gotten our fries and then she gave me this long story about how I had not ordered fries. she gave us fries and stated they were complimentary. I brought my receipt and just left it on the counter as per I needed to catch a flight. in fact I had paid for two things of fries.

Can always count on a quality smashburger from shake shack. Wish the location was a little more convenient (as it's inside of a mall) but don't take away from the flavor and quality. Certainly upholds the standards of national shake shake chains - fresh, flavorful, and hot. Service was quick and attentive with no delays whatsoever. Fantastic visit.

Got a burger and shake while waiting for our flight. The burger was thin and greasy. The shake was almost too chocolate but thick. Service was efficient. Plenty of seats. Just the usual airport noise and traffic. I tried it once but won't go back.

Lines are long and when I got to counter I ordered and was told the ONLY thing they were selling was cheese burgers, plain and fries. Are you kidding me!!! It was 1ish in the afternoon on a Saturday. Why could they post it somewhere since we waited in line so long? The clerk at the register was pleasant and that's the only reason it deserved a star

Two stars for the food itself but service and how your food is made is terrible. Ordered two bacon cheeseburgers-- the forgot the bacon so they just gave us a side of bacon. We were missing a bunch of items like an extra shake hot dog and burger. We ordered 5 burgers total. I'm sorry to say but employees here does not really care to work for this job. And they even said it, how they're tired of working there while cooking Love shake shack but this location is crap.

Chefs a tweaker, the cashier was stoned lady is nosey do better definitely don't recommend it would rather wait and get food when I get home

Food here is always good. Today there was an employee yelling out number orders so people could get their food. It was super busy so he had to yell, but it was an unbearable volume inside. He was screaming at the top of his lungs the numbers. It was so loud that we had to go outside just to have a survivable experience. Again I know it was busy, but the volume was out of control. Hopefully something can be done in the future to not have a worker screaming numbers out at full volume.

I ordered a normal shack burger. Which is supposed to come with tomatoes and lettuce but did not have that at all. Even worse is that the eating area was completely run down, dirty, and messy. Overall, a horrible experience that cost me $8.46.

It doesn't happen often, but when my eating window & arriving early to the airport coincide, I'm ordering a Shack Stack ($13.99) if I see a Shake Shack! This one's located at Terminal 3 near Gate F7. Skimpy on sauce, but overall, my burger scratched that fast food itch; beef patty was cooked well done as I had requested, fried portobello mushroom was perfectly crispy. Unhappy staff, but speedy service.

I popped in for an order of cheese fries before my flight. They were so good! The line was really long but I still got my food really quickly. The fries were fresh and perfectly salted. This locations gets really busy but the staff is really nice to customers.

Morning visit before our flight and the staff here were so attentive and so quick!! (Despite my FYI below). Even with the morning crowd and a very long line, we moved pretty quickly. The cashier handled the register, orders, and handing off orders to customers seamlessly. It was my first time dining at a Shake Shack and I was impressed. The best part was the full menu was available for purchase even at 5:45AM- thanks, Shake Shack!!! I tried their hot dog and crinkle fries. Delicous!! The bread/bun was so airy, crispy, and fluffy. My family's breakfast egg and cheese sandwich was just as favorable. Great first experience! FYI I don't mean to sound entitled- but just letting the staff know of this section needing a cleaning in case they don't see these things right away. The customer before me was a college-type kid, and he was standing in front of the pick up counter, rudely blowing his nose three times. It wasn't a casual and light sniffle and tissue, it was the obnoxious, sickly, congestion blowing of the nose. In this day and age, I wish people would be more courteous of sickly symptoms and not to do that around food service. His hands reached over the straws and napkins repeatedly. I purposefully stood to the right pickup counter to ensure I didn't go to that area.

