D.C.’s Most Exciting New Restaurants of 2020, According to the Experts | Eater DC

"Shell Shack Seafood has really impressed me this year — from their Caribbean-inspired Thanksgiving menu to their brunch pop-up everything I’ve eaten has been delicious, and every time I order I must add crab and corn fritters as an appetizer." - Gabe Hiatt

Google
I've only been here one time, but everything was good. We ordered the fried calamari, gumbo with white rice, and the fried soft shell crab with Cajun fries. The waitress was friendly and made sure to check on us often. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was like being on a boat or pier. I will definitely be going back for another visit.

Google
We came few minutes before they open. We were their first customers so the place was empty. I liked how they took their time to decorate the restaurant. The place is nice, bright, and clean. The server was also really nice. For Combo Deals, you can pick and choose which seafood you wanted, what sauce, and how spicy you wanted it to be. We ordered Combo #3, with Crab + 3 orders of shrimp + Snow crab, with the House special sauce, medium spicy. It was really good especially with lemon! Must try! 😋 Wait time is bit long but, it was worth the wait. You know that it was freshly cooked. While waiting, we also ordered Garlic Bread and Cajun Fries which disappeared so fast, i felt like we inhaled them 😂 jk! But they also tasted really good since they were still hot and freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend! We’ll be back again 😊

Google
It was good however, It was not much food for the price GRANT IT... the price of shellfish is expensive. But when you are getting an item that feeds 4 people, at least have 4 corn on the cobs in the bag. We had to pick and choose who gets what on a couple of items in the bag. Needs a bit of consistency.

Google
We came in on a Friday evening and t seated immediately. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered garlic noodles, Cajun garlic fries, and combo 1 with house special sauce medium spice. Delicious flavor! The sauce was pretty thick compared to other seafood boil spots and still very tasty. The combo came with 3 pounds so we choice clams, shrimp with head off and shrimp with head on. We enjoyed everything that came with the meal and would come back. For 2 people it came out to about $100 but we had left over for 2 more meals!

Google
I don't agree with all the high ratings. We had raw oysters, gumbo and fried catfish. The oysters were rubbery, they were out of horseradish. The gumbo was very skimpy on the seafood, too much rice. We found one morsel of shrimp. Not sure if it was old oil or the catfish was old but it had a metallic taste. Staff are friendly and service was prompt. Sweet potato fries were good.

Google
Soft shell crab w/ garlic cajun fries and GARLIC noodles. This was a complete win-win for my taste buds. The crab tasted good and the GARLIC noodles were heavenly 😋. If you are a fan of GARLIC, then I strongly recommend that dish.

D K.

Google
3.5 - 4 stars. It’s pretty good. The gumbo could use a little spice but it really tasted canned. I had the catfish basket. Pretty filling, they give generous portions. The Cajun fries were really good. This isn’t a place if you’re on a diet but if you want some comfort food then come here!

Angelia J.

Google
I enjoyed the food. Kind of pricey for one person, but it definitely is fulfilling, I couldn't eat all my food. I had to order a la carte because they didn't have a combo with just crab legs. But I will be back!

Yelp
My bf and I wanted to go out and celebrate, lately in our lives we have so many things to be grateful for. I always wanted to try this spot out so we both decided to come here and see what's all the hype about. Walking in were greeted right away and able to sit where we like. The waiter came by with menus and asked we wanted anything to drink, we both ordered water since we knew the food will fill us quickly. My bf wanted oysters for some reason, I love me some oysters but when they are served freshly cooked not served cold. I cannot do served cold! We decided to create our own plate and as we were waiting for our food the waiter gave us bins, gloves, and lemons. The table was already covered in white paper so that's a plus. They know it's about to get messy lol. The food was amazing! I was so full! Next time I definitely will ask for white rice if they serve that. I felt like that's all that was missing. The place was so big and ppl's writings on the walls and they allow you write on them too! So if you ever plan to stop by bring a sharpie!

Yelp
Shell Shock Seafood House in Hayward is one of my favorites places to go when I'm craving seafood! The space is huge and the ambience is cozy and laid back. I like that we aren't seated close to others and it gives our group some personal space in between and it is never too loud. We can enjoy our meal as well as conversation. The staff is kind and patient. I appreciate that they don't rush or pressure us to order more. They are attentive and check in reasonably. I am a fan of the seafood and flavorful sauces. Portions are generous, that our group can share. Looking forward to dining here, again!

