Incredible stay, as always! Thank you to Michael and Nate at the front desk for being welcoming and accommodating. Your warm hospitality makes a great first impression upon arrival and sets the tone for the entire stay. Cynthia at the restaurant- thank you for your kindness to our daughter and making sure everything was just right. Anton at the bar is stellar at custom orders and all the classics- plus he is always a delight to connect with. Shout to the cleaning team- the rooms and shared spaces are always spotless. An extra special THANK YOU to Pedro on the cleaning team. He noticed my daughter and I were going to use the downstairs sauna located restroom- after another guest exited- he sanitized everything before we went in to ensure a safe and clean environment for us. Detail-oriented customer service like that is rare to find and commonplace at Shashi.

Incredible hotel! I was so impressed by the service, restaurant, live music, pool, spa. My daughter and I loved every second hanging out at the hotel. The only flaw, the rooms have sheer covers over the windows, I struggled sleeping from the lights outside shining in and woke up at 6 with the sun. Definitely didn’t match with the fancy hotel and the wonderful amenities. Comfortable beds, big tv, and loved the smell of the bath products. Will stay again but definitely bringing an eye mask.

Bad hotel. 1. Very very old and smelly pillows (smell like hair grease). Changed room and still same stinky pillows. Went down 4 times for them to change, they always sent people but when I come back nothing had changed. 2. Noisy and loud cleaning people, talking loudly in the hallways all day, and going around from morning to evening knocking in a super annoying way at every door repeating "room service room service room service", knocking with their knuckles multiple multiple times over and over and over, it's so annoying to be listening to this knocking radiate across the walls in the morning when you're getting ready or if you stay in the hotel room in the weekend. 3. Staff in the breakfast place is not great, they used their bare hands to take the pastry to put in a bag to pass it to me, i was thinking what's the point of the bag then if you already touched it.. And it was not just washed hands, the person was going around opening doors, touching all of the things just before. 4. Sauna is not on all the time, when you go down you have to turn the knob (1h timer) to warm it up and it didn't even get to 176F/80C in 30min.. By then, I was leaving.. What's the point. 5. No handheld shower head. Come on... 6. Sheets were dirty when i came, obviously slept in. 7. Walls and ceiling are super thin. I was listening to every single step of the person on top, steps, moving stuff, i don't know what. People coughing, laughing, babies crying...

Rooms were very clean and updated. Property was in excellent condition. This is a great place to stay if you work in Tech or going to a concert at Shoreline Amphitheater. It’s only a 15 mins walk and this hotel includes free parking! Staff was also very kind and attentive. They gave us a glass of sparkling wine as a welcome gift. I would stay here again!

Every visit to Shashi Hotel is a perfect 10/10. I’ve stayed here multiple times and always leave already thinking about when I can come back. The overall vibe is luxurious, peaceful, and very zen. The amenities — including the pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym — are exceptional and always well-maintained. While every staff member we’ve encountered has been kind and helpful, Ariana at the front desk is truly extraordinary. She’s not just welcoming — she radiates positivity and genuine warmth that instantly puts you at ease. Ariana remembers returning guests, greets you with a bright smile, and goes out of her way to make sure every detail of your stay is perfect. Her energy and attentiveness elevate the entire experience. She is, without a doubt, one of the reasons we keep coming back. We feel so lucky every time we see her during our stay — it honestly wouldn’t be the same without her. We love Shashi, and Ariana is a huge part of why it feels like our home away from home. Can’t wait to return!

The bathroom in our room was right next to the bed separated by only a thin glass wall hence the title of my review. Having said that, Shashi was within walking distance to Shoreline, where we were going to see Kesha and I highly recommend this hotel for your show going experiences! You’re greeted with bubbly or beer (or a nonalcoholic option) as you check in and the hotel is impeccably clean. There’s a small pool, a hot tub, a sauna, and an exercise room as well as a bar and restaurant. The beds are luxuriously soft and there are robes and slippers in the closet.

After reading the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect.... But we were pleasantly surprised. Of course, there are opportunities for improvement, but the pros far outweighed the cons. I am very glad we took the chance on almost everything Shashi has to offer.||The location was a mix of convenience and quiet. The weight room renovation created a truly elevated space. Sauna, steam room, pool, and hot tub are great. Small spaces with limited seating and availability, with the exception of the gym. Food, drinks, and service were consistently good. Highly recommend breakfast--coffee bar, fruit, and bowls were all top notch. We ate at all three restaurants and enjoyed every meal. Knowledgeable sommelier, fun non-alcoholic options, and delicious desserts.||Parking was plentiful, free, and convenient. ||My favorite part, though, was the pianist and live sax performance. WOW. We flew across the continent and would come back again just to listen to the music in the beautiful open-air setting. Divine. ||Bed was so comfortable, with lots of pillow options provided without request. Quiet. Good blackout curtain. Loved the ability to open the windows. Beautiful bathroom.||Downsides: Room was painfully small and lacked drawers. The closet space was sparse. I am a person who needs to unpack, organize, and stow the suitcase... but that was not an option here. Only one hook in bathroom.||Major disappointment was my bath towel. It had loose, fringy edges that made an otherwise quality product feel and look cheap and worn. Wish there were private outdoor spaces, like patios, available. The shared spaces are beautiful but in a place this special, having balconies would be ideal.||Still a 9/10 experience!

