I’ve had Shawarma all over the world, and I do believe this is the best I’ve had. I would travel to New Orleans again just to eat here, in fact. I had chicken shawarma, pita, falafel, rice, hummus, and garlic sauce. To me, it is the quality, flavor, and freshness of all these things that make the perfect Mediterranean combination. They nailed each component! Additionally, the restaurant is well lit and clean, and the service is over-the-top! Highly recommend! I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Highly suggest this place. The food is great. We went at lunch time, but had no wait. The staff are polite and efficient. The mixed menu gives many choices. The Gyro platter was so good, as was the Philly steak sandwich, the hubby chose that. The prices are reasonable, too. I now understand clean eating, all the ingredients are fresh. You'll feel satisfied not stuffed.

We had: Gyro wrap, steak bowl, and falafel 🥙 sooo delicious! The food on the pics is half eaten since we couldn't wait to try it and it's a miracle we stopped to take pictures! The flavors and the freshness of ingredients were outstanding! You could taste various flavors of rice, meat, sauces and everything was perfectly balanced. All complemented by a very nice and polite young man at the front desk! The place looks very clean and the only regret is that we live far enough not to be able to visit more frequently! We got an extra wrap for tomorrow and we will be back for sure!!!

This is my favorite lunch when coming from or going to the MSY airport. It's quick, tasty, and much better than anything at the airport for a reasonable price.

Grabbed some dinner to go and was impressed with how clean and comfortable the restaurant was. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with fries. It was very good but I wish taziki sauce came with it. The wrap was a tad bland due to minimal sauce but the ingredients were fresh and delicious.

My first visit here - just had the lentil soup and bahklava. Both were EXCELLENT. The lentil soup has a very nice flavor - fairly strong curry/cumin flavor, that compliments the flavor of the lentils very nicely. Fantastic. The bakhlava is wonderful. Sweet but not too sweet. Layered, with just the right amount of pistachios and honey. At $1.99 for a nice-sized triangular piece, this is excellent. Will come back soon and add to my review.

We love this place!! The food is so flavorful. We order the combo plate with chicken and steak and love that. I've also had the salad with steak added and the steak wrap. LOVE THEM ALL. The management is great as we had a customer service issue but after that one issue the service was amazing after!

I'd give this restaurant a solid 3 stars. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor. As my 8 year old would say, it was bussin'! However, I do have to mention the bathroom situation. My son went to use the restroom, and the doorknob was broken which is a little unsettling, especially for a kid. When I went to the ladies room, it was unfortunately pretty dirty, which definitely took away from the overall experience. I don't want to take away from the food and kitchen staff, but if we're factoring in the whole experience including cleanliness, that restroom situation needs attention. Also, between both of our meals, I spent $50.46. That feels a little pricey for a quick lunch.

The chicken shawarma platter with extra pita for the win! I made a phone order and the food was ready within 10 min when I got there. The staff member who assisted me was very friendly. The food is always great. It's one of my favorite chicken shawarma's around. The hummus is also really creamy and flavorful. The restaurant was a little busy due to the lunch hour, but I was still in and out.

First a major shout out to all the Yelpers who left reviews because you all were the reason I chose this place. After seeing so many good reviews I had to order. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate and it was so delicious!!! The chicken was moist, the hummus had a great flavor (and I don't usually eat hummus but I tore it up), the salad was fresh and the rice was well seasoned and cooked just right. I am so glad that I found this restaurant and can't wait to eat here again!

I finally tried this gem of a place when I couldn't make it to Greek fest. I actually never sat inside to eat, but they do offer to go. I ended up going with a gyro and then of course I had to get a piece of baklava. It was very good. To be honest with you the gyro was so big in my opinion that with a side of fries this could perfectly be split between two people. I can't wait to go back and try some more options on the menu.

Their chicken shawarma is delicious and fresh! Their hummus and pit bread is always on the point. Their service is courteous and respectful. The owner is friendly and always offers suggestions when asked. There is enough seating for all kinds of party sizes. They also have outside seating too.

Stopped in while running errands and decided to get some Mediterranean food. Checked the reviews on yelp and decided hey why not. They did not disappoint! Everything was very flavorful and delicious. I didn't care for the excessive amount of red onions, but those were easily tossed aside. The hummus was the grand prize winner on the plate. (Only because the gyro was a bit overdone). The hummus was so creamy and smooth. Flavor was delicious! Pita bread was great. Even the salad was tasty! I'd definitely come again.

I got the chicken Shawarma combo for my wife and I to split and a side of hummus. The Hummus was kinda runny and the chicken wrap tasted like tuna. I'm not sure how that is even possible. I cannot recommend this dish.

Food is always good and ready quickly. My usual is one of the wraps - either chicken, steak or shrimp. Also get the Greek salad. Always fresh & plenty to the serving.

