this is such a cute pub with friendly staff. went around dinnertime on Sunday and there was a duo playing live music and folks dancing around on the patio seating. there were folks playing pool inside too and watching the game. food wise we ordered the loaded tots with corned beef, a cheeseburger, garlic fries, and clam chowder. the chowder was very good, very fresh since it's right by the sea. for drinks we got the Guinness (a must for an Irish pub!), a snake bite (Guinness inside of a cider, very yum), and a Tokyo tea (not pictured but strong and delicious). most importantly, we were offered parking validation!

Google
Overall an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is all self seating so when you get there just find a table and hang tight for a server to come to you! The servers and bus boys were very nice. Security was nice as well. There is a band that was playing outside and the music in the interior was a little loud but on the back patio it wasn’t too loud. They have sports playing on the TVs as well. The food was good. It came out hot. The fries were nice and crispy! The zucchini and calamari was good, I personally like my fried zucchini to be a bit more crunchy but it was still very good. Sweet potato fries had sugar on them instead of salt. Definitely sweet, but what else do you expect for sweet potato fries? Very good, would go back again!

Visited the place twice in last 3 days. Two different experiences Day one was great. Had great drinks and the food was awesome. Bangers and mash and fish n chips. Both were great. 2nd day, sat at the table and ordered via the scan code. For some time no one served us our drinks. My friend had to go to the bar to get our drinks. Recommend, if you are not seeing the online orders, take out the scan codes.

Amazing food. Irish themed food. Great night life. They had a love band playing last night. Great atmosphere. Not sure on service. No one came to offer service so we just ordered online via the table qr code. So we just went with that and the service kind of "activated" after that.

So glad we found shenanigans! Such a hidden gem in the middle of nothing but trinkets and chain restaurants. Much more our vibe. Ashley, the bartender was so sweet and gave so many great suggestions off their seasonal menus. If you're looking for great food, great service, and some shade I highly suggest stopping by!!

Google
Great Irish pub atmosphere. The standard corned beef and cabbage is exactly what it should be! Same for fish n chips ! Drinks better be good and they are! The nutty Irishman shot is a must. Jameson mules. You can return many times for the live music.

Google
We loved the live music which they have every weekend. Today they had a two man band called Steady Rockwell on 1-1-25. They were very talented, eclectic, and open by allowing a customer sing a song with them. The vibe was great! We sat outdoors where they had heated lamps since it was about 55-60 degrees and it made it feel comfortable. The corned beef burger $17.33 was very good (even if a little salty) with very little fat and the meat was cooked very well but not burned and not overcooked and it had the coming off the bone feel where you could eat it like string cheese which I love, and the burger itself had a fried potato pancake as the bottom layer and healthy coleslaw on top of the meat. The bread was toasted just right… only thing is I wish there were Swiss cheese melted and sautéed onions in there… to add to the flavor. But overall quality meat burger and the fries were just right and crispy. The wait staff were very very attentive and I would say they were the top 1% as they kept asking us if we needed anything so we never had to flag anyone down. The security guard was nice too. Easygoing and friendly but professional. It’s situated with all the shopping on the pier so you can also have a water view and enjoy live music while eating and drinking. Parking is the public lot you pay for right across the way in about 10-15 steps at $10 max if you get validation at a restaurant. Shenanigans gives validation. By the hour the parking fee is $1 for every 20 minutes after the first hour. Without validation it’s a lot more. They have an ATM inside.

Google
Nice bar next the boardwalk and water. They have outside seating in front to enjoy the water view and a patio area where they have bands play during the day and night which is great during a hot summer night. The food is good and the chef really trys hard to make it right. The drinks are a bit high. They have large TV to watch your favorite game.

Yelp
As a local let's just mention that this location is above and beyond on location alone! It is a great walk and talk to its prime location! Parking is key as you can get in and out with easy instructions for safe exit and entry. There are lots of fun little trinket shops on the way and that counts for the kiddos as well! If you like pool their is a billiards table for the beginners and the shake em down pool cue enthusiast young and old alike! In terms of food your party cannot miss With the calamari and the Irish nachos both house favorites! The service is second none and if you are planning a corporate event give management a heads up and watch the. Roll out the venue red carpet with a smile! Hands down this is the best Irish bar for miles off the waterfront and I'll put 5ive stars behind that !!

