Where to Have Afternoon Tea in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Hands down the most authentic British afternoon tea in town, Shakespeare’s generous spread includes sausage rolls with Branston pickle and scones with real Devon double cream. In addition to the afternoon tea ($29.95) and cream tea ($14.95), special event teas based on English themes, like Agatha Christie, Dr. Who and Harry Potter, are held throughout the year. Perfect for picnics, afternoon and cream teas can also be ordered ahead and boxed up to go." - Keri Bridgwater

Shakespeare’s Corner Shoppe provides “Everything from Britain without the weather.” Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff! The Shoppe features full British and Irish groceries, candies, English bakery with baked foods, English café patio, souvenirs, clothing, china, and English bone china rental. Delicious, fresh-baked, authentic British Scones, Cornish Beef Pasty, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The covered patio provides a cozy spot to enjoy traditional British delicacies and teas. The Shoppe also features delightfully British, traditional Afternoon Tea at The Britannia Tearooms. The Shoppe is adjacent to the Shakespeare Pub.

Had a wonderful afternoon having English breakfast tea with some amazing Cornish pasties and sausage rolls. I definitely recommend it.

Very nice shop packed full of items usually only found in the UK. Great selection of snacks, condiments, canned and jarred goods, teas and tea infusers. There is a refrigerated section of cheeses and pastries. The frozen section has an amazing selection, including Shepherd's pie, Steak & Kidney pie, bangers, puddings, and pastries. The employees are very friendly and eager to answer questions and make suggestions. The prices have increased a bit, but it is still a great shop. This trip we got a Matthew Walker Christmas pudding and a jar of Gale's Lemon Curd. Both were very good.

Every single aspect of our Tea was exceptional. The food and tea were both delicious. SO many courses, arrive hungry. They are small bites but that is deceiving. We ate every single thing and were positively stuffed! The service was wonderful, the waitress was very knowledgeable and answered all our food/tea/culture questions! The shop inside is a ton of fun. We purchased more tea, some brittish snacks and candies too! They have hand pies inside. We will be sure to purchase those the next time we're in town.

High tea at Shakespeare is one of my favorite things to do in San Diego. The teas and treats are yummy and presentation is always adorable. The ladies who go dress to impress and they do some really fun theme teas as well. I went to a Harry Potter themed tea in October and the decorations were amazing!

Google
I wanted to try traditional afternoon tea and was not disappointed. Luckily for me, I manage to get a reservation on last minute. They offered almost sixty varieties of tea. Food was excellent and service was too. Only drawback will be too much caffeine as you enjoy the tea.

My kids have gone here multiple times- for tea, for snacks, for tea set shopping- and the staff have always been extremely courteous and kind. The store itself is quaint and the goods for sale are high quality, albeit relatively pricey. 5/5 ☕🍵🍬

Google
Perfect cozy afternoon tea. It was all lovely! I used to go to tea when visiting family in Canada. Most of the tea places I have been to in the US are kitschy, But this one was nice and didn't feel hokey. Lots of tea choices. The food has options for vegetarians and vegans, so that was appreciated by my friend who prefers vegetarian meals.

Yelp
Afternoon tea was delicious. The scones were perfection. Also, it's located in a small british shoppe. It's how Afternoon tea should be. I just wish it was closer to where I live.

Yelp
I can`t actually send you a review as I`m in west Devon England. The home of the Devon Cream Tea. The monks at Tavistock Abbey served cream teas in the 1300`s to travellers walking across Dartmoor. Anyway to the confused out there the PROPER Devon tea scones, it`s Cream then Jam. I`m trying to persuade my friends from Vista to have cream tea with you.. Best wishes from the origin of Devon Cream Teas.

Yelp
Quality, amazing tea. I go out of my way to visit whenever I can, beacuse they have flavors I can't find anywhere else. If you are a fan of English food, they have imported English treats that you can't get just anywhere else.

Yelp
This is a very cool English shop and tea garden. Well, it does not have a garden, but there's a very nice patio right in front. I picked up a few scones while I was here. I wanted a coffee too, but they do not offer it, just tea. The cherry and almond scones were quite good. I really like scones that come with some sort of nut and berry. These were great. The shop has a variety of imported British goods and nick knacks. I liked the variety of cookies and chocolates they offer. It's a very cool place and customer service is very friendly. Check out the cones!