As a lover of staycations I'm so happy we finally discovered Shashi! We received a lovely welcome upon check in and presented with two glasses of sparkling wine (color me happy). Every staff member we interacted with was warm and friendly. I enjoyed a complimentary 10 minute chair massage which was nice. The wine and cheese hour from 4:00 - 5:00 was also a bonus. Had dinner on site at Broma; food was very tasty. Didn't get to use the gym and sauna but it's a nice facility and look forward to trying next time. I wish they had more loungers at the pool instead of chairs as they were full when we went but that's the only area of improvement I noted.

Yelp
The highlight of our visit was the cute XMAS themed decorations every where- In the lobby and on every floor. Outside the lobby near the pool, there is a fire pit to relax and enjoy. My bf called ahead and asked if staff would accommodate anything special for my birthday. He also asked if there were microwaves in our room as advertised when we booked our room and were told there were microwaves in the room. When we checked in, there were no notes of his call. Michael kindly offered us $20 breakfast vouchers instead. I asked for a corner room on the Mountain View. Michael didn't give us a corner room as requested. We would have preferred he communicated that to us. Our room also didn't have a microwave like we were told. My boyfriend went back down to the lobby around 8-8:30pm to ask about our accommodations and spoke with Antonio. Antonio was not helpful at all. He told my boyfriend that it is too late and there's nothing he can do. He gave my bf 2 cards to contact the manager instead. I was pretty disappointed at how Antonio handled the situation with my boyfriend. When I asked if they were able to get us a corner room instead, we were told it couldn't be accommodated as those are different suites. It was a rough start. Our room didn't have tissue paper and the shower would leak and get the floor very wet. We made the most of our trip and the holiday decor was such a nice touch to enjoy. The app was convenient and fun to play with. We were able to change the color of our lights in our room, temperature, maintenance requests for things, etc. service was fast when we used it once. The bed was okay. A bit softer than I am used to, but it's preference of course. The closet space is small. We didn't have space to put any of our things. Our room didn't have a bench. We had to request for house keeping when we left the room. They left Ghirardelli chocolates (2) after each housekeeping visit. Very cute. We enjoyed some drinks at the bar and our time around the fire pit. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the other amenities (pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna). It is open 6am - 10 pm. There is a restaurant, bar and cafe all on site. The cafe was enjoyable and staff was friendly. Breakfast is only until 1000 and the menu on the app is not up to date, unfortunately. Overall, Michael and the staff were friendly during our stay. We were appreciative of the accommodations yet do not plan to stay again.

Yelp
Shashi Hotel is a great stay and conveniently located in Mountain View! Close to the Shoreline Amphitheater, Google HQ, Meta, NASA and Microsoft. Across the way is the Century Theater and down the road a 7-11 and the freeway. Travel to and from this hotel isn't too far from the major airports, SFO and OAK, but SJC being the closest. I appreciate the free parking with complimentary EV charging, access to their gym of free weights, treadmills and Pelotons. Other amenities include access to their hot tub, sauna and steam room, as well as bikes to get around the area. Service was kind and cordially from check-in and housekeeping was timely and pleasant. Appreciated the turn down service. The rooms themselves feel elevated and modern. Clean, quiet and no weird odors. You can adjust the temperature accordingly, change colors of the lighting for ambiance, play music that's soothing for sleep with a wake up option on the TV. The latter seems very considerate for light sleepers or those with babies or children. Wasn't able to use the extent of the amenities, but enjoyed the gym and helped myself to some coffee at their little coffee shop downstairs. The hotel itself wasn't exactly bustling over the weekend, but it did have a fair share of guests. Highly recommend for those visiting from out of town if any of the mentioned areas are a destination for you and out of it's sheer convenient location being pretty central to the peninsula and south bay. Would also make for a good staycation, I do wish they had spa service here. Great room rates as well!

Yelp
Expectation: 5* hotel in the heart of Silicon Valley Reality: 3* hotel in the forgotten corner of the Google Campus -Bare minimum features in room, no drawers or hooks anywhere for your stuff -LED light in room cannot be changed, room is dimly lit -A/C doesn't work well, room was too warm -Dizzying scent of their signature "leather and sandalwood" being pummeled throughout the hotel including the hand soap and shower toiletries -They want you to use their Shashi app but after 2-3 years, some features are still "coming soon" wth -Zero walkability score, you need a car to get downtown and basically anywhere worthwhile. The only upper hand this hotel has is its promixity to Shoreline Amphitheater.