Yelp
This is my third review of this place and a second update. It is definitely one star and my LAST visit there. I gave them another chance, because their food and prices are really good. But! Their selective treatment of customers did not improve. Some time ago I had breakfast there and I asked to have an item from kids' menu, because as a senior with a small stomach I cannot eat big portions and don't like to take leftovers to go. Several weeks ago I was served a kids order no problem. But today I was told (albeit with apology, but never the less) that I CANNOT order from a kids' menu. What a selective treatment it is!!!! One time it is ok, another time, sorry, you cannot??? What ingredients are you using in kids' menu that adults cannot have? Or, most likely, you are pushing senior people to spend more money at your place, even if the food goes wasted? If you have a kids' menu, be respectful enough to also have a senior menu (small portions), as dignified places have. Anyway, if you do not respect your senior customers, I don't think I will respect your business. It's sad, because your food is very good and the prices are ok too. Farewell, Shenanigans! Good food, but lousy attitude.

Yelp
We walked here from our hotel, a couple of Miles away and across the bridge. We were looking for food, as our hotel only served breakfast, and we wanted to get snacks and water for the room anyway. Our look online led us here to Shoreline Village. (We have a Shenanigans here in Chicago but I have never been there!) The area is perfect for a restaurant, near a harbor with boats and a view of the water (reminds me of Navy Pier), so we sat outside, esp when we heard there was to be live music. We wanted some quiet and to hear ourselves talk. Instead of the QR code way to order, a waitress came and took our orders in person. That was a nice touch, esp after poor Lauren G's ordeal! It was a Thursday early evening, not many customers. We ordered beers, and the waitress was nice enough to provide samples of the draft beer before committing to a pint. I like trying local beers so I got the Firestone Cali Blood Orange beer. It was good, so I got that and my party got a special happy hour vodka well drink. We ordered the fish tacos and corned beef sliders. We only wanted appetizers and they both hit the spot! They were moist with plenty of meat. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I was not too fond of the bathroom situation of 'all gender' but they were fairly clean. The live band came on and they were pretty good, but we sat in the front while they performed in the back. If I sit inside I would probably watch sports on the nice tvs around the bar, but I liked the 'jukebox' music. It's a fun place to sit near the water and look out, or sit inside like the pub that it is.

Yelp
Be VIGILANT when you order via your phone from this restaurant. They charged me $22 for a double Jameson and $12 for a Tito's and soda that I DID NOT order and they will do nothing to make it right. More below. Pretty much your only option is to scan a QR code and do everything online. I was having issues getting my card to load and just wanted to get my food order in. All I had was a BLT, mozzarella sticks and a water. When I got back to my hotel room, I saw I was charged $78!! I realized I hadn't closed my tab and thought maybe they charge you an insane fee for that. No. It must close automatically when you leave- great. I would never dine and dash so I was relieved it is set up to prevent that from happening. But then I looked at my bill. I immediately tried to call the bar back multiple times and no one answered and it didn't go to voicemail. I emailed them immediately. I was relieved they responded early the next morning. I gave every ounce of detail I possibly could to indicate I'm not trying to pull one over on them. The response was they can't prove it and I should have dealt with it at the bar. Well, back to the fact I didn't close my tab- it automatically closed when I left and it's a third party vendor so there was nothing I could do to have fixed this. And to top it off, thank god I took a screen grab of the web browser because they also never emailed me a receipt. So basically their bartender made a mistake and they are letting the customer take the fall. Who in their right mind would spend 6 days now trying to get this dealt with, just to get one over on the restaurant? This restaurant has no integrity and does not care at all about trying to fix a blatant mistake on their end. The entire situation is wildly shady and would strongly encourage anyone considering this place to go somewhere else that won't knowingly and blatantly steal from you.

Kristi R.

Yelp
Shenanigans is out here charging $18 for a house wine. This is a low end bar comparable to Yard House and they are charging Parker's Light House pricing for low quality. You cannot get a wine for under $18 . This was the only option.