Yelp
I've always wanted to have afternoon tea here but never had the chance. I've seen alot of people celebrate their bridal showers here and it's very cute. Our friends just came back from Ireland and wanted to make us a proper Irish breakfast. They found out Shakespere sells all the items they needed to make it. The store also sells candies and teas they found in Ireland too. It's such a cute little store. Lots of cute and fun souvenirs too.

Yelp
VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Shakespeare no longer does afternoon tea. We made a reservation and came to the India street location and were informed that they now serve their afternoon tea at Britannia Tea Shoppe about 19 minutes away. Their shoppe is lovely full of wonderful British groceries and candy!

Yelp
First time at this tea room. Service was exceptional. Seating is outside, which in San Diego isn't a problem. There were lots of spider webs up high near the rafters which doesn't lend to a totally comfortable experience. The three tier presentation was very nice. There were only a couple of items we didn't care for. That's not to say others might enjoy them. The teas were delicious. We like to try tea rooms whenever we go on vacation.

Yelp
I was going to a show at the NCT right next door and wanted to see why 20 people just passed me and went right in to Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe. I walked in and saw why. They were on a mission to get candy and snacks, which there are plenty of inside Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe. Definitely an English theme, all kinds of knickknacks, Tchotchkes, teas and foods from Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe. Friendly staff, plenty of stuff to choose from. There is street parking nearby, and it is located upstairs.

Yelp
Had a pleasant experience here with some friends for afternoon tea. Make sure to call in advance for a reservation! Allot time to find street parking or pay $5 for 4 hours of valet. Walk up the stairs as you would to go to Shakespeare's Pub and you'll see the Corner Shoppe on the left. I walked to the back of the store to check-in with the cashiers. Was nice to browse the selection of imported goods. Alas an employee let me know our table was ready. The table was gorgeously set with high quality dishware. The menus were affixed to our chairs. There's a plethora of tea options. I opted for the London Fog. High quality and flavorful, served in a beautiful pink kettle. The food was a delight. We began with a creamy tomato bisque. Very savory and rich. Even had a bit of kick from spice! Next, a three tier tower of sandwiches, pastries, and a scone. Finally, a dessert course featuring a mini cupcake, cookie, and raspberry parfait. Super great. We were absolutely stuffed by the end. A fantastic mix of savory and sweet options. The service was solid as well. The menu rotates every month. Pricing comes out to about $55/person with tax and tip. Check it out if you're looking for afternoon tea!

Yelp
We went on a dreary windy cold day and I was concerned that the tea service was on the patio. However I was pleasantly surprised that the setup protected us from both the rain and the wind. There was an overhead heater, but unfortunately it didn't reach us all the way...just barely on one side...but we were provided with blankets to use if needed. Tea was delicious. We tried the Irish whiskey, across the room and strawberry shortcake flavors. Food was tasty, but I was a little disappointed that they substituted a few items from the listed menu. Service was great...the gentleman said he was pretty new, but he was polite and helpful. All in all it was an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Love this place! It's fun to shop here for unique gifts, in addition to the wide range of teas. They have, fortunately, begun adding a couple of gluten free pastries to the menu.

Yelp
Thank you, Yelp, for this discovery! I visited their website first to make sure they were legit. They're so funny - the website is covered in British flags. Ok, I got it! I called to make a reservation because I couldn't do it online. (Maybe this needs to change with the times.) Even though I called 26 days in advance, the 11 AM slot on a Saturday was full. I had to opt for my second choice at 1:30 PM. It wasn't until I got there that I realized why they're so "popular". They only have like 4 tables that seat 2-4 people each. The parking lot is ridiculously small. I got lucky only because someone was leaving as I was entering. In case you're not lucky, you should come here early to find parking on the street, which is pretty difficult too. They share a space with a pub, so you just have to go behind the pub to find their patio. One of the signs said to check in at the counter, but a server was able to help us anyway. The afternoon tea set in February 2022 was about $34 per person. You get to choose one tea from an extensive list. They even have some special character ones. Someone in my party got the Dr Who - Tardin tea, and it was blue! There is milk and sugar on the table. There are heaters to keep your tea warm! They bring out a stand with everyone's food on it. The top tier started with appetizers, scones, and then the desserts. I liked everything, really! I couldn't finish all the tea or the food, but they gave us boxes to pack the food home. I wonder if we were able to take the tea home.. Anyway, I loved seeing the teapots around the patio and how they decorated them with flowers. I think the mesh tarp made my photos come out orange-ish, but I appreciated them for blocking the sun. The other two ladies in my party said they loved the experience and would come back too! Also, their shop is FULL of stuff. Give yourself time to browse if it's your first time!

