Great DUB Beef burger but customer service was not so great.

Burger was bright pink and I couldn’t get a refund

Google
Disappointing Experience at Shake Shack I recently visited Shake Shack and was extremely disappointed with my experience. I waited for a staggering 4 hours for my order, only to leave without being served. This long wait was not only frustrating but also unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. I understand that busy times can lead to delays, but 4 hours is beyond reasonable. Communication from the staff was lacking, and it felt like my concerns were not taken seriously. I hope that Shake Shack can improve their service and ensure that this doesn’t happen to other customers in the future.

Google
These guys have my favorite hotdog at Nats Park. Get their dog with cheese sauce, then add the ground deli mustard from one of the condiment stations. It's the best. Note - Shake Shack is notorious for long lines, so order ahead through the MLB Ballpark App (if available). There's a fast lane for season ticket holders which is awesomely convenient.

Grace Turner

Google
I ordered from the Shake Shack app and was never notified any updates on my food, most notably I wasn't informed when my food was delivered. My food sat outside for 30 minutes and was eaten by a rat. So gross and sad! Was impossible to get a timely response from Shake Shack, the number listed on google for them wasn't linked to their location (or the brand?) so was left without food and without help! Bummed. Don't recommend ordering through their app.

Google
I've been here several times right before/after a ballgame at Nats park. It's the traditional Shake Shack if you know what to expect. For those who don't, they have pretty good fast food burgers and crinkle cut fries. Their burger sauce is very good!

Google
The my burger was cold!!! Cashier was not friendly or helpful. WHY would you serve cold food if someone is paying $12 ($11.49) for a burger!!!! Keep the attitude at home. We all have to work. I spent in total almost $60 for 3 burgers and 3 drinks. Never again!!!

Mark Popovich

Google
We were looking forward to grabbing a burger, hot dog and fries to enjoy while watching the team (lose again!) to the Twins. Unfortunately both the cheeseburger and hot dog were almost cold and sloppily constructed. We were among the few in line almost 30 minutes before game time. Contrary to the good food at Shake Shacks in many other locations, management is failing customers at the stadium. Shame!! Be advised: Take your dollars elsewhere when at the ball park!

Yelp
quality food, friendly staff. double smokeshack + fries is my go-to. the shakes don't miss. good burger.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Shake Shack and maybe my last. Was on my way to the Washington Nationals/ Baltimore Orioles Game and wanted a quick bite to eat. I liked that they were a block away from the Stadium. I ordered a Single Shack Cheeseburger with Crinkle Fries, I was disappointed in the size and taste of the Burger. It was just mediocre, Burger wasn't flavorful and they were small sized Burgers, the Crinkle Fries were good nice and hot. I will stick to my regular Burger Spot which was nearby but I wanted to give Shake Shack a try. The service was fast and the Cashier was Friendly.

Yelp
First off really nice staff. My son wanted this, and I went begrudgingly. These have popped up all over the DC region lately. The concept is pretty neat, but there simply are so many burger chains. These aren't cheap. The burgers are good, but nothing universe shattering. I do like the krinkle fries and shakes. Modern with computer technology. That's kind of interesting, as you can customize your order through this. Seating is very comfortable. I also want to say extremely clean. Yet the cost to portion ratio, I have to give it a yes recommendation. Due to this it gets an average rating for my opinion.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a great shake or fried chicken? Yes I said fried chicken! The fried chicken sandwiches at shake shack are sooo good and did you know you can get free one on Sundays for this month only! Did you hear me FREE! Go get his free chicken sandwiche and maybe fries and a Oreo shake

Yelp
Food took too long and there's no common courtesy here! All u gotta do is put a burger together! AND GIVE IT TO ME.