Yelp
Came here this morning for brunch. We loved sitting at the high top looking over the boats. I ordered the Irish Benedict (I think that's what it was called) and it arrived freshly cooked, hot and delicious! My friend ordered the quesadilla and she loved it too! Our server was great, attentive, efficient and helpful, I don't remember her name unfortunately. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
We have been here several times and finally leaving a review. Everything we have ordered has been a big win. Tater Tots, Fried Mozzarella sticks, wings, cocktails, and they have the COLDEST beer on tap! The waitress today was not very friendly but that's not usually the case. Generally the staff is very friendly just not today. She seemed very transactional...1.2.3 here is your bill and done. The ambiance of this place is outstanding! Live Music and happy people. I highly recommend this place. The GO TO spot in Shoreline! Two thumbs up!

Yelp
This is located right at shoreline village, around a half mile walk from the aquarium. Staff were friendly and helpful, though service was a bit slow due to the Long Beach Marathon. I'm not sure they expected the crowd of people looking for breakfast first thing on a Sunday morning! The breakfast food was fairly standard diner-style food with decent prices. It's not something I'd crave, but definitely something I'd eat again. This is a live music/sports bar. It's very casual, a little dark, and has a lot of high top tables. It may not be the best fit for very young children due to the noise and atmosphere, but I would say that it is definitely family friendly during the day.

Yelp
Food- after few years, finally taste their Corn Beef & cabbage yesterday, for St. Patrick's day. It was delicious. I give a 10... And it was busy yesterday. It's the perfect spot for St. Patrick Day! With the BEST live music. The only thinks that I don't like. They only have 2 bathroom and everyone has to be in line, woman & man has to share . Don't forget to validate your parking, to have a discount parking fee. Pic's below included

Yelp
Super busy on a Saturday night, they have a live band playing. They have a couple of pool tables and of course they have drinks and some food options. I personally love their buffalo wings. We also ordered the Asada tater tots and calamari. Were ordered a couple buckets of beer and it was a great night. One of my favorite places to drink. The energy of the people and the atmosphere is perfect every time.

Lostinmania ..

Yelp
Excellent service and atmosphere. The clam chowder is amazing. There's an excellent view of the marina and is great for people watching. Did I mention the clam chowder? Order the best black and tan brew and sit back with a great bowl of clam chowder while overlooking the marina.

Yelp
This place is great! Had not been out in quite a while. Was very happy that we ended up here. Our server/Bartender Aaron was great & very attentive. I really do appreciate great customer service... also I didn't get the persons name who brought out our food (not sure if he was the chef) but he was also great. The drinks were good & the food was also very good. I really enjoyed our dinner and drinks and the music & atmosphere was great too. Thank you!

Yelp
Great live music on Friday night. This is also the place that wait staff from restaurants hang out after their shifts, which is a sign of a good place. After drinks and dinner at one place, drinks and oysters at Parker's, we came here for drinks and music. The band was good, playing lots of classics. They also have a jute box app to play songs between sets. Lots more drinks and some surprisingly good mozzarella sticks. A fun way to end the evening. And it's been a long time since I've been anywhere until Last Call!
google avatar

Josh R.

Yelp
Worst service I've ever gotten in my life. The server refused me a beer and was super rude when I told her the drink I'd like. Probably wouldn't come back for 1 bartender. The others are very nice people. Overall 2/5, sad it's a good environment but the bartender kinda threw my whole group off. Get the popcorn and a beer (maybe) just don't get the 1 bartender that stands in the corner. She was not a fan

Yelp
Been going to Shoreline Village for over 30 years. First time setting foot in this establishment. To my surprise it was very comfortable. Live music, good ambiance, great energy and delicous food. Service was good, I was treated well. Always attentive to our tables need. Saturday night is very busy. Cool place to hangout for people in their mid 30s and up. Two thumbs up. Parking is very crowded. Good luck!

