San Francisco Offers More COVID Support Going Into 2023 | Eater SF

"A second Shawarmaji location opened on November 28 at 2281 The Alameda in Santa Clara; its menu largely mirrors the original location with lamb expected to join the familiar lineup soon, and chef-owner Mohammad Abutaha started the first restaurant because he felt no one in the Bay did shawarma quite right." - Paolo Bicchieri

🌯 The Gold Standard for Authentic Shawarma If you are looking for the best shawarma in the area, look no further than Shawarmaji. This place serves what I can honestly say is the best shawarma I have had to date. The meat is perfectly seasoned and slow-roasted to a juicy perfection, and the wraps themselves are incredibly hearty and filling. Whether you go for the chicken or the lamb, you are getting a massive portion that satisfies even the biggest appetite. It was so delicious that I found myself ordering a second one to eat before I even left the building—it is genuinely that addictive. 🍯 Fantastic Signature Sauces (That You Can Buy!) The real secret to their success has to be the sauces. They are absolutely fantastic and elevate the entire meal. Their garlic toum is legendary—thick, creamy, and packed with that bold garlic punch that every shawarma lover craves. They also have a spicy shatta that adds the perfect level of heat without being overwhelming. A major highlight for me was discovering that they actually sell their sauces in-store. Being able to take a jar of that toum home is a game-changer for my own home cooking! ⚡ Exceptional Service and Friendly Staff Beyond the food, the experience was made even better by the people working there. The staff were really friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Even though they were busy, they were quick to cook the food and took the time to offer great suggestions on which wraps and pairings to try. It’s rare to find a spot that balances high-speed service with such a hospitable and helpful attitude. You can tell they really care about the quality of the food and the satisfaction of their customers. Filling Portions: You definitely get your money's worth here; one wrap is a full meal in itself. Speedy Cooking: Despite the high quality, they manage to get orders out very quickly. Pro Tip: Ask for extra pickles—they add a perfect crunch and acidity to the rich meat and sauces. Authentic Vibes: The flavors stay true to traditional Jordanian-style street food, which is hard to find done this well. 👍 Overall Recommendation Shawarmaji is a definitive 5-star destination for any food lover. The combination of superior flavor, friendly service, and the ability to buy their amazing sauces makes it a standout. It is the kind of place that you’ll want to visit again and again. If you haven't been yet, make it a priority—you might just end up ordering a second round like I did!

I recently visited Shawarmaji in Santa Clara, and the food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the beef shawarma fries, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and a falafel wrap—all with fries added, of course. Everything was packed with flavor. The beef shawarma fries were a standout—crispy, savory, and loaded with delicious toppings. Both shawarma wraps were juicy and well-seasoned, and the falafel wrap was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and super satisfying. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and everything tasted fresh. If you’re into shawarma or just love good street food, this spot is a must-try. All meats are halal here.

Google
First time here today and loved it. We tried the chicken wrap, lamb/beef shwarma fries, and side of pickles. Everything was excellent - great quality ingredients, super flavorful, friendly service. Portions are huge, and each of our items could've been shared between two people easily. Currently heating up our leftovers for dinner so definitely not mad at it. Super glad to have found this place and looking forward to coming back.

Google
Decent shawarma. Pita bread, addition of fries make it pretty accurate. It still tastes dry, but getting a side of toum is the only way to go. The toum is good though! The falafel were sooo tiny, paying per piece was a sham. They arent the greatest, if i were you, i would just stick to the shawarma. Side note : why is there no option to order a soft drink? Please keep Pepsi/Coca cola!!! Also, paying extra for fries? Shawarma is supposed to have fries, so that seemed unnecessary.

Google
I got this delivered through Foodie Earth for dinner and it hit the spot! I got the chicken wrap arabi style with fries (those were forgotten with my order), lamb beef wrap, and 3 falafels. From what l've seen on the reviews, the chicken wrap is everyone's favorite, but for me the lamb wrap was my favorite!! Loved the meat and there was a good amount of it. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and Foodie Earth made it so easy so I didn't have to leave my apartment and deal with the parking, l've driven past this place and parking seems to be limited.