Yelp
The VERY bad: I woke up at midnight with bedbugs on my pillow and about ten bites on my body. I took pictures of the bugs to show the staff. I was moved to a different room immediately, and eventually had my stay comped. But I woke up with a swollen eyelid, incapable of going to business meetings the next day. The pretty bad: spartan accomodations, somewhat dim, and not a single glass or cup for water / teeth brushing. The bathroom vanities and elevators are all a bit beat up. The sliding door entrance wasn't working, requiring a walk through the bar. Also no standard no-credentials-necessary television. Bring the password from your streaming service if you want to watch TV. The good: the staff. When faced with the VERY bad above, they were super empathetic and helpful. They took me seriously.

Yelp
My experience at Shashi was amazing! Parking: free Hotel lobby and service: Clean, modern, and they had an Asian style twist to it. The service was impeccable. I felt so fancy staying here Room: The room is spacious and clean. The sheets were nice and thick as well. Their shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing, and they also gave us slippers to use. The pool/gym/sauna: I love how they had different amenities. My friends and I definitely used them all. There weren't too many people when we went, so we had the jacuzzi all to ourselves. Beforehand, we grabbed a drink at the bar that's located next to the lobby, and they placed our drinks in a plastic cup so we could bring it to the pool area. They have a dry and wet sauna, which I've never seen before. It's usually one or the other. There was a shower outside near the pool and also a bathroom and shower inside the sauna area. The gym is a good size, not too big, and had the basic equipment needed. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will come back whenever I need a staycation.

Yelp
I was fortunate to be able to stay here for a work trip and the location can't be beat. It was a 20 minute drive in from the San Jose airport and 6 minute drive from downtown Mountain view with its myriad dining spots. The hotel itself is new (built within the last five years) with an interesting architecture and LEED certified building. The warm wood tones and steel mix are nice through the lobby and the wood tones (I believe laminate is the flooring for the rooms) are attractive. Half of the rooms look out on the open courtyard. Parking is easy with a garage connected to the hotel and complementary with the rate. The mattresses are nice and firm and housekeeping is not only kind (I couldn't sort out the cooling system and they were quick to help) but also offers a turndown service. If we ever travel back to the area for a personal trip this would be my hotel of choice.

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are modern and spotless, and the location is perfect. They also have electric vehicle chargers, which is a huge plus. A truly modern and convenient place to stay!

Yelp
Awesome hotel for a quick staycation. Reasonably priced. Nice n Quick check in. Free car charging which is a huge plus. I looooove when hotels have robes and slippers. The pool area is really nice. If you drink alcohol you'll love the outdoor bar. We had a quick dinner at the restaurant. I had the braised lamb shank and Omgsh it was so delicious 10/10. Quick drive to the movie theater. We didn't have breakfast there but we should have. Next time for sure.

Yelp
We had a good stay. The rooms are well appointed and beautiful although the two king bed we had didn't have a bathtub for soaking. I felt that the hotel was a 4* rather than 5* but front desk were gracious. The walls are a bit thin and down the hall there was a loudly barking dog that I was glad we weren't near. We also heard constant clomping of feet upstairs and the restaurant was closed due to a private event and we were unable to get room service. These may have been circumstantial to the time we visited but it was disappointing to not be able to get food when we arrived as walkable options are limited. The value was good for the price, and I would possibly stay there again for a work trip if the price was right but not if I wanted a luxury experience.

Yelp
My friend usually stay at "TET.." hotel. She said that hotel is more high end, but when she found out that they started charging parking fee for $22. She said let's try another hotel. Lol!!! End up we found this one. Here are the things that we liked about Shashi: Free parking, free bikes, free bottles of water, it had a hot tub, a sauna and a steam room, free slippers, shampoo, conditioner, soap, q-tips and etc. That means we don't need to worry about bringing this and that. We enjoyed our time in Shashi. We saw some family taking their kids to the pool and hot tub day and night. They are happy and had lots of fun. :)

Yelp
This hotel is simply beautiful! I did a quick tour and went down to the restaurant. The rooms are beautiful and modernesque with lovely colors and a nice neutral scheme. The drinks are very whatever. Definitely overpriced cocktails but the beer was very boring. They have mostly canned drinks and the beers on tap are not memorable. I'd say the restaurant as a whole isn't worth the price whatsoever. The hotel is still very beautiful though and super chic.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely hotel that is my go to for all work trips! The staff is stellar and always beyond helpful. The rooms are light and clean and simple but not in a way that feels cheap. Plenty of plugs for all of those on a work trip. The gym is really nice and they even have a sauna and steam room. The bar area seems super hip and the hotel houses the fantastic restaurant, Broma! Truly my favorite place to stay when I'm out here.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay at Shashi Hotel! We were staying here for just one night for a concert that was at the Shoreline Amphitheater. The location was a quick 10-minute walk to and from the concert which saved us on parking and UBER/Lyft. Things we loved: -Free parking for hotel guests and plenty of parking in their 5 story parking garage -Very clean -Friendly staff -check in process was the fastest I have ever seen (and I travel often for work where sometimes check in takes 15-20 minutes!) -The atmosphere was a VIBE! Music playing, open air, nice pool/jacuzzi. -Bar/restaurant had quick good service -Room temp, lighting, etc. are all run by using the TV monitor to change them. -Optional color lighting in the rooms was fun :) Things that could use improvement: -in the rooms the bathroom and the bed are only separated by very thin plastic (not glass) wall that was frosted but you could still see shadows and hear EVERYTHING that was going on in there. If you are a shy pooper, this is NOT the place for you. -The chef special was soft shell crab and my husband didn't like it at all. -Small breakfast menu. We will got enough to eat and were happy with our order, but it was a small menu of options and you order at their cafe/coffee shop. Unfortunately, we didn't stay long enough to use any of their other amenities such as the gym, sauna, pool, etc. but we plan to stay here again when we come to town for the next concert at Shoreline. Again, GREAT experience at this hotel.