Yelp
Food is really good, the wings are amazing and I like the calamari and zucchini, micheladas are great as well! Service has always been awesome been coming here for years even as a younger man it's friendly, you meet cool and friendly people, they always have live band and the bands are always different and play nice! Overall a great place for watching games, fights, drinks with friends or even a date. If you want to vibe on shoreline hear good music and have a great time and dance this is the place. Indoor and outdoor seating for the perfect Long Beach skyline views and vibes. I keep going back because it's my top spots out in shoreline. Ohh yeah and I like to win at the pool table

Yelp
I stopped in here for some food after running the Long Beach Marathon. Since I was by myself, I found an open seat at the bar. During my time here, I saw 3 people working outside of the kitchen. A bit understaffed as they were all very busy taking care of customers. No one was standing around doing nothing. I started things off with coffee. I made it just in time to order their steak and eggs as their breakfast menu ended at 11:30 am. I got my steak cooked medium rare and eggs sunny side up. My sides were hash brown and sourdough toast. Honestly, there really was nothing Irish about this restaurant except for a few Irish items on the menu. Overall it was an okay place for breakfast. Perhaps they do better for dinner. Out of the restaurants in the Shoreline Village, this was the least crowded. Most people were crammed in at either Yard House or Tequila Jack's.

Jessica S.

Yelp
I was amazed by the salad. Definitely a dive atmosphere but you get more of a local feel then the chains earlier on the wharf. Be prepared to have things take a bit of time since staffing is pretty minimal, but worth swinging in for a very nicely chilled cider and a fresh, crisp salad.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite places to come to visit whenever I'm in Long Beach! The food here is awesome!! The place is always rocking!! And the service is on point! With all the fun happening here, and the atmosphere on point, it's hard to not make this a favorite!!
google avatar

Yelp
Ashley, the bartender deserves a raise. She was Busy, yet smooth and attentive to all the customers. We ordered only drinks and dessert, but the guy next to us had a delicious looking meal..we'll be back to trythe wings and corned beef sliders!
google avatar

Yelp
It's nice once in a while to have an Adults Night Out without bringing all the kiddos with us. Came here after Yard House for a night cap. The bartenders are super friendly and fast with getting your drinks. This place has a good vibe. Drinks flowing, music playing, and great conversations.
google avatar

Yelp
Bar at Shoreline with live music. They charge for parking but they validate for a 50% discount. The food was pretty good for a bar, and you can tell they take pride in their presentation. I had the shepherds pie and a side salad. Served hot and fresh. Could have been a bit more flavorful, and the portion could have been bigger, but it was pleasant. My husband had the chicken Cobb salad, and he said it was really delicious. We shared the Hummus appetizer, and it was really good. Service from our waiter, Justin, was helpful and with a smile.
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is actually really good for being a bar. We ordered two appetizers to share, a steak sandwich, and their whiskey cake was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! Patrick our server was great! Super friendly, tentative, sociable, and very helpful. He provided awesome service. Ambiance here was great! We went on the weekend that the Cali Vibe Festival was taking place. They had a live band called "The Lucky Ones" playing in their outdoor seating area on Saturday and they were amazing! The live music added a nice touch to the experience!

Seymour R.

Yelp
Female server with black hair and tattoos was not very nice to be around. Without going into detail, I've had a very crazy and difficult life and if I can't order food and a beer without you projecting an inferiority complex towards me, then I do not want to come back as an LBC local. I'm not saying fire anyone, but definitely have a talk about life. Mind you I literally used manners and just wanted to order my food and drink. That's it. imagine running into some type of real issue.

Anthony H.

Yelp
Went in September l to celebrate and was offended by the manager. We went through security and right after sat down and we're asked for our ids again (not a big deal), but while pulling out our ids the manager told my girl "not you". It was insulting and the insults were barely starting. The bartender treated us like we were mentally incoherent. We order two mojitos one was a virgin and when he dropped it off he identified the virgin extremely fast while walking awake 5 of the 6 people heard him say "mojito versus mojito" so we weren't sure which was the virgin. I've been coming here for years, especially with my girl. I had my first Irish car bomb here, and I've recommended this place to my friends over the years. No longer will I be coming to this place nor recommending.

Yelp
Drinks are overpriced. Chicken strips and fries used to be well seasoned and now just taste bland. I ordered ranch with them and it was the small ketchup container they give but one would think for the size of the strips you get atleast two I only recieved one. I requested another and after eating I recieved bill and a 14.50 meal surprising became a 16.50 meal with a 1.75 ranch charge added which made the bill 18.50 or so I didn't complain I just placed a 20 on the table and thaught to my self well the waitress just gave away her tip. I won't be coming back ever especially after the price gouging.

