Shark Club

I've been here twice now in the last few months, the first time I really enjoyed the food the second time unfortunately my steak was cooked well done instead of medium rare as requested. The rest of the food was delicious, my only other thing is that there's no actual sharks here, I get it sharks as in pool sharks but I don't know it just seems like they should have sharks seeing as they have huge fish tanks.

If the food was only TWICE as good as the atmosphere, I still wouldn't recommend you to here. The food portions suck, and the food is soggy. THREE tenders for $12 is outrageous, and you don't even get fries, either. Save your money, and go to PLI a little further down the road, where the food is actually edible. Will never return. Will warn other folks about this place, too.

Great place for date night, to hang with friends and meet new people, or even a great place to rent a private room for baby showers or wedding showers. I came here for a holiday work party and the service and food were great. Also very fun to play darts or billiards. There is also a small game room with video games for kids.

Flew into KPTK fairly late and this was the only place upon close by. I'm sure glad we found it. Our waitress had worked there for nineteen years, and she was wonderful. We got loaded tater tots and spinach and artichoke dip appetizers. I also got a chopped Italian salad, and my coworker got a great hamburger. It was a great meal. Definitely recommend!

This place is incredible! A special place in my heart! The staff is great and always accommodating especially Kimmy! She seems like the glue of the joint! the food is just what the doctor ordered and the atmosphere is great on weekends and sporting events and perfect if you’re going up for a drink or 7

Very nice waitress, loved the apps, got Mexican eggrolls + potato skins to start. Me and my brother split an entree, it was okay! But just okay! (Def the spot for appetizers). The atmosphere is simply not nice. The only thing they have going aesthetically is the fish tanks which are absolutely great and contribute well to the space and overall vibe. However, the smell can only be described as “musty” upon entry and this place is in desperate need of a clean up, scrub down, & renovation. Will come back for the apps and convenience of how close it is. Appreciative that our waitress was so nice, made all the difference in our experience!

This was our first time at this restaurant. I expected so much better based on the reviews. I am not sure how these reviews are so high based on our experience. We came in from out of town to visit with family. First I would like to say that the server & staff we interacted with was good. Drinks were topped off regularly and we were checked in on frequently enough without it being too often. But that is where the praise will stop. The moment we walked in, there was the 'smell'. That sewage smell that you get when the grease traps have not been cleaned regularly. Or they have just been cleaned but the building was not properly vented. We could all smell if pretty strongly for an hour and a half before it either dissipated or we got used to it... That does not make for a pleasant experience. Esspecially when you will be eating. We were there for lunch with a few others. Between us, we had tea, lemonade, & a couple of different sodas. Each one of them tasted off. The tea just did not taste good. It had an odd flavor. The cola tasted like it had been mixed with something else. It too had an odd flavor. The lemonade was SOOOO sweet. It tasted like it was concentrated. None of us at the table enjoyed our food. I ordered a salad. It was supposed to come with mixed greens. I only order salads with mixed greens as I prefer the taste over a boring green leaf lettuce. This did not have a mixed greens. It appeared as a pre-packaged salad blend that had green leaf lettuce, carrots & cabbage. The apples that came on my salad were already partially brown, and they had already started to shrivel and pull away from the skins. The chicken on the salad was dry as well. As if it had been cooked the prior day, left uncovered in the fridge, and then reserved the next day. Another person had the tomato soup. It was very thick & did not come with any croutons, crackers, or otherwise crusty bread. Just a cup of a not very good soup. Another in the group had steak. The zip sauce that came with it was practically unrecognizeable. It had obviously been over heated. It had separtated leaving milk solids from the butter floating on the top, the melted butter in the middle, and all of the herbs sitting on the bottom of the dish. Very poorly executed. It did not appear appetizing nor did it taste good. We all left food on our plates even though we had an appetite. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Sharks Club's a great place to go for a fun & chill atmosphere, broad variety in spirits & drafts, and lots of fun games, including billards & arcade. Monday - Thursday & Sundays are the best times to play pool without the wait - usually a waiting list on Fridays & Saturdays, so be prepared.🍴🍹🍻 The food is delicious, but a bit pricey. *Chicken Balls - were okay...textured was rubbery, and the "balls" were more like small bites. The sweet chili sauce was very tasty with a nice kick. *French Dip - hands down, favorite on the menu, with all the fixins and onions rings! *Pizzas - 8" is perfect for one person (easily feed 2 people if you're a snacker). Toppings tasted & looked fresh. The thin crust is like tostada thin.

