I’m extremely picky when it comes to food, and this place completely won me over.
I came here with my guy at Legacy Hall and ordered what is probably the most unhinged shawarma order imaginable: just wood fired chicken and french fries in a wrap. No sauce. No vegetables. NO pickles. Nothing extra. Yes, I know. I’m aware. Please don’t call the shawarma police. Most places give me weird looks or make me feel like I’m being difficult. These guys did the opposite.
They didn’t hesitate. They didn’t judge. They were genuinely kind about it, which honestly already put them in the elite category.
And somehow, even with my painfully plain order, this was hands down the best shawarma wrap I’ve ever had. The wood fired chicken was insanely good, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. I’ve had shawarma in a lot of places, and nothing I’ve tried in Texas comes close.
What really made the experience stand out was the staff. There were two guys working when we were there, and they were welcoming, patient, and happy to talk about how the meat is prepared and cooked. You can actually watch them make your food right in front of you, which I love. No disappearing into a back kitchen. No mystery. Just good food being made properly.
On my way out, I stopped and told them this was the best shawarma I’ve had in Texas, and I meant it. As someone who usually feels awkward ordering food, it was genuinely refreshing to not feel judged for once.
I’m not from anywhere near Plano, but this place is absolutely worth the drive. Yes, even for my very plain chicken and fries in a wrap order. I’ll be back.