Yelp
My review is based off my Door dash experience. As for the delivery, it was very quick! My food was medium warm, coolish. But that's to be expected being as though it was a delivery. About 15 mins after I ordered my food the alert popped up that the dasher was picking up the food! That's was very fast. 2 Thumbs up for that ... As for the FOOD... I never had shake shack before so I had high expectations being as though people talk about how good there burgers are. (I don't eat but 2-3 burgers a year. ) but when I'm in the mood for a burger I want a great burger! My fav burger is five guys and believe it or not Wendy's!! This burger didn't hit the mark for me. It was just okay. The fries had a weird after taste?! Again, I had better at local burger joints... Atlease the cheese cup and delivery was great. I liked the lemonade drink I had too.

Christiana L.

Yelp
Worst experience ever. Went in because they have non dairy options but they weren't on their kiosk and no one at register. Gave in after 15 mins waiting patiently and ordered without what I wanted on the kiosk. Over an HOUR later I asked someone about my food, after waiting for others to ask about theirs first . I had a 4 month old crying for me back at the hotel because my husband took her back to cool her off after a hot day. Thought it would be quick to pick up and get back. It was ridiculous!!!

Yelp
My shake was made super thick and that is how I like my shakes. I went in late, so not much line. I had a shack burger and shake. I was happy with both. There are TVs inside with sports on and that is a bonus for an establishment like this, so that is what helps it reach 5 stars. I don't think I can add much value to you deciding whether to go to shake shack or not besides them having a TV. Enjoy!

Yelp
This was my first time with Shake Shack. I wanted to see what's all the fuss about this restaurant. To be honest, I was not impressed with the order process. More than half of the cashiers were working like it was their first day (maybe it was...?). Kinda chaotic making and receiving order. I had a single stack shack burger and French fries. The burger was simple yet delicious. The freshness of lettuce and tomato was noticeable. The lettuce must be organic or something high end - thick and tasty leaves. Fries were mediocre. Maybe because they were sitting on the heating rack for a while? I prefer fast food fries.

Yelp
Shake Shack and National Baseball, match made. The age of debate of the best chain burger restaurant, here's my insight: 1. Shake Shack and Five Guys 2. In-N-Out 3. Everyone else You might notice there are two establishments listed at 1. Before a hater criticizes me on this, allow me to explain. It's a completely different burger experience. Some days you'll want the classic greasy five guys burger and crispy boardwalk fries (oh baby), and on others you'll want the more crafty, gourmet burger from Shake Shack with the tangy shack sauce (wowza). Regardless, Shake shack is a go-to and I'd especially recommend it if you're from out of town and want to see how it's done east coast style. The Nats park location tends to get crowded so get there early and enjoy!

Yelp
The prices are slightly high but an overall good deal for ball park food. The shackstack and cheese fries is the way I go. Their strawberry shake is to die for on a hot day. Get in line quick as this is a local ball park favorite!

Yelp
$9.25 for the 'shroom burger. Totally worth the wait in line. The line does move fast. Kinda. You can watch the game from the monitor nearby. My only issue, and it's not their fault, was that I was seated half-way around the stadium from here. It was a long way back, and I had to go down a level, across a courtyard, and back up and around. It was worth it though. I got my 'Shroom fix. I'll have to go downtown DC next time around.