Yelp
Shakespeare's is a wonderful setting to enjoy afternoon tea. They are, quite understandably, busy with available reservations out a few weeks at a time. When I was able to snag a reservation, I was thrilled. The service was attentive. The tea selection is huge. I got the Baronness Grey as I'm a fan of Earl Grey and floral notes. Loved this tea. I also like that they have a tea warmer (it's a candle in a tin, be careful not to set your menu or phone on this). The sandwiches were fresh, scones warm, and presentation beautiful. What's even better is that you can go into their shoppe and grab goodies for home or a gift. Our server let us know that another location will be opening up that will have more tables so that even more people will be able to enjoy the afternoon tea experience. Looking forward to it!

Yelp
It's our first time trying out this place. It's in a nice home-looking building, very refreshing inside since it' felt like I'm enjoying tea in my own patio kind of vibe. The lady who served our teas and snacks were very nice and knowledgeable on the teas they're serving. I was surprised on how good their portions are on the delicacies and desserts, I actually came out of the experience pretty full. Parking can be hard as it needs to be side street parking.

Yelp
My baby cousin was in town to visit me and I knew I had to take her to an unique experience. But it was such a short notice. I really wanted to take her to afternoon tea but reservations were so hard to come by! There's only 4 tables here! But luckily I was added to the waitlist and would receive a text if I got off it. As the days pass by, I was able to get off the list!!!! They have been so accommodating in the phone because we were celebrating her birthday and they made sure about our food allergies. The experience itself was so cute. We each could choose our teas and have our own pot. There is a set menu every month and I loved it so so so much I highly recommend for gal pal time, a date or celebrating something.

Yelp
You have to come here at least once I came here expecting to still be hungry afterwards I was stuffed. The servers were all very friendly and made sure everyone had everything they could possibly need. Amazing tea and great little treats.

Yelp
Cheers! A uniquely hidden gem practically in the heart of San Diego. Bustling British style pub full of ex-pats and as many Yanks too, offering assorted British beers, pub grub and fun. Next door finds the "Supermarket" chock full of British, Scottish, Welsh and Irish products. On premises, Shakespeare's Corner produces an afternoon English Tea with 3 seatings daily. It offers a delightful wide-ranging selection of fine tea's, accompanied by assorted finger sandwiches, pastries, scones, jams, clotted cream and curd in the tradition of "high tea", yet offered on their covered/sheltered patio. Service is excellent, prepared on premises foods are authentic, delicious and generous. Reservations are a must. It's an experience that we enjoy returning to every time we visit San Diego.

Yelp
Super cute tea cafe with a course of finger sandwiches, cakes and savory tartlets the teas were unique and all of them paired well with the food. We walked out of there with a Black Forest tea to take home it is magical, tasty chocolate and cherry in a tea. Nice service and cute tea warmers, a quaint experience. We'll be back for your themed events!

Yelp
When we were kids we ate here. When we turned 21 senior year we drank here. I have so many memories with high school buddies here. Favorite meals: Fish & Chips Favorite desert: Apple Dumpling Favorite beverage: Liquid It wasn't until I was a proper married lady when I went into the shop and found amazing confections. I see myself stimulating the economy there this week.

Yelp
Greatest new discovery. I love tea and this place has so many to choose from. I want to come to their tea party. There is a pub in the front and a tea house/gift store in the back. They have themed tea parties in certain days like Alice in wonderland. I like how you can get tea to go to drink there. You chose from any flavor. They have cute names. I tried the paddington bear and the rabbit. My favorite was the paddington. You can get your tea with milk and sugar if preferred. Awesome spot can't wait to come back.

Yelp
This place was everything I needed it to be Came here for my husband's birthday during our weekend in SD. He loves a tea party like this and we do not do them often in LA so I had high hopes. We came with a large party and made a reservation well ahead of time. I'm glad we do because there were only 2.5 tables available so they fill up fast. They have such a large selection of tea, and I'm sure every one of them is good. I went for a cucumber melon tea bc I know my husband doesn't like cucumber so he would leave mine alone for the most part. It was delicious. All the 7 teapots in our group were different and so pretty. We had the fall menu which surprisingly filled us all up and we even took some to go. Sure, all the food wasn't a 5/5, but you're not going here FOR the egg salad sandwich ya know? You come for the experience, which was lovely. (All the desserts were spectacular though of course!)

