"The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi Housed in a 100-meter-tall, concave building in the heart of Xintiandi, the 24-story property has rooms with enduring views over the neighborhood’s Shikumen storefronts. Accommodations combine dark woods, floor-to-ceiling windows, green and gold wool carpets with a paisley-like motif, and dual-basin bathrooms with oversized bathtubs. Shanghai ’s Art Deco period and Xintiandi’s courtyard houses inspire interiors, while color schemes of black and green appear throughout, from the dark local granite used as flooring and walls to green glass detailing. Another recurrent theme is the horse, a key Han symbol, laser-cut into large lobby columns and bronze beams to resemble bark on a tree."

Your hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Beautiful location in a beautiful city. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay and obviously it's because of the hotel itself and the facilities plus the great service that we got from many people in the hotel. Some of these people I'll name as Kiki, Zoe, Maple, Ella and Vince. They were very nice to us at the club lounge, very hospitable, professional and polite. I'll recommend Langham strongly to other people. We stayed in Langham hotels in other Chinese cities also but only for very short stays. We spent three nights at Shanghai and enjoyed our stay very much. Keep up that good work guys. Thank you very much ||Kase Nayel

I've stayed at the Langham Xintiandi several times and am increasingly satisfied. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the Langham Club is the ideal place to rest and relax after a busy day in Shanghai. The Langham XTD's greatest asset is its people. Shirley, Loretta, Kiki, Andy, and the rest of the staff are always warm and friendly, always attentive and helpful to your needs, but never servile. Check-in and check-out were very smooth... a fantastic experience!

This is a fabulous hotel. It’s my second stay and I’d highly recommend it as a great place to stay in Shanghai, whether here for business or leisure. The staff are amazing, the location is very good and the experience is wonderful. The pool is magical (and the gym is pretty decent as well).

The hotel’s cleanliness and decor align with its positioning, and the room itself was tidy, though the carpet showed noticeable wear. The bathroom was adequately clean but nothing exceptional. The location is excellent—lively and convenient. However, the lobby and reception area are quite small, leading to a somewhat chaotic atmosphere when crowded. Breakfast is served in a cramped space adjacent to the lobby, and the overall environment is average. Hygiene standards could be improved—utensils had visible food residue, likely due to insufficient dishwasher cleaning. Service was inconsistent; my coffee order was forgotten during peak hours, suggesting a need for better staff training. The gym is very small, with equipment awkwardly split between a dedicated room and a semi-open hallway-like area. A decent stay for the location, but certain aspects (maintenance, breakfast service, and facilities) need attention to enhance guest experience.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi in May. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless and up to the high standards you’d expect from a Langham property. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the Xintiandi district, with great access to shopping, dining, and cultural spots.A special highlight of my stay was the complimentary birthday arrangement thoughtfully prepared by the Guest Relations team for my twin daughters. It was a lovely surprise and truly added a personal touch to the experience. Their attention to detail and warm service made the celebration extra memorable.Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers looking for luxury, comfort, and attentive service in Shanghai

Last year my brother stayed at the Langham and had a great experience. He then brought my entire family of eight guests to stay this year for five nights in Shanghai. To say we were disappointed and embarassed by the experience would be an understatement. The check in process was appallingly bad particularly when my brother was placed in a room that was falling apart. My irritation only increased when he received “an upgrade” only to be downgraded to a smaller room than what was originally booked. The solution to these problems were fruit plates which doesn’t even come close to fixing the issues of a hotel that is in desperate need of renovation, both physically and within the entire management team. My family trip this year started in Beijing at the China World Summit and then at the West Lake Liuyingli in Hangzhou. There is no comparison from their hotels as far as costumer service and guest experience. Because of our multi night at those hotels, they gave us quality rooms with amazing care. The Langham pales in comparison to those hotel and I cannot believe the entire family trip has to end at this hotel.