Yelp
(Response to Cathy after responding to my previous review) Cathy, I admire your confidence in Levi, but I was present in this incident and would like to share my perspective. Unfortunately, Levi was not at his best that day. It happens. As a mother and business owner, I was disappointed in how he handled the situation, especially in front of three young children under 10 years old. His behavior was not acceptable, and I didn't appreciate the lack of sincere apologies and his power-tripping attitude. ***I can't be the one power tripping when I was actually helpless in this incident. I was placed in a helpless situation, and he basically in his own rude way told me to Take it or leave it, accept the situation move on and shut up. The word RACIST came up when he served another customer of a different race, leading me to wonder if his behavior was motivated by racism. I expressed my concerns, and he responded by calling me "entitled." I don't tolerate such behavior, especially in front of 3 boys. I can't have them think that's okay. And as a woman.. no way. As a customer, I would not want anyone treated this way. It's about being heard and treated as a person. I expect respect and kindness because I give that and I hope you can understand my concerns. I appreciate your investigation and efforts to address the matter. I want to ensure that my review of my experience is purely for documentation (like a police report) (it happened), and I'm not making a personal attack. My children can even corroborate the events. *** I'm highlighting this concern about Levi's history of similar behavior, as seen in previous reviews. He's been a repeat offender. I hope you can work with your staff to improve the experience for all your future customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Besides, I also believe great things happen to good people and everyone on my party was able to board. The 3 tickets was fulfilled by Tugboat Pete's it was just $11 per person so saved us more.

Lori G.

Yelp
I had to go to the bar to order drinks when a hostess stated that she was leaving. She did an excellent job in asking me when I needed another drink , but the person that took over, I had to literally had to go to the bar to order more drinks. If someone is taking over a servers tables then o would expect the same service. I did not receive the same service. Once we left we accidentally left a parking pass and went back within 15 minutes and our table was cleaned but the parking pass was no where to be seen. Who ever cleaned the table obviously took the pass. Very dissatisfied with the service and the honesty of the staff. I will not ever return to this establishment. They are thieves!!

Yelp
If you're looking for a courtesy/regular customer consideration, don't bother!! If there's more than 10 people there, you might as well be invisible

Nick N.

Yelp
Cute spot on the water with live music. I was recommended the corned beef, which I did not like at all. Weird texture and weird look. I did try a few of the other things, which were all great. the burger, fish and chips, tomato bisque soup, calamari, beers, and mixed drinks. Bonus for having live music in the location.
google avatar

Yelp
Good bands, fun holiday drink specials and tasty food! I had fish & chips which was perfectly done and a good sized portion. The fries were a little underwhelming, but ok when dipped in my favorite 1000 island dressing. Burger was cooked to desired heat and was juicy. Best part was the band, who played a great variety of rock tunes
google avatar

Yelp
Sh*tty service, sh*tty food, sh*tty bands. There are way better options just steps away. If you really want an Irish pub, go to Auld Dubliner on Pine.

Yelp
Stopped by and once again this place was great. Friendly service, fair prices, fun atmosphere and good food. What more can you ask for. Thanks Shenanigans, I will be back.

Yelp
We came here tonight for a family member's birthday. It is a busy place. The servers were super nice. We had Wendy and Jessica. There is also another gentleman who cleared our tables and he also had great customer service. My cousin, daughter, and I ordered entrées and my cousins and I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt, a Long Beach Iced Tea, and a Cadillac Margarita. My teenage daughter had a Sprite. For food we ordered: Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Burger wrapped in lettuce, Fish and Chips, and Mozzarella Sticks. My buffalo chicken sandwich was really not good. The fries were bland. My daughter's fish and chips was "ok" and was a bit spicy. My cousin's mozzarella sticks were "strange, and has weird cheese". My cousin's lettuce wrapped burger got no mention about taste. My margarita was good. We will probably not go back. It's $25.50 for 12 wings...that were just "ok" tasting, nothing spectacular.

Yelp
Loud, fun, weekend appropriate Shenanigans is a fav of mine when in Long Beach. Great service, good food, strong drinks, specials, and lots of good live music.

Yelp
Stopped by for some proper Guinness beers on a beautiful, warm day! Great vibes, plenty of seating, sports on TVs and friendly bartenders!l - what more could I ask for? I'll come back to try some of their food next time!

