"Situated in a student-friendly area of Brookline, this no-frills, counter-service establishment is great for quick service and quick bites. Shawarma King is recognized for its chicken, beef, and lamb shawarma, available as a plate or a sandwich, rolled up in a large pita (and thus convenient for on-the-go eating). Shawarma King is currently offering takeout and delivery (DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats)." - Samer Khudairi

Great taste and good quality food. We got the kofta kebab plate and chicken kebab sandwich. It was delicious and really great taste especially the sauce and the salad sides and pickles. Sandwich is good for the price but we didn't think the plate is worth for that price. Wish the plate had more kebab meat instead lot of rice and sides. Wasn't a fan of meat pie, expected something like pastries but was like a pita bread with meat spread. Overall great place and quality food, worth a try.

Sorry but the sausage is really dry 🫤 my chichen wrap is not really tasty 😑lost our appetite☹️ we love the finger baklava though 😋

Google
The customer service was awesome. Told them it was my first time there. Ended up going with a chicken shawarma plate. I usually get the same at Garlic and Lemons. I should have said no burnt pieces of chicken, because who likes burnt chicken? Big mistake. When I got home I noticed 2 edible pieces of chicken and the rest burnt. Do they always serve burnt chicken to new customers? I won't be back. Garlic and Lemons in Brighton is way better and for $16 dollars for a Chicken shawarma plate, I felt ripped off.

Google
The staff here are friendly and the service is fast. There's seating outside if you wanted to dine at location. I ordered the shawarma combo plate and was disappointed with the meal. The chicken was very dry and wasn't cooked on a spit (looked baked). The beef was better but not by much. I had to douse in sauce to avoid the dry meal.

When you step over the threshold you are in Lebanon. The food is delicious and the ingredients fresh. The sauce has just the right spiciness. I recommend shawarma with chicken. Mashallah.

Overall I felt for the money it was a good amount of food. I enjoyed the meal. Most customers seemed to come in to pick up to-go meals. The atmosphere inside is more like a diner with hard acoustics. A worthy, tasty meal.

I want to preface this by saying I really, REALLY don't like writing bad reviews... so my goal is that this is more helpful than a critique. As a 7 year resident of the city, I think Boston/Brookline would really benefit from Shwarma/Kebob/Doner/Falafel places given all the students - fast, filling, healthy, and affordable food with veg options? It's tried and true - the concept is great, but the execution needs some help. Naturally, I wanted to try this out for a while, but every time I drove by, they were closed as it was past their business hours. This is great late-night food... especially with students and young professionals everywhere. Why do they close at 8? I've never had shwarma before midnight... that to me is a huge red flag. Students and late-night delivery would flock here if they were open late - there are almost NO late night food options anywhere in the area and it's such lost opportunity for this place that they're not open late. Second, the food quality was just so so poor - especially for the area, which has a high standard for quality. I got the chicken shwarma wrap - I thought it'd be a safe bet, but the chicken was mealy, the garlic sauce (or maybe the pickles?) were very sour and tasted old. The veg was soft, wasn't very crisp/refreshing or fresh tasting. The bread was good, and was nice and warm, but that was the only redeeming quality to the wrap. It was sad to me that their flagship menu item was so unappetizing. Third, the place was old-feeling, dusty, and the lighting was harsh. If they could tidy up their appearance (even for a to-go place), I think it would be more inviting. Decluttering, a fresh coat of paint, and a deep clean of the floors and counters would go far. I think if they could improve upon these areas, they'd have an incredibly successful establishment, but until then, I just can't see myself coming back or recommending anyone come here.

I've been coming here for a long time and always enjoyed the chicken kabob but today both it and the Shish were half over-done and half burnt. Salad, rice, and sauces were fine. Pita was ok. I am not sure if this was a lapse but if this trend continues I'm going to have to find a new place.

Filipe V.

Yelp
It's a solid place for swarms. It's tasty, simple, not over the top, and traditional. For me, I was looking for a bit more oomph in flavor which I think they can do but it's better to be reserved than have too much. The wrap they cook/toast very well. I feel like they should ask how spicy we want it as I could definitely use some extra heat. Aside from that, I recommend this place.

Kim V.

