Very good pizza, thin crust, fresh ingredients, good combination. Totally not expected to have it in Galveston, but here it is! We ordered the Cheezy Garlic Bread, the Big Fred, the Hawaiian and the Apple Crispy for dessert, all come out perfectly, good job!

First of I am from New Haven the home of thee best Pizza!! So when I went to visit Texas I was on a mission for great pizza!! I found it on Galveston Island!! I went last year and they left a lasting impression so a review was necessary!!! First of the staff was so friendly and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners! She was so sweet and shared with us the story of their amazing brick oven! If memory serves me right it was made in Italy and shipped! I reassured her it was well worth it!! The pizza is absolutely amazing!! Thin crust, hand tossed, fresh ingredients, great sauce!! Just simply perfect!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!! And the live music was phenomenal. The band playing was amazing!! We danced a little, met great ppl and enjoyed ourselves tremendously!!

Under new management and new name... their wood fire pizza was not good. Nothing else on that menu was available. Looks like the crawfish boil was popular. NO beer on tap, white wine came in a single use bottle- had to ask for a glass. The women's bathroom had a note to please excuse the mess due to a leak in the soda line above it. It was red and actually dripped on me while I was using the stall. Told it'll be better next week, but I won't be back.

Excellent place for live local entertainment & awesome pizza. Bartenders are great. Friendly & make tasty drinks. Holly the owner picked a great location between downtown & the beach. Furbabie friendly which is a must. Relaxed atmosphere for drink & to chill & not worry about being bothered.

This was a stop in and listen to music kinda night. They had a open mic night. Started with a house band then other can come in and sign up . You can use the house band , you can bring your own band use their stuff or just bring you and a guitar and you dog 😂😂 . Very relaxing setting . Outdoor patio front and back. Full bar and they make Pizza! It a one size thin crust pizza good for 2 made in a tile shark brick oven. The menu has very interesting variety’s. Pool table , shuffle board. All is indoors but the do have big garage door they can open kinda ice house feel . Very clean and staff was very fun and friendly! Shark decor was great . Pet friendly place as you can see in pics

Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service, delicious wood fired pizza & large selection of beers on tap. We enjoyed the venue, fun eclectic ambiance & good vibes. We were treated as soon as we walked in by the friendly bartender and grabbed a high table. We came for the wood fired pizza and Sharky’s did not disappoint. After looking over the menu she recommended the Big Fred. The pizza is excellent. Nice thin crust, fresh toppings and overall excellent flavor. They are a little pricey but well worth it. We will definitely be back to try several of their other signature pizzas.

Great little spot! Serves pizza until 2am and has live music every night. We ordered the garlic cheese bread which was decent. Big chunks of chopped of garlic everywhere made it so some bites were wayyy to garlicky, but overall was cheesy and good! Had strong drinks which was a bonus. Definitely seemed more like a local bar instead of it being overly touristy.

Ouch ! I am ONLY a Food critic SO the rating is based ONLY on the pizza. I had read the reviews before and while I was waiting on my pizza. I ordered TWO because I was told they ONLY offered ONE size ( large )& I was getting these for myself and two friends. I was EXPECTING a lot since I paid $37.00 for both. The only options you had was toppings. No option on thick or thin crust. WELL, when I got home and we gathered around to see the pizza's - I was quite embarrassed. I was utterly speechless. My 1st thought was of Clara in the Wendy's commercial looking & saying " where's the beef " ? To have SPENT $37.00, I COULD have gotten much, Much more ANYWHERE else. The Thin crust COULDN'T have been ANY thinner. The toppings COULD have and SHOULD have been MORE. SO I CAN only say IF you ARE having a good time @ Sharky's, DON'T ruin it by getting a WAY OVERPRICED pizza.

Fun place to go with friends, especially when there is live music. Pizza is a solid B. Order drinks at bar. Super casual.

