Shanshui Trends Hotel Dongzhan

The service was poor. The receptionists are unfriendly There are only 4 chairs at the reception area. As seniors at 85 years, we were made to stand for nearly one and half hour and were checked in at 3:30 pm. I had a payment issue and wanted to talk to the manager to resolve it but the receptionist told me that she was the one to decide. When I insisted,the other receptionist gave me the contact number of the hotel manager who was friendly and supportive. Later I contacted Trip and I was satisfied by it's personnel's clarification. The bad attitude of receptionist would only drive away guests.

The receptionists at front desk were unfriendly not courteous at all. There were only 4 seats, we are made to stand and wait until 15:30 . I had a problem about payment for my second bookingt.I requested to speak the Manager, The young receptionist had the cheek to tell me that she was the manager. After I insisted, I was allowed to speak to the manager who was helpful and supportive. Anyhow later I raised the issue with Trip and it was clarified and resolved by wise personnel Mr Jigs. I'm very unhappy with the attitude of the receptionists who badly needed the right training to welcome guests.

This is a very terrifying hotel. The hallways are dimly lit, and the room hygiene is extremely poor. The walls and mirrors are covered in dust. It is definitely not suitable for children.Please think twice before staying here!

Shanshui Trends Hotel 山水時尚广州東站店 广东省广州市天河区东站路1号广州东站1层(广州东站地铁站G口步行60米) Stayed 5days 21 Oct - 25 Oct 2024 1) Spacious, clean room, safe hotel, good location. 2) Incorp with guangzhou east railway station, bus station and shopping mall. A lot of eatery around. 3) Toilet n bathroom share 1 door. 4) Hotel room wifi need China number to connect. 5) No safe box, No CNA channel 6) Got mini fridge / Got usb port / Clothes Hanger quite a lot about 8 i think 7) Reception rude, Security Guard n Cleaner lady nice. 1st day - I went to lobby 7am only Security Guard there, i told him no need house keeping but need mineral water n kettle faulty. He delivered to me which i dont think his scope. 2nd day - I told reception, no need house keeping but need mineral water + toilet paper. She say u go find cleaner that floor, we dont have !! I managed find cleaner, she passed me things i need n plastics bag say rubbish can put at door, she will throw for me. 3rd day, again i put DnD she even hang tissue n water bottle at my door without me request. Really very nice of her.

GREAT location. It is connected to a metro, a train station and a mall so its really super convenient. You'll never go hungry as well since you have heaps of restaurant choices within the area. The room is clean and spacious. I do smell a bit of cigarette scent upon entering the room. If you do get a breakfast you'll be given a food voucher that you can use at the 2 local fast food chain beside the property. The property does not have its own restaurant facilities. Staff are kind and 1 does speak english. Not much seating space at the lobby though. They do have free wifi but you would need to have a local number plus it wont work for majority of your non-china apps. so I suggest not relying on their net for connectivity and get a data plan before heading to china. Will definitely book again at this property for the location.

i really like this hotel.The room is spacious, clean and well equipped. The toilet comes with toothbrush and shaver and cream. Towels are clean and proper. Shower room is big with adequate pressure water jets.After testing it for one night I have decided to stay another night.It is so convenient to all the shops and metros and rail in fact it is right above it.I will stay in this hotel again.

We did a short 2 night stay for my big family of 7. As there are limited rooms, we split into 4 different rooms. However, we were in different levels as there were no availability, and I found It strange as I booked It online really really early before my trip. It caused some difficulty in planning for my family but not too tough. We were not used to people smoking indoors and hotel rooms. The smoke smell was too strong for it me such that I went to buy air freshener to spray in my room. The hotel staff was able to help me change to another room for my children but I was not able to as there's no availability. The hotel's location is really convenient. It's situated at a major rail interchange. However, it is often crowded and traffic is heavy. As such, the honking from the cars is almost unending. So if you are a light sleeper, you may have difficulty adjusting.The hotel room itself is a bit jaded and it's non carpeted. The toilet is split into the WC and shower room, and there's only 1 door. So at any point in time, you can only close one side of it, and the door cannot be locked. You can only close it. WC and shower room do have mould growing. So do consider this if you are highly particular about it. The hotel has self service chargeable laundry services. They even have portable dryer for drying clothes that can be brought to your room. It's really convenient.Thus, I believe this hotel is good for transient passengers who are looking at like, one night stay for business purposes, or travelling in transit. But it may not be so suitable for families.

Great Location, but hotel is old, ok for few hours for relaxing or one day transit.
