Shashi Hotel Mountain View Palo Alto

I love this hotel. And I travel a lot. I’ve been here 3 times now. Staff has always been very nice and helpful. Parking is great and feels safe, free charging for EV! They have free activities like wine tasting in the evening and yoga in the morning. Gym is also great and well equipped. Never tried the pool and jacuzzi but it looks welcoming. I absolutely try to stay at this hotel when I need to travel to Mountain View!

This place is absolutely amazing! The sauna steam room and hot tub combo is next to none. The only reason why I knocked at a point was that there’s no complementary anything when it comes to snacks or food. I would expect at this price point for there to be some sort of Simple breakfast in the morning but instead they have “breakfast available“ at the restaurant. Not the end of the world, but if you’re in the area, absolutely give this place a shot!

Our stay at the Shashi Hotel in Palo Alto was a solid experience. Upon arrival, we discovered that the TV in our room wasn’t working, but the maintenance team came immediately and resolved the issue within minutes, which was very impressive. The front desk staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. Room service was also quick and efficient, adding to the overall convenience and comfort of our visit. We ordered the Greek yogurt bowl and the pork sausage bowl, both of which were delicious and satisfying. The lemon ginger shot was a standout—we highly recommend trying it! The room was well-maintained, and the hotel was impressively quiet, with only the occasional sound of footsteps in the hallway. Overall, it was a pleasant and seamless stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

For a 5 star hotel, this place gives a motel sleeping experience. I was put in a room where the walls were so thin that I could hear the person above me breathing. Let's not even talk about how loud their footsteps are heard or how I got woken up to stomping twice. Also my room had a door in the wall to the room next door (? I know) so I could hear my neighbour having calls word for word. My general gut feeling is whoever commissioned and designed this hotel originally didn't think as hard as they should have about it and/or items were included as box checkers (pool? Check. Colour changing lights? Check. Auto moving blinds? Check.) This hotel is held up by its hard working staff who turn over the rooms every day and man the ground floor amenities, and I sure hope management know that. Thought the marketplace was also overpriced and cafe quality was average. However, to contextualise this review: Palo Alto and Mountain View don't have many nice hotels at all, period. So this is probably the 'best' hotel around. I'd probably come back again for business but only because of location, and only if I was on the fifth floor.

This place is beautiful. It was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Smart features and the amenities are great here. They put amazing scents in the air throughout the entire hotel. The bar area is well designed, and so is the entire hotel. The rooms offer smart features on the TV that control your entire experience. From the lighting colors and sounds. The place is awesome.

Bed was heavenly! I have stayed at four seasons and Como hotel and this bed feels the same or even better! Was staying here for a night but stayed an extra 2! Location near the mag 7 headquarters. Patricia at the reception was very helpful and a very pleasant individual. Parking is free and trolleys available for luggage. There is a turn down service at night and rooms all high tech where you can adjust lighting temperature music on the tv app. Highly recommended

Room is spacious and clean. Lights can be controlled with TV remote. One of few hotels that actually have stops, mouthwash and floss in addition to make up remover in the bathroom amenities. My favorite part: free parking and free EV charging. Hotel has a bar and restaurant, nice pool area with a fire pit. Staff were also responsive and courteous. I would definitely stay there again! Better than the Hilton and Marriott properties IMO.

I loved staying in the Shashi hotel. we were on a short trip and were surprised by this cozy place. There is also so much to do around such as scenic hikes even available by foot, nice amenities like fresh fruit in the morning, very delicious drinks at night (pricey but yummy) and food in the restaurants in the property, and lovely spa. The service was nice but rushed. We were not informed about some amenities, and the couple before us was clearly explained about wireless, parking, deposit etc..Thank you, I will come back!