Go for the pizza it was awesome!!! Margarita was a bust!!! We sat down waited to see if a waitress would approach but there must not be. Went to the bar orders a drink and the Fred pizza, LOVED the pizza!!! The love band was decent but next time I will get the pizza to go.

Are you OK with computer glitches where they double charge you? Beware!!!! We visited at a very slow time. When we arrived there was NOBODY else there. It was not busy at 3pm on a Friday. A young lady with long blonde hair greeted us with "Here's the menu. Order at the bar." No pleasantries on a Friday afternoon. We were in a good mood and continued on. We ordered a pizza and a few beers. Each time we got up from our table to order our beers. That's ok. But hey no service. When we went up to the bar to pay the bill it was extremely overpriced. What? We were charged for 2 pizzas instead of 1. Ok that's okay but the young blond server refused to take responsibility and blamed it all on "the computer". No apologies, no I'm sorry. We expected more. Eventually this lowly server told us to never come back. Really? Does she have that ability? Really wonder what the owner thinks????

So this place has the best pizza in town. Limited menu but good god the pizza is perfect. Thank you chef. The service is terrible. Not because contract labor there doesn't try. They try real hard. I blame the owner. They don't have enough bar help to take care of the clientele. Its obvious. The regular bartenders work their asses off, but the others hired to suck. The manager needs to start paying attention NOW or this place will go bye bye-bye quick.

June 6, 2021 Met 4 other locals here at 6:30...the place was packed. Band playing. (I think it's open mike night) This location has been 2-3 other bars since I've lived here. Sharkey's has been open now 4 years so maybe these owners are doing something right?!! I met one of the owners who was actually working...he was super nice and talked amongst his customers. I like that. They make their own pizza and have a huge brick oven stove to do it in...seemed popular. BUY LOCAL SUPPORT LOCAL

We came in the middle of the day. Just a group of softball players and parents looking to stay cool and grab a bite to eat. They had a great assortment of drinks and some interesting pizzas. We tried a few but the favorite with the girls was of course the pepperoni. It was a slow day but the waitstaff was great at keeping our glasses full. It was good enough we went back the next day.

I would consider this a local dive bar atmosphere. Live music was more of a blues style and really great talent. The patrons seemed more of the 50+ variety and we went for the food and because we were just arriving on the island and needed food late at night after checking in. Our attire was leggings, tshirts and messy buns...we fit right in. Food was good though and the right size portions. Also the drink sizes and heavy handed pours were appreciated!

Wait staff non-existent. If you like standing at the bar while the bartender does everything but serve non-regulars then this is the place for you. The inside is ok but the patio area is less appealing.

Pizzas are great and Z behind the bar is the best. Live music seven nights a week, great bands.

Beer was cold. Did not try the pizza. Was there early but it looks like a good hangout. Will go back.

Nice dive, great pizza, good music and cool ambiance! We'll be back. No one waits on you - order everything at the bar, including your pizza. Wood fire pizza was great, the one I ordered had Kalamata olives and they were scant. Overall, great hangout.

Pizza and cheese bread were great... we were looking for pizza when we got into town. The service was struggling and it was definitely more Bar than restaurant. I ordered Togo and glad I did, it would not have been a place I could have taken my kids inside. The wait staff took awhile to acknowledge I was waiting to pick up my Togo order. They charge extra for take out orders and extra for using a credit card. The wood fire pizza was really good-service and ambiance not so much. But... I'm not sure families are their target market anyway.

Have you ever had an out of body experience due to joy? I have, once. At this particular establishment. The vibe is one of the best, like something out of a chill 80's movie. Maybe like Point Break or the volley ball scene from Top Gun. Which, let's be real, we can all appreciate that vibe. The bartender was a blonde girl named Chelsea. You'd be a fool not to have her as your bartender! Nicer than the number 69 and provided better service than the US government provides to themselves. Not only was the service stellar but she also looks out for the patrons and defends the vibe. While we were at the bar a gentleman with a half grown shady mustache became very rude with Chelsea, myself, and other guests. She shut that aggressive situation down faster than the Cowboys shut down the Giants this past September ensuring our safety and our good time. And the pizza.. fuhgetaboutit! This pizza was made by a Sicilian mob bosses personal chef. At least that's how it tasted. If you don't stop by this place to experience the greatness of Sharky's, you may as well give up on life.