Yelp
Stopped by this cute shop after spending the afternoon at the pub across the way, and I was so pleasantly surprised by the array of Brit items offered. Everything from Walkers crisps to Cadbury treats, Digestives, PG Tips and homemade baked goods (fresh and warm at the counter or available to purchase frozen). As a vegetarian I was thrilled to see a veggie sausage roll offered! We ordered the cheese, onion and mash pasty and a jumbo sausage roll. Both were authentic, affordable, and absolutely delicious. I am so excited to have found a shop that sells all of my favorite goodies from across the pond. The tea room on the porch looked adorable and we will certainly be back for a sit-down experience. Excellent hospitality!

Yelp
Great amazing collection of British fare I have seen. Love the Scones freshly made at the shop with clotted cream purchased from the fridge. Definitely will be coming here!

Yelp
Made reservations two weeks in advance for a Friday 1:30pm seating. A credit card was needed to hold the reservation, and 24 hour cancellation needed in order to not be charged. There is also a small parking lot on premises. We arrived for our reservation early so we browsed their cute little shop. The patio where the tea service is located is small and only has 5 tables. During our visit, only 3 tables were in use which may be to ensure physical distancing. The tea service consisted of a set menu. Hardest part was in choosing which tea to get as each person can order their own pot. This is in addition to sampling their tea of the month, which was Strawberry Shortcake. There were 3 of us, so we ordered Vanilla black tea (great vanilla flavor), White Coconut Cream (a lighter tea with notes of coconut), and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (needed to let this one steep just a tad longer to really get the chocolate flavors). Enjoyed each of our teas. Also thoroughly enjoyed our tea service overall. Stand outs for me were the poached pear and manchego sandwich, the scones (OMG! So good!), and the Lemon Elderflower sponge cake. My kiddo is a vegetarian (which they provided substitutes for) and she really enjoyed the fruit salad tea sandwich (served in place of the Chicken Waldorf sandwich) and the vegetarian roll (served in place of the sausage roll). SIL's fave was the quiche and sausage roll with that Branston pickle. Service was great and we really enjoyed our time here. Would love to return for one of their themed tea services.

Yelp
Stop over at Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe for High Tea to sip, savor and sample sandwiches and scones, sweet and savory alike, it's the stuff of Sonnets! You don't have to cross the pond for this one! From the British Emerald Isles to San Diego's backyard: Little Italy, Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe takes the cake! ...And tea, and scones :) . What a treat this experience was. The Shoppe's back patio brought to mind a quaint British cottage. I was so impressed with Shakespeare's' style, and menu, with little signs and epithets on and beneath every side and surface! I selected the Coconut Cacao tea and had a plethora of finger foods and sweets off of the set menu. My favorite savory sampler was a goat cheese quiche, sweet, the scone, with its creamy and fruity spread. Ne'er before, had I sampled a scone, so rich and flaky and light! It was both sweet and savory and buttery, with bits of fruit and just the right dash of salty. I was also very impressed with the servers who knew the tea and treat menu so well, listing off the creamy "Harry and Meaghan " tea and all the notes in its fruity flavor and every variety in the finger food stand of quiches, cucumber and chicken sandwiches, passing to and fro with quick, British aplomb. This place is sweeet and I'm a fan!

Yelp
Went to Shakespeare's Corner Shoppe in San Diego for tea yesterday. Went there from Los Angeles on the train. Got off the train at Old Town San Diego. Took the Green Line trolley from Old Town to the next stop south, Washington Street. Walked three blocks northeast on Washington Street (it's uphill) to India Street and then a few doors down India Street. India Street is a very interesting street to walk along. Looked around a bit in the shop before having tea. There are many hard to find things there, including tea cozys. The tea menu selections change every month and are shown on their website under events. Everything we had yesterday was very good. The tea started with soup, followed by a three tiered server filled with many things, and then dessert. Ate everything except the sausage rolls. Took the sausage rolls back to Los Angeles with me for the dog. Always take any sausage rolls back with me for the dog.

Yelp
The Britannia Tea Room is newly open. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The tearoom was not full. But our party of 3 was seated in the farthest back corner right against the wall. I could not get out without the other person standing up. We ordered tea and we're give. The stated menu. Some of which was not brought to us. We had to ask. We were given 3 small sandwiches each. A small cucumber salad to start. The scones were dry. Syllabub and 2 small tarts for afters. It was a bit disappointing for $50.00 each. Hoping it improves. The bathrooms were fun. Decorated in Harry Potter theme. Would be great for children.

