Shake Shack Seaport

We ate here two days in a row and the food was consistently excellent. The burgers were incredibly juicy and packed with flavour, honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The seating area is well laid out and comfortable, and I really appreciated the self-serve water station. We had some trouble ordering through the app and couldn’t redeem the free burger offer, but the staff went out of their way to help and matched the deal without hesitation. They were friendly, helpful and made the whole experience even better.

This place is a big “meh” for me. I was in the mood for a burger for lunch so I ordered a double cheeseburger with some spicy cheese fries and a soda. The burger was fine. Very much akin to what you’d get at Five Guys but not quite as good. The big problem I had was with the fries. Part of why my experience was frustrating was I the fact that that the “spiciness” of the fries was attributable purely to an insane thick clump of cayenne pepper dropped on the center of the basket, which meant that half the fries didn’t get any spice and the other half were so coated with cayenne pepper as to overwhelm any other aspect. The cheese was also tasteless. The fries themselves were surprisingly good but this combination left a literally bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps their dessert offerings make this a destination but I can only judge based on what I ordered, and what I ordered was basic and nothing to write home about.

Grabbed shakes from Shake Shack tonight. They were good as usual. The bathrooms were not clean and smelled pretty bad, needed some servicing.

We came here for a quick food break. The Self ordering system made it quick and easy to order what we wanted. We grabbed a table number once our food was ready. A nice lady brought it to us and was very pleasant. We ate and left. For a quick bite to eat, it's definitely worth checking out. Good food and pleasant staff.

Burgers were smaller than I expected, but tasty. People say Shake Shack is basic, but so is everything else at Seaport so just eat whatever you want. I wanted burgers, I went to ShakeShack.

First time ordering at this restaurant for a team event. Placing the order on line was easy to manage and I received updates as the order was in process. The time I requested to pick up was spot on and the service in the restaurant was great. Food was warm when I got back to the office, great portion size, nothing was missing and it all tasted great. Definitely would consider this again for a team luncheon.

I just think the food is mid. Chicken nuggets - The smallest nubs of chicken, always over cooked, greasy and flavorless. Hotdog - skinny little dog. basic nothing special.

Absolutely disgusting. This Shake Shack at Seaport Boston is a rodent-infested, overpriced excuse for a burger joint. Numerous reports have been made to the board of health about the rampant uncleanliness, yet no corrective action has been taken. Cross-contamination and filth run rampant, putting customers at risk of illness. It’s shocking that this place is still operating under these conditions. If you care about your health, avoid this place at all costs!

The workers were working very hard, the location was very busy. The shakes, fries, and hot dog all met Shake Shack standards. This is a busy city center downtown location.

They don't take your order; you must enter your own order into a kiosk. They ask for your phone number to text you when it ready (but I don't want to give them my data). You can't get a receipt without giving them you email. They ask for a tip, despite providing no service. I had to clean my own table. Their drinks are nearly all ice, with very little actual drink provided.

I love me some Shake Shack. After imbibing in craft beers for a few hours across the street at Trillium, our party made our way to Shake Shack for some hot dogs before heading to another brewery. I had a hot dog with cheese, which was delightful as per usual. The wait wasn't terribly long. The staff members were busy in the back, as it's in a prime location in the Seaport neighborhood, so they were doing steady business. Tables were clean. Price was fairly reasonable.

Order here through the app and pick it up whenever I have to be in the sea port area. It's good and convenient. Food is decent and I'm unsure of the other poor reviews. But this place seems to serve its purpose well for me. Parking can be difficult and not sure how they expect you to park when the curve side parking is, as often to be the case, is full.

