"While Tom’s is the most obvious choice for breakfast on Washington Ave. in Prospect Heights, there’s a lesser known but still solid diner down the street called Shane’s Brooklyn that’s well worth it for shaking things up or if the line is simply too long at Tom’s. It skews more Southern in its diner offerings, with dishes like chicken and waffles and fish and grits. There are more simple eggs and omelette options, and a very filling hanger steak with eggs. And the sweet tea is approved by this Virginia transplant!" - Eater Staff

Visited Shane's on son's suggestion on Monday 12/30. The hostess was fantastic and staff pleasant. However, $69 (with 15% tip) for breakfast is expensive. I ordered the big breakfast and coffee (with cheddar added to the eggs, which was almost undetectable in sight or taste. Food was served lukewarm and the waffle barely that. Not only that the waffle wasn't soft. I did not eat it. My biggest issue was the price vs portion size. I must note that the FANTASTIC hostess satisfactorily explained the selection and lack of a full sized waffle. She also offered to remake the 1/2 waffle, but I declined. Other items being served looked good, specifically the fried fish and grit options, which looked plentiful and are less expensive (circa $17). I do plan to give the place another chance as the staff was very nice. But I am wiser to the big breakfast choice.

Amazing pancakes, I love this place for a nice hearty breakfast! I ordered the deluxe breakfast that comes with your choice of meat, pancakes waffles or French toast, grits, and eggs. Delicious!!! The grits weren’t my favorite so next time I’ll probably swap those for fruit or something.

It's unfortunate that I've rated this Black Owned Brunch establishment this low, especially since we hadn't patronized this restaurant prior. The food was great. I'm sooooo disappointed with the service we received. Instead of bashing, I hope this reaches those it should and that it would be received as constructive criticism. We were warmly greeted when we entered. It wasn't crowded. The atmosphere felt nostalgic, clean, and compartmentalized (the entryway, hostess area, the bar, the 1st dining section, down a small staircase, and then another dining area, which had 2 sides. We were ushered to the very rear. Nearly 10 mins before the waiter greeted our table. Her 1st visit, we weren't ready to order beyond beverages, water came to the table thereafter. About the 20 min mark, another staff (unsure if it was a waitress) who came to check on us citing our server was busy. It was busy, and we witnessed the surrounding tables seated and some that had even finished dining while we waited. Our orders went in on her 2nd visit, then our drinks came but they weren't ours actually. My son sipped his apple juice so they let him keep it. We waited some more. An hour; that's the total wait time before our food reached us! All of the surrounding tables were served before ours. Two specifically just about walked in and was tended to within 15 mins, and their meals received 10-15 mins after that. Unacceptable. We checked in at the ½ hour mark and was told our orders got mixed up, and by then we received the correct drinks. How?? Mixed up with whom?? And for how long?? Had the right mind to get up and leave but gave them a chance. Wasn't rude or anything, just highly disappointed trying to make sense of the dilemma. As a courtesy, they offered 15% off the bill, then turned around and added 15% later down the bill. I questioned it. They reduced it again, slightly. Please see the difference pictured. Left her nearly 15% tip anyhow and politely gave a heads up about my pending review that I was asked to reconsider. No, thank you, though I'll give them another chance at a later date.

I absolutely love coming to this restaurant anytime I’m in the area. It is a small restaurant but the food has BIG taste. The drinks are great and worth the money. I usually get the piña colada mimosa and something like a Henny Island punch (I can’t remember the actual name of the drink off the top of my head). I also enjoy their chicken and waffles with the cinnamon waffle, it’s to die for. Their fried catfish and grits is also five stars. Whenever I go, I’m greeted with a smile and seated immediately. If you’re ever in the area or visiting the Brooklyn museum, this is a great place to grab a quick bite. Typically I order one mimosa, one cocktail, and an entrée. With that my bill is usually around $65, not bad at all, considering the quality, service, and the fact that it’s about two blocks away from the Brooklyn Museum.