Yelp
Wow so much fun!! Really good food and desserts. The tea was amazing. I tried the coconut cream tea and wow!!!! I was blown away!! The theme was lord of the tings and they nailed it. Small but covid friendly patio. This place is hard to get reservations for due to them being only able to have 4 active tables at a time. So book in advance!

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my experience here for my birthday celebration. Everything was ornate and beautifully displayed. They were able to accommodate to my dietary restrictions with a vegan spread and the service was delightful. I cannot wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here twice for afternoon tea and enjoyed both times. The service is superb (and I do not use this word often) and tea selections are amazing! Come early and browse the store for treats from the UK before your afternoon tea.
google avatar

Rachael C.

Yelp
I go here on occasion to pick up British candy. Since Everything bright and British left La Mesa, I make the trek here. Parking right now isn't too bad during the pandemic, but when everything is normal it can be hard to find a spot. Everything close in metered. The place is small but they have a good selection and the staff is nice. In the past I have noticed sometimes the candy is very close to the expiration date, but my last visit all was good. It can be pricey, as anything coming from overseas does, but as a treat every now and then I would recommend it. They do have a minimum order to use a card. I believe it is $10.00 One day I will try their tea service
google avatar

Carmel G.

Yelp
Such a fun and cute place if you're ever missing the UK. Their store is full of imported British treats and souviners. Highly reccomend snagging a (very limited) reservation for the afternoon tea service. I went on my birthday and really enjoyed the unique teas and pastries. And this is coming from a tea snob. Love how the theming is different every few weeks.
google avatar

Kat G.

Yelp
My review is only for the food and the shop as I ordered a pair of afternoon teas to go so I cannot comment on the service. This place is adorable! The store is packed so take your time - filled to the brim with everything from UK flag-covered aprons to Jelly Babies to clotted cream and scones. The staff were friendly and prompt when I came to pick up the afternoon tea to-go. How was the tea? Delicious!! I ordered two for a celebration for my dad at home and he was blown away. Everything came neatly packaged with a few cute garnishes. Setting it up was as simple as opening containers and laying it out neatly on a couple trays. Each course isn't large on its own but all together is a good meal. We were both full by the time we reached the last sweet. Every dish was a hit! The serving of tea that came with each was enough for at least 3 cups. We tried the Decaf Apricot and Peach tea and the Sherlock Holmes, both of which were aromatic and tasty. The cons (there aren't many): Parking is a pain during busy times since their lot is small and other businesses mean street parking is sparse; allow an extra 10 minutes to find a spot. If you're just picking up or hopping briefly there are some short term spots that may be open. The website is a bit difficult if you're ordering to go and trying to check the menu or tea flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely place to have tea with a friend. A proper tea. My daughter (who likes in the UK) bought me a gift certificate for tea for two. It was charming, the experience was pleasant & the food & tea quite tasty. This is a great alternative to a boring lunch!

Yelp
Having gone to this splendid tearoom for the last four years and reviewed all the negative posts, I must commemorate how this small spot has had big improvements overtime. Complainers made we're off claimed poor quality of furniture and food, but I have found these pointless compared to the shop and staffs outstanding derives. They even have social media updates and always update themes! What I am most grateful for is the owners honesty, helping me save over $500 deposit for a year. My wife and I reserved for Mother's Day, but COVID came. We asked if we can reschedule, and the management saved notes to do so. This year, the ladies of my family had a splendid reunion and the nicest prettiest little tea room you can find. Mind you, we are from LA county.

Yelp
I love love coming here. Book ahead for a delightful afternoon high tea. The seating is very limited and intimate on their very cute patio. Dont plan to bring more than one or two friends because the tables are small. Every one of the teas have been delicious. The owner is British so all the small bites served, mini sandwiches and other authentic British dishes I dont have names for are all legit. Its always nice getting to taste things on their rotating menu. I prefer to come during one of the themed teas. My personal choices are LOTR or Harry Potter. The staff all dress in costumes, the owner reads fun facts about the movies and does a game of challenging trivia. The teas and dishes during themed days are also named accordingly per the movie. Its super fun. High tea might feel a bit pricey but it is very worth it and have found very few items that I didnt enjoy. Note high tea has a set menu for food but you may choose which ever of their very extensive tea list you want. The teas come out in antique style pots over little candles. This is a must do at least once.