Solid burger chain, situated in the heart of Seaport (right on Seaport Blvd). I order dinner from here frequently (to-go), and find it very convenient that you can pick up your order from the outside walk-up window. Service can be slow at times, and if you find yourself waiting for an order longer than expected, ask about it. Chances are they forgot to (or just didn't) call your name, and immediately just placed your bag inside (instead of outside). The burgers are delicious, the meat is juicy, not greasy, and good quality overall. They offer several different pre-made burgers, or you can make your own. Various toppings available, such as Shake Shack sauce and seasonal white truffle aioli, cherry peppers, bacon, mushrooms, and more. In addition to beef patties, they also offer a vegetarian burger (fried mushroom). Crinkle cut fries are crispy and golden brown on the outside, and soft on the inside, again with the option to have cheese, bacon, or any of the available sauces on top. Shakes and custards are also tasty- vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and cookies and cream; non-dairy options are available. Shake Shack also offers hot dogs, grilled cheeses, chicken sandwiches, and chicken "bites". I have not tried any of them though. Restaurant itself is a little overpriced, but still one of the cheaper restaurants you'll find in Boston. Note: VERY busy location, at all times of the day. I find it much easier to do pick-up or delivery, then attempt to find a seat, or have to deal with slow service.

Food was consistent Shake Shack quality. Service for take out was a little slow. Did not notice the ambience.

I had Shake Shack for the first time* where I tried the shroom burger (3.3/5) and my friends' cheese fries (2/5). If you're vegetarian, it's a good choice, but I personally didn't feel it was worth the price given the size. Mushrooms also absorb a lot in general, so the burger felt quite oily. They gave me 1/3 piece of a lettuce in the sandwich, so I wish there was more to help counter the fried oiliness. The flavor was good though. The cheese fries was nothing special, seemed like a slice of cheese that was just microwaved on the fries. (*edit)

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I'm usually not one to give a negative review unless the food is terrible but this one makes an exception. I ordered for pickup ahead of time, but with the city traffic and parking, I arrived 10 mins after my scheduled pick up time. I asked the workers about my order and was ignored by 2 workers. Given that it was a busy Saturday with many folks waiting around in costumes, I waited 10 minutes inside until I was told to go outside. I was ignored outside and then waited another 15 minutes until I spoke up. Finally someone kept telling me to wait for my order, but after seeing 10 people receive their orders, I asked again and this time someone finally told me that my order wasn't there. Well where can I find it then? After speaking to her supervisor, they promised to make my order. After waiting another 30 minutes, my meter was up and I told the girl who also waited besides me to take my order once she hears my name called.

Food was Ok, But the ambiance was terrible- All tables dirty, I had to clean my own table. And the text said "Your food is ready". Someone will bring it over! We'll nobody came cos the poor girl was taking the trash out when my order was ready. So I had to get it myself. Very disappointed! Won't be back

Tried to get some quick take out before the Tori Amos concert. Unfortunately, it took over 15 minutes just to get a hotdog we had to wait even after we got a text to pick it up at the counter. They were very busy and the employees were wonderful. But the bathrooms were so yucky. The hot dog itself was good and worth $5. Just don't come expecting a great fast food experience.

Multiple bad experiences at this Shake Shack. Poorly assembled food, don't follow instructions, found hair in food. Have given this location a few tries but I've been incredibly disappointed again and again.

Food is good, very greasy but very good. But my friends ordered cokes and they got root beers. Small mix up

I am super disappointed in the lack of communication. As busy as it was, I ordered with the kiosk. I received a text saying we will text you when your order is ready as I did a to go order. I requested a receipt just in case but it was an advertisement of north face even though the subject line said receipt of shake shack. 35 minutes pass, keep in mind I just ordered a burger with fries with no salt. At 45 mins I went up and asked and they said 5-10 more minutes with no apology. Finally an hour came by, I finally asked the guy that was dropping off the food and he helped me. Turns out my order was waiting at the app/order online pick up, which it shouldn't have been and I never received a text. Luckily the staff remade my food.

It's shake shack, so it's as good as expected! Stopped for a quick lunch and ordered at the kiosk. I got the hot dog and cheese fries, all great and the dragonfruit lemonade, delicious. The staff was great, they had one really friendly worker who sung me a song from Annie, since that's my name, and she was fantastic. Overall, it's quick and fast food but still good eats!

Not the best and pretty expensive for what it is. The shake was totally grainy, I don't think it's supposed to be that way...

Seemed like the workers here didn't know they were supposed to be giving the food to customers. Waited at the pick up window for 20 minutes and no names were called. When I finally got my food, my milkshake was completely melted and my order was wrong. They did remake my milkshake which was appreciated. Overall, it seemed the location could not handle the dinner rush!