Yelp
Stream lined, clean, tech forward, cool and trendy. We arrived very late to this hotel. The concierge greeted us very warmly. She took her time to advise me on what was available for food and amenities, such as sauna and spa. The aesthetic here is sleek, not barren. It's still lively over in the bar area. I can see from the front desk there are private spaces for meetings. This area is definitely part of the Silicon Valley epicenter. Very convenient. Our room is well appointed. The bed is awesome!!! So comfortable! Enjoyed a great sleep. Every detail is thoughtfully put together here from sheets to soaps. I had a grain salad for breakfast with a perfectly jammy egg sat on top. The coffee is light and citrusy. Service is exemplary here! Looking forward to future visits.

Yelp
I stayed here for a work trip and loved it! The room was beautiful, clean, and simple. The staff is really friendly here as well. One thing to note: they charge for early check-ins. The bed was very comfortable and overall a really relaxing space to stay.

Yelp
Had a bad experience with Shashi Hotel where they didn't have a baby crib. We called 2 weeks in advanced and asked for a crib, in which they promised they had one. When we got there, we confirmed with the concierge that they had a crib, and were assured they had one in the room for us. When there was no crib in the room, we called the concierge three times, and they kept telling us the crib was on the way, only for them to admit they didn't have a crib. After the terrible service, the manager reached out to us and apologized and gave us the room for free, which was nice. The hotel amenities are fine, just don't book if you plan on bringing a baby.

Yelp
Definitely not a 5-star hotel. I stayed here and needed quiet so I could rest. The fact parking was free was good, but it was so very loud as they hosted a party with out informing us that went late into thr night with music bumping so loud we could hear all the lyrics to the songs and the base. When we arrived there was a Powe outage which was out of their control that we were gracious about and waited out, but considering there were greasy hand prints on the bathroom semi transparent wall and the door was sort of gross. The desk was chipped there were wires exposed underneath for the TV that wasn't reliably working and to top it off they made the bed with torn sheets. The staff you could tell tried to be kind, but I think some of these issues had to do with thr management of the building. The main reason I am writing the review it to warn others if they want somewhere quiet and luxury this isn't it. It felt more like a 3.5 star hotel and with it being so loud I would have been happier in a best Western.

Yelp
Boutique hotel in the middle of Silicon Valley. Everything felt very designed and intentional. I love the aesthetic and feel of the interior which was worth the price. It's a cool spot for business trip especially if you are tired of staying at the hiltons and massive chain hotels that I feel it's a bit stale. The lighting and ambiance is definitely very modern and classy. After a long day at meetings, conferences and staring on screens, it's comforting to not have a noisy environment and find reprieve at this hotel. The staff was very friendly with greetings and would ask if I needed anything. They have breakout and meeting rooms on the ground floor. There's a movie theater across the street. They have their own fancy restaurant and bar. My only critique. A small pool area on the ground floor. I wish the pool was a roof top bc having it on the first floor and being in the center of everything, it makes me feel like ppl are always watching you.

Yelp
We stayed here recently and dined at both The Emerald Hour and Broma. The hotel has a lot of amenities that are beyond what is typically offered. It was nice to be able to charge our car for free overnight. Both restaurants had great food and service. Staff were friendly and helpful. Heads up that gratuity is automatically added at The Emerald Hour. Though the Shashi app promises to have your room customized to your preferences at check in, that didn't happen. None of the things we entered about our preferences made it to our record when we checked in. No big deal. The room was supposed to have some nice tech features, but none worked. The app was supposed to control the lights, temperature, etc. Nope, it said "feature coming soon." The front desk folks had no idea why. No big deal, but our room was a weird glowing green color that we could not change. The front desk directed us to use the TV remote instead since they didn't know why our app wasn't functioning. Nope. Engineering had to come up and bring a new cable to connect to the TV. At least we finally got the weird green lights glowing all around the room turned off after that. It got pretty cold overnight, but the heater would not come on. We set it through the app, and the TV, and by the thermostat on the wall. Though all three were set to 70 with the fan on high, no heat. I would try the hotel again, but for a place that serves a lot of clients doing business with Google, I did expect the tech portion of our stay to have gone more smoothly. I took away one more star due to dirty floors in the room. My house slippers have a white bottom. I wear them at home, and other hotels, and they stay white. They were grimy, dirty after a one night stay. I assume they just vacuum the laminate floors. That does not get them clean. At least I didn't have my bare feet on those gross floors. Overall, it's a nice property in a good location. Hopefully they sort out access to the basics of cleanliness, light and heat in the rooms.