I came here with a group of friends and the menu is pretty good. I'm not quite sure how I would describe this place other than it has quite a few pool tables and music and high top bar tables and a very good restaurant menu. I got the fish tacos, which were mahi-mahi and they were absolutely delicious. The price was very reasonable and it didn't come with any sides, but it had wasabi ranch dressing on the side, which was actually very tasty. My friends got a variety of different things, including chicken and beef, tacos, quesadillas, pulled pork sandwich, chips, and salsa, and a Cookie Monster dessert that was over-the-top delicious looking. Everybody enjoyed their food and I would definitely go there again.

Been a regular for two years. That ends last night. The crowd of people starting to frequent this place and acting like they own the joint is not worth enduring if you're a serious pool player. Lost someone who's there 3-4 nights a week spending money and tipping WELL. Not even worth the drive anymore. You'll be sharked every shot either by staff or players around you with zero etiquette. Recently I had a table full of parents and their kids next to me and had children running under my stick like it was a game of limbo while I was down on my shots and nothing was being done to stop it even after I had asked for the parents to watch their children, because I didn't want one of them getting hit by a stick or something and it's not everyone else's job to take care of your kids in public. I was looked at like the problem by staff. Last straw was last night I had other patrons come up to my table clear my table and proceed to tell me "do what you need to do but this is our table now"...nothing more needs to be said. Weird world we live in but there are plenty of places where respect and dignity still exists. Onward.

We've enjoyed our time at the Shark Club. However, the owner has decided to charge our group an exorbitant fee for table time. First, we were required to spend $$$ on food & drinks just for the privilege of using the table to shoot pool, Then came the "requirement" that we spend a minimum of $10.00. NOW, the management has recently told of their intent to charge EACH PERSON $10.00 PER HOUR regardless of whether we buy food or not. Potentially, the owner can easily make over $10,000 dollars on just table time alone, should we continue playing over a 52 week calendar. We represent only 25% of their base. Yet, we're being asked to pay PRIME TIME RATES FOR DEAD SPACE TIMES. Since we're also paying customers who helped the establishment by buying food/drinks, we feel that the DRASTIC UPCHARGE should meet with an APPROPRIATE RESPONSE. Please consider who your customers are, and listen to their concerns.

The typical bar and grill spot, the fish aquarium is what does it for me. Service is more good than bad and the food is your regular diner finds.

Hands down this bar / restaurant has Worst food ever, Even the simplest appetizers the Chicken Wings came burnt from outside and frozen uncooked inside, tacos came terribly salty, other fish tacos came nasty uncooked, What really wrong, on top of that Waitress with bad attitude, bad customer service she through the bill and left and the manger came after the fact and fixed the bill and gave us discount, the Manager was very polite and nice.

Loved it. Solid five star Burger here. And they weren't cheap with the tots either - nice large portion of them! Burger's massive. Was cooked to order just right; flavorful, and had plenty of the complements. Run through the garden! Lol Clearly, whoever made it Loves making them; you can tell. A Great burger. After a small series I let downs, I've been craving a good burger and this soothed my soul. Clever buffalo cauliflower bites were nice. Shoot, even the blue cheese was chunky; you don't often see that anymore when whoever makes it. Solid enjoyable food. Happy friendly helpful tag team wait staff wouldn't let my drinks run down.

Service is always spot on, food is usually good. It's a good place to chill and they have a good selection of beers on draft so you can always count on something. This host is always a great guy. Being a Waterford local myself we've always liked shark club!

This is all around great place to bring a family or go out for a date night! It's always a hopping scene, and the weekly food specials are a great deal. We are always greeted with a friendly smile, and my family loves coming here for either taco or burger night!!

Our server Mattie was extremely rude whenever we needed something and inattentive to our table i don't usually complain but come on this girl had a terrible attitude. No place for people like her in customer service .

We booked a Baby Bash (co-ed baby shower) here and they did an excellent job!! The facilities and food were great and the staff was absolutely incredible! Always looking to assist with anything we needed, and no request was a problem! I highly recommend them for banquets and parties!

Enjoy coming here on car nights! Cold beer and friendly service can't go wrong! The fish and chips is my go to!

I enjoyed pool and the food was good. The staff was friendly, they have a party room if you need it. It's a fun place to meet people. Nice bar if that's what you like.

Went there for a party. There were signs saying "no mask, no service!" And that's about all there was. People walked in mask-less and got seated. People were walking around without a mask. The video games and pool tables were open. Kids running around without masks. Our party had food catered. Once at the table, there was a card to fill out with your choices - excellent!! However, it took quite a while for food to come out and it wasn't worth the wait. The best thing was the salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and dressing); the pizza crust was soggy, pasta was basic, and the chicken strips were frozen. Clearly what was made in-house wasn't good. I left after I finished my plate because I didn't need to be there any longer than necessary.