We ordered this from Uber Eats We thought why order from shake shack rather than Burger King , Give Guys, McDonald's or Wendy's ?? The shake shack cheese sauce that's what got them the nod on this day. We wanted their cheese sauce and oh my god damn goodness did they disappoint us. Party of 4 people everyone wanted extra cheese with their cheese fries because in our opinion they don't put enough on it to begin with. What we got between the four of us with all four ordering extra cheese on the side for our fries One half of a tiny dipping cup. Divide that by four and you got a straight up robbery. I mean you can find more cheese on an old fashion mouse trap than you get with these people at the shake shack. This kind of service is downright criminally negligent . And it is the second time in three orders this has happened . Since we aren't going to get any cheese with these people we might as well go get burgers and fries from someone who makes them better because quite honestly , their burgers fries and chicken are nothing to rave about without that cheese.

This is a great Shake Shack! I got very nice service. The cashier was friendly and my food was bought to me at my table. It was good food, too! I work in the area and usually pass by on my way home, telling myself I can just cook something when I get home. But now think I will stop in sometimes!

Extremely mediocre, even by Shake Shack standards. Shakes were fine, but man there was something not quite right about the burgers. They seemed overcooked, and were already getting cold when they got to our table. I've had way better Shake Shack experiences elsewhere. Also, don't try to order a Purple Cow float at this location, they'll look at you like you grew a third head. Even after you point to it printed on the wall. Three employees had no idea what I was talking about.

Wish I could give them zero stars, I waited 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich and fries. In that 20 minutes they managed to make 15 other orders that ordered after mine. Will never be going here again.

As soon as we walked in we squeezed our way through a ton of customers who were all waiting for their food. We finally made it through what seems to be the pick up line and made our way to another line which was the order line. The menu was off to the wall which was blocked and covered by people waiting to order and you can't see anything under you get to the front of the line. I would suggest there be a smaller menu where the line dividers are so customers can view the menu prior to ordering. Good customer service from the cashier. She was patient and friendly. Once we ordered we struggled to find a seat to enjoy our lunch. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. A young lady came out with a tray of our food but we didn't have a table to sit at... I would also like to suggest to limit the amount of outside guest in here when you have paying customers just trying to enjoy lunch. We saw plenty of people eating outside food and or no food or drink at all. With that being said, we had to eat our food standing up. We finally got a table when we were nearly finished with our meal. Overall this is a really busy location. This location definitely needs to do better with their direction of traffic. The pick up line was swamped with people congested together not allowing customers to come in through the entrance. Again, there needs to be a more visible menu perhaps a smaller one placed on the line dividers rather than just the wall where customers are blocking.

friendly service, clean uniforms lots of smiles. Burgers and french fries were perfect. The store floor needed to be cleaned up. Big fan of Shake shack so I will return soon. Thanks again

Worst dining experience in a long time. They aren't even trying at this place. Diet Coke was fine, oh except they ran out of ice. No ketchup. Chicken sandwhich had to be under 3 oz. Aweful.

I ordered and paid and after about 10 minutes I saw a order that looked like mine and I received a text that my order was ready so I went up and asked a worker about it and they said that they will call my name when it is done. Finally after waiting another 10 minutes I went up and sure enough it was my order. I then look at it and I ordered 2 milkshakes and they were both only half full. I didn't want to wait anymore so I din't ask where the rest of my shake was but I am still pondering on it. If any one knows what happened to the rest of my shakes let me know.

I've had good experiences going to this Shack Shack in the Seaport. The wait for food isn't too bad and the staff are friendly. My order has never been wrong. During the spring and summer it can get real busy especially being located near so many stores along Seaport Boulevard. I've come here during lunch on the weekend and sometimes it can be hard to find a seat. Sometimes I'll get my order to go and walk to the waterfront a few blocks away.

This location seems to be going downhill unfortunately. Slow service when it's not busy (like 15 min for a chicken sandwich and milkshake), and the portion sizes are questionable for the price. Ot really a good value.

Shake shack has quickly risen up the ranks to become one of my all time favorite fast food places. It's a joy to visit every single time. I'm not sure if it's a COVID procedure but the service was impeccable with a server that delivers the food to your table. The service already earns a 5 star rating alone. The food was as expected from shake shack. The burger was juicy and satisfying while the fries were warm and had just enough crunch. The drinks were refreshing and my only qualm was that I didn't get a milkshake too!

