Yelp
5 stars for fast, healthy, Mexican food. Clean, outstanding service, from the moment my feet stepped in to when my feet stepped out. Roomy, spacious, airy.
My first time inside, the friendly cashier made a couple suggestions. Ordered the power plate tofu with broccoli and side of black beans. Also because I had trouble making up my mind, she gave me the flexibility of a half brown rice/half Mexican style rice. Never encountered management going out of their way like that at a fast food establishment. That alone made me want to return.
She saw me glance longingly at the baked churros. She offered me a piece, next deftly stuck her tongs inside the churros cookie jar and handed me a sample! She motioned to where the salsa bar (clearly marked, mild, medium and hot) was located. Plenty of lemon slices which scored high on my list. The only item I would have liked to have seen on that salsa bar, would have been cilantro. Not long after I had sat down, I found myself watching a sports game on their TV screen. Within a couple of minutes, she brought over my power plate.
Appreciated the symmetrically designed, appealing dinner before me, then realized it was missing the black beans. Asked for them, she promptly apologized and brought them over. I was about to pay for it and she dismissed me. She said it was her mistake, there was no need for it.
She asked how dinner was going. As a cashier, waitress, spirit leader all rolled into one, this was a shiny 5 star dining fast food experience. Seasoned slabs of tofu @ healthy fast food Mexican restaurants amidst Beverly Hills is somewhat of new world wonder to this ancient vegetarian. More impressive, was that the total was less than $8.