Shake Shack 3400 E Sky Harbor Blvd Phoenix, AZ 85034 August 8, 2022 Monday - 6 AM for a breakfast 1 Adult Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 5+++ stars Background - First time flying Delta out of PHX. So either the "bread" company, mega coffee company or the Shack for breakfast. Atmosphere - What you would expect from a fast food restaurant in a airport. Food Drink - Coffee, just black, it was lava hot burning my hand thru the extra cardboard holder. Basically I finished my sandwich before I was able to drink my coffee. Breakfast - I had the breakfast sandwich, Sausage, Egg N' Cheese. You can order the sandwich with two eggs. I probably do that next time as I felt it was a bit small. It was really good so I would order it again. Service - My day started rough, and sorry I do not remember the cashiers name, she was wonderful. I grabbed my wallet and realized I was missing my credit card. I know how do you lose it? I could almost do a review on that cluster. She was so sweet, she asked the questions that got my mind on the right track to find it downstairs. So from the time I realized it was gone to placing my order it was 10 minutes. She was friendly and cheery on an early Monday morning. Future - Flying Delta I could see me coming back here.

Cold food, cold cheese and hot soda. Looks better than it tastes. Very close to gates though.

The first (and only time) I've gone to Shake Shack. It was in the airport, so expectations weren't super high. Now, I had just finished attending our National Dales Meeting, which entailed an all-nighter awards ceremony and heavy (HEAVY) celebrating. I was absolutely STARVING and, well, had a bit of the "Irish Flu" ... I'm Irish, so I can say that ;) I saw that this place served breakfast. No joke, I ordered one of EVERY breakfast item they had (and fries, haha). It was EXACTLY what I needed with zero sleep, stomach empty and head hurting. Greasy greatness! The best I can compare this to is Jack In The Box type of breakfast sandwiches. All the breakfast ingredients wedged in a brioche-type hamburger bun. I don't eat stuff like this, well, hardly ever... but when ya NEED it, ya need it. Made my head-bobbling drowsy flight home so much better!

$8 for bacon cheese fries I had to build myself. Is this standard practice here? I know this is the airport but as I'm in line watching other people get their food and their burgers and shakes I saw no such practices. The burgers were coming out with all the ingredients on them... the shakes were being delivered to the customers mixed not in separate cups, so why did I have to assemble my fries? At the airport there is little to no seating usually with tables due to people just lounging where ever there is space to open their computer or to put stuff down and it was a task let me tell you to try to pour the cheese and bacon on my fries in my lap. There were no forks offered or available as well for some sort of assistance so in all this was a serious disappointment. I went here expecting some level of quality and consistency due to have visiting other establishments outside the airport and having few choices while waiting for my flight. Needless to say what a waste of money it was and the food quality and taste was just ok I've had better for much less!

The only burger in terminal 3. Had a plain cheeseburger. It was very good. 4 stars cause it was SLOW. No lines and about 8 people working, but just one was bagging orders.

Who goes to a burger joint and doesn't get a burger? Me, that's who. I'm strange, but more on that another day. Got a flat top hot dog and the bacon and cheese fries. The hot dog was surprisingly good and presented really well for a hot dog. I had asked to have it fully loaded and it ended up with onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Delightful! The fries came out with the cheese sauce and bacon on the side which was less tasty to look at. It was kinda sad and lonely lumping the not quite hot enough cheese onto the fries. I felt shame as I flung forks full of cheese onto the fries and then covered it up with the bacon. All for the pictures, right? All in all... It tasted good. I just wish I could have had a burger.

No way around it. Shake Shack is expensive! I've stopped here a couple of times while passing through PHX. This time I waited forever for my food and ultimately they realized they messed up. Got it figured out. The Shack Burger had been sitting so long by the time I got it tasted like the wrapper, but at that point I was so hungry it didn't matter. The shake was good - not $7 good but good.

The burger was good but was undercooked. I only ate around the edges. Fries were good. Service was fine. Dining area was neat but didn't see anyone coming out to wipe down tables. Probably won't be back.

When it comes to airport restaurants: it's hit or miss. With that being said, I didn't have high hopes for Shake Shack- but I absolutely needed a bite before my flight, so I took a risk... and I'm happy I did. I decided on the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sammie- and it was surprisingly delicious. The apple-smoked bacon was crispy, the egg was prepared perfectly, and the cheese melted nicely between it all. It hit definitely hit the spot! Next time I've got an early flight and need to grab a quick, yummy bite- I'll stop by the Shake Shack for sure. It's the perfect spot for something tasty, that will help you pass out on your flight and snore. (Trust me. I'm sure the guy sitting next to me on the flight can bear witness.) *looks down in shame*

It's Shake Shack. So you can expect a mean cheeseburger, delicious shakes, and crinkle fries. The other thing you can expect though, is very long lines. If you don't have at least 45min before you have to board your flight, you should look to get food elsewhere.

