Shanghai Restaurant

Nice people. Friendly staff. However... Ordered four dishes and all came out in less than 10 minutes. Not a good sign. Reheated catfood would have had more flavor. It was like they microwaved each entree and then dumped MSG loaded sauce on top. I'm not a picky eater. But this place is on it's deathbed.

The first time that we ate here over six months ago was excellent. Since then, the food quality has significantly dropped, our order has been frequently wrong, and we have had several delivery orders that have taken close to an hour and a half to arrive. Tonight was the same extended wait, except this time the delivery guy showed up with the entirely wrong order. He told us that "it's the same price" and that he "accidentally grabbed the wrong order, but we could have this one for that price." Loved the place originally, but we will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I think the food is great BUT they are painfully slow. We have eaten in-house once - it took over an hour and a half to get our food. We have ordered carry-out (not delivery) twice and each time they said it would be 20 minutes and it was about an hour each time. It's really disappointing because I think the food is just as good as Royal China and the prices are a little better - but waiting an hour when Royal China will have it ready in 10-15 minutes doesn't really work for us.

Food was decent. Only 5 of us came in. Place was dead, only one other group(of 2) there. Food came out in waves (some meals before appetizers). After our food was brought out no one came back to our table. We were there maybe 40 minutes, were never offered refills and we had to find a lady to bring us our check. Check comes back to sign and theres a new Total different from the original. They added on a $15 tip with space for more tip below it. Guest number showed one on the receipt and there was no notice of auto gratuity. Never going back again, poor service and adding charges without notice then surprised even after calling out the poor service

Well where to start, we ordered a Coke and a Dr. Pepper. We got 2 glasses of ice and two cans of soda. Wow! The food is edible however I have certainly had much better but I have also had worse. Would I recommend this restaurant or will I be returning? NO!

Not good...... disorganized service, got 4 of the 8 orders wrong, hot & sour soup bland, fried rice awefull, I had Garlic Pork and it was pretty good. Then......we had 3 people come to table to try to get our checks straight.. that took over 15 minutes. The people got billed for things they didn't order. We kept asking to pay bill and we're ignored. Finally just put money on table and left. What a cluster..

Very grateful we can find such authentic Shanghainese food in Dallas👍🏼! Update: After several visits, the only thing that bothers me is their rice is either in bad quality or not fresh. It is very unfortunate, cuz their food is so good, you really need to have good rice to go with it. I even thought about bringing in my own rice....

Place had little stuff molding floating around in our drinks. They replaced drinks and that stuff was still in there. The older lady claim not to see them after the second time they brought us drinks. The tables were nasty and unclean. We canceled our order and walked out. Never going back, this place is nasty.