Google
The first thing you notice when you enter Shawarmaji is how clean and well-maintained the shop is, and the staff is always incredibly welcoming and efficient, which makes for a great experience every time. The food is consistently top-tier. Whether you get the chicken or the lamb, the meat is always fresh and perfectly seasoned. I love the variety of ways they serve it—the pitas are soft, the wraps are great, and the Arabi style is a personal favorite. Their fry portions are super big, so you definitely get your money's worth. A huge standout for me is the falafel. Not only is it more delicious than other spots—perfectly crispy and never dry—but it’s also extremely affordable and cheaper than most other locations I've been to. To top it all off, their sauce game is unmatched. The Chipotle Toum is my absolute favorite and their fresh, crunchy pickles are the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend if you want high-quality Middle Eastern food that’s also a great value!

Google
I ordered the beef & lamb shawarma plate with French fries, but it arrived dry and cold. The serving style with chopped vegetables placed on top felt out of place and did not fit the overall concept. Even the side salad was disappointing: just a few leaves with cherry tomatoes some chopped pickled vegetables, but no character... The atmosphere was also unwelcoming. The design felt cold, the temperature inside was uncomfortably freezing, and the constant drafts made the food turn cold within minutes. Service was not particularly friendly either. On top of that, everything was served in plastic packaging and with a cheap plastic fork, which made it difficult to eat and felt very wasteful and not environmentally friendly. I had really hoped to enjoy authentic Palestinian food here, but sadly, it did not meet my expectations. Pity.

Google
One of my items was accidentally left out of the original order, but as soon as I contacted the restaurant, they immediately remade it and went above and beyond to make it right. They were so sweet to give me a free dessert, pickles, and a drink. The rice pudding was creamy, lightly sweet, and so comforting. The pickles were honestly some of the best I’ve had: just the right amount of vinegar, crisp, and the perfect balance to the richness of the meat. I chose a lychee soda as my drink and it was refreshing and delightful. Everything arrived hot and incredibly flavorful. My absolute favorite was the lamb wrap — the meat was tender and full of flavor, the wrap was perfectly crispy, and with the toum, it all came together beautifully. Truly exceptional food and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Yelp
Flavor (5/5): If you haven't had Jordanian food before be prepared for a flavor roller coaster! Just sauces alone there are so many combos for unique bites here. They don't skimp on their food here, everything felt so hearty and filling! The rocket along was almost 2 feet long! Instagram Worthy (4/5): Cute restaurant decorated with notes from the culture that started this restaurant in the first place. Lots of seating and very open! Service (5/5): Friendly staff, quick for food to come out! Takeaways: Always open to trying new cuisines and this one was a hit! Different notes from what my normal meals taste like but yummy!

Yelp
I've been looking for a good shawarma spot & Shawarmaji has definitely become my go to in South Bay. Their wraps are so good & their service is always super quick. The outside of the store is a little unassuming but they have a decent amount of street parking nearby & a good amount of seating indoors. We've tried their lamb, chicken, and falafel wraps which we all enjoyed but my favorite was the lamb. Their shawarma fries are also great & I love their also have pickled veggies / toum. They have a variety of drinks - my favs are the Jordanian coffee & Lemon Mint drink.

Yelp
Ok, so their furniture isn't the best (there was a rickety table outside) and ambience is a little drab, but the sauces?? the SAUCES [would come back just to grab some without ordering anything - jk but no really, they're that good (specifically the toum, tahini, or chipotle toum)] Line went fast Was able to find parking outside, but I can see how it would fill up The size of the wraps is perfect, in my opinion, not to big, not too small - the mini ones are nice to try other things too! I will be back - and for more than the sauces
google avatar