Yelp
I've visited Nats Park several times over the last 4 or 5 years, usually with a group of colleagues. Every time I've been here, the Shake Shack line has been super long, but generally the staff get through it quickly, as a lot of the burgers are assembled and ready to be handed out as soon as you pay. If you just want a shake and no hot food, you can bypass the line; I've been able to get a vanilla shake in as little as 5 minutes. The food and shakes taste pretty much the way they would at any other Shake Shack, with a bit of a mark-up (and a more limited menu) since it's located in Nats Park. The staff are reasonably competent, but not very motivated or friendly. It seems like they won't move unless they really have to. Our company provides tickets with $15 added value that can be used for concessions; about half the time I'm able to use my voucher at the Shake Shack, but the other half I inexplicably find myself at a register that arbitrarily no longer accepts the tickets (and I wind up paying out of pocket because I don't want to go back to the end of the line I was just in). Sometimes I'm able to pay with my voucher at the beginning of the evening, but when I go back at the end of the evening, I can't. (As a note, we always have the tickets/vouchers printed out.) Since the food is pretty much assembled before you order, any alterations require a bit of a wait. My friend doesn't eat gluten and was told that a bun-less burger would take 5 minutes to put together; it was nice to see they seemed to take her allergy seriously, as they weren't just taking one of the already-made burgers and discarding the bun. Despite the long line, the expensive food, and the lackluster service, Shake Shack at Nats Park is kind of a ritual for me and my friends, so I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
You guys stink! Attended the Futures and Legends games at Nationals Park and it was between the Futures and Legends games where I went to Shake Shack to get a burger and some fries. Got there and was told you were closed during the intermission between games. Totally ludicrous, do a gradual shift change so that there is no reason to close down -- which technically you weren't doing as there were at least a dozen people in line waiting to get served. Totally ridiculous not being to get my planned food at the ballpark because you decided to stop taking customers between games Total fail! Because of your attitude I chose not to give Nats Park anymore of my concession money and ate offsite after the second game was over.

Yelp
It pained me to go to Shake Shack at Nats Park when there are 1) so many in the area and 2) a variety of options in the stadium, but that's what we were craving. The line was long (but that's all of the lines here) but once you place your order, the food is prepared quickly - and you stay at the counter until they give it to you (unlike the typical Shake Shack locations where they give you a buzzer and you wait). In mass production mode, though the food is ready quicker, there was a noticeable decrease in quality. My burger was overcooked and lacked flavor, and it goes without saying that the prices are inflated: Single ShackBurger ($7.25) Single SmokeShack ($8.75) Fries ($5.75) + Cheese ($1.00) Pro-Tip: Go through the C-line if you want to redeem your designated driver drink voucher.

Yelp
Shake Shack at Nationals Park is soooo not worth it. Before waiting in line for a burger here, ask yourself these 5 questions: 1) Is this food really worth waiting for? (The burgers and fries are actually incredibly pedestrian.) 2) Why miss as much as 20% of the ball game waiting in line? (Shake Shack typically has the longest lines at Nationals Park.) 3) Why come here and choose food you can get any day of the week? (Shake Shack has 5 locations in DC without the insane lines.) 4) Why pay a huge premium for a little burger? (Shake Shack charges 44% more for the same items at their Nationals Park location). 5) Can you name at least 8 stands on the Nationals Park main concourse with better food and shorter lines? (Yes! Max's Kosher Grill, Bullpen Burritos, G Sandwich Shop by Mike Isabella, Jammin Island BBQ, Chesapeake Crab Cake Company, Triple Play Grill, Kapnos at the Park, See You Tater)

Yelp
Sorry, but horrendously slow service. Missed 2.5 innings, with a relatively short line. Shack Burger and fries were fine. Cost, high as anyone should expect at a ballpark. Recommendation, try a different vendor unless you only need a milkshake. There is a separate, and short line for cold drinks only. This may be the lowest rating I have provided.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
My milkshake was excellent just when I got home noticed a piece of the machine was left in my shake???

Dezmond C.

Yelp
I was in the restroom and the worker standing outside the door was rushing me to get out of the bathroom saying come on man hurry up and i was only in the restroom for 3 minutes.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
The line moves pretty quickly and there's plenty of TVs around so you won't miss any action while waiting. Food was great, as always, but extremely pricey. Spent $53 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks, but I guess the Nats have to get their cut too. Only wish Shake Shack wasn't on the 200 level since I had to walk all the way around the stadium, then up to the ramps. By the time I got back to my seats, food was cool, so maybe next time I will try to eat it in the seating area if there's room.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
They have to do something about the wait times- 45 min for a burger that's been under a heat lamp for just as long can be avoided in today's app economy. Food ok (better at less busy locations) but service awful. Make us love your food but don't make us work so hard for it when we're actually there for something else.
google avatar

Sandy H.

