From reception to check-in to our arrival in our room, our experience was exceptionally warm and friendly. We had booked an Executive Studio Room. We were traveling with our 14-year-old son and used the hotel for our city tour. The location was perfect for us. There were plenty of things to do on foot and nearby, and the metro station was also nearby. The room was perfect for us. It was spacious and equipped with all the amenities. The room was also very quiet. A large bathroom with a fantastic rainforest shower and bathtub, a large alcove for our suitcases, and plenty of space in the bedroom. We really enjoyed the hotel's amenities, such as the pool area, room service, the Club Lounge and restaurant, and also the in-room dining. A hotel we will definitely return to.

->Area and Surroundings:|The hotel is very well located just across happening Xintandi main street. The area has so many bars / restaurants and night clubs. Its one of the finest areas of Shanghai.||->Room:|We were upgraded to a delux room on higher floor which overlooked the xintandi food district. The views from our room were very nice. The room had a comfortable double bed with all electrical controls on both sides of the bed.||One thing I notice that at all places the power plug points provided were all international type and hence made it comfortable to use our gadgets without a need of an adapter. The room also had a comfortable reclining chair with pedestal to lay down with a good book to read.||The room was very artistically designed and had all modern amenities like a capsule coffee machine, a water kettle, a safety box and bar glasses.||->Bathroom and Bathing experience:|The bathroom was attached to the bedroom by a sliding door and also had another entrance from the other side. The twin sink always makes it more hygienic and comfortable to use when you are partnering the room.||The bathroom was huge and the bathing water pressure and temperature was perfect. The water tub in the room was an icing on the cake to unwinding entire days tiredness by soaking yourself in the same.| |->Hotel Staff:|Extremely polite, welcoming, interactive and warm.||->Breakfast:|I had my meeting in other cities and most days I had to leave early so I did not opt for breakfast, but I am sure, that must also have been fantastic.||->Swimming Pool / Gym / Spa:|The gym area and the pool were very inviting. The hotel has an indoor pool making it comfortable to use all round the year.||->Special mention:|Wifi had pre built in VPN so all the websites like google, facebook and Instagram could be used on hotel wifi. The entire hotel had many places and terraces to sit and relax.

It’s wonderful to be back at The Langham, Shanghai Xintiandi! On a previous trip to Shanghai, I had to stay at another hotel closer to the convention center for convenience, but I missed the exceptional warmth and hospitality that define The Langham. The staff here are simply the best! This trip, it had to be The Langham.||||A special thank you to Ms. Shirley and her team at the Langham Club, as well as Mr. Andy and his colleagues at the concierge, for their sincere smiles and service. The facilities remain modern and impeccably maintained, but what truly sets The Langham apart is that it doesn’t just host guests—it makes you feel at home.

The hotel’s cleanliness and decor align with its positioning, and the room itself was tidy, though the carpet showed noticeable wear. The bathroom was adequately clean but nothing exceptional. The location is excellent—lively and convenient. However, the lobby and reception area are quite small, leading to a somewhat chaotic atmosphere when crowded. Breakfast is served in a cramped space adjacent to the lobby, and the overall environment is average. Hygiene standards could be improved—utensils had visible food residue, likely due to insufficient dishwasher cleaning. Service was inconsistent; my coffee order was forgotten during peak hours, suggesting a need for better staff training. The gym is very small, with equipment awkwardly split between a dedicated room and a semi-open hallway-like area. A decent stay for the location, but certain aspects (maintenance, breakfast service, and facilities) need attention to enhance guest experience.

Wonderful hotel and 5 star service! Breakfast and lunge are also above and beyond. However the staff really made the experience memorable. Especially Zoe. She gets a 10!

I spent 3 nights at The Langham, it is a great hotel. Fantastic service and housekeeping. The stand out is the Club Lounge, I suggest spending a bit more to get Club Access. It is so nice and peaceful and Zoe Peng and her team are wonderful and very attentive.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi in May. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless and up to the high standards you’d expect from a Langham property. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the Xintiandi district, with great access to shopping, dining, and cultural spots.A special highlight of my stay was the complimentary birthday arrangement thoughtfully prepared by the Guest Relations team for my twin daughters. It was a lovely surprise and truly added a personal touch to the experience. Their attention to detail and warm service made the celebration extra memorable.Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers looking for luxury, comfort, and attentive service in Shanghai

This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s beautiful, well-kept, and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the service was great. A special thanks to Eric, who made my stay even nicer and more memorable.
