Until yesterday, I was a proud frequent patron of Shareefs. Unfortunately, yesterday's experience has caused me to NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND!
Let's start from the beginning, my colleagues were hungry so I suggested that we get Shareefs. They were hesitant, but I insisted because the food is usually extremely tasty. I didn't have the number so I looked online. I dialed and placed an order for the following: three shrimp platters, one steak platter, and a chicken platter. I was told that it would take 20 minutes and I could come pick it up at that time.
Knowing that it was a Saturday, I expected them to be extremely busy. Therefore, I waited an additional 20 minutes and arrived at 1 PM. When I answered I asked for our order and was told that they never received one.
Apparently, I had called the wrong Shareefs.... I was never aware that there were two and sadly the website didn't clarify either. I told the cashier, and he proceeded to call the other restaurant. The manager from Shareefs over West proceeded to tell me that the food would be ready in a few more minutes and that I needed to come pick it up! I politely informed him that it was clearly a mistake because I was completely unaware of the Westside Shareefs. He then began to become hostile on the phone and stated, " Well what am I going to do with all of this food! You need to come get it! You should've known that this was the West Shareefs!" I calmly shared that I wouldn't be ordering from any Shareefs today and would be contacting the owner.
A few minutes later, he called my phone to apologize, but it should have never gotten to that point. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. Especially when their website didn't clarify.
Like I said, I won't be going there.
Yelpers support businesses that provide only the best product and services. Don't waste your hard earned money on subpar or even irate institutions!