Yelp
This was the first time I ever got a Shake Shack burger at Nats Park and probably my last. I'm confused about why it took so long to get my burger and why I paid $8 to receive a Shack Burger... completely plain. Lettuce, sauce, and tomatoes all missing. Why my burger wasn't fully assembled, I don't know. It wasn't even that busy either. There were only a few people in line and plenty of staff in the kitchen. After waiting 20 minutes for the burger I received, I wasn't trying to stand around for around 20 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
I've frequented Shake Shack in NYC quite often, and was excited to try it out in DC at Nationals Park. Shake Shack's burgers with special sauce reminds me of a classier In-N-Out. Their menu is simple: burgers (with a 'shroom burger for the vegetarians), hot dogs, fries, shakes, and frozen custard. Tip: If you only want shakes or frozen custard, you can go into the "C" line. If you're running low on beer, they also have 2 beers on tap. (Killian's and Miller Lite) The line is usually long, but it moves quickly. There's also huge big screen TVs at the bar across in case you don't want to miss a minute of the game!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
This is probably more of an indictment of the Nats Park food quality than admiration of the food here. I don't like their mayo-based sauce or the American cheese so I have to custom order my burger sans cheese or sauce. The downside is I have to wait longer than most, the upside is I'm guaranteed a fresh burger each time. The burgers are fairly tasty for a ballpark and are worth a try by ballpark standards. By Nats Park standards, this place tends to be one of my go to options. Lines can be long but they do move pretty quickly. Again, the long lines here tend to showcase the lameness of the nearby food stands.

Yelp
So I love Shake Shack. The one in Dupont is by far my favorite location and despite being an absolute carnivore, I actually order the Shroom Burger every time I go. It's a portobello mushroom that is stuffed with muenster and cheddar cheese and then deep fried. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, and their creamy Shack Sauce. IT IS SO GOOD and I'm sure every vegetarian out there who has tried agrees with me. I'm also a sucker for the fries topped with melted cheese (extra fat) and their frozen custard, which is phenomenal. Why I'm giving this specific Shake Shack at the Nationals Stadium three stars is because they have a lot of burgers pre-made beforehand. And when I got my Shroom burger this time it wasn't that warm and the cheese wasn't oozing out like all of my experiences at the Dupont location on Connecticut in the past. I think that's the one flaw with having to make a lot of the food beforehand.

Yelp
This location is really awful and not representative of shake shack at all. We went for a game and I was pleasantly surprised to see a shake shack as a food option - we were super excited! The line looks very long but it does move fairly quickly. The lady who helped us at the register was nice but didn't seem to know what she was doing. We had to repeat our order 3 times because what she was repeating back to us wasn't accurate. It was a simple order of 2 double shacks and cheese fries! We then were given the wrong food - there was a shroom burger. So she and another lady went back and forth opening the burgers to see which ones they were. No offense, I'd rather not eat a burger someone's rummaged through. The incorrect order went back to the line - I sincerely hope someone else didn't get that food later on. We were finally given our correct order and went on our way. The burgers and fries were cold like they had been sitting out. The cheese for the fries came in a tiny sauce cup and was hard and dry rather than the usually smooth texture in the larger black container. Extremely disappointed considering the price point here is double what it usually is out in the city.
google avatar

Debbie Rae N.

Yelp
I've had Shake Shack in NYC, (the original location) and this place doesn't disappoint. I mean, why would it? It is a chain. I've had it in NYC, Washington and LV, and each location passed with flying colors. Being from the West Coast, In N Out is a staple and a favorite, but Shake Shack burgers beat In N Out zero to none. I say this only because I like a nice hearty patty... In N Out patties are just way to dinky for me. However, their sauce is better (duh!). Now about the fries! In N Out's fries are way better because they're so fresh and made from scratch. Ok, enough about In N Out. HAHA. I've tried a variety of their shakes and they were all good. Food is decently priced too. But next time, I need to try a hot dog. lol.
google avatar

Breanne B.

