The food is very delicious and authentic, and the portion is generous regarding the price. The service is fast, and the staff are friendly. Many dishes here are rarely found in other northern restaurants, so I will come back again.

This place serves very authentic north eastern Chinese food. It tastes just like home. During the hush winter, the crispy and sweet 糖葫芦 (hawthorn candy) will always give me fond memories. We ate here twice already from our visit to LA. The portion is pretty big and price is even better. In this inflation age, their prices seem still stuck from several years ago. The food came out really fast so our table of six was able to enjoy our hot crispy pork within 10 minutes. My wife is from ShenYang and we believe the owner came from Shenyang as well. She loves their cold noodles and it has special sweetness different from South Korean restaurant. The soup has more flavor. We also ordered their Fried Sweet & Sour pork. (锅包肉)They cooked this to perfection. It is crispy, sweet and juicy. We order this dish every time we come here. We will definitely come back if we visit LA in the future.

I had the pleasure of dining at Shenyang Tasty in San Gabriel, CA, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere, attentive staff, and, most importantly, the delicious food made it a memorable visit. Their menu showcases the rich flavors of northeastern Chinese cuisine, and the dishes are expertly prepared. I highly recommend trying their hand-pulled noodles; they are a true delight. The dumplings were also a standout, bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of spicy or milder dishes, Shenyang Tasty has something for everyone. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Overall, Shenyang Tasty is a gem in the San Gabriel culinary scene. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious taste of Chinese cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Super delicious! We ordered a variety of dishes, and some of the most pleasantly surprising ones were: 1. Sweet and Sour Pork (each piece was just the right size, very crispy but not hard, and the sweet and sour flavor was perfect). 2. Cumin Chicken Wings (very flavorful with just the right amount of cumin, they seemed to be fried and had a bit of crispiness). 3. Sour Cabbage Stew with Pork (unexpectedly delicious, the pork was tender, and it paired perfectly with the sour cabbage). 4. Northeastern-style Cold Jellyfish Salad (the mustard flavor might have been a bit strong, and it would be even better if the sesame sauce was a bit heavier, but the jellyfish was chewy without feeling heavy). Finally, we tried some candied hawthorns on a stick (my first time trying them, they were very sour, but the sourness was balanced with a hint of sweetness, and they were quite delicious). The only commend was that the restaurant seemed a bit old, but I hope they can open a new one in Irvine in the future."

Spontaneously tried out this restaurant I pass by regularly shengyang tasty restaurant Hands down the best braised pork belly. A very spicy house special hot pot which we could not finish. A creative deep fried eggplant dish. Services were attentive and friendly, it is a very down to earth place.

Google
Very good food such as pork belly with noodle, beef chow mein, and tsao chicken. They also have a big fish menu, tofu, and 3 types of beers on tap. I will come back. Thank you.

Google
This is an authentic Chinese restaurant with traditional northern Chinese dishes. Every time I’ve walked in, not only am I the only laowai but I’m looked at with shock and surprise that I’m there; doesn’t get more authentic than that. The guo bao rou (crispy sweet sour pork) is absolutely delicious. Many dishes here are not for the shy western pallet. You have to be ready to grab adventure by the baos. If you’re looking for something more aligned with American tastes, order the walnut shrimp and the Yang chow fried rice…you won’t be disappointed.

First time in this place. Looks new, hosts looked rather surprised by a visit from a "foreigner" lol..Ordered squid and vegetables salad, was very good, fresh, balanced textures and flavors, just enough spicy. Candied hawthorn berries were delightful. Friendly, patient service. Must revisit👌

Yelp
This restaurant apparently was located right next to the market next door a decade ago. I've been to the old place plenty of times with family and usually enjoyed the food. It's still small like the old place but definitely looks better! We remembers this place tasting the closest to the dishes we had in China but that was a decade ago. This time, my family wanted to try it out in the new location. The place was fairly empty for a Wednesday night around 5:30, there was one server and a chef who periodically comes out to help serve. They didn't get busy until around 6:30 when more people started coming in. My dad and uncle ordered the dishes which included a spicy fish, lamb skewers, fried meatballs, kidney stir fry, intestine stir fry, honey walnut shrimp, fried fish stir fry, sweet and sour pork chops, kung pao chicken, and more. We got two pots of tea in different pots (same type of tea), a pot of rice, and a container of ice and cups to make ice tea for ourselves. Unfortunately the one dish I remember from the old place wasn't ordered which was the cumin chicken bones, but I was able to enjoy the lamb skewers which were pretty spicy but juicy! Got three orders to share our table of 11. The rest to the food were ok, I do not enjoy eating kidney, intestines, or super spicy food much therefore it's hard to rate the rest of the dishes. Kung pao chicken was good but I bit into a ginger slice and stopped eating it. The fried pork and fried fish was good but I got the fried bits that were mostly flour towards the end. I enjoyed the honey walnut shrimp and my kid loved the pork belly from the pot of vegetables and glass noodles (nonspicy). The spicy fish was topped with so many chillies! Fried meatball was ok, mostly flour though. Since there was only one server, she had a hard time serving multiple small party tables, incoming and outgoing take out orders, and our table of 11. She did the best she could, definitely appreciated her efforts. The chef who came in and out was very helpful as well since she was usually tied up and the food is coming out. The downside was parking, there are "reserved" parking spots for each place in the strip, just read the signs carefully, so you have the best chance parking in the market lot and just walk over. Overall, I would only come back with family since it's more for a dinner that is family style. However, given the dishes they order tend to include offal and spicy food, I will still enjoy just some dishes they order and be happy for them treating me out. Restrooms were in the back, clean and separated by gender.

