Google
I had scouted this place out on Instagram about a month before visiting Canmore and let me just say… it more than lived up to the hype. Incredible brews with epic views. Highly recommend.

Google
The Saison aged in Chardonnay barrels was so good that I took home a growler of that plus a couple packs of their NEIPA and Coconut Porter. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I'll be back!

I had an amazing experience here! The beer selection is fantastic, and the people are even better. Erin was incredibly helpful and patient, guiding me through the different beer options to find the perfect ones for me. Although I couldn’t stay long and had to take some cans to go, I can definitely say this is a great place to chill and enjoy quality beer. Thank you, Erin, for the wonderful service!

Google
A great little brewery. First and most importantly, there is a great variety of delicious beer. My personal favourite was the Belgian Tripel. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, they seem to know everyone who came by. Unpretentious, fun, and great beer. We'll be back soon!

Absolutely incredible. It's a real place to get a real beer with some real people. 10/10

Google
A great place for beer, although I’m a bit disappointed in the west coast IPA, it comes across as a hazy and not a west coast IPA.. I don’t like anything hazy, the first few sips of any hazy taste great.. but after that it’s a chore to drink.. the IPA used to be better, but if you like hazy beer you are going to enjoy this, lots of other tasty beers I should have ordered, I’d still recommend this place, it’s got good beers.

Yelp
Imagine, after a grueling day of hiking or biking, stepping off the humanity-filled sidewalk into a kid free oasis of calm where you just say the word and an ice cold pint of liquid nirvana appears before you. There you have the Banff Sheepdog Brewing experience. The beers are interesting and creative. I can verify that the Belgian IPA is highly delicious. The servers are efficient, doing what they do, serving you pints. What else do you want? Also, there are no kids.

Yelp
Such a fun brewery to hang out at. We stopped for some beers and appetizers which were great! Brewery is also dog friendly on the lower level which was awesome so my pup could join! P.S. the bathroom decor is awesome!

Yelp
Great place for beers nice staff great views. Their sour was refreshing. Parking seemed reserved for other businesses so we went around a bit for a spot. I'm overall good place.

Yelp
Sheepdog was by far our favorite brewery in the Banff area! They had so many fun beers. Our favorite part was the variety of sizes so we could try more and the cute small glasses you could buy to take home.

Yelp
Well, I love trying local breweries so while in Canmore, AB, Canada I had to try Sheepdog Brewing. I had a flight with a light Pilsner to a coconut Porter on the dark side. The only one I didn't like was the West Coast Pilsner due to its bitterness. If you like IPA's you will like this one. It was super busy as it was the Friday before Canada Day! We found a table upstairs with a beautiful view and enjoyed our time immensley!

Yelp
This place is amazing. The bartenders are so welcoming and cheerful. It's dog-friendly! Both beers we had were delicious. The gin-barrel aged blueberry cream ale was a whooping 9% that had so much flavor and drank so smooth it was dangerous. The Lost Local Lager had depth of flavor but also finished smooth. Loved this place!

Yelp
Visiting Canmore and wanted to try a local brewery. We have fabulous local breweries in NC so wasn't sure how a Canadian one would compare but it was fantastic. We had our 19 year old daughter with us. She can't drink legally in the States so this was her first trip to a brewery and I'm glad it was such a great experience. The employees were super friendly and let us taste a sample before we made our decisions. I had the Beam Me Up Blonde Ale and daughter had the dry cider. Husband enjoyed his IPA. I saw the bartender bring out some fabulous looking soft pretzels several times so they must serve some food as well. First we sat outside on the deck with a nice view of the mountains but it started to rain so we moved in to a cozier table inside. I wish we'd had the time to stay longer and try more beers, a flight or maybe the bbq food truck parked outside. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good beer in Canmore.

Yelp
Great place off the main strip. Beautiful view of the mountains and quiet. There were many options for beers that made it good to get a flight. Service was good.

Yelp
Love this place. Off the beaten path, in the best way possible. Staff is amazing, beer is really tasty and feels light years from the tourist areas.

Yelp
It is a brewery with patio seating. Wide selection on tap. You cannot go wrong. Mountain views. Friendly staff. No food except for bags of chips. Sours, cider, whitbeers, IPAs, porters, lagers.

Yelp
Seldom leave reviews, only for the best or the worst. This is in the 'best' category. Great staff, welcoming to our beloved pup Ted (that's huge). And the beers? They're fantastic. Self admittedly, I'm a touch snobby when it comes to brew. These guys deliver in spades. Thanks y'all. We will return.

Yelp
Great place if you live in or are visiting the Canadian Rockies. Good beer, nice staff.

Yelp
Nice & cozy, locals like atmosphere. Friendly staff. Did wonder why the canned beer in the fridge, which was opened and then poured into our glasses, was $3 more than the can which can be bought for $5. I realize enjoying the beer at the location helps pay the electricity, the lease etc but really $3 more per can? Just asking, just wondering?

Yelp
We did a crawl of all breweries in Jasper, BANFF, and Canmore, and this was our overall favorite. Actually good beers, cool merch, lowkey setting. Would definitely return again.

Yelp
As a typical 30-something US traveler, I'm always on the lookout for good craft beer. Glad we were able to find Sheepdog in an unassuming shopping center on the edge of Canmore! The space isn't huge (although there seems to be event space upstairs), but they can expand into the parking lot when the weather is nice which we were lucky enough to have. I opted for a flight because there were too many good options to choose from. They offer 10 taps and seem to have a good variety for all taste buds. They partner with some local eateries to offer some decent food; we got a puff pastry-wrapped sausage and a pretzel. I hear they're pretty new, so I hope they keep making tasty beer for all to find!

Yelp
Fun new addition to a growing area of Canmore up on Elk Run Boulevard. Make it a double-header and have a few beers here before heading over for a cocktail at Wild Life. I like the patio-style seating, helpful, chatty staff and plethora of dogs because all those things make beer better. They also brew some different kinds of suds than other Canmore breweries, and put the older stuff on sale when the keg gets low.

Yelp
Fantastic new brewery in Canmore!! Our first visit and the staff was amazing and the beers were so tasty. We had a flight and had a tough choice deciding which beer to pick out for the main round. Highly recommend as a US visitor as this is would be where we would go as a local patron for good brew and great times!

Cymantha A.

Yelp
Loved it! After a long day of hiking and exploring, this was a great place to come and relax. We're from the US but felt right at home. People really enjoying each other and great beer!