The cashier was rude and was extremely obvious he did not wanna be here I asked for the works on my burger lettuce tomato pickles and spread as you can see from my picture the smallest piece of lettuce no pickles no spread

I am a huge shake shack guy. I'd choose shake shack over In n Out any day of the week. This location has to be the worst I've been to. To begin, the man at the register clearly did not want to be there. He was super snippy when a customer politely asked commented he got a single when ordering a double. I felt uncomfortable ordering. Secondly, their kitchen must be anemic. They did not have the shroom burger, onions, and hot dog buns for hot dogs. I saw a lady eating a hot dog with a burger bun. My burger bun had like different food stuck on it from something else that was on the grill before. Very sad for shake shack.

Always a good and bomb option for food but just horrible service at an airport! I don't really expect anything less but this place is always busy so knowing that, I wonder why they are staffed with employees? There were only three individuals working when I just went to order some fries, given that it only took like 1 minute for my order to be ready ( they already made the fries and just sitting there) it still took forever because they kept talking and joking around. Also the cashier that was taking my order was super rude like I don't want to be there as much as you lol. But other than the service, food is good and I just ordered the cheese fries and that's always a good option. I like how thick the fries are and the seasoning they put on top. Burgers are good too but I wasn't that hungry for one.

This was one of the best tasting burger we ever had. Big fan of In-N-Out and this shake shack beats that taste way far. Assistant at counter was very friendly and makes the ambience at airport. We took shake shack first and wife liked it so much that we did another order to try chic Only reason I can't give 5-star is due to price and the small size of the burger. It's definitely not value for money. But try them for sure. Your buds are gonna love it.

Wow. So much for brand reputation. I've heard so many great stories about Shake Shack over the years but it seems that these stories were highly exaggerated. Let's be straight here. I was not going to eat or drink at Shake Shack as there is nothing for me to consume as a vegan. My daughter wanted to grab a shake and some fries and the Shake Shack is located in the uber modern Terminal 3 at Sky Harbor in Phoenix. We waited in line and then ordered. When the cashier asked about the name, I stated my last name. He then said, 'are you sure?' I said, 'yeah. That's my last name.' Then came the silly dad jokes. Look, I'm okay with the dad jokes but the way it was done was cringeworthy and it wasn't even funny. I would preferred if it was done with a some fun like other locations. Look my last name is funny so have fun with it. They called my last name, and then cook says, " Are you sure, it's Saturday?' Now that was funny. Now onto the food and the shake. The fries were crinkle cut and hot and shake was a black and white but nothing near worth $8.00. The shake with the name Black and White gives you the impression that it is cookie crumbles or Oreo, or something like that but nope. It's just vanilla and chocolate. There were no ketchup packets and the napkin holder was out. Look if you're into Shake Shack lore and want a burger and shake, go for it, but the shine and luster certainly were diminished for me and my daughter.

I asked for a Hamburger and fries and ended up receiving only a bun with a patty and fries. I didn't know that I needed to ask for the regular toppings to be put on a burger. The workers were too busy hitting each other and flirting for me to work up the courage to ask them for toppings to go with my bun and patty. I even felt unwelcome ordering. I love shake shack normally but this experience definitely hurt my impression of the business. This location definitely didn't hold the standard that I have seen held in other locations.

It was my 1st visit ever to a shake shack. I had a plain hamburger and plain French fries. The shake of the month was a pride shake. It had raspberry and strawberry ice cream swirled together with a mango and Passion fruit puree on top with whip cream and sprinkles . I only had mine with whipped cream not sprinkles. Everything was delicious. The hamburgers smell wonderful and I wish I would have had longer to stay and enjoy a huge Burger. But I will definitely be back!

Faith was a good order taker. She explained what a black and white shake was. (Vanilla with chocolate swirls. The line moved fast and it was delicious.

Given it's fast food I can't complain! Good kick and flavor for the price. Frankly I would say it's a step up from the standard Wendy's and McDonald's burgers.