Yelp
I got the veggie burger here and it was the most tasteless thing I've ever eaten before. The rest of the family got regular burgers and they also agreed there was no seasoning involved. Maybe our San Diego taste buds are different than National Harbor? When we got our order they weren't even right. I expected a phenomenal burger from the reviews, but was unpleasantly surprised. The woman also running the store that day yelled at everybody saying they ran out of food and everyone needed to be patient, it was actually pretty startling and rude, but we just kept on minding our own business waiting for our food. It was definitely way too expensive and I probably never recommend this place to anybody.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
The purpose of fast food is to be fast. I waited for 2 innings in a small line of about 15 people. Got to the counter only to have to wait 10 minutes for a basic burger. Staff was screwing around the entire time. They had at least 12 people working behind the counter and they couldn't manage to keep up production. The only reason this place stays in business is because of the Shake Shack name.
google avatar

Yelp
Did not think burgers could get this good; I had my fair share of gourmet burgers, like Red Robin and whatnot, but this really takes the cake. Came here on a thursday night, never been to Shake Shack before. In fact, I had never even heard of it up until recently. Simply put, the burgers here are five stars out of five, no exceptions. I actually don't even know how to explain it this time around, but if anyone is looking for a gourmet burger, this is it. The fries were just average; zigzag fries, fried correctly. Tasted great, don't get me wrong, but that's obviously not their forte; it's just to complement the burgers. The shakes were amazing though; I ordered the caramel shake, and it was by far one of the best i have ever had. The consistency at the start was not too thick, so one may easily drink it right off the bat. The line was decently long, about a 5-10 minute wait to order. It would then take about another 5-10 minutes for the order to be served, which isn't too bad. The employees were courteous, and helpful. Price is more expensive than regular burger joints, but that should be obvious by now, due to the quality ingredients they use. It's about $5-7 for the burger, $3~ for the fries, $5~ for the shake. But it's all worth it.

Yelp
Love the burger and the chicken sandwich they came with the perfect toppings and both meats were cooked to perfection. The service was good she gave me the option to pay for my black and white milk shake and pick it up after I finished my meal as a pose to standing in line again which I thought was a great option.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Getting a Shake Shack burger WAS one of my favorite things when seeing a game at Nats Park. Unfortunately, it takes over an entire inning to get thought the line!! The last time they ran out of cooked burgers while 50 orders of fries sat on the counter cooling off. This is what the 5th season SS has been at Nats Park? You would think they would have figured out a better system by now!! This was NEVER an issue when Five Guys was there. Now Don't get me wrong...I love a Shake Shack burger but until they can speed the process Shake Shack Nats Park and are divorced.
google avatar

Heather G.

Yelp
Spent about 45 minutes in line last night from 6:45 - 7:30 PM to get a Shake Stack, a side of fries with cheese (which I got charged extra for extra cheese even though it was just the original cheese to go with the fries), and a large non-souvenir soda. The grand total for this - $21 and change. Granted, my mushroom/regular burger was hot and melty and good but it wasn't good enough to justify the inflated prices for everything at the ballpark. I also didn't appreciate the attitude I got from the cashiers who were having drama with their supervisors and taking it out on me. Menu is extremely limited compared to their locations and also about 25% higher in price. Will not return to this stand the next time I am at Nats Park.
google avatar

Alicia G.

Yelp
Shake Shack is surely a welcome addition to Nationals Park. The line wasn't too long when I arrived on the scene to procure some of their goods. Having already sampled the pulled pork sandwich at Blue Smoke, it was now time for something sweet (aka a shake!) I opted for the black and white shake which was vanilla custard and chocolate sauce. It was smooth and creamy and I tell ya, I did happy sighs between EVERY sip. It was so dang good, I didn't even make it to my seat in section 112 before the whole thing was gone. For $5, it was totally worth it and if I had been by myself, I'd totally have gotten another one and not told anyone.
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Sorry, folks going to have to give Shake Shack a lowly 1 star review. Maybe I hit the Nat's stadium location on an off night but there are no second chances in baseball! Here are my reasons: *I ordered a burger. At first glance my sandwich appeared to be a portobello, not a hamburger. Took a bite. Nope -- LOOKED like a mushroom, felt like a burger. *Gave me a bit of a rumbly tummy after two bites. *Foolish me kept on eating and have had (very) mild food poisoning symptoms ever since. So, you see, no second chances here. Three strikes!