Boo Dro pizza was delicious. Crust was perfect. Also had Hawaiian pizza with chicken that was good. Margarita and local beer were great. Only issue was that they received a 19 pizza order right before we ordered so it took much longer to get our food than it normally would. Owner came out to apologize which was nice. Live music started as we were leaving. Sounded good and it would be fun to go back when we weren't so tired.

We have been here many times and we always like it. Our kids love to play pool and the pizza is really good. It can get way too loud when there is live music (I guess that is the point though) so sometimes we just order pizza and go next door to Devil and the Deep. A good local brewery. Our last visit wasnt the best. They ran out of basil and instead of letting us know, they made our pizza with spinach vs basil. We knew it immediately and asked the bartender about it. He agree that it didnt look like a margarita and asked the pizza guy. Pizza guy said it was a margharita and that is what they look like. We went back to our table and starred at it. The bartender finally came over, took our pizza and told us they will make us a new pizza wit the ingredients that we wanted. THANK YOU FOF MAKING IT RIGHT!! Will be back.

Was really looking forward to having some pizza at this place a bartender recommended us to check out... Now mind you I've never left a bad review because I also work in the restaurant industry but when my boyfriend and I walked into this establishment this morning the bartender never acknowledged us..not a single word just continued setting up and completely ignored us i even said good morning with no response after about 10 of being hungry and angry we walked out

Got the Marley and Margarita. Great wood fire baked pizza. Had an amazing crust!! The crust itself 5/5. Nice personal size pizzas. The place it's self had a great aesthetic. Greta places to come with friends.

This place has THE best Pizza, must try!!! Hawaiian pizza has perfect crust and flavorful!!! Their house beers are just wonderful!!!!

Fantastic pizza. So good. Ordered and brought back to our hotel but will be back. I had the sailors sandwich pizza on gluten free crust and my boyfriend had the Big Fred. Delicious thin crust pizza

Oh boy what a great Pizza!. Went to Sharky's and had one of their fantastic crispy crust pizza's made in the coolest oven on the island. 850 degrees makes the crust super thin, super crusty with just a hint of smoke, We had the Pete's that had sausage and jalapeno's. Bonus..the owners are wonderful people, I'm an oven geek and she showed me how it worked. (Next time I'm going to see if I can make my own pie)..haha...You gotta go... $29.00 total bill with one beer, ice tea and generous tip.

Great pizza!! The yardie is a little spicy as it says but delicious. Cheese bread is tasty. Veggie & cheese pizza also great too. We ordered online for Watr delivery but order was wrong which was VERY frustrating as we were tourists & had to drive to pick up correct pizza.

First time in Galveston and read reviews to go to Sharkys for pizza would have gave it zero stars if I could have. My wife and I arrived I ordered two drinks and a pizza at the bar after my third drink an hr later I asked how's my pizza coming she said they're working on it now and then all the excuses with no help. I whould have given them the benefit of the doubt but there was no one in the place. Too bad place looked cool. 0

We were able to watch football and enjoy a fun atmosphere and great pizza! We would go back.

Positives: The atmosphere is pretty good and the beer is cold. We ordered the veggie pizza and it was better than expected. I would definitely go back and try a different pizza in the future. Negatives: My wife and I stood at the bar for several minutes hoping to order but instead had to endure a vacuous conversation between two employees. My wife actually had to interrupt them in order to spend money there. It wasn't a huge deal overall but quite honestly I would fire employees for that very thing. The pizzas are a bit pricey for the size but I can kind of understand given Sharky's proximity to the strand and all of the tourist traffic. All in all I look forward to my next visit. I certainly hope that the service from Sharky's staff will be better and that the pizza will be as good or better. So far, Sharky's pizza is the best pizza I have found on the island so far and I encourage anyone who reads this to try it. With just a little better service I would have gladly given 5 stars.