Yelp
Booked two connecting rooms for a mini weekend trip with my family. Rooms are clean, temperature was nice and cool when we arrived and the bedsheets were crisp & neatly folded. Asked for a crib for my toddler but was provided a pack and play with no baby mattress. Luckily the closet was equipped with extra blankets so I was able to provide a makeshift cushioned-bed. The room lighting was a little dim. One mini ceiling light located in the far corner of the room. The room was pretty dark during the night hours, the lamps didn't provide enough lighting, imo. They need to take away the motion-sensing lights in the bathroom. Lights constantly turned off while I showered and it was irritating having to step out to turn the lights back on. The hotel venue is pretty small and the rooms surrounds the outdoor dining area and bar patio with a pleasant view. Unfortunately the noise level was pretty loud during the evening and well into the 10pm hour while we were all trying to sleep. Hotel has a garage and offers free parking for hotel guests along with charging stations for free of charge which was a huge plus. Free self-serve coffee in the lobby in the morning. They also have a small mini grab-and-go beverage bar located in the lobby.

Yelp
Nice clean hotel. It's about a 15-minute walk from the Shoreline Amphitheater. Perfect location for going to concerts. Shout out to Nate and the wonderful staff for providing excellent customer service!

Yelp
I stayed here recently on a little one night staycation with my husband. We enjoyed ourselves very much! The hotel is clean, easy to navigate and in a quiet location. The hotel bar was great, the service was amazing and the cocktails were made perfectly. Honestly one of the best places I've had the pleasure of staying at. The bed was so comfortable with fresh linens. I really enjoyed that the rooms had wood floors instead of carpet. It made for a really clean and fresh room. The pool looked nice although we didn't actually use it. There was a nice sized hot tub too. I can't wait to come back and stay again.

Yelp
From the outside Shashi looks like one of the many other office/industrial buildings on the street. However, once you walk into the lobby you get an immediate sense of relaxation and calm. This is a simple but very beautiful and clean property. I stayed for two nights and am looking forward to coming back again to take advantage of more of the many free amenities. They have a sauna, a pool, hot tub and free bikes for rent! I booked through Air B&B and was provided 2 free breakfast meal tickets for each day. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING! I loved having breakfast outside by the pool. I love tea and they had the cutest little set up for morning tea. There is a restaurant and bar inside. The bar is beautiful and the drinks were delicious. The room was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. The TV in the room was high tech and there was access to all of the streaming platforms. The property is located very close to stores/shops and even the movies. I don't give many 5 star reviews but this one was well deserved.

Yelp
Way overpriced which then can get because they're right between Google and MSFT campuses. Good service but rooms mediocre for the outrageous nightly rate. Only positive is its in a super convenient location and avoids the shoreline exit mess.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Clean, friendly staff, and great on property dining. The pool is on the small side and only 6 lounge chairs. We loved the outdoor seating areas and open air area near the front desk with lots of seating to relax. Great coffee in the attached coffee shop. Only negative a need for more soundproofing. Woke up to sounds of a small child running around in the room above us and our next door neighbors played their music too loud and there isn't really any soundproofing around the door in connected rooms. Would definitely stay again!
google avatar

Yelp
The hotel is running ads with booking platforms within Amex and capital one that create false distances. To explain if a setting is at 5 miles from a location they will still show up even if they are 1.5 hours away. We realized this day of our stay prior to arriving and also saw it would create our 45 minute right to Big Sur into a 2.5 hour drive. For my 33 week pregnant wife this just wasn't possible for our baby moon. I called was told too bad. I then reached out to their management as well. No reply. The fact that someone can false lead people to book based on sponsored ads is not acceptable. They have vacancy. Why not do the right thing. It isn't like we took a room from a paying guest. Instead they prefer to put a pregnant high risk 43 year woman in a tougher spot. Well as a result after spending 3 years getting to a successful pregnancy. For the care of my wife and hopefully soon son we booked a hotel in Monterey. Morals matter. When booking a hotel double check. In a similar area I have enjoyed many other hotels. This is one that doesn't have them.