Yelp
Came for a quick lunch. Truth: I'm straight up a carnivore, usually of the red meat variety so when I saw the lamb/ beef wrap sandwich, I was all about it. The thing I always forget is... get the chicken! I've found that generally, chicken is listed first and ordered most because it tastes the best at places like these. My dis- (un-?) affinity of poultry (also generally unless it's fried) made me forget... My sandwich was cooked well and started with a crispy wrap, but the flavor didn't work for me. The spices were off somehow but I couldn't describe it. I ate half of it since I was combating my low blood sugar but also cursing myself for not getting the chicken. This was a very messy wrap with the sauces and perhaps water from the fresh veggies leaking all over. I'm a slow eater so even the half I ate was soggy before I could get to my last bite.

Madow N.

Yelp
The falafel was OK. Not much flavor but decent portion. The chicken kabob skewer was very dry, burnt, and bland. Definitely not worth the price. Didn't try the shawarma wraps - maybe those are better? Take out service was fairly quick. Paid parking lot nearby and street parking if you can find a spot.

Gary S.

Yelp
2 nd time chicken shawarma sandwich was not great. Chicken dried out and not fresh. Chicken also in large tough pieces, the previous owners cut smaller pieces and sandwich was better. May only need tweeking by new owners but i wont go back until i hear a great review

Yelp
How does this place have 3.5 stars it's the best place ever and I love all the food and everyone that works here. Shawarma King staff I love you guys your food is the best especially the eggplant. Yum!

Jeff M.

Yelp
Been coming here since about 2003. Still the best damn shawarma I've ever had! And I love the cocktail juice as well. Not much of a dining experience- more of a to go spot but it's so damn good!

Niki L.

Yelp
Sooo got the chicken shawarma and unfortunately it no longer tastes 100% authentic. Some ingredients may have been substituted so it was a bummer! Also got the Taboule and they layered in lettuce to give less Taboule .... Another disappointment. The tomatoes in the Tabboule tasted old, it was def not freshly made. Disappointed in the diminished quality.

Oliver F.

Yelp
I'd suggest a name change. You can't be shawarma king if what you're serving only looks like a shawarma. The meats are bland and I feel like the meats were stored in a broth. The plates are aggressively priced given the quality of the food and it's served on a Styrofoam plate. The chicken Is just grilled chicken .. it's dry. Why are there 2 microwaves in a shawarma place. Also false advertisement on the door that says "voted best restaurant in town"

Leana M.

Yelp
Not authentic or edible at all. It came from a bowl with old meat sitting in it. Tasted so bad that none of my group was able to eat our wraps. We tried chicken and beef. Both were terrible. Service was good and the workers were nice. Won't be going back. Too bad the place used to be really good a very long time ago.

N L.

Yelp
I used to love this place and was a loyal customer for many years. I went back again yesterday (first time since the pandemic) and was sorely disappointed While I can understand the piece increases, the drop in food quality was very disappointing The okra special (which I used to love) was under seasoned and bland, the grape leaves were soggy, meat shawarma was overcooked to the point of being inedible and tough as shoe leather Sandwiches were ok but surprisingly mediocre and soggy I won't be going back again anytime soon.

Sabri G.

Yelp
I drive for 30 minutes to get a Shawarma sandwich they said online restaurants open until 8:00 I got there by 7:30 the door was locked and I see people on the counter and they see me and they said No and I try to call them No answer. And on yelp it says 8:30.

Maya L.

Yelp
I come in for lunch with a local friend.. we both ordered a separate lunch plates. Since I have to be gluten free and wasn't in the mood for meat, I went with the eggplant and chickpeas dish ... Sadly, their rice has pasta noodles mixed in, so rice was not an option for my lunch plate. I really didn't enjoy the fattoush side salad as it had mint, which I like yet this salad, was tasteless, off putting and dull. I didn't like the chickpea dish either ... I should have ordered something else, yet, between not being able to order the rice given that it had pasta in it, and not enjoying the salad or the chickpea dish, I ended up eating 3 pieces of eggplant on the chickpea dish and a few pickle strips it came with.... Very disappointing for the $16 I paid+ tip . My friend ordered a chicken shawarma, and didn't like it either. She ordered Baklava to take home and found that it was not out in the bag as part of her take home order. When she came to ask the owner about it, he made her feel as if she was lying and doubted her request to get what she paid for. Really bad customer service on their part! All in all, it was not a good experience. I would not recommend spending our money on Shawarma king in Brookline. I would much rather had gone to Lemon and garlic in Brighton. Much better options and service. M.