Ivan R.

Yelp
Love coming to Shenanigans when my two favorite bartenders are here, Elena and Gabe. Great atomsphere, great drinks and service, thank you for the Shenanigans!

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday evening around 6 pm. There were just a few people there, so seating wasn't an issue. Our server was the bartender, and she was great. Our food came quickly and it was good. We got the loaded tater tots and bangers and mash. I liked the tots better than the banners and mash. The portions were larger than I expected, so for the price, it was a great deal.

Brian S.

Yelp
Great place, great beer selection, good food. I recommend the Irish nachos or the Brussels sprouts.

Yelp
I want to be positive and attempt to leave a positive review but it is really difficult for me because I have to be honest. I came with 5 friends and at first service was quick as we were attended rather quickly. That's where it went wrong from there. Ordered 5 drinks only received 4 and it took an extra 10 minutes for the 5th to show up. The food was not great at all. No flavor from the chicken strips to the burger to the steaks. Wish this was a better visit but it all and reading reviews I'm surprised that this place has changed its ways.

Yelp
I Was really looking forward to heading over to Shenanigans after the Dodgers game. Sure, they lost--but I was just hoping for a chill vibe to end the night. I've been here before and actually used to recommend this place. Not anymore. The service was absolutely awful. I came in with my sister and my partner. Me and my partner ran to the bathrooms while my sister stayed to order drinks. When we got back, my sister looked super uncomfortable and asked if we could leave. I was immediately concerned--then the bartender started yelling at her out saying "you don't want the drink" as she walked out. I've never seen my sister--who is a bartender herself--so rattled just standing at a bar. I stepped in and asked the bartender why he was talking to her like that. His response? "I wasn't talking to you." As I said you're talking to my sister. Then told me to "get the f**k out." Let me be clear: we didn't even get to touch a drink. We were there less than five minutes. No alcohol, no reason for the aggression. Just pure disrespect. No man should ever speak to a woman like that. His behavior was verbally abusive, aggressive, and completely uncalled for. If this is how he treats women in public, I can't imagine how he treats people in private. I will never return, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. No environment--no matter how cool--makes up for that kind of treatment. Avoid this place at all cause. Update: Response to Cathy | I want to clarify what happened--yes, a drink was ordered and received, but it wasn't touched. My sister, who is a regular here, felt so uncomfortable because of how the bartender spoke to her that we decided to leave. This wasn't about not paying; it was about how we were treated. What upset me most was the lack of respect shown, and I was hoping your response would address that. I know things can get busy or stressful, but kindness and respect go a long way. It looks like you stand behind your bartender's actions, which is highly disappointing, especially considering the way he spoke to customers--and women in particular.

Yelp
Had the fish & chips that was supposed to be halibut. The fried fish was some sort of catfish or freshwater fish (fish biologist here).. Nice bar. Decent drink menu. I would give them a second try but would avoid this Irish staple.

Yelp
View and ambiance is nice and a great place to stop on my mid bike ride. I ordered the strawberry salad and the spinach was slimy. I let the server know I couldn't finish my salad and she still charged me. I was a regular here but they lost my business.

Yelp
Place is decent but what stands out it Kara, the friendly bartender who doubles as a waitress. Don't know how she manages to get drinks for an entire restaurant and bar while handling every single table... with a smile and ease. We'll done Kara! Thank you for the impeccable service, smile, and pleasant experience.

Yelp
Went to watch & listen to RockStallion. Service was a little slow. Some sat inside. Others outside. Parking sucked. Food was good. Had to grab our own drinks; faster at the bar. No dance floor but there were people dancing.

Yelp
Great experience. On arrival, seat yourself. Although packed, we got what for us was a perfect table. A good view of the band but far enough away so we could easily converse. Admittedly service can be slow when they are slammed, but amazingly, despite the rush, our server was helpful, friendly, and displayed personality. Beer quickly arrived after we ordered; food was slower. Nothing to complain about. There is a very limited selection of vegetarian menu items, if you are vegetarian I would recommend having your main course before arriving. We did order a couple of the appetizers which were ok, but we were not there for the food. We were there for beer and music, and on that score Shenanigans delivered big time. The band was excellent and there is a great beer selection, something like 23 draft beers to choose from. We will be back.