Yelp
Falafel wrap, panini option: I thought it was pretty good, minus that I didn't like the lemon inside since I thought the lemon was overpowering and unpleasant. The pickles and tomatoes made it more sour. Falafel wrap, with pomegranate molasses added, and removing lemon: I liked it much better when I came back a second time and made these modifications, as it resulted in more of a sweet and sour flavor profile. The molasses are definitely quite sweet. 8 falafels by the piece: They're crispy on outside and softer inside. If you eat the sauce first, though, in my opinion, it really drowns out the falafel flavor. I opted for extra garlic sauce (toum), that and the tahini were really good. They gave me 2 extra falafels which was kind of them. Rose tamarind drink: It's very sour, can't really make out the rose in my opinion. The cup was smaller than I expected, but compostable. They had two outdoor tables but one is very close to the door, and no bathroom offered at the time that I went. Parking was for up to 1 hour up through 6pm, but 2 hrs is allowed after 6pm. My order didn't come with utensils by default so I went in go get some. Overall I would say the food is quite good and their spices are excellent. I am grateful that they always have vegetarian options.

Yelp
I love the size of the wrap; it makes it very easy to eat and very portable. The sauces provided also add to the experience. I enjoyed my beef / lamb wrap. The only thing I don't like is the parking situation in this area. Super stressful and you get boxed in by the delivery drivers. Unfortunately, this isn't something that the location can easily fix.

Yelp
I ordered the house salad with chicken with a side of Toum for dinner one day. I ordered it on DoorDash so I can't speak much to the service and ambience but the flavor was decent. I didn't love the flavor of the dressing it came with so I ended up eating it with Toum which was really good. I would probably order again and probably try something different next time.

Yelp
Can't believe I haven't written a review for Shawarmaji yet! You truly cannot go wrong ordering anything off the menu here, because everything here is fantastic. From the shawarma and falafels to the fries and all the wonderful sides, everything is jam packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served up in portions that will leave you full. Favorites here are the Chicken wrap served arabi style - so you can enjoy the pickles, fries with toum, and the falafels. I've gotten both the toum and the tahini from their grab and go fridge to enjoy at home, sadly they don't sell the tahini like that anymore, it seriously was/is the best tahini I've ever had. Service is always very warm and friendly. This spot is pretty casual but they do a good job of bringing the Jordanian culture in with loads of pictures on the wall. They have a handful of tables and some high top bar/ledge seating. Parking in the area can be tough as most of the side streets are for residents only, but you can usually circle around or find something a little further down the block.

Yelp
Stopped by on a sunny Saturday for a shawarma side take out order. Parking is miserable. I almost gave up...not sure how to give advice or guidance here other than just be patient. The shawarma was a 4/5. I tried both the chicken and the lamb. Flavors and spices were on point, but the chicken had a bunch of little tiny pieces or crispy pieces and I would have preferred a cleaner, even (juicier) shave. Toum is 5/5. I also asked for tahini but was disappointed that it was literally plain tahini flavor (some lemon and garlic would be a nice touch. I found the inside to be good for a quick bite but not for conversation- it was loud. High ceilings and concrete floors may have been messing with the acoustics. I would recommend this place (with above mentioned caveats) for quick bites and would stop by again if I was in the area and an easy parking spot was available.

Excellent chicken shawarma wrap. It's a decent amount of food & fresh. Parking is tough.

Yelp
Wow! What a great value. Good food. Had the Lamb Beef Wrap mini for $10. It was a good size and was really good. Meat slices were not dry at all. Meaty peppery taste. White sauce was a good addition but not needed to enjoy the wrap. The restaurant was very simple, almost bare but the food was the opposite, full flavor. Staff was really nice. Took 25 min to prepare the food. Line of people patiently waiting.

Yelp
If you're looking for a shawarma wrap that's bigger than your face, then you have to check out Shawarmaji! Starting out in Oakland, Shawarmaji is a small, family-owned, Jordanian restaurant that recently expanded to Santa Clara and focuses on offering authentic Jordan-style shawarma in the Bay Area. They're most known for their 12 inch chicken wrap that includes thinly-sliced chicken, which is initially cooked on a revolving spit, their housemade toum sauce (aka Lebanese garlic sauce), and cucumber pickles in a thin arabic wrap. The menu at Shawarmaji is relatively simple and offers chicken or lamb/beef served in a wrap or pita form, fries, and a few additional small sides. This is a great place to visit if you're looking to try authentic Jordanian shawarma! ORDER: Chicken Wrap ($14) - Chicken was really tender and I loved the garlic sauce that it came with. Although I do wish there were more vegetables included in the wrap, it was overall really good.