Google
Cute little place with great breakfast options all day. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was okay. The fried chicken was seasoned to the bone, IYKYK. Grits were a bit too salty for my taste. Pancakes were delicious 😋

Google
Came here for breakfast on a Saturday (party of 1). My chicken and [cinnamon crusted] waffles were GREAT. I regret not getting a mimosa, but I'll come back. A real gem.

Google
OMG!!!! New favorite breakfast spot! This breakfast was the best I had in a very long time. The service was good and prices are standard. Wayyyyy better than Tom's! Highly recommend!

Google
This was some of the best friend chicken I’ve had in a restaurant in a while! It taste just someone’s grandmother was back in that kitchen . The waffle was perfection! Very light and buttery you can truly just have this. Great customer service. I didn’t have a reservation but the wait was not long. Very intimate inside but you still had space to enjoy your meal. Can’t wait to come back again.

Yelp
I don't know why this place reviews are under 4 stars ... but you need to go and try. Normally I skip under 4 star places but I was recommended this place by someone who almost goes every weekend. I'm glad I gave it a try. Get yourself those lemon poppy seed pancakes !!! If I could have it again I would. The fried chicken was also really good and flavorful. Honestly I tried everyone's food at my table lol and it was amazing. Service was great , the people are nice and they kept coming around to check on you right on time. I love the ambiance here. It gave off very comfy which I always appreciate. The music was on point. Old school r&b when I went and I loved that. Overall give it a shot

Yelp
3.5 star rating..... The phone nor the website to make a reservation was working. Inefficient..... 20 min wait when we arrived for brunch. Not unreasonable but annoying nonetheless. Although an A grade, the place needs to be renovated and a deep cleaning. Esthetically it is lacking big time. The service was slow and inattentive. Asked if they could sell the drink special in a pitcher (like all the other mimosas). Instead of coming back and stating they could not and we would have picked a different drink that does come in a pitcher they just came back with the drink specials without giving us the opportunity to confirm our drink order. Our food and drinks were served AFTER others who arrived after us. They need more staff and need to polish up the entire service and esthetics. Having to pull up to a window to even ask for a table and deal with an apathetic hostess was also off putting. Having said all of that, the food is a solid 3.5 maybe even 4 star.

Yelp
We met one of A's friends, who lives in Brooklyn, for brunch at Shane's. It's a tiny restaurant. When I first entered I wasn't sure I was going to feel comfortable there. I have this whole mental malfunction about being in the way, or my wheelchair taking up too much space. (Thanks, family!) But once the staff figured out how to open the double doors so I could get into the dining room everything was fine. We visited Shane's on our second day in the city and were, unfortunately, running low on funds (the hotel hit us with an unexpected $200 security deposit when we checked in), so I just had a coffee, which was delicious. That's saying a lot because I just realized that I don't like most coffee. At home I use flavored creamers, and still end up pouring most of it out, so I stopped drinking it. Shane's coffee was delicious with sugar and cream. Jeremy had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich which was very good. And also probably the cheapest item on the menu at $8. We split the check, and the rest of our party had more extravagant meals and cocktails, which they all seemed to enjoy. We found it odd that even though we split the check, it still came on one bill. I've never seen that before, and it caused us some confusion. We had a great time. The staff was pleasant. I was surprised that there weren't any bagels on the menu though.

Carlan M.

Yelp
They were able to accommodate a party of 13 on the whim just like that. Loved that . Customer service A plus. Everyone was so polite smiled and warm. Our serve was awesome. We did the 50 dollar unlimited Mimosa and I had the strawberry flavor. It was delicious. I loved that you can mix and match. I ordered chicken and waffles as the menu was limited with the unlimited mimosas. It was a lot of food. The food was good and fresh. I tasted someone's home fries. Best home fries I've ever had. Area was clean. Close to train station and bus.