Every time we come here service is amazing for the most part. The buy night could be better but completely understandable. Food is always good but the drink are definitely not mixed properly at all. I think the bartenders need some classes.. I ordered one drink all night and every time I got a different version of it. Stick to beer, can't screw that up I guess and at least you know how much alcohol you're getting in every drink. Bathrooms could use more check ups for sure as on busy nights they're out of TP or just really messy. But definitely better than most other bars. Overall I would suggest this place to anyone for a fun night out. They have pool tables and other cool games in the back.

My boyfriend and I love to come on weekdays and get lunch/play pool, staff is always friendly and the food is really good!

Great food, salmon and parm and garlic chicken balls are great. We eat here often close to home and very nice staff.

We were looking for a place to play pool or darts to finish up our night of shenanigans. To be perfectly honest, I just wanted food. I'm pretty easy going, until I get hangry. Then all bets are off. You better feed the lioness. We also didn't want to spend an arm and a leg (I was ready to just eat his arm and leg). He thought of this place and got very excited. Apparently it was somewhere he used to hang out in during his youth. We walked in and he gasped. It hadn't changed at all! We were greeted at the door and told that there were no tables available because there was a league playing. I let him soak up his nostalgia, and grabbed a booth. The place was enormous! I loved all the fish tanks surrounding the bar area. The menu was quite impressive. He was having difficulty deciding so I told the waitress to bring both his choices. I'm hangry damn it! Fooooooodd!! The food arrived swiftly. It was hot and delicious. I recommend the steak tips. The zip sauce was amazing. I could have drank it. It was affordable and had a great selection of beer we played a game of pool...which of course I lost. :(. No darts though? That seemed odd to me. The place could use some updates, but it was a super fun night and the experience was enjoyable. I will definitely remember this place when looking for something to do. What a fun evening!

The service here was an absolute disgrace, all thanks to the incompetence and downright rudeness of our server, Hailey. My friend and I were treated like unwelcome intruders, forced to endure the discomfort of being placed to play pool near Hailey's boyfriend and his friend, who was desperately clinging to her boyfriend's side like a lost puppy, despite him barely acknowledging her existence. Despite our simple request for a change in music, Hailey couldn't be bothered to lift a finger until her precious boyfriend's friend spoke up. And even then, she had the audacity to switch it back to her preferred genre moments later and came singing to her boyfriend's table like she had won a prize. It was painfully obvious that she couldn't wait to get rid of us and kinda embarrassing on her part to be fair, as she practically threw the bill at us after a measly attempt at servicing us, we left a good tip(30% hoping to coax a decent recommendation out of her despite us being treated like garbage). Let's not even go down the road of her pathetic excuse for a recommendation for another spot - clearly, her poor taste extends far beyond just music selection and jealously is unwarranted. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like dirt by entitled servers who are too insecure to have their men out in public.

We hosted our class of 1987 reunion party here this past July. It was a super success! We had a few bartenders and they were great, they were very accommodating! We chose a good selection of appetizers and they weren't chinsey on the amount of food they gave us, refilling everything as needed. It was a great venue for this and very reasonably priced compared to other places in the area! They accommodated our last minute changes to the number of people easily and let us check everything out before hand. Thank you!

Avoid like the plague. Poor service, poor food. Bar food at its worst. Was this place ever good? Poor selection of beer, food and you get a place I would never go back to this place.

I am writing as a (now former) regular customer at the shark's club. I visited tonight and approached the bar requesting a pool table. A staff checked the waiting list and told me I would be next. She wrote my name down and then I was called for my table. I went to the counter and a tall male manager gave me the balls for the table. However, as I was walking away I heard some waitress complain to him that she had friends who wanted a table. 5 minutes later he comes up and says he is giving the table to someone else as he made a "mistake." I paid my tab and left I'm not coming back. I've been a regular customer there for a long time, but since management changed it's been going downhill.

I appreciate the rapid response and apologize for having to take this route. Yelp having removed my initial response did not allow an opportunity for editing. The issue was addressed fairly and to our satisfaction.