My goto Shawarma and gyro spot in this area. Shawarma on the Run is easy to get to and there is never too much a wait to put in a to go order. I also love their Gyro platter and Wraps.

Shawarma on the Run is a nice family business. Honestly, I tried them bc I was craving meat lol. Nice perk but unnecessary bc of the reasonable prices, but they have a GetUpside coupon. Since Shwarma on the Run was literally what I had time for --it's in my area for errands--I decided to check them out. Our favorite ice cream spot is in the same lot, so easy peasy lemon squeezer. The service was professional, efficient and kind. Restaurant is very clean. The gyro plate was delicious and comes with homemade hummus, rice, pickles just everything yummy. My not five stars is only bc the lemon mint didn't taste like fresh lemon the way my time in Cairo got me spoiled and accustomed to. But no worries, I will definitely go back. And like most family businesses, they appreciate and adjust for kind words and consistent customers. Check them out.

Mom and I picked up shawarma because we were "on the run" cleaning up from the mess left by hurricane Ida. Mom ordered the Chicken Shawarma Platter and I ordered the Gyro Platter. We were very impressed with both entrees. First, the platter is a ton of food: two pitas, hummus, side salad, rice, taziki or tahini sauce, and the protein. All this for $14.99! I thought the quality of the food was outstanding. The salad with vinaigrette dressing was a fresh blend of bright green lettuce and bold red tomatoes. The humus was smooth and creamy. It was topped with olive oil and a black kalamata olive. The meat is served with a generous scoop of yellow rice. The rice was seasoned and cooked just right. The gyro meat had fantastic flavor. The stack of thinly sliced gyro was topped with cooked red onions that complemented the delicious meat. For the record, gyro meat is a ground combination of lamb (sheep) and beef. The meat is mixed with Mediterranean seasoning and spices. Somehow the meat sticks together like a finely ground meatloaf. It is then roasted on a vertical skewer that rotates in front of the cooking element. The meat is then sliced off the skewer like a solid piece of meat. Mom's Chicken Shawarma Platter was also impressive. Some of the chicken had a lovely char to it. She did report that the chicken was a "little dry" and said she would order the gyro next time.

The atmosphere is always nice and clean. The staff is always courteous. The food is amazing.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time and let me tell you, we were not disappointed at all. She had the chicken shawarma plate and I had the steak shawarma plate, the hummus is the best I have ever had and the food was delicious!!!! I will definitely tell all my coworkers and friends that they need to try this place out. Thank you for a fantastic meal!!!

One of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants in the greater NO area. Delicious fresh food and very generous portions! Excellent price as well. My favorite is the grilled shrimp.

The food is amazing!!! The hummus is some of my favorite, especially the green sauce on top. I crave their teas. The staff is always kind and friendly and the location is easily accessible.

So happy this spot opened in Kenner. It's great to have another 100% halal option in town! I started going here after some friends told me about their location on the Westbank. I always had great experiences there, and I'm glad to see that translated well for their second location. There's quite a bit of tables, and the interior design of the restaurant is great. As for things I would recommend, I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak in either a wrap or sandwich. I would go with a wrap if you want less messy and less bread as it's in a tortilla. I would recommend the sandwich if you want more of the traditional philly cheese steak experience. The other item I would highly recommend is the gyro wrap, it tastes phenomenal and the gyro has a lot of flavor. As for appetizer, the falafel are made fresh and are delicious! The hummus is also fresh and a great item to start with. The Lebanese tea is worth trying as well. The fries are decent and are included if you get a meal. Overall, I've been here twice and have had an amazing experience both times. The gyro wrap and the Philly cheese steak wrap will be my go to items along with the falafel. Give this place a try, the owners are very nice people and you can tell they care a lot about the quality of the food they offer.

Atmosphere - with mask mandates in effect, staff had either masks below chin or not at all. The restaurant itself looked very clean. Food - we ordered gyro and steak shawarma platter. The food was really a disappointment. The steak had a ton of fatty pieces and lacked flavor. The gryo had a nice grilled taste to it but again lacked flavor. The salad that accompanied the meal was not Greek but more traditional. The rice was very good though - best thing in the platter. The hummus was very smooth and had some chili sauce on that was good. Overall the meat was just not very flavorful but the rice was def good!

Absolutely love this place!! I get the gyro wrap meal with the salad and hummus. It's so delicious and flavorful and it's a decent amount of food. I always have leftovers. The meal comes with a drink and I get Lebanese tea. Thank me later. The people who work there are super friendly and gave me great recommendations.

The food was good and we got it quickly! It was kind of hard to eat out of to go boxes. Chicken tenders for the little were really good! The chicken shawarma platter was tasty and so was the Philly cheesesteak.

This is my jam! Me and my daughter always eat here when we're in the area. Great food and great service! It's an hour away from home but definitely worth the drive!

