I took my Gibson Explorer, Fender J Mascis Jazzmaster Burgundy sparkle and Ampeg ADA6 Plexi Guitar for set up. They look and sound amazing! Turnover time is also on point! They also repaired my Parker Fly Deluxe that has a buzzing sound! Highly recommended! The services are reasonably priced!

Prices are fair and lower than most other shops around and the quality is top notch. Both of my guitars were quite playable before I dropped them off for upgrades, but the setup that Tom did just blew my mind. Practice is key but get your guitar set up here for a step closer to the Lamborghini.

I have taken every type of guitar there. A couple cheap ones, some nice ones, some garbage I built. Each and every time they have treated the job and the instruments with care and respect. Every time the set up was exactly what I wanted. Always upfront about lead time and usually done early. Will continue to go back.

I recently got my 20 year old guitar set up for the first time since I bought it. I found ths Shake Shop in my neighborhood and spoke with Tom on the phone. He quoted me a very reasonable price, was able to take the guitar in immediately and promised a 3 day turnaround. I was thrilled to get a call from Tom 2 days later telling me it was ready. My guitar plays better than I ever remember it. He thoroughly cleaned it, including the wiring and all internals. He fixed a crazy forward bow and perfected the intonation. He was super friendly and exceeded my expectations. I can't recommend this shop enough. A much larger chain store quoted me a much higher price and a longer turnaround. Ill be taking all my guitars in to this shop in the future.

Great work for fair prices from nice dudes—you can't go wrong. I've brought in a couple amps and guitars over the years and both Tom and Matt are skilled and communicative.

Judging from a sign outside, I think this place is going to be going by a new name soon, but today it is "Shake Shop." I was told the tune-up I got would take about a week, and about a week and a half later my guitar was ready. I've had this instrument for more than a decade and I was delighted to see how well it came out. The fretboard looked and felt better than it has in a long time, the action on the strings was set at a great level for me, and the intonation is dead-on according to my tuners at home. The guy (I forget his name) let me plug into an amp and fiddle around for a minute, and offered to make any tweaks I wanted done, which I thought was really nice of him. This shop has simple, clear customer service and the price I paid for the service was incredibly fair. I'll be coming back here next time I need some work done. Skip the big box place and bring your guitar here.