Shanique B.

Yelp
I always wanted to try chicken and waffles but always thought the combination would be very weird. Well, Shane's changed my mind. The cinnamon waffles are BOMB and the fried chicken is very seasoned. The mimosa aren't worth it to me. It was my first time trying it and it was a 6/10. Only downside the size of the place is very small. It's no privacy to speak or even move around if need be. Other than that Shane's will always be my spot to get chicken and waffles 1000/10 Btw- perfect place to carry out food comes pipping hot. A lot of food for the price.

Yvonne D.

Yelp
This is my second time here and I always forget to review it. Cozy family friendly spot with great prices. I didn't get the best picture but the food was good! Hot and fresh. Me and a friend did the $50 unlimited mimosas and entree for one hour. We had pineapple, mango and strawberry. You will feel it so be careful lol It can get pretty busy so get there early in, before 12. Service is friendly and I always enjoy their music.

Matthew S.

Yelp
A black owned business, this is one I can appreciate and enjoy because the food is authentic and tastes delicious, from the first bite to the last bite. Look no further if you want some Harlem-style soul food. Nice sized portions, and I will say it again, the food is absolutely delicious. The chicken and waffles are a great place to start. First off, the chicken fry is fabulous and it starts burning off your fingers immediately. That is a great sign of a good fry. Not only that, but it has great seasoning and spice. The chicken itself is moist and has great flavor. Oh yeah, get dark meat. I did. That works best with this waffle. The waffle is great too, but it is a little too sweet. I ate this meal so fast to almost forgot to mention it. Two hunky pieces of chicken and four sweet triangles of tasty goodness and this is a solid brunch spot. Everybody is so nice. The wait staff, to the busboys, to the customers asking what you think of the food. It might be a small restaurant, but it works well being that it knows what it is and does not try to be anything more. To prevent fraud, they do ask for ID if you pay with a credit card. This was nothing more than what you would do at a bar. Do not read into the check too seriously. I would return for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Britt G.

Yelp
It's okay! When for brunch with a friend. It was about a 25min wait (went around 1:30pm on a Saturday). The ambiance is cool. Music was really good. The service was very bare min. Think I only interacted with the server during ordering and picking up the check. The food was not good at all. The fried chicken was over fried and the French toast bread taste old. Will give them another try one day to see if my experience is consistent.

Genie F.

Yelp
What a hidden gem. Looking for a quick, good breakfast in Brooklyn we were routed to Shanes. We started off as the only guests there that morning but the teeny upstairs of the restaurant with only 6-7 tables quickly filled up. The food was good and plentiful although we were all confused as to why a side salad automatically came with an early morning breakfast. While I love me a salad, I prefer it later on in the day. The breakfast burrito was huge, the home fries were crisp and well seasoned and the mimosas were strong. Shanes was definitely a good Brooklyn choice!

Danni H.

Yelp
Came here many years ago when they originally opened but was in the area and felt for some grits and if you look up brunch spots with good grits they come up as one of the number 1 locations so I popped in to check them out. The food was good, the grift was good to the level which I like them so that was a one for me. Shrimp very flavorful and paired well with my grits. The eggs and French toast were good also. Our server was on point but it feels weird going downstairs to dine it's like walking to the basement for brunch. Dining area would be nice if it was open on the main floor. I would recommend others to try but I am not sure if the seating set up is the best to attract customers.

sherwin m.

Yelp
I expected better. We stopped by on a snowy Monday morning. Ordered the French toast with beef bacon. My wife had a spinach omelette, with roasted potatoes. The potatoes were the best part of the breakfast. The seating area is really small. I doubt we'll be back. Maybe we should've ordered the waffles. They have the best reviews. The service was decent.

Shanel S.