Yelp
This boutique hotel has the best proximity to Shoreline Amphitheater. Stayed here multiple times since it opened in 2021. It's relatively small with only 5 floors but has a great vibe as soon as you walk in. The lobby is open air to pool and restaurant bar area. The staff is always very friendly and professional. You get complimentary bottles of water at check-in. It's about a 15 minute walk to Shoreline. The Google complex is within walking distance as well. Sports Page bar and grill is right across the street. There is a lively social scene in the evenings with free live music on selected nights. Nice bar and dining restaurant called Broma located in the hotel. They also have a little store a limited selection of snacks and drinks behind the check-in. Parking so far is free and the price point per night a little on the higher end. They now offer parking tags so guests only park in the garage. Now the hotel IS lovely, new and clean. The rooms are a nice size and have a fridge. A huge plus! Bath towels are thick and plush, nice robes and slippers provided. The slipper and chocolate on your bed must be new in 2023. It was awesome to see a clean room and a pair of slippers and chocolate on one side of the bed when we returned from a concert at Shoreline. But, we discovered the towels we used were taken and no replacements left so we had to ask for bath towels after a long night out. They complied immediately. The bed is comfy but the pillows are too soft for my liking. The shampoo, conditioner, bath gel is mounted in the walk-in shower. Shower pressure good not great and no issues with hot water. A complimentary vanity kit is located in the bathroom if needed. No toilet issues other than the type of tp doesn't match the lushness of everything else. It's cheapy one ply toilet paper. Aye no bueno! Since 2021 intermittent issues with WiFi and getting television to work without logging into your personal streaming service. My recent visit was for a country concert so lots of folks in cowboy boots and the walking above my floor was loud. Although pricey it's worth the proximity to Shoreline Amphitheater and worth the good vibes you get from their excellent customer service.

Yelp
My partner and I sought a weekend retreat for relaxation, opting for the Shashi Hotel based on positive reviews and its appealing features. The front desk staff provided excellent customer service, and we valued their friendliness. With a $20 credit per night for our chosen room type, we decided to use it at the bar. However, our experience at the bar turned unwelcoming, with misunderstandings about the credit, leading to a sense of being questioned. As an African American woman, I felt unwelcome, emphasizing the importance of equal treatment for everyone, regardless of nationality. The lack of diversity at this hotel influenced my rating of 1 star due to the perceived biased treatment. The room was small, and the TV had issues; an engineer had to fix it.

Yelp
I've stayed here 3 times, and by far one of my favorite hotels. (And I travel a lot) The staff is always extremely welcoming, they remember me, and provide the best customer service I've experienced. The rooms are equipped with all streaming services to log into, and bed and pillows are super comfy. Food and drinks are awesome. Thank you Shashi for another great stay

Yelp
I was only here for 2 quick nights and was out all day for work meetings and events. I frequent San Francisco for work and like to stay in Palo Alto. This was the first time we stayed here and it was incredible. I didn't get to spend much time at the hotel but my experience was incredible. The staff was soooo nice! They had free farmers market fruits in the front. The rooms were so beautiful and clean. They left chocolate by my bed every night. I wish they had a TV I knew how to work but I was so tired I didn't need to watch it. I'd definitely come back here and the prices are great too.

Yelp
We stayed here for a single night to be close to a concert in Mountain View. Hotel is walking distance to the Shoreline Theater, has great breakfast. Room was "techy cool" but there was not much soul to it. Black & white high end decoration, some people like it. I find it too boring and office-like (actually even offices use colors nowadays). Anyway, it was a nice stay, definitely can't complain about the decoration as the hotel served great for my purpose.

Yelp
Loved our stay here. The entire establishment is super clean and very well organized. We were in town to see a concert and it was so nice to be able to walk to the concert venue from the location. All the workers were very attentive and helpful.

Yelp
I booked through Expedia after reviewing the promising reviews on Yelp. It was initially tough to get in contact with the hotel however upon arrival I was impressed by their staff members - honorable mention to Ariana. She was kind, pleasant, attentive and fun. Check in process was so quick and easy. I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary turn down service. For breakfast I enjoyed light bites from the downstairs restaurant. My favorite was the Vanilla Latte. The young man who assisted with check out was kind and helped me through the process quickly. Thank you for the pleasant experience. Ess

Yelp
I wish I could rate this hotel with 100 stars. First and foremost, the staff is exceptional. Ariana seamlessly and quickly completed the check-in process, and was joyful despite the late hour. The dental kit and slippers I requested were sent to my room almost instantly. James was courteous and knowledgeable - an expert in customer service. Natalia was a delight and kindly offered fresh organic fruit from Mr. Lee's (spelling) farm. Krista was also kind - the Shashi Team is amazing. Below are a few of the highlights. 1. Parking structure was bright, clean and spacious. 2. Luggage carts available to conveniently assist with guiding luggage to room. 3. Google bikes available, first come, first serve. 4. Spa facilities include sauna and steam room. 5. Gym has all the equipment one could desire. Clean and stocked with towels and bottled water. 6. Pool was sparkling clean, convenient shower for rinsing off after a swim (only 4 foot depth), and lounge chairs/cabanas give off a South Beach vibe. Loved the Latin American music playing. 7. Live music in the bar. 8. Conference rooms available upon request. 9. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Very clean. 10. Rooms are modern and clean, TV is awesome/doubles as art if you aren't into TV (I watch little to no TV), include coffee machine, percolator, robes, extra pillow. Bathroom is spacious with walk-in shower. 11. Microwave oven available for community use on first floor behind front desk. Warm towels available to clean hands prior to eating. 12. Fresh organic fruit delivered daily from Mr. Lee's (spelling) farm. 13. Location is close to Google HQ, Computer History Museum, and conveniently located to nearby cities. I may be leaving some details out, but it is evident - I highly recommend the Shashi Hotel!