Yelp
Friendly staff, scrumptious food. Shawarmaji is a 'hole in the wall' type of place with decor that celebrates Palestinian culture. We tried chicken arabi style and falafels and would definitely come back for both! The falafels are super cheap too! Parking is a challenge, and it was on the warm side while we waited, those were the only drawbacks. Highly recommend giving this spot a try.

Yelp
We wanted a quick and easy meal and were looking for something new to try. From a flip of a coin, we ended up here and we were satisfied with our meal. Service is quick. Food was delicious. The mini lamb wrap and mini chicken wrap were both tasty. The fries were also good. Perfect for sharing and completing a meal. There are seats inside and outside but it is a fairly small restaurant. Only problem we had was finding a parking spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Found this hidden gem in the Yelp Top 100 in 2024 list. Had an amazing experience catering for house party. Arabi style bite sized wraps of Chicken Shawarma and Falafel were loved by all. Mint Lime drink was super refreshing and served as a great party drink. Based on the recommendations, it paired well with Tequila. The ambiance at Santa Clara location reminds one of the rich history of Mediterranean countries.

Yelp
Are you kidding me! Don't sleep on this place. I am a Falafel snob. I normally make it at home because I do not like it anywhere. UNTIL NOW. The sauces are outstanding!! They sell them in jars and I will be getting a few. Falafel wrap was huge! The fries were great. I already want to go back for more.
google avatar

Neil M.

Yelp
I had a lamb/beef wrap and it was so good I couldn't take a photo. Bliss. I had skipped lunch, didn't notice how quickly I devoured the entire wrap. Tender, juicy, flavorful - could've had five more.

Yelp
Food is pretty decent! I got a chicken Shawarma wrap, and love that you can order a mini size. I really like the spicy sauce that they have. It definitely made the Shawarma wrap stand out. It was a little off-putting to see all the oil coming out of the chicken shawarma wrap, but also... I get it. Takes a little grease to make it so delicious. Also ordered a side of fries, which were excellent and sufficiently spiced. A colleague of mine got some pickled vegetables, which were a great addition. I kind of wish that they had lettuce or tomato in the chicken Shawarma wrap, but I also understand that from a style or authenticity standpoint, it may not make sense. I'm also used to the wraps from med wraps in Palo Alto, which tend to do that. There is seating inside, and it is well air-conditioned. Acoustics are not the greatest, but that's pretty common. They call out your number when it's ready, and honestly, it's a little hard to hear. They could invest in some kind of speaking device or microphone, so that customers can hear the order, or could Invest in some kind of visual reminder. There is also seating outdoors. Parking is pretty tricky, since it's located right by Santa Clara University. There is a lot of permit parking in the neighborhood, but you can end up snagging a parking spot in the lot nearby, or park on a main road like Park Street.

Hunter R.

Yelp
This place is 10X more authentic than ACHILLES. I went to Achilles expecting it to be the same or better than Shawarmaji, based on the reviews, but it was nothing like it. I would never return to ACHILLES ever. I've tried both the chicken and the lamb/beef wrap. I've also had the Arabi-style plate. Pickled vegetables were great too. Always warm, strong, but with great taste. Extremely unique to me. Does not get old. Service? - mediocre, there was nothing bad about their service, but it can't say anything absolutely fabulous about it. They do their jobs respectfully. That's what matters. Solid seating inside, incredible art, and photos of Mediterranean beauty. Overall 8/10. Will update review with photos later on.

Yelp
Great little fast food restaurant! The food and sauces were incredible! Service was amazing and they even offer free water with your meal.