Yelp
It's Wednesday, May 25, 2022 @ approximately 12:30 pm. I went into the Shawarma King on Beacon St in Brookline. So disappointed. The young staff was pleasant. I ordered the Lamb Kabob Dinner and one can soda for 23.00. I was the only one in there. Not one single table was occupied. My plate came and the lamb was cut into tiny pieces. The lamb was tough. I could not eat one third of it. The rice was over cooked. I was going to complain but the older guy (Probably the Owner) was grumpy and not in a good mood. I really feel like I got ripped off. There are so many great restaurants on Beacon St in Brookline....my advice is too stay far away from the Shawarma King as possible...it's definitely not worth it.

Karen B.

Yelp
This used to be a great place for fresh falafel, but it has gone way downhill. Got a falafel sandwich and was very disappointed. The falafel tasted like a bad mix, the pita was stale, the tahini non-existent. We also got a small humus which was mediocre at best, served with more stale pita. The grape leaves were the only thing that seemed ok. I hadn't been back for a few years, and won't be returning. All in all, completely over-priced for poor quality food.

Diana N.

Yelp
When I walked in and smelled the spices and saw the meats on a spinning on a spit, I knew I was in for a treat. I came in and ordered the Mossakaa Baked Egglplant with vegetables. It comes with salad, pickles, rice pilaf, and pita bread. Holy smokes, the flavor was amazing! The dish was rich, hearty, and filling. The owner was extremely kind and patient, willing to explain all of the dishes. I want to come back and order shawarma as well as the baklava! I came on a Saturday night close to closing time and was able to park right in front of the restaurant. They have several tables, so feel free to take a seat and enjoy!

Shahriar J.

Yelp
If you want good Mediterranean food, they have good Shawarmas. Their plate of shredded lamb with rice is really good. Secret: If you want Bangladeshi food (I'm from Bangladesh) ask for a custom plate with shredded lamb, white rice and lentil soup. The server/chef might get confused, (because lentil soup is supposed to be served separately, I guess) but it's worth it. Pour "lentil soup with lemon" on white rice (instead of yellow rice) and shredded lamb on the side.

Shairose J.

Yelp
This place is way overpriced & the food was very mediocre. I ordered a shawarma combo plate which was dry & tasteless cost $18:95 & a large hummus was $16.00! I've never paid $16.00 for hummus in my life till this past Thursday. Never going back!

Venkata N.

Yelp
Just stopped here on a whim since I was looking for some food, and my was I surprised about how good the food was. I got a falafel pita with spicy sauce(recommeded) and it was perfect. Hit the spot and also the size was very very good for the 10$. The owner was super nice and gave me a sample falafel too how cool is that. Very simple and clean place ", has some chairs and tables to sit down. But the food is authentic and tasty.

Don G.

Yelp
Simply the best. Best falafel, best shawarma, best mid-eastern "street food" period. This is the place against which all other mid- eastern restaurants are judged.

Kay Y.

Yelp
Used my Food for All app to get a HUGE platter for $7. Shameless plug: get the Food for All app and use my code: kay1730 to get a meal for free! Basically this app has a list of restaurants and specific pickup times to get heavily discounted food deals. It's the best! Anyways! Oh my god. I almost didn't go to this place because it looked pretty sketchy from the outside, but I'm so glad that I did. The food that I got was unlike any other Shawarma place that I've been to because of the veggies. The vegetables and pickles were so fresh and the meat was really soft. And I am obsessed with the little okra veggies. Use the app. Come here. Get this food.

Joe C.

Yelp
Shockingly Terrible I am so disappointed by this restaurant visit. Several of my friends told me so many great things about it. The shop is simple shawarma wrap/platter restaurant. Usually places like this are awesome. This one was not. Sorry to say, it is one of the worst shawarma wraps I've ever eaten. The wraps here are grilled which looked like a great thing. However, looks are deceiving. This wrap was wet, mushy, way too much sauce inside, greasy chicken, with way too many spicy peppers. Totally disgusting. Sorry to write a tough review here, but there was nothing about my experience here that was enjoyable. Thanks

Eraj I.

Yelp
Lukewarm and mediocre food, because meats are bland and seem to be either frozen or stored for a while and didn't taste fresh whatsoever. The service is subpar too, no sense of customer service from the people behind the counter. I've given them the benefit of the doubt on multiple occasions and each time got disappointed.

Sajjad P.

Yelp
Ling time customer of this great food outlet but it's not the same anymore. Food quality has gone down a d may be portion size as well. Angelo do something to bring back old glory my friend. I feel bad writing it but hoping that it will improve soon!

Emily R.

