A Comprehensive Guide to Classic Restaurants and Bars in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Shakey’s Pizza was THE hangout for us kids — just down from the Red Rock movie theater, the short walk between the pizza joint and the theaters was packed on weekends and it was the place to see and be seen." - Eater Staff

Not the Shakey’s I know and love before. It no longer brings joy. The pasta is bland, and it’s like every pizza just tastes the same. Even the mojos are sad tasting. Something doesn’t feel right. And for its hefty pricing, you deserve so much better than this.

They're Back! Sorta. Shakey's has parked a bus - kitchen, + set up some tables, in the parking lot next to it's resto, that was blown up + destroyed, as a result of a gas leak, next door. Shakey's is trying this new set up to save their staff + their customers. Starting today, Sept. 28, Shakey's will experiment with opening at 10am + closing at 9pm, 7 days a week. They now have a limited temporary menu0, which is shown above or maybe below. lol 😆

I ordered a Super Plate for two, which included a bunch of lunch, chicken parmigiana, and mozzarella sticksand two iced teas. The first item that arrived at our table was the mojos, followed by the plated meals. I then asked the waitress if the mozzarella sticks were still coming, but she informed us that they were no longer available and that the mojos served were meant to replace the mozzarella sticks. I explained to her that it would have been better if customers were informed ahead of time, before the orders arrived, especially if an item was unavailable.

Last order was at 8:30pm. We came in at 8:34pm and i asked them if they could accommodate me since i came from a very long drive and was super hungry. Thankfully they did! Thank you so much Shakey’s! My favorite since I was a child. Exceptional customer satisfaction.

Shakey's has been one of my favourite pizza and been to their other branches from Cebu, Luzon and Mindanao. My husband and I are so disappointed with our recent experienced. The staff were not friendly as if they are forced to come to work. As always, pizza is taste really good but overpriced. I don't think we will be coming back to this branch. By far, this is the only branch that's not friendly at all.

First of all, these waitresses are absolutely clueless about what they’re doing. I get it—life is hard, we all have our bad days, but that’s NO excuse for the complete lack of professionalism. Don’t give me that “15 minutes” nonsense when you’re clearly not even trying to keep up with the actual wait times. Every time, it’s the same thing. "Just 15 minutes," they say, and then it's at least DOUBLE that, sometimes even longer. I sat there starving for 30 minutes, looking at the clock tick by, getting hungrier and more frustrated by the second. The chefs were cooking (if you can call it that) and I could see the kitchen working, but the worst part? My food ended up sitting on the counter, exposed and swarmed by flies, while the waitresses stood around chatting like everything was just fine. Are they even aware that I’m still waiting? Do they not see me sitting there, eyes burning with hunger, while they all giggle and scroll on their phones? It’s infuriating! I know I'm not the only one who notices it, so why does it feel like the staff doesn’t care at all? And honestly, how is it even possible that FIVE—yes, FIVE—waitresses are needed to input my damn pizza order? FIVE people standing around, doing NOTHING, and the result is still the same mess. Why does it take a full team just to punch a few buttons into a computer? I didn’t sign up for this kind of incompetence. If I wanted to waste my time watching people mess around and waste resources, I could just stay home! What’s even more frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. There’s no apology, no sense of urgency, no effort to make things right. It’s like the staff doesn’t care at all about the experience I’m having as a customer. Instead of doing their jobs, they’re off in their own little world, not even acknowledging the long lines, the cold food, or the fact that customers are clearly being neglected. This isn’t just a one-time issue either—it happens every single time. I swear, it’s like I’m being punished for even stepping foot in that place. It’s beyond unacceptable. I’m done with this nonsense.

Upon entering, we weren't greeted or guided to a table, despite staff noticing our arrival. We had to find a table ourselves, which unfortunately hadn't been cleaned. We had to flag down a waiter for menus and table cleaning. However, the server who eventually assisted us was friendly, though they did make a mistake with one of our pizza orders, which could have been avoided with a quick confirmation of our selections. Overall, considering the overrated prices and the availability of more delicious and affordable options nearby, we're hesitant to return. We recommend investing in additional customer service training for your staff.

should’ve known what was not available in their menu before getting our orders. The reasoning that because it was already late (8:20) therefore there are unavailable menu isn’t quite right given that they close at 9pm