Yelp
Stopped by for first time and ordered fried oysters and garlic noodles for take out. Oysters were lightly breaded and had a good taste. Received a good amount of noodles which were delicious. Restaurant decor very nice with plenty of seating. Great customer service.

Kenya C.

Yelp
The food was good and we had a good time but our server Cindy charged the 18% of tip for each tab and it was 6 of us with different tabs and she charged 18% on all of us

Jennifer G.

Yelp
The food was okay but our server was so dry with us. It was a party of 6 we did ask if we can have our bills split and we noticed once we got back in town. We live almost 1hr half away that our server Cindy charged %18 tip on each of our tabs instead of charging one as whole since it was a party of six. So it was a total of almost $80 tip. Will not be coming back.

Yelp
TLDR - Solid seafood boil spot in the East Bay. Excellent service and good flavoring. I stopped by here with my girlfriend and her softball team for a post championship game consolation meal. I went in with my spirits shattered after a crushing defeat and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much for this meal. With all that said - this place was actually really good. We stopped by here around 7 PM and the restaurant was fairly open - there was enough room to accommodate all of the team as well as a few additional guests. For my meal, I got a build your own seafood bag with headless shrimp, potato's, sausage, and corn on the cob with a side of rice. Food came promptly across the board One thing to mention - this was my first time having a seafood boil and I wasn't sure what to expect. But I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by my seafood boil. The shrimp were cooked through (I'm no expert so I couldn't tell if they were over cooked to be honest) and it tasted fantastic. I got my bag with house sauce at the spicy heat level - the combination of Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper and garlic butter was ultra decadent. The spiciness could've been a little more for me personally so next time I'd get the highest one. My girlfriend's garlic noodles were very solid as well - her only comment was that things were on the saltier side and that she needed a pitcher of water after the meal. Service was great - All 20 or so of us were taken care of with no issues and additional requests were handled quickly. They also were able to split the bill amongst several parties without any issues. All in all, this meal was a much needed pick me up after a tough game earlier in the day. It didn't taste as good as victory, but definitely was a close second. I would recommend this place to anyone for sure and will definitely stop by again. 4/5

Yelp
Nice bright and open space. Friendly staff and great, attentive service. We came in with a party of 8 and was immediately seated around 6 pm on a Saturday night. The food was pretty decent. We did a few combos for our group. The shrimp was plentiful, but a little short on the snow crab. Their garlic noodles were decent as well. Glad to have tried, but we have some other seafood boil bag places that I think we prefer.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday with my family, because it was close by and because we were having dinner at 7pm. My parents don't like to drive to far when it gets dark out, which is why I chose this place. Not really the best dinner we had. Their flavoring was good, and I will give that to them, but some of our shrimps were a little over cooked. Now you are going to think, of course over time it will cook more and more in that hot bag. We know, which is why my sister and I took out all the shrimps out of our combo and to peel and throw back into the bag to soak in more of the flavors. We have been here before and a lot of our shrimp was over cooked. They gave us a new bag last time, but this is the reason why we took out all our shrimp first. No other complain though on the flavors and food besides the some of our shrimp being over cooked, it was not a lot of shrimp, but still something they need to work on. Now this place was not busy at all, there were a few tables but not enough for them to be busy busy. Not once did they come and check in on us. We needed refills on our drinks. I even held up our cups in the air. Our server came back with the check. I told her that we needed refills first. When she came back with the refills I asked for boxes. Thanks for giving us what we had to ask for, but the customer service aspect was not there. Another server was cleaning a table near us and we even said excuse me, but she walked away. I did not scream it out, but I said it loud enough... at least I thought I did. I don't know. My dad did really enjoy the garlic noodles though. Flavoring is good, food was good, shrimp was ok and the service was not even present at all.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
This is an attempt at Cajun, but was a bit of a miss for me. The seafood was overcooked and it wasn't the cleanest of environments. The shrimp was the best cooked item. The lobster was dry and tough. The mussels were chewy. The sauce was oily and not as flavorful as I would expect, though the spice level is pretty good...as desired. The service was ok.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Forgot to mention their fried shrimp! They're really good, well seasoned and crispy. A must try!
google avatar

Tracy H.

Yelp
Tried their combo, wasn't that much flavor. Garlic noodles were okay. I was expecting thin noodles instead of the thick one. They have kind staff!