This was our first time eating at shake shack and it was surprisingly good for a fast food looking place. The food wasn't greasy or artificial and the workers were friendly. Also, the music and lighting was nice.

Just got lunch for me and my mom. (GrubHub) Burgers were really tasty. Fries were pretty good. The shakes were amazing. My only (slight) complaint is that the food was cold when it arrived. This might be because of proximity to the shakes, so i can't really fault you that much. I'll be ordering again.

As with any Shake Shack on the planet this one was packed; It is hard to find an hour where the line isn't out the door but honestly it moves quick. It gives you a second to collect your thoughts and take it all the sights and smells. I am a sucker for open kitchens and I love seeing the organized chaos in person. I ordered the double cheeseburger with cherry peppers. The best. The cherry peppers are clutch and add a lot of flavor. The fries always surprise me here. They are probably frozen but they taste delicious. The cheese sauce is bizarre but amazing. Shake shack is a slam dunk 5 star burger spot. No matter where you go it always hits the spot. If you haven't checked it out you are missing out. Stop what you are doing and go.

For a limited time (?), there are black sesame shakes at this location. They have it regularly at locations in Japan, and this one tastes like a regular milk shake at shake shack, very thick and sweet, with a pretty strong black sesame flavor. It blended well with the drink, but I'm just used to less sweet and thick asian desserts when it is black sesame flavored. I think it's worth trying for $6, but it's also 860 calories.. This was my first time trying the shack stack burger, and I loved it. It has mushroom and cheese deep fried together in addition to a cheeseburger. The cheese oozes out of the fried patty/mushroom thing, and it's so good.

Giving the employees here tons of credit. They seemed super short staffed but everyone was hustling. Even when stuff was left off our order they corrected it immediately. Idk how these folks kept up with the orders tbh. Between online orders and people coming in and having the kiosks go down it was super busy. Just wanting to say thank you to everyone who works there. It can't be easy. They don't pay people in the food service industry enough.

The service at the Seaport Shake Shack was five stars to this rather confused newbie orderer. They handled me with smiles and patience. Thanks! Tip: if you are eyeing their ShackBurger Cheeseburger ($5.79 single) with lettuce, tomato, ShackSauce, do NOT state your order as a "Cheeseburger." There's actually a Hamburger ($4.99 single) listed a bit lower on the menu, that they will add cheese to, and that does not come with lettuce and tomato unless you specifically ask for it. Also, the eye catching Concretes are ice cream desserts, not the shakes that this establishment is named after. This is a fast food style establishment with a counter where you order and pick up your food (with the help of a personalized buzzer that you take with you). Help yourself to napkins, ketchup, water, and utensils - this is a self-serve joint. A single burger patty was more than sufficient to this diner. Served hot and fresh, the ShackBurger Cheeseburger was meaty goodness, and I liked their soft potato roll. The strawberry shake $5.29 made with their custard base was a tasty treat also. I sampled their crinkle cut fries $3, and found them nicely crisp and salted. Yes, they have straws (kind of have to with shakes...), but they are COMPOSTABLE straws! Bathrooms are individual, and counted three, although at the time of our visit, two were mysteriously being hogged. Given that this location in the Seaport, often you'll find a crowd here when there is an event at either the World Trade Center down the street, or the further off BCEC (Boston Convention and Exhibition Center).

The slowest most unorganized burger restaurant on the boulevard. They don't go in order- uncomfortable lines confusing situations not good for introverts- weird vibe. Socially awkward people beware they're weird here they want you to go on a wild goose chase after your order.

Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive, when it did finally arrive, not all parts were there, and the parts that did arrive were not good. Our shakes were for some reason warm, the burgers looked as though they were slapped together with what was left in the back, and we only got 1 Dr. pepper, which was ice less and had no syrup in it, which was a result of a "broken soda machine". Very dissatisfied as this is usually not the issue with my past Shake Shack experiences.

Always a good burger. Don't love the clearly frozen fries but the malts are to die for. Always clean and the music creates a good atmosphere. Wish the service was a bit faster but we've learned to live with it.