Yelp
*SNIFF SNIFF* Ahhhh.... Who loves that NEW smell? Opening this week is Hotel AND, a brand new urban resort hotel next to Googleplex. Took advantage of their grand opening promo (and AAA discount) for a staycation. Even with my mask on, I could smell that NEW smell upon entering for check-in! T H I N G S T O K N O W * 200 rooms and 5 floors. * Suites are not available yet. * Late check-out available; $10/hour up to 5 pm. * Dog-friendly w/ $25 pet fee. Dog bed and food/water bowls provided. * Join Shashi Loyalty Program for 5% cash back. App is still in the works. * Self-parking in garage ($19 fee). Valet parking is in the works. I easily found free street parking in front. R O O M I booked the Double King (331 sq. feet) because it was oddly $100 less than the smaller Deluxe King (260 sq. feet). More room for cheap? Yes! * Technology Forward w/ app-controlled lights and ac/heater system, and wireless charging station for phone. --While I appreciate the technology, there was a learning curve to figure out how to use the app-controlled items. * 65 inch Apple TV. Subscription needed to access Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. --There was a lot of connectivity issues. The TV kept buffering and freezing. * Fast WiFi. * Comfy Egyptian lined beds and pillows. * Good shower pressure. * Toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, makeup remover wipe, floss pick, mouthwash, q-tips, shower cap, and nail file. Small vanity mirror available. * Unlimited complimentary bottled water. N O I S E So far so good because there's not many guests yet. However, if your room is facing the courtyard/pool area, you do hear the music and conversations going on outside. A M E N I T I E S * Gym w/ Peloton bikes. Complimentary yoga classes to come. * Steam & sauna room (not open yet). * Pool and hot tub. Located in the center of the courtyard, in the middle of the restaurant and bar. Best to swim in the morning or early afternoon for more privacy. * Meeting and event spaces. * Live Scottish bagpipe music to come on weeknights. D I N I N G * Michelin starred Chef; Michael Mina, Plumed Horse, and Chez TJ alum. * The Emerald Hour is now open for cocktails and Californian cuisine. Indoor/outdoor seating with outdoor bar. Reminds me of Oak + Violet (James Park Hotel, Menlo Park). Review to come. * Carte Blanche (Coffee Cafe), Broma (Spanish cuisine), Belle Terre (French fine dining) are in the works. N E A R E S T E A T E R I E S (1-3 minute walk) * Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Zareen's, Hon Sushi, and Subway. S E R V I C E Friendly and enthusiastic. Overall, I'm enjoying my stay and looking forward to future staycations!

Yelp
Such a cute pet-friendly boutique hotel! I believe this hotel is fairly new (one year if I'm not mistaken) and you can tell by how clean/modern it is compared to its surrounding hotels. It was my first time visiting this area since I'm usually in the city but I prefer this area by far. The hotel rates are reasonable, parking doesn't cost you a pinky toe, and you can actually walk around without breaking a sweat from all those hills (in SF). The hotel employees are super attentive and very personable. I hope that as the hotel gets more popular, the hospitality and service remains the same! I was sad to find that the restaurants aren't open yet, but if I'm ever back in this area I'll make sure to book my stay with them again :)

Yelp
This hotel was a very beautiful gem in the middle of Mountain View! The design was gorgeous, the rooms were cute, and the little café next door in the lobby was one of my favorite spots every morning. I also really loved the pool and the hot tub area, it felt like a little paradise. The only reason I did not have a great stay is because the elevator broke while I was inside of it and while I pressed the call button over five times, it just rang out and no one picked up. That's when I started to panic... But around 10 minutes later, I heard someone running towards the elevator and then saw someone pry the doors open for me. Unfortunately, on me, I simply just walked down the stairs to the lobby as I intended to do initially, and made my way over to the gym as planned. I told the staff in the lobby what happened and other than saying, sorry, they didn't offer me anything. I actually even had to ask for a juice because I felt so lightheaded from the experience. It was super scary and I had no idea how long I would be in there, and I had no idea that Help was on the way. I felt that the hotel could've done a lot more to make this experience, less traumatizing or at least help with the aftermath, but they really didn't do anything at all

Yelp
Wonderful hotel with great amenities and free parking (with free EV chargers!) I was greeted my Ariana upon my arrival, who was exceptionally friendly and gave me a feeling that my staycation at Shashi would be a wonderful one. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby every morning! Rooms are fairly nice and comfy; location has very convenient access to Shoreline Amphitheater. Will definitely stay again if I ever find myself in the Mountain view area!

Yelp
Private modern hotel right off Shoreline and close to the 101. Very sleek and modern! I love that it's 24 hour front desk. The rooms are high tech. The pool and hot tub are in the middle. Secluded which is nice, but no sun as the hotel walls surround the area. The cabanas are so cute! There is currently one food option onsite that opens at 5, but they are planning on adding more options. I had trouble figuring out the A/C. I wish they would replace the instant coffee with a coffee maker. Also we needed a business center computer and they do not have one. The gym is quite large for a hotel gym. Front desk employees were so friendly!