Dennis B.

Yelp
First time here! Loved the decorations and vibe of the place. Food was really good and tasty! We were greeted by the host right away. Definitely coming back soon.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
This is not the spot for fresh food the ambiance is basic no frills but enough to bring a large party our waitress did her best that she could muster that day so service was good now on to the food we ordered fried oysters, shrimp basket, garlic noodles, onion rings, lobster roll corn on the cob & calamari Margaritas are Costco grade cause they told us ~ so we ordered the Moscato that was flat so be aware Lets just say we sent the lobster roll back because there was no lobster it's imitation seafood salad and the calamari which was not cooked yuk and the rest was all over cooked and unseasoned needless to say we won't be back

Sammy S.

Yelp
The food here is very pricey. For example: the combo here is 68$ compared to the same combo at bag o crab in san Leandro is only 33$. For half the price and better flavor. I will attach the menu for both places to compare to.
google avatar

Chi N.

Yelp
I ordered takeout here and my experience was great. They didn't have fresh crawfish so I ordered clams and shrimp, as well as corn with their house sauce. The sauce is very tasty over white rice. Their combo deals are very reasonable. You can get a whole Dungeness crab with clams, mussels or shrimp as well as corns, potatoes and sausages. The interior is a very quaint nautical theme. I look forward to dining in next time!

Yelp
I was craving gumbo like crazy, so I decided to try Shell Shock Cajun Seafood in Hayward, & I ordered some gumbo The customer service, ambience & decor was all good. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade to wash it all down. Let me just say, the gumbo tasted like minestrone soup. The texture was like minestrone, and there were carrots and celery in it, what???? The lemonade tasted like flat, super sweet fruit lunch. There was zero lemonade taste to it. I would go there in the future to try the seafood. (Maybe,) but how far I drove, and what I paid....I know to NEVER order the gumbo or lemonade!!!!!

Yelp
Holy crab, the reel-y awesome seafood spread at Shell shock seafood house had us anchored in a haven of oceanic flavors! Dive into one of the 3 Seafood Combos. I got combo 3, a maritime marvel with a whole Dungeness crab, tipping the scales at a hefty 1.5-2lbs, complemented by a medley of clams, crawfish, and shrimp. Each morsel was bathed in a rich and aromatic cajun sauce. The Garlic Noodles is a symphony of taste - tender noodles, all enrobed in a golden, garlicky embrace. It's a dish that sings of comfort and flavor. The Fried Shrimp Basket was my favorite. Each shrimp encased in a crisp, golden coat, paired impeccably with Garlic Cajun Fries - a duo that crunches and satisfies with every bite. End of your meal with a margarita or the various macaron ice creams. I love the casual sea theme and relatively quick service, although the seafood combo is a little pricey. Say 'shell yeah' to dive into a Cajun seafood boil asap!

Yelp
We ordered the bayou bucket with snow crab legs. They were out of king crab and also Crawfish which I was very upset about since I came here just for that. They were also out of gloves and rice. Service was mediocre. I got my beer with my food. But at least the beer was ic icy cold. I loved it I also ordered the frog legs but for some reason they gave me fried gator. I don't know if it was because we came an hour before they closed and they were really rushing but I was very disappointed. Overall, what they had to I offer us was very flavorful. Just wish they had all the stuff in stock and that the service was a little bit better.

Yelp
Soooooo where do I begin, We order fried catfish with Garlic Parmesan fries Fried shrimp with lemon pepper fries 1 reg lemonade 1 strawberry lemonade Sports bar feel but 0 sports channels the lady was rude about the tv channels it could've been a language barrier but then we got the remote and no sports channel on their cable package... The fish and shrimp tasted like it was fried together in the same grease and batter -__-
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
Cool spot for and seafood. Definitely don't wear you best,.. it's messy. People are lovely and service is fast.

Jackie M.

Yelp
Rudest server I ever had. I still tipped but shouldn't have! The food was not the best and was cold. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone save your money and go some where with better service our server was on a phone call the entire time. If you go you will know which server I am talking about. Save your money and save yourself the disappointment!