Yelp
I only popped in for a quick drink to go, but the rose lemonade is incredible! I will definitely be coming back for it again and to try some food. There were a few tables inside and outside with no crowd. the man at the counter was super nice and the menu looked extensive and authentic!

Steven B.

Yelp
Disaster and grossly overpriced. Never again. Have tried it before over the years and keep giving it second chances.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Visited on a Friday night. First thing that got my attention was that this place smelled good. However, that first impression was soon interrupted by the sound of a microwave. You don't wanna be hearing that. Not a good sign. Anyways, I got a kafta wrap and a side of falafel. My boy got the chicken shawarma plate. Kafta was way overdone, very dry. Good amount of herbs mixed in with the meat. The wrap was chock full of onions. To be fair, the onions had a nice color on them, but way too much. Even with tahini, this thing was unbearably dry, so much so that I felt compelled to get a large lemonade halfway into my meal. Light-handed on the spices, which was a disappointment. Fell far short of the punch of flavor one would expect. Would not order again. Falafel was notably picked out from under a heat lamp, next to the microwave. I know not all places can manage falafel fresh-to-order, but this place wasn't ridiculously busy. There was definitely time to make them fresh. Even after being microwaved, the falafel had a little crunch. Flavor of it was decent. Comes with veggies sprinkled with sumac. Their lemonade is made with rose water, which is a nice touch. Would prefer it to be more sour. Not overly sweet, but lemonade has to be more sour than that. Basically water flavored with a little rose and lemon. I would hesitate to call it real lemonade. Refreshing, though, especially after that kafta wrap. The chicken shawarma plate is a big portion. My boy said the salad was very good. Shawarma itself was okay. Overall, nothing too positive to say. It got annoying to hear the microwave sounds once to twice a minute. Wouldn't come back.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years in advance of concerts or general trips to Boston for a dozen reasons. There's always available parking, as it's in a fairly quiet neighborhood just a few miles away to most Boston attractions. The food is INCREDIBLE ranging from hot entree options you can see pre-prepared in front of you, to velvet-like house made hummus and falafel or beef/lamb shawarma as their name suggests (chicken is also an option. They have vegetarian options as well as freshly made juices and desserts. AND it's fairly priced with friendly cafeteria like service. Affordable, accessible and delicious. Not many places in Boston could offer all three at the level of quality 'the king' does.

Karamjit K.

Yelp
Very bland and lacks flavor. I ordered chicken shawarma and it tasted more like grilled chicken breast.

John S.

Yelp
With all the retro modernized - wanna be Lebanese places popping up in the city of Boston, this place still has the best falafel sandwich ever, hands down! Get the Jallab drink as well, amazing!

Linda S.

Yelp
I used to love this place. Food was amazing. About three or four months ago, the quality changed a lot. Mostly around the shawarma.... I couldn't even eat it. The chicken was especially bad. The texture was strange, like it was mushy... i really want it to go back to the way it was because i loved it!

Adam S.

Yelp
OK counter service Lebanese food. Very good desserts. This small counter service shop serves somewhat Americanized Lebanese food (thin pita, iceberg lettuce, falafel kept under a heat lamp). Some of the other less commonly known dishes are a better bet (Kibby, Haloumi cheese with zataar. The lentil soup is very good. The desserts are generally excellent. For falafel, I think Rami's down the street is a better bet. Unfortunate that the food is served in Styrofoam and paper plates. Service can be slow at times.

Chandler B.

Yelp
Overall I felt for the money it was a good amount of food. I enjoyed the meal. Most customers seemed to come in to pick up to-go meals. The atmosphere inside is more like a diner with hard acoustics. Still a worthy meal.

Katie B.

Yelp
Outstanding Customer Service! Order at counter and either eat in or take-out. Everything is delicious and very reasonable prices.

Marissa B.

Yelp
This place is definitely a hidden gem. It's a tiny little place, but there's a few seats inside (they have 2 outside seats during the summer). Their chicken shawarma is great. You get veggies and rice with the chicken shawarma dinner. And some yogurt and taziki sauce. It's moderately priced, but very good. Definitely recommend.

Emily B.

Yelp
First meal in Boston, I was not impressed by the food but the staff was super nice and saved this from getting two stars. To be blunt, my beef roll-up was well toasted and looked good. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the sauce and the beef was cooked so so. Ranted I've never had Lebanese food before...I want to give it the benefit of the doubt and I would recommend the fries and my friend did enjoy her Falafel roll up so maybe I need to try something else...but I don't know the chances of that... Overall, only giving 3 stars for the kind owner (or maybe worker) who doubled checked how we were and was always smiling/made the atmosphere nice.

fefifofum h.