Yelp
Incredible hotel! Customer service was excellent, big spacious rooms, and the most comfortable bed I've slept on in years. I felt like I slept on a cloud. I wasn't feeling well upon my stay and they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend

Yelp
The pictures in the reviews are highly misleading; while the front desk is welcoming and the lobby scenery is amazing, the actual room does not live up to expectations set by the online images, especially considering I booked a premium king bed. The room is very small, the WiFi is poor, and the TV operates slowly with strange issues. Additionally, the lights turn on randomly without any interaction with the switch. I only chose this place based on reviews but wouldn't personally return. I'll leave this for tech heads. The only positive is the free parking, but overall, I'd rate it two stars solely for the front desk service. I even had to check out early due to the unwelcoming atmosphere at the restaurant downstairs, which felt discriminatory. Regardless, as a paying customer, I expect fair treatment.

Yelp
Been thinking about rating. 3.5 stars. I came here during our multi-day power outage at home. Wanted to watch one of the games. TV was great. The room was adequate. I asked for foam pillows, which they gladly accommodated. They seemed pretty flimsy though. Modern feel, no carpeting (that's a plus!), looked clean. Except when I grabbed one of the robes from the closet, there was hair on it! Eew. The front desk apologized and immediately sent up a replacement. But a couple of minutes later, another guy showed up at my door to ask if I needed something. Huh? A bit discombobulated. I went and ordered food from the restaurant downstairs and they delivered it up to my room. Nice. Well, for mandatory 20% tip, I guess they can do that. I'll do a separate post for the restaurant. I quite enjoyed the food!

Yelp
Shashi Hotel is an amazing hotel in the Silicon Valley! There are tons of amenities included upon check-in. Most people staying at the hotel are there for work rather than leisure which makes the pool super empty. The hotel has a modern, minimalistic vibe. They also have a restaurant called the Emerald Hour with a Michelin-star chef Jarad Gallagher. RECOMMENDED DISHES AT EMERALD HOUR: * Mt. Tam & Fig Melt | $18 * Wagyu Cheeseburger | $18 * Assorted Spanish Charcuterie | $38 PLACES TO VISIT NEARBY: * Google Headquarters * Downtown Mountain View * Shoreline Golf Course Highly-recommend if in the Silicon Valley area!

Yelp
This is not a 5-star resort. Staff was very helpful but there were many inconveniences that should never be present in a 4 or 5 star hotel, including: - broken soap dispenser in bathroom - bathroom floor and sink are soaking wet after every use of shower or sink - covered parking garage stairs and landing totally flooded when rains - no drawers for storage - room very dark - no real milk or milk alternatives with lobby coffee, only cheap prepackaged creamer

Yelp
Loved staying here since it was so close to many companies' campuses. Very convenient! It's modern, clean and the staff is super friendly. I didn't get the stuffy or snooty feel here at all. The parking for the car was free too! And you can get free water bottles as well. Nice free perks! On the first floor, I saw several conference rooms and a gym! We also sat outside near the swimming pool by the heated area and enjoyed the evening! I love how this place is so luxurious yet not snobby! Edit: during my stay here, I encountered a couple of issues with the room. The staff was so amazing that they not only took care of the issues, but for the inconvenience, they upgraded my room making my experience that much better! They are very open to listening without making you feel bad or sounding condescending. I appreciate their warm welcome everyday!

Yelp
Wow!!! This urban hotel was very impressive. This was my first time at an "urban resort" and everything about it was beautiful and so aesthetic. The hotel from the outside looks very modern and minimal, it *kind* reminds me of a similar aesthetic of Nobu. Upon arriving, you can see the pool and bar. Check in was very easy and the front desk people were so kind and had great hospitality. The rooms are a little smaller than what I'm used to but that just might be the room package we got. The room was super clean and the bathroom was so nice. The beds are very comfy too! Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to try the bar or restaurant downstairs but I would love to soon one day. Beautiful stay for a staycation or vacation here!

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip and I am SO glad I did. If you enjoy staying at luxury boutique hotels, the Shashi delivers! I absolutely loved the breakfast buffet, truly had the most delicious oat milk cappuccinos here! Also really enjoyed the steam and sauna rooms, such a nice treat! The room was very luxurious and the bedding was very comfortable. Sweet touch, they offer turn down service and leave chocolates on your bed! Overall the Shashi is a top tier hotel and I would definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling to Silicon Valley.

Yelp
Couldn't control the AC or the air in the hotel. Woke up at 6 AM in the morning. Hot stuffy and could not breathe. All they could do was give us a fan. Because the thermostat is locked. The walls are very thin. You could hear people walking around and everything they were doing in their room. Couldn't get the TV to work so they gave us a food voucher for the morning. Check out is at 11. Breakfast was done by 10. We were up all night. They knew we would not be up, so we were not able to use them