Yelp
This place looks and feels almost exactly like Boiling Crab! We got some shrimp and sausage with their house sauce and fries and gumbo to share. Because of the similarity of the restaurant to Boiling Crab, we were expecting similar flavors, but that's our bad for making any assumptions because that was not the case. Aside from our assumptions, the seafood sauce was okay - it had a lot of flavor, but the combination was interesting. The shrimp was nice and plump though. Gumbo was fine. Nothing exciting there. Fries were good. Overall, food decent, but the sauce was not to my taste.
google avatar

Yelp
With the sad news that my favorite crawfish place closed (Crawdaddy in Milpitas), the fam tried out Shell Shock. It's a bit pricier than say, Cajun Crackin' in Milpitas, but the flavors are pretty good. We ordered mildly spicy SS House Special sauce *cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper. Not hot, the hot link sausages were spicier. Go medium & beyond if spice is your life. Sauce is thicker here, like at Ray's Crab Shack. *Combo #1: 2 fresh crawfish +$4 & 1 shrimp (choose 3 lbs from shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels) includes corn, potatoes, sausage *Combo #3: Dungeness crab + crawfish, shrimp, clams plain boil (choose either crab, snow crab legs, or lobster & 3 lbs from combo 1 options) *Dungeness crab plain boil: they give the option of cut/clean but without the main shell *Garlic Noodles: happy with this because of all the delectable garlic! I was a tad upset I found 3 inedible fresh crawfish (rubbery/easily crumbled with a sandy taste) but the rest of the 3lbs was fine. Shrimp was cooked well. The house special sauce had a slightly sweet taste that I'm not accustomed to with seafood boil. No wait at 5pm on a Saturday. Nautical interior with spacious seating. Staff is nice too. Waters were refilled, they checked on us, and also offer hot water to drink. I really enjoyed whoever's music playlist was playing on 5/20/23 around 5pm! I wouldn't mind coming back.
google avatar

Amal P.

Yelp
Food was good butI ordered medium spicy and it came pretty mild. I also ordered a combo with a dungeness crab but it had 1 tiny claw which had no meat and missing a leg. They sell that as a combo so I'm guessing I didn't get my money's worth on that crab.
google avatar

Jen-Jen B.

Yelp
Came here with a party of six in the mood for seafood boil. Looks like a typical seafood boil spot. Place wasn't too busy. Maybe three or four other parties there. We were seated promptly. Took a bit of a while to put our orders in and some orders took longer than others to receive. Ordered two shell shock combos, fried oysters, garlic noodles, and some strawberry margaritas. Don't get me wrong, the seafood and margaritas were good. The garlic noodles tho seemed overcooked and a bit bland. Service wasn't so great. We probably were checked on once and that was when we were waiting on our other orders. They're a bit pricey as well compared to most seafood boil spots.
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
We got combo #1 which was 3 lbs of shrimp, orig mild cajun styled shrimp and an order of calamari. The cried calamari was so crisp and fresh !!! The shrimp was delicious and the flavor was good ~ It's pricier than most places but worth a try ~ The nautical theme was a cute interior choice

Corodata I.

Yelp
We went all out with 2lbs of shrimp, a hugeee lobster, garlic noodles that were pure perfection, and those cajun garlic fries were next level! If you're craving seafood done right, this is THE spot!
google avatar

Claudia S.

Yelp
Really good Cajun style seafood boil house!!! There's three combos to choose from and we got the basic combo which comes with three pounds of seafood. We chose the shrimp with head off and clams and it was very delicious. I wish I had tried the Cajun seasoning and not the garlic butter but I digress. It was so much protein and I have a big appetite and it still fed three people. It can totally feed four people but like I said we are eaters :) Definitely happy it's by the target so I can walk off the food haha... highly recommended this crab boil, which offers lobster too if you're down for a more expensive meal!!!