I came up here a few times now and gotten same waitress and it took her 30 minutes to get me my beer and then 20 minutes after I asked for my tab I will never come here again because of the shitty service

Don't go here for food, all of it was so bad! I don't think I've ever had such bad food before. I got the Chicken Ranch Salad, there was a lot of browning lettuce and core pieces, the cucumber was slimy, the chicken was tough and chewy, and the bacon just tasted wrong. The broth and the onions were good in the French Onion Soup, but the bread inside of it tasted like wet dog where I wanted to spit it out. My husbands burger was a burned flattened patty and some of his fries were only half cooked. Our friend said his boneless chicken wings tasted really funky and chewy, they weren't breaded, and the mango habanero and bourbon sauce did not have any spice or good flavor to it. The carrots he got with it were wrinkly, like they were old. The pop didn't taste right for any of us, like it was watered down with the wrong syrup. Even the Red Bull Vodka tasted off. I will say there are a lot of cool looking pool tables and booths, and their shark shirts looked cool, but that's the only good thing about it. My husband said it was a really classy place years ago, but it's just a "classy" dive bar now if you're looking for a bottled beer and a place to hang out with friends

What a fun place! Very large open bar / restaurant that is so fun. Lots of tvs on to watch the games, good food, shoot some pool, or play some video games. You certainly won't be bored at the Shark Club!

I work across the street from Shark Club and would love to order lunch from them more often. I work with around 15 people and we all like the food. What we dont like is that it always takes forever to get our food from carryout. Like today. I called in 15 mins early for a carryout bowl of soup. One bowl of soup. Yet when I got there I still waited another 15-20 mins to get my soup. What was the point of calling in? Nothing. I have a 30 min lunch which is why I called in early. The woman who got me my soup eventually, didn't even come over for almost 10 mins eventhough she saw me standing there. We used to order from there all the time for lunch but the lunch service sucks.

I love this place. They have great tables for pool, and they don't try to rob you blind to use them like every other pool place I've been to. The pizza is great, desserts are as well. The aquariums are very nice, and it has a variety of screens for sports. The only thing they could work on, and I actually stopped coming by for a while because of it, is the service. It's friendly, it's accurate, but slow as molasses. I don't know if the waitresses are getting lost because the building is so huge, or maybe they're misinterpreting the "wait" part, but finding your server is almost always a chore. If you got your food and decide you want something else, like dessert, you better tackle her if she walks by because otherwise you'll be waiting; and more than once I've had to take my check to the counter because I was tired of waiting to cash out. That's the only thing keeping me from giving five stars to this great place. I'm updating to say the last time I was here the service was great. I don't remember the tiny girl's name but she was a role model for attentive service without hovering.

I've never been a regular here, but when Ashley started serving there and invited me to give the Shark another try, i'm sure glad I did. Her service and personality turned around my opinion of the place and i'm happy to visit and have some drinks when I know she will be there to take great care of my friends and I!!

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon on our way home. The food was surprisingly better than I thought. We started out with an appetizer of Fiesta Sticks (spice cheddar sticks coated in crushed nacho chips & deep fried). They were awesome! My wife had a Chicken Taco Salad that was HUGE (she couldn;t come close to finishing it!), and she said everything agout it was great. I had fish & chips, which definitely hit the spot. The prices were very reasonable, and we had a coupon to play a free hour of pool, which was very nice! Service was great, and overall I'd certainly go back to the Sharks Club!

If you want to have fun this would be a right choice, food is decent reasonable prices. Staff is friendly once they acknowledge your there, it is more a regular client place rather then welcome new people everyday. (So it seems)

The food was surprisingly delicious! The menu listed pretty standard bar food but my steak was cooked perfectly and the side of mixed vegetables was vibrant and ever so slightly still crunchy. The side of jus wasn't necessary but was a nice salt note to dip my steak and veggies into. The decor is pretty blah and the vending machines are kind of a turn-off. Lots of TVs if sports are your thing and there are pool tables and arcade games. I dined alone but the noise level could be an issue if trying to hold a conversation. I would definitely return to try something else from the menu!

Was here for my cousins baby shower and the food was good! We were off in a side room that was near the pool tables. It was great to be able to walk back and forth from the party to cut loose and play some pool. The server we had was super nice and the bartender made a delcious bloody mary!

Last night was WAY too loud. It made my head get a major headache. Service was great, food, well, disappointing. Keep away from their pizza, it is extremely undercooked.

My sisters and I had our Mom's 90th birthday party at the Shark Club on November 4, 2017, and it was fantastic!!! We had over 70 friends and relatives in attendance and everyone had a great time! Val was there as our hostess and she was so very helpful and attentive! The two young women at the bar were so friendly, it was like they were part of the family group. We had the appetizer menu (the party was from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm) and there was plenty of food. No one went away hungry. The club took care of cutting the cakes, had a microphone for our speeches and just made the afternoon wonderful! I can't say enough good things about the club, the staff, and the food! We were able to get in an hour and a half early to decorate and never felt rushed to leave, even though there was a group coming in after us. I live in California and working with Sarah and Val was a piece of cake! If I ever do another party back in Michigan (back home), I will go back to the Shark Club! Thanks to everyone who made that day unforgettable!!!