I'm vegetarian, so I've tried the Veggie plate and wrap, and also the falafel wrap. All are delicious! I really like their hummus!! My husband is a carnivore, and he's tried the steak Shawarma which he also enjoyed. Co-workers have said their favorite dish was the Chicken Shawarma and the Tabouli. Overall, NO complaints and the people are friendly

Just tried out Shawarma on the Run for the first time. This is a good restaurant with reasonable prices and large amounts of food. My wife and I tried the chicken shawarma platter, the Babaganoush, and the stuffed grape leaves. The platter included a small side Greek salad, hummus, rice, and chicken shawarma, as well as a garlic sauce for the chicken. There was a lot of food that we shared. The grape leaves were good. They came with a tzatziki sauce that was nice as well as the same side salad as the shawarma. There were six per order. The Babaganoush was nice and came with a couple pieces of pita. I could have gone for more pita but it was fine. We ate for $27 and had some Babaganoush and shawarma leftover for the next day. The menu has a huge selection of food. We will definitely be back.

Easily the best falafel wrap I've had in idk now long. A couple was sitting eating some gyro plates and I was tempted to get one even though I don't eat much meat. It looked so good!

Stopped by this place on our way to Voodoo fest. Their food is incredible. I got the gyros plate and was very impressed! The hummus was perfect and I loved their uniquely seasoned rice! So tasty! They also have pine nuts for their Lebanese tea! I love that because most places don't served them anymore. Wish I lived closer, because this would be my new favorite place!

Oh man!!! I spent time in multiple Middle Eastern countries working for Google - Global division. I couldn't believe there is a authentic Middle Eastern in our small conclave of Kenner. I have been 10-14 times and have tried multiple items. The dips to the shawarma are all great. Very friendly staff and are kind to explain items you may know nothing/little about.

Delicious! My husband and I had passed Shawarma several times before deciding to come for dinner. The only negative we can note- the prices are high! However the food was very good. We shared the falafel appetizer- it was flavorful, crisp and hot. For our meal, I got the philly sandwich and he got the gyro plate. The philly was excellent, I have been dying to go back for another one! Again, it was hot and fresh, and very flavorful. The gyro was also very good, as was the hummus. Overall I would recommend checking it out!

I have tried just about everything on the menu and I can honestly say I've never been disappointed. The chicken shawarma platter is my go-to though. The hummus is hands down the best in this area. So fresh, creamy and smooth, I find myself just using a spoon and eating it straight from the container. The pitas that come with it are just store bought, I wish they would try and make their own, but I know it's a difficult process. Large portions every time I order. They offer delivery by every food delivery company in the area. I live close by, but always have it delivered just for convenience. The location is easy to get to now that the parish has put in the cross through on W. Esplanade. Plenty of parking in the new plaza too. Limited seating is available for those wishing to eat there. For this area, Shawarma on the Run is by far the best. Pricing is comparable to other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food establishments.

I am a big fan of Shawarma on the Run on the Westbank. I was ecstatic to learn there was going to be an Eastbank location. This location is everything the Westbank one is but even better! The interior is spacious and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. The workers are all friendly and most importantly, the food is oh so delicious. My go to order is the chicken shawarma wrap with hummus and salad. Don't forget the garlic sauce!

This plaza is a hidden gem in Kenner! I wanted to sit and eat somewhere and I'm glad I stopped by. Found this place by accident and I can't believe I didn't see it sooner! Inside it's bright and inviting where you'll see friendly staff greet you. The ambience of middle eastern music graced the brightly lit dining area. I ordered a steak shawarma bowl and a pecan turtle cheesecake. Neither item disappointed! My food was served in a disposable but eco conscious "compost capable" bowl. The food was so delicious - it was seasoned just right! The explosion of flavors were a welcome invitation with notes of curry evident in the dish. The entire establishment was clean and I was able to observe staff members wiping down eating surfaces frequently. The portion size was amazing. I'm very full but I can see where some people can eat off that bow twice. The cheesecake was a delicious end to the savory meal. My meal didn't take long to arrive at the table and the staff delivered my food with a smile. I won't hesitate to return - it was well worth the visit!

I am new to the area and found this little gem of a place near my work. Having a favorite Lebanese restaurant back home in St Pete/Seminole, FL area, I'm a bit partial but BUT this place is amazing! I ordered the tabouli salad and a falafel appetizer to go. My food was ready and the falafel was hot and very delicious. The tabouli salad was very delicious as well with a perfect blend of all the ingredients. I couldn't stop eating it. I can't wait to try the shawarma. Mask up and grab some to-go!

As soon as we walked I. We were greeted with a gracious host. Menu has a wide variety of options. Considering some of our party are vegetarian, we were able to find plenty of choices for all of us. Food was made with fresh ingredients. It was refreshing and filling. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hearty and healthy meal.

The food and service are consistently good. They increased their prices over the year and now are charging a 3.5% fee for using a credit card. Not a big fan of this practice. I most likely will find another Mediterranean place to frequent from now on.