Yelp
They ain't lying about the wait! But the food is delicious. The food comes faster than you expect with the wait. There is a weird disclaimer about "no return on drinks" so really be specific. Their house champagne is Wyclef. Prosecco is a $10 up charge. I had the fried catfish and cheese grits. Lightly fried with perfect flavor. The omelette plate is huge. Pancakes are thick enough to withstand syrup, slight chew that you expect and the grits are on point! It's a seemingly small space that opens up with expansive basement across 2-3 storefronts. There is an outdoor seating area too that I can see gets packed in spring/summer. It looks like they have heaters too! Def a spot to hit when you are near BK Museum.

Erica M.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and didn't enjoy the food at all. The service was very friendly and that made up for the fact I didn't enjoy any of the food at all. My chicken came raw and instead of them frying me a new fresh piece of chicken they just took the undercooked piece and threw it back in the fryer. The waffles accompanying my chicken weren't soft and fluffy, they were crispy. The homemade strawberry lemonade had a hint of spoiled fruit taste to it so I asked if I could have an iced tea instead and was told they have a no return drink policy, which I thought was weird but also led me to believe they get a lot of complaints regarding the drinks. I think our server felt bad about the raw chicken because after she told me about their policy she brought me an iced tea anyways. The iced tea was nasty as well by the way. I did enjoy my passionfruit mimosa, that was the only thing I did like. I will never return and advise if you have other options, try those instead of Shane's.

Shanta K.

Yelp
I came here last weekend and before I say anything else I want to thank the entire staff at Shane's for their hospitality and attentiveness. Service hands down was 10/10. Moving on to food my whiting and grits was so good I took some home and I know u not suppose to warm up grits or fried fish but honey when it's that good I will! My companions had the cinnamon bun waffles, salmon and grits and chicken and waffles. The only thing I would improve on was my friends chicken was refried and old but the flavors and taste of everything else was 8.5/10. My friend also couldn't stop raving about her baileys hot chocolate. The GM was short staffed and stepped in to be a server that day and if she trains anyone to work there, they would do superb because Ms. Tisha did a fantastic good. The unlimited mimosas didn't hurt honey lol. I was full, lit and satisfied. I came here 8 or so years ago and I def remember the food always being good Thanks Shanes

Turner D.

Yelp
Food was amazing and service was great. I got the western omelette with turkey sausage and my son got the French toast, bacon and eggs. The home fries were 1 of 1; next time I will be trying the fried chicken and waffles.

Natharina N.

Yelp
Chill, breakfast vibes from here! I had the Big Breakfast (with fluffy waffles, crispy bacon, and sunny eggs). A classic morning meal that always hits the spot. Alongside that, I also had refreshing mango juice and some hot coffee. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming!

Kimchee B.

Yelp
If you don't feel like waiting in line for Tom's Diner strongly recommend this place. Better food (IMO), chill atmosphere, and a long-standing neighborhood institution. Love to duck in here for a solo breakfast and much easier to manage with a group than most things nearby.

Ron A.

Yelp
I have been walking past this gem of an establishment for years. Today my wife wanted a brunch date and wanted to try something new. Food was very good. Catfish and salmon were seasoned very well. Temperature of food was perfect. The cheese should be illegal e cause there so good. We will definitely return. Service was good. No complaints. Ambiance was nice. We were escorted downstairs where it was too warm for us. Aside from that, the place was nice. Nice music play list. 4 stars because it was too warm for us. We will be back.

charise b.

Yelp
I went for the promotional Spades Tournament, which was great. I also ordered the Steak Frites and it was great. I am looking forward to th next time.

Craig C.

Yelp
There was a little wait but nothing to complain about. Once seated our waiter was very attentive. I ordered the grilled catfish with grits. Unfortunately they don't make the Eggs Benedict during the week which was disappointing, so my party opted for the Leo Omelette. All and all everything was good. A little heavy on the salt which could be a set back for those with high blood pressure. Opted for the unlimited 1 hour mimosa's the team was very encouraging to try their selection, but I stayed with the traditional one. The party opted for the sorrell mimosa which had rum in it as well. A little strong for them but tasty. Overall not a bad time will be back.