Yelp
I really love the food here. I judge a place based on its chicken shawarma and their chicken shawarma does not disappoint. I get the chicken shawarma roll up with extra garlic and it's always perfectly seasoned and the meat isn't dry. Their vegetarian combo plate is also excellent, too. The portions are generous. Really recommend this gem of a place in Coolidge corner!

Mudphud P.

Yelp
They really are the best middle eastern I have tried in the Boston region. Great flavorful chicken shwarma platter and combo veggie platter. Love their hummus, falafel, grape leaves and salads too. Very fast service and large portion sizes.

Rory N.

Yelp
I've been there twice, food was only ok the 1st time and pretty good the 2nd. Both times very unfriendly! No greeting, no words at all, just looked at me like I was taking up their time. Didn't ask if that was all and I had to ask for a drink. Took my card and left some sort to slip on the counter that had my order number on it. Didn't tell me anything. I asked "is this my order number?". Sounds picky but I'm from the restaurant industry and I did not feel welcomed.

Dee D.

Yelp
Very slow service. They were too busy talking to pay attention to getting the orders out. The biggest crime is the $4.99 I paid for 2 kibbeh balls that were so small and had zero flavor. Very disappointing.

Emily M.

Yelp
This food is amazing! The vegetarian eggplant dish was full of flavor. The staff is also very nice and accommodating.

April Y.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came for lunch around 1 pm. Full tables outside but plenty of room inside. It's kind of cramped inside but not uncomfortable. Everyone was really friendly: we even got a free baklava finger each after our meal. I had the grape leaves dinner plate and he had the beef shawarma dinner plate. Both were incredible. Tender, well-spiced meat. Flavorful dolmas. Great salads, fantastic pickles and rice. Seriously: not one thing was bland or out of place in this meal. The baklava was great too! Already making plans to come back, though it's been three hours and I'm still not sure we'll ever be able to eat again.

Sami O.

Yelp
WOW, there's a Middle Eastern restaurant by Longwood. Oh wait, there's another one... ahh which one should I pick first? So after stuffing ourselves with Mexican food, we decided it wouldn't hurt to stop and check it out... Trust me, when we say girls have a separate stomach for desserts, we mean it. And boys do to, when we force them to finish what we can't. On the first visit, we got a basbousa, or what they call namoura in Lebanon, and a baklava finger. So frikking sweet that I could feel ants crawling up my legs and into my bladder. But that Middle Eastern dessert for you. Even we were bearing food babies, we planned out trip back to SK the next day. Awed by their glorious rotisseries, we salivated over a plate of Beef-Lamb Shawarma, a small plate of Hummus (+4 half pita sheets), and a rose water lemonade. Let start with my favorite: Rose Water Lemonade - Imma dub it "Rosmonade" cuz it's nothing like what I had tasted before! No, it didn't really taste like lemonade + rose water, the flavor profile belongs to another echelon. Saying it was delish would be an understatement. Gotta try it. Hummus - The flavours are really well-balanced. The lemon juice didn't overpowering the dish; the olive oil wasn't too pungent and didn't overpower the natural taste from the chickpea and tahini. Most importantly, it was smmmmooooth. A small plate of hummus was only $4.99 and came with 4 half sheets of pita! Beef-Lamb Shawarma Plate: I seriously thought the meat were slices of poorly grilled beef liver, both texture and taste wise. It was dry, tough, and metallic tasting. I absolutely echo what other Yelpers said, thank god for the tahini sauce. The roz bil shaareyya, or rice with vermicelli, totally reminded me of my Dad's, but SK's was way moister, where we could still see the liquid on the bottom of the plate. The veggies were delish tho, except the pickled beets. While we were chowing down za food, we realized that almost all customers ordered the Chicken Shawarma! Hummm I guess that's what we will do next time. But if you are in the area, try their Rosmonade! Trust the King on this one ;)

Kelly O.

Yelp
What solidifies this place for me as a staple is the fact that they grill your roll-up. Just that simple little step adds so much to your sandwich... if you've got the whole salty-bitter-soft-crunchy-garlicky-deliciousness thing going on, the grilling not only helps you keep it all inside but gives you that nice outer crust to contrast with the inner soft goodness. Mmm... Also, never thought I would like pickles in my sandwich, but here somehow it totally works. Chicken shawarma roll-up is my standard order, and I also realllly enjoy the pumpkin kibbe. Can't comment on the rest of the menu, but those two are solid choices.