Yelp
I have never really had shawarma before, and am by no means an expert, but I thought the food here was pretty good. I got the lamb wrap, and it was pretty flavorful. The sauce on the side was delicious, and needed for that extra flavor on the wrap. Without it, it was still pretty good, but definitely better with the sauce. Just a side note that the wrap was just the wrap and meat with a little bit of onion/tomato, so a bit on the simple side but it still packs a good amount of flavor in each bite. We also ordered the chicken shawarma fries, which were pretty good but definitely had more fries than chicken. Pretty good but the wrap was the way to go for me. The pickles advertised on the menu were a variety of different pickled veggies instead of the classic picked cucumber, which was a fun surprise and definitely fun to try. Staff was friendly, and got the food out quickly despite there being a good sized crowd. Keep in mind that parking can be a little annoying, and there is not a lot of indoor/outdoor seating when it gets busy. But the inside of the restaurant was uniquely decorated, and had what I believe to be traditional music playing in the background. Overall, I really liked coming here to try some new foods! Again, I have never really had shawarma before so I don't know where this ranks (hence the four stars), but I thought the food was delicious and I would love to try more food spots like this one!

Yelp
Super flavorful and large portions! Came here after a friend recommended this place. Preferred the chicken over lamb. The sauces were delicious but service was a bit slow as they make everything fresh. Will try the wraps next time!

Yelp
Lamb and side salad. Pretty Good lamb though i think i had better. Salad could have been better with more veggies and pickles. Why do they not have a salad with meat option?? One healthy option please.

Yelp
SO MUCH FLAVOR! Everything was delicious! Will definitely be returning regularly. Service was great and the inside of the small restaurant is clean. But the FOOD.....OMG. YUM!!!!

Yelp
I visited this place summer off 2023. I did not see big skew of Shawarma. We did not dare to eat here and we left. Last weekend, after Easter Sunday, we went there with friends who go here frequently. The chicken Shawarma was good. The lamb Shawarma was decent with extra sauce and flavors since we cannot have the same lamp or sheep, we have overseas . We saw other family we know they are sitting eating here too. And then we met a family who came from Canada and they told us the eighth at night before and they are coming back to eat here. They are originally from Jordan. So for our to come here frequently, it must be a good place. I'll give it 4.5 .
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to the Oakland location once. Don't remember what I ordered but enjoyed it. I was craving falafel so went with that over the lamb. Overall I enjoyed it, particularly the falafel. Crunchy exterior and herbaceous interior, chickpeas not mushy. I ordered the eggplant + fries inside the pita but there weren't any fries; not even one. Toum was good but thought I'd get a full container.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped at Shawarmaji in San Jose and was very disappointed. I ordered a shawarma with yogurt, and for $25 the portion was shockingly small--barely any meat and just a few greens. On top of that, there was no restroom available, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this size. The food was overpriced and not worth the money. I will not be returning.
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
Wow, blown away with the portions, the flavor, and the sides. Everything was delicious. The tahini salad was a bit saucy for me, but everything else was good. Loved the sauces and their pickles. It's nearby, so def will come back again.
google avatar

Munib K.

Yelp
This is my to-go lunch spot. It really hits the spot. The chicken wrap Aboudi style (with fries) is the best thing on their menu. It's a small restaurant with limited seating but it's always flowing traffic so you will find a spot to sit and enjoy the best shawarma in the bay. Don't forget to ask for extra side sauces as they are worth saving and taking home.
google avatar

Zubair L.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite, and it was pretty tasty. Ordered the lamb/pita wrap and it was gone in a few bites. Grateful with the meat and the flavors were bomb . Gave us two dates as a token of appreciation. Make sure to ask for the sauces, should be a white garlic one, an orange one and one spicy one. Those go very well with whatever you order. 100% will be back to try more items off the menu. Falafels were also very moist from the inside, some of the best I've had. 10/10. Only thing i would recommend is a few more onions in the pita wrap, but that's just a personal preference

Yelp
This place is usually absolutely amazing, but tonight they really dropped the ball. I ordered a lamb shawarma and fries through Uber Eats, then called the restaurant at 8:33 PM to ask for extra sauce. The guy on the phone said, "I gotchu." Well, my order just arrived--and there's zero sauce. Now everything's dry AF. The magic is in the sauce, and without it, the whole meal falls flat. I called back to see who I spoke with, and all they said was, "I'm sorry, you can come in and get sauce." Seriously? Why would I pay for Uber Eats if I could just come in myself? Customer service tonight was subpar, and now I'm stuck with bland shawarma and fries. Total letdown.