Yelp
Disappointing Sunday working from hime and decided to order something local breakfast. This experience was terrible and lacked effort entirely.I was charged nearly $30 for a breakfast that lacked effort and fell short of my expectations. The breakfast provided to me consisted of only half of a waffle . Additionally, the waffle was extremely dry and it was packaged mix. The blueberries thrown topped for extra not even incorporated in the dry waffle. The grits watery. The home fries were the only eatable item. Furthermore, I received only three pieces of hard bacon. Overall, the quality of the food was subpar, and I found it to be a terrible experience. Disappointing Sunday working from hime and decided to order something local breakfast. Yelp
Some of the best chicken and waffles I have ever had!! Slower service on weekends and only worth the wait if you are getting chicken and waffles.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Shane's!!!! 10/10. the service was amazing. i asked my server to order for me and she got me the chicken and waffles with cinnamon on the waffles, whew. she also put in a side of mac & cheese which was amazing as well. the shrimp and grits is what my friend ordered and she liked it. they have bottomless mimosas and you can switch the flavors of the small carafes. they have an indoor and outdoor area. we sat outdoors and it was such a pretty day and they had a lot of fans to accommodate. will be back soon!

Akela J.

Yelp
I was surprised how much flavor this little neighborhood spot had during brunch. The waffles were good and the drinks were hitting. Very tight and cozy space but the perfect place to eat if you need something quick and yummy, shoutouts to the hostess for keeping the line moving. Get the cinnamon waffles!

Marie T.

Yelp
I use to love me Shanes back in the day, but since it's been a least 10 years a was little leery, but I'm happy to say that they didn't disappoint. The Greek Omelette was just like I remembered, tasty and all the ingredients evenly proportioned. The home fries were nicely seasoned with a little kick to them. The pancakes were ok, I wish my bananas and walnuts were in the pancakes. I basically paid $3 for a small banana and a handful of walnuts ‍ All and all I'll order again.

Melissa L.

Yelp
Unfortunately it wasn't worth the hype. Nothing was memorable!!! I wouldn't go back. The food was nothing exciting.

K_nyc B.

Yelp
SERVICE: We had great time at Shane's! The brunch special includes unlimited mimosas of various flavors. The waiter was reasonable. I love the T-Shirts! FOOD: The food came quick! The menu should be tweaked because Shanes Delux breakfast makes it seem like you get a choice of pancakes AND French toast or Waffles. So pancakes and waffles or pancakes and french toast is how I read it. But its one or the other (pancakes or french toast or waffles). The food was really good except the grits, which I found to be bland. Loved the eggs and the vibe AMBIANCE: Family oriented. Great for the kids or big family. Music was nice & eclectic. There is outdoor seating on the street. The host outside was very friendly and he sat us at our table right away. CLEANLINESS: I didn't get a chance to use the bathroom, but the table and utensils were clean.

Claudette W.

Yelp
I ordered the big breakfast. The pancakes were good but the grits were not that tasty. I asked for cheese in the grits, the amount they added was little to nothing. I don't eat beef sausage regularly so i was astonished by how salty it was. The service was not fast and it took even longer for the food to arrive. Not impressed at all but will be willing to give the place another try

Jihan D.

Yelp
There was no wait to get in on a Sunday which was very surprising, since brunch in Brooklyn is now a "thing". I made up my meal and everything came out in a timely fashion and tasted excellent. I ordered a side of whiting, grits, and home style potatoes. Our server was very polite and hospitable. Inside was a bit cramped and too close in proximity for us to be in a pandemic. Overall I'd go back and have their piña colada mimosa again.

C B.

Yelp
Shane's deluxe is my go to meal but the whiting and grits is good The wait staff is good Menu is good and has good choices even for kids

Fabienne M.