Had an amazing time several nights this week listening to live music and hanging out. Service was excellent and the drinks where awesome. Very friendly staff to include the bands.

Excellent wood-fire pizza! Food: Very tasty and flavorful. They only come in one size which I'd say is about 16" pizza. Atmosphere: Make no mistake this is a bar with juke box or live music playing. They do have tables you can sit inside and eat but you order from the bartender (no waitress). So my suggestion would be for a family or someone who doesn't like a local dive bar feel get carry out. The pizza is worth it!

We stopped on a Saturday around 5pm or so bar wasn't busy at all but they was definitely preparing for a crowd you can tell .. Bartender was ok but we basically asked her over every-time we needed something...She did get what we asked for right away .. I was dying for a brick oven pizza we started with the cheese bread that was good with a little to much garlic in my opinion but we still enjoyed it ...A older guy working the pizza area name Jerry if I'm correct was very friendly and brought us our cheese bread right away ...After a couple of drinks from there menu we just decided to leave bc we was full ... Nice little hang out area very relaxed..

Great beer selection. Horrible bar tender....it was like we were inconveniencing her. As a result service was horrible. Wasn't around there long enough to comment on the vibe. Here on vacation not likely to recommend or return.

Solid spot on the island. Decent beer selection and above average pizza. The one we had was a little heavy on the cheese but we fought through it. When we went the weather was decent and the doors were open. I imagine in the spring this would be a great place to sit outside and chill. Maybe they will do crawfish. We shall see. Will be back.

My partner and I popped in for food and a drink after having a beer next door at Devil and the Deep. Everything I asked for the bartender said "no". Everything. Delivered with dead pan humor I guess. I tried to just joke and go along with it, but honestly it made everything super awkward, wasn't funny at all, and made us decide to cut our visit short. The food was good. Bartender was just frankly kind of rude and it really ruined the experience for us.

After hours of working on the house, our family wanted to go out for pizza. We didn't want to go to a chain and we definitely wanted something unique and near the strand and sure enough, Yelp's search brought this place up. We decided to give it a try because the reviews on both Yelp and Google were 4/5. We walked in and there was a few folks at the bar, one lady with a dog but no one really at the restaurant. It was really rainy and cold, and you know Texans don't like either and avoid this combination all together, but we didn't want to cook and we made the trek there. After suiting for a bit, the owner came up and introduced himself and you could just tell that he was so passionate about this establishment. He gave us a grand tour, talked about the wall art, the location, the history of the place. He and talked about the establishment's initiation and how their brick oven was designed and brought in from Italy! He also mentioned that their food was made from scratch in house! How cool! We really liked this place and the pizza was just the cherry on top. We had 2 Big Fred's Pizza and they were delicious. I do have to say that there could have been more sauce in the pizza, but I did ask for it as a side, and it was great. And I guess I was hungry but the pizzas couldn't come fast enough, but when it did I was very satisfied! I will definitely be bringing my family here for some good pizza and walk are for sure.

Great, friendly, laid back place to go for drinks, good music and THE BEST PIZZA. Nice bartenders and owner was very accommodating with changing between baseball and football games. Highly recommend trying this place. Great selection of pizza and cooked perfectly in the shark pizza oven.

I heard about this place from a friend who visited Galveston and had fun here. Nice selection of beer on tap that included local and regional breweries. Fun atmosphere and reasonable drink prices. They do have a brick oven for pizza which makes for a delicious snack. The place was not busy when we arrived and we received our first pizza about 35 minutes after we ordered it in fact it was so good we ordered another but after waiting an hour and repeatedly asking about it we were told the ticket had been misplaced. This is a family owned and operated business and they are in the first year of business. Go for drinks and conversation. Pizza is the only item on the menu and it is thin crust fresh and delicious but you have to be willing to wait for it.