Yelp
This place has been on my bookmarked list for quite a while and finally we got to check them out last weekend. They are open until 11:30 pm and so it's perfect for the post movie healthyish dinner. We tried the chicken roll (regular ) and the falafel roll( they seemed to be out of the sandwich ). the roll was a better option as late night we can have relatively low carb food. The ambiance is simple and service is fast. The tables are interesting as they are made of wood that has been veneered. The food is moderately priced and would definitely go again.

Mariel Ashley S.

Yelp
Delicious! Was recommended this place so I thought I would give it a go. My tip is to get the tahini salad! Added it on everything and it was made everything so much better. Got the chicken wrap and shared it because I also wanted to try the fries. Both were so good and flavorful, I left extremely full but happy. Service is quick and they offer a variety of drinks near the cash register. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

Neslihan E.

Yelp
I usually don't write reviews, but this experience was truly unacceptable. This restaurant doesn't even have a sink for customers to wash their hands. When I politely asked, a rude employee snapped back, "No public restroom." I was then told to go next door to a hookah lounge if I wanted to wash my hands...unbelievable. To make matters worse, I found a large piece of stone in my food!!! If you're running a restaurant, serving food, and collecting payment before service, the very least you can do is provide a basic hygiene facility for your paying customers. The cashier, a fair-skinned, light-brown-haired young man, was extremely rude and clearly lacks any training in customer service. His attitude was not only disrespectful but also damaging to the business owner's reputation. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

Yelp
The customer service here is fantastic. I asked to sample the lamb/beef and chicken which was very useful. I ended up ordering the Chicken Wrap which was this extremely tight/long wrap stuffed with chicken and pickles. A few bites in, I did think the wrap was a little dry. Fret not, they had so many sauces which they are not cheap about handing out. I tried one of each which were all great. My favorites consisted of the: garlic toum, the chipotle sauce, and the olive sauce which tasted like an olive tapenade. These added so much flavor to the wrap. All in all, I enjoyed it. the Chicken Wrap was very fulfilling. Hubs had to help me finish it.

Yelp
Check it out. The cut up wrap with a side was more food than a normal human can handle. For the price of $20. The place is pretty spartan but id clean bright and gets the job done. The people working were helpful in guiding me what to order. Sauces they included were all great. Plenty of options to try out.

Aysun H.

Yelp
I am giving one star for only polite workers. Shawarma was just terrible, very spicy chicken and too dry. There was no any sauce in it. Very regretful to go there!

Yelp
Was okay, got the chicken wrap and the chicken was flavorful but it was extremely oily, also had to wait an extremely long time to get our food. This place has a no frills vibe which is cool if that's what they are going for, prices are reasonable for the portion but just wish the food wasn't so oily and the service was a bit quicker, when we were eating there a huge group formed inside to wait for their food and created a bit of a hectic atmosphere

Yelp
Size, taste, texture and mouthfeel. Ever have a big sloppy, soggy shawarma that's falling apart with no variance in textures? This ain't that. Shawarmaji has a perfectly crisped wrap that is stretched out in a way that allows maximum toastyness not the tip all the way to the end. Their chicken is crisped up nicely, and their fries as well. The mint they give you isn't going to help with the garlic breath, haha. Cancel your in person meetings. When I'm solo I love sitting at the bar watching the street, but there is a lacquer on the wood that seems to make the surface sticky. Otherwise, it is a beautiful slab of wood.

Yelp
Pleasantly suprised! It was really flavorful, a bit salty but very good. Definitely needed some water. The mix of seasoning, pickled veggies, and crispy fries were great. Service was great, a lot of was self served getting water and utensils. Food got out fast too. Place had good parking and decent amount of seating.