Ambrose C.

Yelp
Do you sometimes have cravings for some decent Middle Eastern cuisine in Brookline? Sometimes, for some strange reason, I have cravings for some simple, tasty and filling Middle Eastern style cuisine and I have been coming here fairly often, since it is one of my primary places for somewhat inexpensive food whenever I am in Brookline. Their specialty is Shawarma, which are these grilled meats placed on a rotisserie. I have come here multiple times to get their Beef Lamb Shawarma sandwich, and it is really simple and humble but tasty dish. The pita bread has a nice toasty crispiness. The texture of the meat is not bad, but the vegetables combined with the tenderness of the meat made it a tasty sandwich. It's definitely good for a light lunch, if you are not so hungry and it should be under $8. I probably would not recommend the Chicken Shawarma here because the chicken was a little dry. I also had the falafel here, and I don't think it's the best falafel I had, but it's decently good and a great complement to any shawarma sandwich they serve here. It has a good crispiness and the tahini sauce is also decently good. Adding some falafel to a Shawarma sandwich is a good way to make your stomach fuller. The dinners they serve here have excellent portions and they come with rice, salad and pita bread. Although you may need to spend $15, their meals are big enough to fill the stomach of a hungry man. I had their beef shish kabobs and the flavor and tenderness were pretty good. This place is not a good place for late night food in Brookline. They are usually open until 9 PM. Overall, if you are looking for some decently good Middle Eastern cuisine at a reasonable price, this place is a pretty good choice. If I have more cravings for some Middle Eastern food in Brookline, I would probably come back to this place often. Also, these guys seem to be really committed in making sure they serve some of the best "halal" food in Brookline.

Hiroko S.

Yelp
There is a meaning why this is three stars because I cannot judge. So stars are going to change based on my other experiences. I am actually not ready to write a review of this place because I almost don't have any experience of middle east food. Therefore my order was like this. Shawarma(S): "Next!" Hiroko(H): "Hi..........................................ahaaa uuuu ahahahaha" S: "........." H:".......................................................I don't know what should I order....." S:"Oh is this your first time? Can you eat chicken? Chicken Shawarma is good." H:"OK I will try it." Chicken Shawarma was good and I am familiar with that taste because I had in Tokyo but the name was different. According to the pictures on menu, it seems like the other menu is more like chalenging especially for me that I am glad that he recommend me to order chicken shawrma. I am always excited about trying new restaurant. I will try the other menu.

Joey J.

Yelp
Being Lebanese, I have a soft spot for my mom's cooking. I think it is the best, and nothing compares to it. Still, I like to give places like this a try. Shawarma King is OK. That's about it. The food isn't outstanding, but it is flavorful and filling. Sometimes it is a bit messy, but still it tastes good. I still haven't found another shawarma joint in the area, but I'm looking. There hummous is OK, kind of "liquidy" and their lamb stew was alright. The portions aren't that big and it is cash only which is kind of annoying. The tabouli was alright. If you can ever make it out to Norwood, MA, try and get to Cedar's Market. It is a Lebanese supermarket that makes shawarmas, and they are the BEST.

Raghav R.

Yelp
Another Coolidge Corner Classic, Great Mediterranean Food, Plenty of Vegetarian Options, and for some reason I get a food cart vibe here (maybe it's the way they have the menu displayed on the wall)

Cici N.

Yelp
You know it's a real deal when they play middle eastern music in the background. Food: This is my go-to spot for a falafel wrap which is only $4.99. I usually ask for hommus and mild spicy and it comes to around 6 bucks. The lentil soup is too sour for my taste. The beef/lamb shawarma wrap is a bit bland. But the falafel wrap is right on the money. Falafel is warm on the inside, crunchy on the outside. The hommus adds the moist. All in all a every tasty authentic falafel wrap. They also offer two home-made fountain drinks made of rose water. I strongly recommended the dark one. It has a fresh flowery and raspberry flavor that of a strong dessert wine. Service: Minimum of $12 for cash. They have an in-store atm that charge a small fee ($3?) The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They even let me try one of the specials.

Yelp
Went with a friend after not coming since I was a kid. The kabobs were sad. Small and pricey but at least decently flavored. Staff was and the only reason for a two star. Food was massively disappointing. 15$ for a juice, pickled turnips, one chicken, and one beef kabob. Not the Shawarma King I remember.

Yelp
Great food, lots of food, great price! Had the beef and lamb shawarma plate, half of that was more than enough for me.