Yelp
First time here and I enjoyed it very much. Started with a mango mimosa... so good. My date had grilled whiting with grits and a side of grilled catfish. The grits were very well made with cheese taste so good, but the grilled fish I felt just needed alil more seasoning but I'm sure it's because it was grilled and not fried... so my next time going I'd get the fried. I had the chicken and waffles and it was great the chicken was fried good well seasoned and I added hot sauce perfection. Waffles nice and soft, they melt in your mouth. Service was great very attentive. Ambiance is like an old school soul food spot, great for dates, groups, family outing.

Mysings A.

Yelp
Yummy! Yummy! I happened upon this spot and I am so happy I did. Though there was about a 20 minute wait it was very reasonable considering it was a Sunday at peak brunch time on a gorgeous day. Service was incredible. They acknowledged the wait and service came immediately after I sat down. What I ordered came with egg in style of my choice, grits with the option of cheese, and pancakes! Everything I needed! Sweet and Savory. Grits were perfection! Pancakes were insanely good! Fluffy with crisp edge, buttery and melt in your mouth. The only thing I will note is the bacon smelled very strange and tasted equally as strange. I took a bite thought something was off and then tried one more time and never went back. Maybe avoid it. The pina colada mimosa was a perfect addition. Also important I want to share read the receipt carefully and you'll notice a 15% service charge. It's easy to overlook if you're not paying attention. Tip your waiter a bit more of course because they are amazing just do the math to leave what you feel is fair knowing that 15% is included. Amazing for dining alone or in a group. This is a great spot and a must visit!

Ernecia P.

Yelp
Great menu, friendly service! Highly recommend if your in the Prospect neighborhood :)

bexaida r.

Yelp
Food was delicious I had the skirt steak with home fries and eggs over medium Service was quick and the waiter was nice and helpful Ambiance was super cute and chill

Jose H.

Yelp
If I could give it zero stars I would. I didn't even eat there. I went today 5/19/2024 at 1:30 pm. I asked to be seated outside and she said no because that table was for a big party. It was just me and my girlfriend. I would have probably ordered enough for a big party. Either way she informed me it was a half hour wait or I could sit downstairs inside. I would have eaten there if the hostess was nicer. But she was not nice. She was nasty. I think her last hostess postion was at Rikers Island. So don't go here for the service or not at all. I chose to go to Barboncino around the corner.

Monica M.

Yelp
I had the breakfast grits shrimp and waffle. On 9/30/24 And I had the lunch on 10/09/24 fried fish sautéed spinach and mac and cheese. The food is delicious trust me I am s very picky person. And they did it right I will be ordering again. Awesome food.

Blaq D.

Yelp
BANGER GANGING omg everything is good here. I mean everything is good. Just don't, go run. Top tier top five stars.

Nicole C.

Yelp
We enjoyed a nice brunch at Shane's In Brooklyn. The food was on point and the service was solid. We had Sunday morning reservations (around 11:45am) and didn't have to wait long at all. It wasnt busy just yet. While there is outdoor seating, we dined inside, and there are clear partitions between most of the tables. I had the fish and grits with a side of scrambled eggs. I chose the grilled salmon as my fish and had goat cheese on the grits as well as the eggs. The fish was grilled nicely and so good! My friend has the chicken and waffles. She got the red velvet waffles and ordered her chicken a certain way - like specific parts. They met her wishes and she seemed content with her entree. We were both very pleased with the food taste. I was happy to support a Black owned business, and given the quality, I'd certainly return & take back a couple more friends when visiting Brooklyn!

Carrie H.

Yelp
It's always great. The doughnut waffle is soon good. Catfish and fried chicken are so flavorful! The brunch cocktails are so good. Especially the mimosa with tequila. Servers are the only thing preventing a 5-star review. They take a while to take the order, and then you really don't see them. The busser gave more attention.

Linda M.