Yelp
I only got the Shack Burger (double) but I gotta say it was awesome. Line is LONG but they move you Fast. Definitely recommend, even if you have to walk for it! It's worth it.

Yelp
The Shake Shack stand at Nationals Stadium is definitely the most popular food vendor...which always translates into really long lines. Despite the inevitable wait, the staff is typically really helpful and quick to serve you up your favorite artery-clogging, zillion-calorie meal (and every calorie tastes soooo gooooood). Get here EARLY to avoid the line - the last two times I was here we decided to wait until halfway through the game which was a big bummer. If you are just ordering a drink, remember that - just like other Shake Shack locations - there is a separate line just for shakes and other drinks. This location definitely deserves 4 stars because of how awesome the staff was to me when I came here 8 months pregnant and really, really needed a shake (I mean, I always can use a shake, but at this point I needed one more desperately!). When I got to the front of the "C" line (for drinks), I was told they were ALL OUT of black and whites shakes. The horror! Another worker came over and, seeing my immense despair, made it a priority to get my shake - I don't know what she did but I left shortly thereafter with a tasty creamy treat to satisfy my cravings. I really like that there is a nice grassy area adjacent to this location so if you come with a kiddo or two, it is easier (in my experience, anyway) to chow down here than to lug everything back to your seat and chance spilling something on yourself...or someone else! I echo everyone else who says that given the immense demand, there should be a second outpost in the stadium...perhaps someday! In the meantime, be early to beat the line.

Yelp
Having just relocated from New York, the 30-minute long wait was nothing compared to the line at the Madison Square Park, Times Square, and Citifield locations. The menu here is the abridged version of the NY menus. When I ordered the Shack Stack, it reminded me of the secret menu at In-and-Out Burgers. Alas, Shack Stack's menu is not so secret because it's publicized on their website. As for the food itself, you can't mess up burgers, deep fried goodies, cheese fries made with processed cheese, and milk shakes.

Yelp
I went to the National's Stadium, not to watch baseball, but to have Shake Shack! And coming from someone who doesn't enjoy eating burgers, Shake Shack is pretty good, albeit I've only had their Shroom burger (a non-burger burger). I've been to the SS in New York, and I'm glad to see it available in my home town. However, is it just me, but the stadium version is SMALLER. Its a high price for a smaller-than-usual shroom burger. Or.. maybe my stomach has just grown bigger.

Yelp
This was my second visit to Shake Shack at the Nats park. I must say that I tried giving it a second chance but it did not wow me at all. The line is super long all the time. I ordered the single cheeseburger with cheese fries and my husband ordered the double with regular fries. They messed up our order the first round and forgot my husband's burger. When my husband received his "correct" burger, it was still made wrong. We didn't want to wait anymore and decided to just head back to our seats. Also, when I want to waste my calories on a fattening cheesy fries side, I expect it to be worth it. Unfortunately, there wasn't much cheese to the cheesy fries. My burger tasted like it came from McDonalds. I'm not sure if this location isn't all that great or if it's chain wide. I plan on exploring the other dining options the next time I'm at the ball park.

Yelp
If you're a fan of Five Guys, skip Shake Shack. It isn't for you. If, however, you agree with me that In-&-Out is the finest fast food hamburger in North America, step right up to the closest thing east of Texas. The double burger- two patties and two slices of cheese- fries topped with melted Velveeta and a black-&-white shake are worth standing in the loooong line for. (Longest line at Nats Park, for a damn good reason) And, yes, its pricier than the Dupont location, but listen up, people; ALL stadiums get a cut of the profits, and ALL concessionaires adjust their prices accordingly. That's just the way it is. Gotta deduct a star, because the Dupont burgers are just a tad bit better. But both Shake Shack locations prove that if In-&-Out ever comes to DC, Five Guys & BGR & Hellburgers & the rest will go out of business.