Their impromptu Easter Cajun smoked ham meal was wonderful. I want to know what spices were applied to the ham before smoking. Nice conversation with David. Still gonna do stuff from the menu when they're able to reopen after COVID-19

Pizza is absolutely delicious, kind of pricey but personally it's worth it. Had a nice drink selection and a good live band that appeals usually to the older crowd. Either way it's a great environment for good drinks and food if you need it.

Walking distance off the strand. Laid back atmosphere. Wife and I visited here on a weekend during spring break. Dog friendly owners and patio is open to canines. Pizza is excellent and one pizza comfortably feeds two. Staff are super friendly nice people. They came and gave our dogs water & treats on the patio. Music is great. Very nice little place. Check it out.

Never had the rudest bartender in my life. Came in to the bar and saw a few people at the center of the bar counter and decided to move to the another section of the counter to wait for my order. While waiting , they got their orders and more people came in behind them and ordered after them. The bartender never came to ask me what to I wanted on the right side. One moment I actually thought he waved me to come to the center section from my spot but the music was too loud to hear anything. A 3rd crowd came to the center and he took their order again and so I got upset he skipped me again and ask the guy behind the pizza section if this pizza box on the counter is for "my name" he says yes this is for me. He says you can pay the food at the bar. I took the box and waved at the bartender and he again for the 3rd time waved for me to come to him to the center of the bar from where I was (right side of the bar). Am I wrong or isn't the bartender suppose to ask customers what they want or to drink when they are waiting at the bar (regardless if I'm on the right side area seating). Even so, he skipped me In front of 3 people that came in after me. So in the end, a pick up food order took 25 minutes after arrival. How is a bartender going to wave you to come to him at the center when you already sat down at the right section because the center area was already crowded. Other than that, I was the only non american person at the bar, maybe....that had something to do with it. Pizza was not bad though

While the pizza here was not horrible, I wish the service to order was better- not to mention the bar service. We stood around (in a non-busy bar) and BOTH bartenders (behind the bar) were too preoccupied with their phones and each other. We were never attended (even with direct eye contact.) Ultimately, we walked away quietly paying for just our pizzas deciding to go up one block to Market Station (a bar full of welcoming faces with busy lines) and had a wonderful time. I'd like to think they cared, but they didn't. Decent food, not enough management.

Stopped in on a Monday night to watch football. Good selection of beer and pizza but the best is the friendly staff. Sean the bartender talks to everyone. Great friendly guy. Ask him anything and he will try and help. He gave me the names of a couple other good restaurants and music places. Definitely recommend this place. I'll come back again. They have music on all nights other than Monday

The best pie's between here and Houston!! Super friendly staff. All fresh ingredients and homemade dough. Great a atmosphere!

Fun little dive bar. Sat at the bar top and service was great. Ordered a pizza from the wood fire oven and it was delicious! They have live music every night so that was a fun addition. They also have pool tables.

It's a good dive bar, they play life music, wood oven, pool table, outdoor seating available and the employees are pretty cool.

This place was so much fun, corn hole, connect four, tic tac toe and much more inside. Bands play on certain nights, $1 off all drinks during happy hour. The shark wood fire oven cooks up delicious thin crust pizzas, ranch on the side is an extra $2 and adding toppings is $1.50 each. We got the Big Fred and added mushrooms. Service was good, we ate on back patio, all were friendly!

Great Place. Pizza was great. Live music, dancing. Everyone there is Open, friendly and make you feel right at home. Good vibe.

It definitely has that local and neighborhood type feel with a micro brew with great full size games next door. I was there on Tuesday night and they had a great open mike night. Pizza was good as I love thin wood fired crust but definitely over priced for the size and what you get so that accounts for the 4 stars.