Waitress brought someone else's appetizer. We took pretzel and she still took it to other table after us touching food. Waiting a long time for food to come. Keep in mind it's only 1pm and we ordered around noon. Extremely slow service, and not too bright. Piss poor bathrooms. Everything is falling apart

Good drinks, good bar food, great bartenders. We always have a great time here playing billiards.

Stopped in last Wednesday evening and met a date there. Very nice tables, service was friendly and attentive. Very large place too and they have an Amazing Aquarium.

Very awesome atmosphere. Definitely something different especially for a date night as they have multiple pool tables, arcade game and many more activities. Also lots of room for private party and get together. The food was great also and had no complaints.

Ive been coming to the shark club for 10 years. I love the Reuben sandwiches and the chicken caesar wrap. I especially love sundays for the 3 dollarmichigan craft beers!! I must add that Bobbie always has a great attitude and a smile on her face. All the staff is very attentive.

While I ate here a lot and was never disappointed, this review is for their banquet services. I had my wedding here on October 1, and I can't imagine a more perfect day. My husband and I mostly worked with Sarah and Valerie, who were both super accommodating leading up to the big day. We reserved the space about 10 months in advance, after cancelling with the venue we had chosen in our current city of Chicago. Planning from out of state was a very frustrating process overall, but everything went very smoothly with Shark Club. Leading up to the wedding date, they worked with us maybe needing to also use the space as a backup ceremony location (which was not needed, thankfully). They always responded to our emails promptly. The week of the wedding, we got to Michigan on Wednesday night. Our wedding was Saturday evening, and there was a reception Friday evening in the smaller part of the banquet space. We were able to set up the unoccupied half of the room on Friday, so our (moderately complicated) centerpieces were set nice and early, and our coordinator was able to come in Saturday morning to set the rest of them. Everything was clean and easily accessible. On the day of the wedding, it was rainy and crappy outside, but we got a bit of sunshine for photos and the time around the ceremony. When we got to Shark Club, almost all of our guests were seated or mingling inside while the wedding party gathered outside. Jeff, the house DJ we had for the day, met us outside to go over wedding party entrance and announcements. When we got inside, everyone was having a great time! We mingled for a bit, then dinner was served. Both bars were fully staffed and fully stocked, and wait staff also took drink orders on the floor and made sure we and our guests wanted for nothing. The only fault I could possibly find was that the buffet lingered a little long and there was a significant lapse before the dancing started, but I think that was on me, and I was a bit distracted with our guests. My uncle broke his ankle about halfway through the reception when he went outside to smoke and kept partying with us until 1:30am, so I think it was a pretty good party. The food was great, the cake table, guest tables, head table, and favor table were all gorgeous, the drinks kept flowing, and the staff cut and served our cake (three different flavors), checked with me when everyone had been served, and cut and served the remaining cake at my request. I was just so, so pleased with how the evening turned out. Thank you for making my wedding day perfect!

Shark Club kitchen is open until 1am which is always a plus if you work late. The food comes out fast and the service is adequate. Perfect for sports teams or family gatherings. We hosted our sons graduation party at SC and they have catered several events for me over the years.

When I moved to the area this place caught my eye and I'm so glad I checked it out one afternoon on a day off. I got a great lunch and the waitress gave me the scoop on nightlife and got to freely look around. It's very clean and modern, and they have tons of pool tables and DJ/dancing for night fun! The food is really good and we had a blast hanging out one Saturday night dancing the night away. Love that it's a fun place to go close to home so we'll definitely be back. The building is pretty big so even though there were tons of people, it didn't feel crowded. They have giant fish tanks making a fun atmosphere. Pretty cool!

I'm not a fan of pool halls so it's surprising that I really like this place. Some days the clientele look a little rougher than other days but I've never had an issue. Food is pretty decent but it's the service that brings me back. I went there twice and each time asked for a particular whiskey that they didn't have. The third time they had it. "That" is customer service in a nutshell. Another thing they do is offer free shuttle service to their patrons if they happen to over indulge. That to me speaks volumes and I think other restaurants should take their lead.

Joe I wish it was just miscommunication but the fact that we gave 2 different opportunities to rectify the situation proves that this was clearly just poor customer service. At no time were we hostile or voguer so for the management team to tell us to have a good night without even trying to justify the situation speaks the world of the customer service practiced unfortunately.

I like this local place ,great beer selection for a reasonable price.food is good typical bar menu and good daily specials.