Yelp
Very nice place to eat. Had a few issues communicating with the staff, but overall nice and helpful. Great shakes and great burgers. Very nice dining room as well--clean and well kept. I recommend trying this place.

Yelp
100 people in line. 25 people "working" (mainly standing around eating and drinking). One person taking orders. 28 minutes to get a shake.

Yelp
After many Nationals games, I finally figured out how to maximize my utility in terms of time, food, and effort. And maximizing my utility includes getting Shake Shack to eat, obviously. OK, so here's what I recommend. For a 7:05 game, get to the stadium around 6:45. Immediately head to the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk to the left and up (across from Shake Shack). Get a $5 beer before the first pitch. Then get in line for Shake Shack. The line will be long (ugh), but it moves quickly, and waiting before the game starts is better than missing a game-changing homer in the 3rd inning. Get your food, and head to your seats. Optional snack and/or bathroom break around the 7th inning. I knocked off a star from regular (non-stadium) Shake Shack because this one is more expensive. Understandable because food is always more expensive in stadiums and theme parks, but it's more expensive nonetheless. I paid $11 for a shackburger and fries, but I will say that the portion of fries is generous. The taste is in keeping with the non-stadium locations, which is to say excellent. The line moved quickly and the service was pleasant, again on-brand for them. I don't think I would spend 2 innings waiting for this food (Blue Smoke is also really good), but it's worth it if a) you can get in line before the game starts, b) you just don't care about the game, or c) if the line is short (never going to happen, so mainly just a or b). Well done, Shake Shack. You are a bright spot in the Nats Stadium food offerings.

Yelp
Nothing is better than a Shack Burger! Great fries too. Hot dogs can be a little dry sometimes.

Yelp
First disclaimer - I only had ice cream/custard. And it was DELICIOUS! I was with a few other Yelp participants who told me how wonderful Shake Shack was, so I took a chance. They had burgers as well, and said they were good, but I am the type of girl who likes to trust only her own taste buds when writing reviews. It's a little small, but that because it's so crowded. I am sure had they anticipated how popular it would be they might have done the set up differently to accommodate more people/seating. It's also a little pricy. Which is neither here nor their, but when I'm really hungry a $2 half smoke from sorta dirty truck is just as good if not better. LOL Right near Dupont circle it's great for foot traffic after bar hopping, or a stop in if you work downtown. Rumor has it the lines can get LONG. We waited a mere 15/20 minutes from entering to having out food. Apparently, that's making good time. I have a feeling if I would have had to wait longer and not had friends to distract me, this review might not have been so kind. I am impatient at times.

Yelp
Is it good yes, but it's 45 minutes in the line, that's 3 innings. If you want it that bad go to Union Station. Maybe come before the game, but kind of self defeating.

Yelp
Thy could double their sales here if they had staff that hustled. Sloth-like service and therefore very long wait.

Yelp
NOTE: This review is about the service not the quality of the food. I'm normally a fan of shake shack but my recent experience left a lot to be desired service-wise. We came to a game on a night when the stadium wasn't that crowded and we were just going to get dessert, so we didn't think we'd have to wait long. We were first in the dessert line, but even so, we waited for 15 minutes because there was no one at the register. As we waited, the line grew behind us so that there were at least 20 people waiting just for dessert by the time we left. Despite there being multiple people standing around doing nothing behind the register, we were told that the cashier was in the bathroom and we just had to wait for her to get back. Finally, someone went to find her and they both came back (walking slowly and not sorry at all for holding up the line). No one expressed remorse at all for not serving customers for 15 minutes, which was the worst part. I normally love Shake Shack, but I'll probably choose a different vendor next time I'm at Nats Park.