Yelp
Came here with my bf, the cashier was eh not necessarily nice or rude. The food was okay. Not what we were expecting. Lowkey disappointing.... Compared to other shawarma. Worth a try for yourself tho

Yelp
Went in because everyone kept telling me I need to try there shawarma. Being from the Middle East and knowing what certain dishes need to taste like I gave them a try. For starters I went only willing to try their falafel. This is because, if you can't perfect and execute a basic middle eastern fritter then I'm not going to have much faith in trying their meat. With that said, the falafel was Excellent! It was green and tender in the middle and fried perfectly with a nice crunch on the outside. Also, you can tell that this place changes their frying oil on a regular basis because the falafel did not have that oily taste or smell, which most places unfortunately have. The only con was the salad that the falafel came with. It was a bunch of spinach leaves with a few small pieces of tomato and maybe cucumber. I ordered this because on the yelp pages it showed a lot of pickled vegetables like Carrots, cauliflower, and pickled veggies that is typically expected in a middle eastern salad being served with the falafel. It was truly a let down. The staff was amazing, kind, and professional. I expressed by disappointment with the salad and the server actually apologized and informed me that they no longer make the salad with the additional pickled veggies I saw online. I would return to possibly try their shawarma next time, but the salad with falafel, left me feeling I over paid.

Yelp
Enjoyed our visit here for lunch yesterday! We tried the chicken wraps with fries and they were absolutely delicious. The ladies at the front were very helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. The ambience was clean and pleasant, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Will definitely be back when we're in the area again!

Yelp
Place was near SCU, ordered a chicken wrap with fries inside. Service was nice and decent. Wrap is very thin and long. Bit dissapointed that since they charge $15.5 for the wrap it barely came with a lot of chicken and was so thin. We got fries on the side, fries were good. Wouldnt come back tho since cost was pricey for what you get. Nice decoration in the place.

Yelp
Small local neighborhood spot. We ordered Chicken Arabi Style and chicken wrap. The chicken was extremely dry. Seasoned fries were just OK. About the best thing here we're the pickles. I was very disappointed in the food. Staff was friendly. Parking is a challenge, as the neighborhood has permit parking only and street parking can be limited, so prepare to circle around looking for a spot or wear your comfy shoes and walk.

Yelp
I was finishing doing my last round of Uber Eats delivery and I've been wanting to try Palestinian cuisines, so I decided to try it nearby. I have tried Middleeastern cuisine during pandemic, such as falafel. If you want to try Palestinian cuisine, its a real deal. Apparently, I learned that there's 2 location for this place other than here and the first one is located in Oakland. I like coming in to restaurants with less people and its on a weekday too (I'm not a fan of huge crowds). I know people would come in on weekends, which can get crowded. (I can't say for sure because I haven't go in on any weekends.) Customer service was excellent because I wasn't sure what I want, so the server recommended me the Arabi style lamb and chicken shawarmaji wrap. Of course, I decided to dine in because I want to give an impression on the wraps. The lamb was super juicy when I took few bites of it, which I like it. I give it a 10 on the lamb. The chicken was pretty good too though it's a little dry, so an 8. The tabouleh salad was very refreshing to start my appetite because I need veggies on the side while eating the wrap. I give the salad the 9! I had leftover sauce, so I asked the server to give me a bag to take home and he was nice to give me extra sauce for me to devour the whole thing. One of my favorite sauces are the garlic sauce and the Chipotle sauce. The inside felt nice for the most part because you'll see photos hanging up to show where the shawarmaji wrap was originally from while you listen to the traditional music playing. I would come back or try the first location one day to try different order. Again, this is a real deal.

Yelp
Located right by Santa Clara University, parking is difficult to find. The interior is small and there's only 12 tables making seating a bit limited. The noise level is relatively quiet. Chicken shawarma fries (5/5): super loaded. The fries were crispy but were still soft inside. The portions were huge. The chicken was tender and flavorful along with the fries. The tzatziki paired well with it. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Shawarmaji is an amazing place. The food is absolutely delicious. A pro is that if you ever decide to take your food to go, it's already in a to-go container.