Yelp
This was my second visit after my initial visit all the way back in 2015 and I was thoroughly impressed with how consistent they kept up with everything including quality of food, service and professionalism. If you want the complete English tea experience I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time and ordering the afternoon tea set that has assorted finger sandwiches, scones, soup, pastries and a pot of tea. There's so much food you'll leave feeling very satisfied but you'll still be able to try a variety of foods so you won't get tired of eating one thing. Everything is so delicately laid out and they have such cute little touches to decorations and foods here and there. When you walk into the store they'll walk you through all the teas you can select from and when your table is ready they will guide you there. They explain all the foods that are on the trays but they'll probably lose you halfway through because you'll be staring at all the food in front of you calling your name. They sell frozen scones and clotted cream as well as other imported food items you can purchase inside too. They also have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available if you have any dietary restrictions. Just make sure to let them know ahead of time. They were kind enough to call me the day before and verify if all the reservation info was correct. Great job being consistently amazing throughout the years!!

Yelp
Can't go wrong with this place. Getting reservation is the most difficult part once you do it it's a win ! :) I would like to come here more often. We have been to many afternoon teas. The Harry Potter theme makes it quite an experience. Food, tea and service is excellent of coarse!

Yelp
Just popped in on 12/23 to see if they had a few things that I was unable to source for Xmas. Amazingly they still had mincemeat and Xmas puddings!! The prices were obviously way higher than in the UK, but cheaper than World Market. I will be going back again.

Christine M.

Yelp
The store has a great selection and always has what I want/need. It is a little pricey but I also understand it's imported. The service is ok. Not above and beyond but sufficient.

We made reservations a week before we went for tea. I honestly did not know what to expect since this was my first time going to tea. We were there 15 minutes early, so we decided to go into the store and shop around. There were a lot of British treats and teas that I wanted to buy, but I didn't know how they taste. They called us and we sat at the table near the railing. There was a bunch of tea options and me and my friend each got a pot of tea. I got the Mad Hatter. The teapots were gorgeous, I actually felt regal. I almost never ask milk to my tea, but I knew it was a custom to do that. I like tea with milk now :) All the treats that came afterwards were delicious! The ladies were sweet and attended to us in a hospitable way. Room for Improvement: The tables were smaller and it felt like there wasn't enough room for everything.

Yelp
Very cute - lovely decor, plenty of good teas to choose from, staff was VERY friendly and accommodating, the scones were the best I've ever had, and the tea service was delectable. Highly recommend - I would def go back!

Yelp
Lovely afternoon Tea! Great choices, and the best part is they do a full Vegan menu as well, dessert included. It was delish! Another great surprise was that they allow you to choose your tea, most afternoon teas do not, so that was nice. Friendly service, and lots of goodies to shop for after as well. Great time for a birthday, shower or to experience something different.

Yelp
Awesome little shop. Service was great!! What the shop lacks in square footage makes up for it with products. This place has more things in it than most little shops in England!! We had dinner across the way at the bar. If the bar wasn't able to accommodate us (which they did) you could easily make a meal out of hot and ready food they had ready to go!!

Yelp
Wow! We got the vegan offering of afternoon tea. Truly amazing. The tea options are overwhelming! Fortunately, they could not have been more accommodating. Each person in the party gets to pick their own tea! The vegan offering began with a small starter- a tasty polenta crisp with hummus and pickled beets. The tea party consisted of so many delicious things! A curry cream cheese fingers sandwich, feta cucumber sandwich, sausage rolls, artichoke puff pastry, scones and jams, cupcakes, chocolate, oat bars. Really just a huge variety. And all vegan, it couldn't have been better. Thank you, Corner tea shoppe!

Yelp
This place will exceed your expectations! My girlfriend and I were looking for a great high tea place and ended up booking this. They have vegan options! It was Harry Potter themed and they made it super cute. There was so much food, and then explained it all. I'm not the biggest tea fan, my girlfriend is, so when we got our tea and I wasn't a fan, they exchanged it no problem. The staff was very nice and the experience was well worth it!

Yelp
In addition to serving a wonderful and authentic high tea, they have delectable British snacks and goodies for sale at the shop! They have a selection of British chips, candies and cookies including Chocolate McViitties. They also have homemade treats, such as classic and yummy Bakewell tarts, sausage rolls and Scottish eggs. They also have British kitchen hand towels and tea cups.... A wonderful place to dine and shop!!