Yelp
The Customer is Always Right!!!! Unfortunately this is not the case at Shell Shock Seafood!!!!! I went there tonight to celebrate my Birthday!!! I arrived at 8pm and was told they close at 9Pm. So I grabbed a Table and Ordered 2 Lbs of Snow Crab Legs , Sausage and Corn On The Cobb in Garlic Butter Spicy Boil Sauce!!! I also ordered Fried Calamari!!!! My Food Arrived 15 Minutes Later!!! I started Plowing my Snow Crab Legs!!! They were Delicious and Spicy!!!! 15 Minutes Later my Server dropped off my Bill !!!! WTF I just started eating!!! 15 Minutes later my Server asked me if I needed To Go Box's !!!! My Server was Giving Me The Bums Rush!!!! He mentioned he was a Student and was tired and wanted to go Home and go to Sleep!!!! Since I like to Enjoy my Food I decided to take the rest home instead of getting the Bums Rush!!!! Servers are Horrible, Not Attentive and have Poor Attitudes !!! No Refills on my Water!!! Buns Rush to eat !!! No Thanks!!! Definitely Not A Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!! Hang Ten Southland Mall Has Great Seafood Boil and Way Better Customer Service!!!! I'll go there Next Time!!! Yelp
Way closer than driving all the way to Boiling Crab in San Jose! O R D E R E D - Raw Oysters [1/2 dozen] - Combo 2 with whole dungeness crab, clams and mussels - One order of snow crab legs V E R D I C T Thank goodness I don't need to drive to San Jose for boiling crab anymore. Everything that we ordered tasted super fresh, especially the raw oysters - it was sweet and cleaned so well. They have 3 different combo packs you can order and choose which seafood you'd like between dungeness crab, snow crab legs or whole lobster. I love how big teir clams and mussels are. Especially their house sauce, I had to get it mild spicy, and that was perfect. Their sausages, I warned you, is quite spicy and for sure spicier than the sauce I ordered haha so be prepared for that. They also have Maven's macaron ice cream sandwiches available for dessert, the mint chocolate was my favorite. They have lots of booth tables available and tv for those who love watching spots, etc. Parking is super easy and they're not far from the 92, so what's your excuse for now coming to try it?
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
I'd say the service was great, and food came out in decent time. I think food was ok, a little underwhelming but ok. I don't understood the purpose of leaving the crab gills and innards in the bag. Would I go out of my way to eat here again? No Did I get full? Yes Again my waiter was great
google avatar

Cristal F.

Yelp
We walked in as a large group of 10. We sat down with no wait and the server was amazing. They were very attentive and professional. Food was delicious too. It is a lil pricey but serving are very giving.

Yelp
Mal mal mal atención a la hora de tomar la orden y pagar! Primera y última vez en este lugar!

Andrea C.

Yelp
This was my favorite place to go. I opted here over any other seafood boil place. Not only is the atmosphere kind of sad ( I take it to go) but my order went up in price by $20 more. The sauce is not the same which is what I liked. My friends hate this place. When I suggested here they would roll their eyes & say their shrimp etc is over cooked & stuck to the shell but the sauce kept me opting for us to get shell shock. Now the sauce is thin & lacking in flavor. I can really tell how overcooked the shrimp is . It's just not good anymore. I also feel lethargic after eating here.

Nick M.

Yelp
Been here more than a few times and it WAS extremely good the first 4-5 times my ex and I had went. After that things started going downhill. First was the portion sizes. You ordered and paid for the same thing but were getting 2/3 the original amount, and it just got to be less each time. Next to happen was we got some Kings Crab legs with our bag and when they came out the were ice cold in the middle and my ex ended up later getting ill. Only compensation offered was half off of our bill. I only agreed because I was fairly pissed and just wanted to leave.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
I ordered Online and this place is alright! The food is all good nothing to complain about. Service is good, Ambiance is good. I guess the only thing to think about this place is the prices, I mean if you are to dine here or order online, be ready to make it rain or spent those Benjamins.
google avatar

Artesia D.

Yelp
Omg, I love, love this spot. Neat, clean and delicious. I have a few other boiling seafood spots but this one is a hit for me. Celebrated a birthday there and the servers were great! They made us feel like royalty. I can say the prices were comparable to other eateries but the way they made me and guests feel is a special unique quality that not many restaurants can offer. Go and enjoys!!!

Angela R.

Yelp
Ordered lobster last night and this is what we got. $100 for green mush. Tried to return it but the waitress said we couldn't get our money back and that this was normal? Never eating here again! Absolutely disgusting. Lost my appetite.
google avatar

Jenny P.

Yelp
This is one of my go to spots for cajun boil in the east bay. Highlights: the shrimp is HUGE. The sauce isn't too oily and is more of the paste consistency that I prefer. Great service overall. The market prices have increased but that is reflective with all of the places. One thing to note is they don't ever put enough seasoning on their fries. I order cajun fries and I want it to taste like cajun! I end up asking for more cajun powder on the side to put on top.
google avatar

Alicia A.

