Shelby Heritage Center is located on Sunset and Ensworth, across from Town Square Las Vegas. They're open seven days a week.
Inside the showroom is an amazing lineup of models ranging from the original to newer designs. These cars are either personally owned or company owned, they even have a few displays from customers who own a car collection.
The Sebring is super cool! It's a nice 302 car with 5-speed, can be driven on the street, and looks like a track car.
Shelby Series 1 is a fully manufactured car. It resembles a corvette and has full aluminum chassis, 4-wheel independent suspension, 4.0 Oldsmobile engine, ZF transaxle, made of carbon fiber, and has a convertible top. The reasoning behind Carroll Shelby's design was to build a track car that can also be driven on the street.
They do incorporate some designs from the older models into the newer style such as the Mach-E, which is an electric car and has a mustang look.
Other models in the showroom include Shelby GT500 KR, it's aerodynamic, street legal, has over 900 horsepower, and performs like a race car, that's a beauty! The very last car tested by Shelby was the 1000 car which has 1000 horsepower.
It's exciting and really neat seeing some of the early models that came out, and the newer designs have remarkable craftmanship. They even have an onsite factory making the experience interactive and totally fun!