Yelp
Sharing a combination of two experiences at the restaurant! On my first visit I enjoyed the delicious shrimp with grits. I enjoyed them with cheese and a frozen happy hour drink. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal. The price I was charged was different from what was on the menu but it was rectified once I spoke to the server. There was a service charge already included which she indicated would be shared amongst some members of the staff but I was encouraged to leave an additional tip. Upon my second visit, I again enjoyed the food. The fried chicken and red velvet waffles were incredible! Once I paired that with a sorrel mimosa, it was a perfect meal!

Lyn D.

Yelp
I went to Shane's for brunch and it was pretty good. It was the second time I returned to dining out since the pandemic. They are pretty busy on Sunday. However, I waited maybe 10m for a table- not bad. Everyone I came in contact with was super pleasant and inviting. For my meal- I went with French toast and a side of turkey bacon. I had some hot cocoa to wash it down. I enjoyed in my meal!

Anifah B.

Yelp
Ive dined in and order a pick up. Both times food was nice hot and fresh. The wait wasnt long and i definitely enjoyed the French toast!

Fedrecia H.

Yelp
I had my birthday breakfast at Shane's. My meal was delicious and the service was great!

Gabrielle H.

Yelp
It was okay, nothing to wait in a long line for. Whoever is manning the front desk needs to be retrained. Idc how stupid you think the question is, laugh and smile. No ac. Or if there is it needs more BTUs. Seating is small and a touch over crowded. They need to make use of the space next door and expand. Food was decent, but a tad overpriced. I got a platter and I could not substitute the grits for potatoes and btw the grits is basically the main portion and it's bland. Lemonade was too sweet and warm. Overall 4.5/10, my cousin enjoys this place.

Chris C.

Yelp
I came in with my three-year-old and they wouldn't sit us in an open booth. Had to leave because he kept falling out of the adult chair. Couldn't get anybody to close our check out. Then we were told we couldn't leave the way we came in, even with a child fully asleep in my arms.

Nic S.

Yelp
This place was awesome sauce!!!!!! The host ( I'm so sorry I didn't get his name) he was such a joy to be around! He was very courteous towards us and very sweet!!! My Birthday was Feb 2nd so we went to celebrate there(Feb 4th) !!! The host accommodated us and got us a nice size table for us. Although there was a wait.........cs our party size was 6 deep. It was so worth the wait and the host was so informative about our table........ The plus for this place was that the food was EXCELLENT but not even that.... The host sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me and made me feel so freaking special!!!!! I was so smitten with the host cause he has a beautiful voice and I was so happy that he did that for me The food is absolutely excellent!!! The servers were very polite and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!! Thank you sir for helping me celebrate my birthday !!!!!! AMBIANCE : 10000 % great SERVICE:? Yelp
Today I was introduced to this restaurant by a rude, prude and unpleasant host. We have a party of 5, and the wait was 30mins. Once the wait time was over, the host took another 10mins o come outside (you have to wait outside in the freezing cold before being seated). We notified the host that we MAY have a 6th guest and were told to wait even longer outside since that potential guest hadn't arrived yet. Overall, just an unpleasant and unprofessional experience before you even walk in the door. Low customer service skills from host and doorman. Brooklyn needs better accountability for how they serve their patrons, which is why I tend to brunch in Manhattan or elsewhere instead. I will update on the food selections!

Yelp
The food is always good , the last 3 times I've been there the service has been horrific & it's the same waitress each time. Kassidy is very rude & unpleasant. I would not recommend this place as long as she's serving .

Yelp
Came to visit from South Carolina. This was not a good experience. First 1 of the 7 of us asked for something that was pictured on the site. They said they didnt have it and then after we ordered something else the bought it anyway. They gave the wrong food to several of the wrong people and sais its not their fault because the server doesnt understand english. The whiting was dry and over cooked and the waitress had a bad attitude as well as the mgr who eventually chaNGED HER TUNE.