Yelp
Out with the fam and stopped here for lunch. Ample parking. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the fried calamari, the combo bag with shrimp, crawfish and clams in the house sauce. Also ordered the chicken strip for the non seafood eating member in the family. Food came out fairly quickly. The calamari was a good size basket nice and crispy and was not super greasy. The combo bag had shrimp that were mushy. Clams were ok, no sand in them and the crawfish were pretty good size. Sauce wise it was ok tasting, would've prefer even more garlic that they had. Bathrooms clean and servers were accommodating.

Maria R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place, my husband and I ate here with out 2 girls and it was so good and a great amount .. I like how they supply us with gloves and bibs the food was so flavorful and seasoned to perfection.. Service was kind and friendly very inviting place.. I will be returning back.

Yelp
03/25/23 Dinner We usually go to Cut the Crab in Fremont, but we wanted to mix it up and try a new to us spot. We order the garlic bread and a Combo #1 with Head-On Shrimp, Clams and Mussels with the Mild House Sauce. My husband and I killed it. It was delicious! Their garlic bread is definitely better than CTC, but the prices, service and overall food taste were comparable. I did miss the edamame that CTC includes in their bag of seafood.
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
We came in on a Friday evening and t seated immediately. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered garlic noodles, Cajun garlic fries, and combo 1 with house special sauce medium spice. Delicious flavor! The sauce was pretty thick compared to other seafood boil spots and still very tasty. The combo came with 3 pounds so we choice clams, shrimp with head off and shrimp with head on. We enjoyed everything that came with the meal and would come back. For 2 people it came out to about $100 but we had left over for 2 more meals!
google avatar

Rudy M.

Yelp
The mussels were great and the crab and the garlic noodles were just okay. The ambience was not very comfortable at all and the customer service lacked greatly.
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
This spot will SATISFY the cravings, however, I do not suggest squeezing a party of 9 in a booth cause it gets TIGHT. Flavor was on point, servers are very observant and make sure they NEVER leave you thirsty. Garlic noodles were aight. Anyways, I defintely recommend y'all stop by and try out their Cajun style seafood!
google avatar

Toby S.

Yelp
This is a great place for fresh Cajun Style seafood boil. I got the Lobster, Dungeness Crab and Shrimp with the house special sauce. It is mix of Cajun Style, Garlic Butter and Lemon Pepper. Love the spices, so flavorful. The food is served hot, on the table, with no plates. Put on the bib and plastic gloves (provided by the restaurant). Then dig in with your hand without worries about the mess. This is the way to enjoy seafood. So good. Don't forget to end the meal with Mavens Creamery Macaron Ice Cream. It is the perfect dessert and helps to balance out from heat of the spices & cool down. This restaurant is in a mall next to Hayward Executive Airport. Parking is easy. @eatswithfoodie

Yelp
It was my 1st time here on Valentine's Day. I brought my own gloves, because their's was too large The service was fine. The crab was absolutely delicious. We picked #3 & we're so pleased with our choice. It was the perfect balance for 2. Thank you for leaving the goodness in the shell. I hate that other places take the goodness out, big mistake. The legs were just what I'd hoped for, meaty. The corn was good, sausages and shrimp was perfect with the potatoes and rice that I added. Our pitcher was enough for 4/5 glasses. I'm a lightweight. For sure I had 2 glasses of beer. I honestly couldn't remember what I drank. The only turn-off was only being given 1 shell cracker. Other places have is our own. It's like being handed 1 fork & 1 spoon to share for dinner. Otherwise, we're still definitely making this our local go to now.

Salila T.

Yelp
Food was ok, shrimps were over cooked which makes it hard to peel. I ordered extra garlic sauce with the combo but didn't get what I ordered. Oysters were fresh but they only serve with cocktail sauce and hot sauce. I ordered a corona beer with lime but they only have lemon. Ordinary service, not impressed, asked server about what kind of oysters they have, didn't know anything about it. I don't think I will come back here, food and service is much better at Backyard Byou in union city.

Yelp
First time trying this place. We ordered Onion ring, fresh oysters and combo no 3 with Lobster, mussel, clam and shrimp with lemon pepper sauce. Onion ring wasn't that good while oysters weren't fresh but we were happy with combo 3 because all seafood tasted good and they use good quality. Service wasn't bad but they could have been more attentive . Although there were only 2 tables, nobody came to check on us until the end and forgot our drink.