I don't know why they only have 3.5 stars here but maybe I'm bias because I freaking LOVE Shake Shack. In the area for a conference and it's a moderate walk from the convention center (15 min). Gets pretty packed at peak lunch time but the crew does a great job of getting the line moving and food out of the kitchen quickly. My favorite is their classic Shack Burger or cheeseburger. You can add pickles and onions to it but I think it's good without the add-one; as designed. Fries are the bomb. Lemonades are refreshing and delicious. Staff is efficient and friendly. Tables are cleaned after patrons leave. Awesome location. I tried ordering for the first time using their app and accidentally ordered from the wrong location. Tried calling the location but they weren't able to get to the phone so I asked the cashier at the correct location. She immediately placed my order and called the other location to cancel the order. Food came out immediately after. THAT'S WHUDDUP. Love.

Was going to give 1 star but the food is pretty decent. Other than that I wasted over half my lunch break waiting on it

A real nice location that's constantly busy and fresh. This was my first experience to a Shake Shack and it was really good. Sure, it's a little chaotic when it gets busy and the line is not in a good form, but the rest of the experience is pleasant. Waited in line during a busy convention weekend with friends to try Shake Shack for the first time and get some lunch. We waited in line for about 10-15minutes before ordering, and then another 10-15minutes for all of us to get the food (3 different orders) Everything was delicious, fresh and amazing. Probably one of the best chicken nugget type things I've ever had at a fast food chain. My boyfriend raved about the burger for hours on how good it was and the bacon cheese fries were perfect. Loved this place and I highly recommend to try any location just to experience it once.

First time at any Shake shack, and was happy to see that they had a veggie item on the menu. The shroom burger was surprisingly very good- super crispy on the outside with the right textured bread, the whole combo was great. The fried were also fresh and delicious. Overall liked this place - it's Good option when you are in a mood for a quick bite.

For a fast food burger joint, this place is a notch above average. The location itself is bright, clean, and somehow kind of swanky feeling. The staff are super friendly and efficient. I like that they have beer and wine options (even though I stuck with water). I brought my cranky three year old for lunch after a long morning at the Children's Museum. I had a Shack Burger. He had their version of chicken nuggets. We split some plain crinkle fries. The burger reminded me a little bit of an In and Out burger, which is a compliment coming from me. I didn't love the shack sauce, though - it was too thick and mayonnaise-y and there was way too much of it. I ended up scraping a bunch off. The bun was good and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. The crinkle fries were not all that crispy and not very well seasoned but my 3 year old liked them. I thought that his chicken bites were delicious- real chicken, flavorful breading, perfectly cooked - but he said they were too "spicy" ‍ I thought it was a good value, and the perfect spot for what I went in there looking for - a quick, casual bite to eat before my toddler had a complete meltdown.

It's a good location for the seaport district. Basically the burger is the same like anywhere else and there's some decent tables and places to sit. However it was so noisy when the heat was on... it was a loud vibration so it's hard to hear the background music. Service was polite.

Wow I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The window pick up is managed so poorly. I waited AN HOUR outside in the cold just to get a FLATTENED burnt burger and cold fries, and cheese sauce + truffle sauce missing. The pick up system is atrocious - mob of people are surrounding the window with bags of food and drinks just sitting on the shelves. I don't understand why they have a digital screen that could have shown which order was ready but they don't utilize it? Instead people have to squeeze their way through a crowd just to shout their name and be told " a couple more minutes." Never coming back.

Wow. Such a great experience on a warm Boston night. Burger was perfectly cooked. Charred on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. Bun is a soft potato bun with fresh lettuce and tomato. The fries are the star of the meal. Crispy, crinkle cut with a beautiful twice fried finish. Plenty of seating at this location. Great experience.

I really liked the cheese fries, should of asked for a little more cheese would of been perfect

The food here was absolutely delicious and made really quickly. Unfortunately, I did get something that I think was food poisoning from eating at this location yesterday, and it's made me feel sick since yesterday evening. I really wish this didn't happen, because everything else about this establishment was very well done, but it endangered my health and I hope it wasn't something other people also had to experience.