Yelp
You just know it's going to be good when no one in the building speaks English by default! We walked in for a party of two, and the restaurant was empty other than one other party. So we were seated promptly! We had someone start placing the order in English, and the waitress looks at me and says something. I was like I'm sorry pardon? And she realized I didn't speak Chinese so she went on and told us that the dumplings we were ordering were only vegetable, which was very nice of her to let us know! Not many people would try to communicate that to us! The food was incredible, we had the dumplings which were perfectly cooked, and not dry at all! The beef chow mein packed so much flavor and was so goood! I wish it came with more! And the beef rolls were so yummy! I will say this specifically had too many green onions for my liking but it was still delicious! Only down side, when we flagged her down to get our bill, we handed her our card and she couldn't take payment. She said their internet was down and she had to take cash. I know internet being down isn't their fault, but luckily we had cash. We don't always carry cash, so we got lucky because I don't know how else we would have paid

Yelp
i got takeout from here for dinner. the place seemed very convincing because of how the staff and diners were so casual with each other (though all the groups dining in spoke mandarin), and because of the fish tank at the front. seems like a family-style environment and home-style comfort food that i'd take my parents to for authentic food! - 红烧肉炖宽豆角 [braised meat with broad bean]: also had 粉丝 so even better than expected! the meat was very tender and tasty itself. the broth was thick and a little sweet and hearty and filling. - 熘三样 [pig stomach, liver, intestine]: love a good 3-in-1! no gaminess. liver was tender, not crumbly or chewy. good meat to accompanying vegetable ratio (which included onion and carrot and wood ear). - 豆豉鲮鱼油麦菜 [green veggie]: looked like it would be very spicy, but it wasn't too bad for me. good quantity. - 花卷 [flower bun]: made in-house that morning. steamed it at home for a few minutes and it was so fluffy! items seem to be on the pricier side, but portions (and proportions within each dish) made up for a bit of the extra $$.

Yelp
The attitude for the waiter is extremely bad, no patient, no respect at all! The environment is so terrible, big smells, everything looks dirty covered with cooking oil. If you don't want to treat yourself like a dog, you should absolutely avoid it!

Anthony Z.

Yelp
Authentic Northeastern restaurant in the heart of SGV. The small parking lot is pretty limited compared to SGV standards, but you can park on the street. The decor is a little outdated, and the dining environment isn't the best, but that's also how you know it's an authentic northern Chinese restaurant. They have decently sized portions at reasonable prices, and it just so happens that their food tastes amazing and authentic. My staples of northern Chinese cuisine are their 孜然鸡 (cumin chicken) and 锅包肉 (sweet and sour pork). I also ordered their marinated pork bone. For starters, their cumin chicken is so good during every visit I've been here. I was a little disappointed this time since I expected half a chicken, but in my half chicken found 6 chicken necks (LOL). The sweet and sour pork's authenticity can be measured with how thinly cut the meat slices and breading is - and it definitely passes the mark. Amazing taste and quality! The marinated pork bone is also really good, flavorful, and tender. Although I only ordered 3 dishes, I was able to take home leftovers and heat them up for dinner. I would recommend ordering rice since the flavors can be strong and I needed a "reset" for my tastebuds. Service is pretty good in my experience, but the boss lady doesn't really speak English that well. I saw non Chinese speaking customers speak to a different person when ordering. Otherwise, if you speak Chinese, you'll be fine. They are attentive, but sometimes, just take initiative and call them over - it's not a western restaurant. Oh yeah, the ratings being low for poor service? That's kinda the experience and culture with northern Chinese restaurants - it's another clue they are authentic!

Yelp
As a Chinese, -2 star due to the attitude. We asked if the fish was fresh. She immediately said yes. ( the fish was 15.99, cheap so we wanted to ask). So we ordered it. it was served like in 10 min and doesn't taste or look like fresh fish AT ALL. ( frozen fish meat easily got stuck on the bone and taste more "creamy" ) -1 star due to the food. They were all premade. It's fine all restraint do this. But I don't know. Some dishes just taste a little bit like at the very edge of getting bad to me. Not sure it's the ingredient or the dish itself. Not the place I used to love any more.

Fanny S.

Yelp
I wasn't familiar with Northeastern cuisine, but my friend insisted we try this restaurant. It truly feels like home cooking! I loved it so much, went back twice. The Guobao Pork and Sauerkraut Pork are fantastic, and don 't miss out on the hawthorn candied haws. The prices are fair, portions are generous, and service is speedy. Highly recommend!

Bella S.

Yelp
This restaurant serves really authentic Chinese food. The flavors of each dish are robust. Their prices are also quite reasonable, especially for the portions you get. Service is decent. The waitresses are quite attentive. If you speak Mandarin/Chinese, then it's really not too bad. Their English is limited, but you can order by pointing to the pictures on the menu. I've done that a few times and they have always gotten my order correct. My family and I have come here at least a dozen times and it has not yet disappoint us. My favorite dishes include... 1. Cumin lamb skewers (5/5) On point with what you can expect from cumin lamb skewers. They are not skimpy on the amount of meat they give 2. Dry Tofu with Hot Pepper (4.5/5) Not too spicy or salty. The tofu skin is marinated in a light, creamy sauce. 3. Meat Pie (4/5) This used to be my favorite as it was packed with layers of alternating dough and meat. Since their relocation to this new plaza, they decreased the layers from 4-5 layers to just 2-3 layers. It's definitely lighter this way, but I also feel it's not as flavorful or juicy 4. Peking Style Pork with Tofu Skin Wrap (5/5) Think of this as shredded pork cooked in the peking duck sauce. You wrap the meat in tofu skin instead of a white steamed bun. Very unique combination that's super delicious and doesn't feel as heavy to eat. 5. Beef Roll and Leek Pocket If you like carbs, these 2 are for you. Both are on point with their flavor and texture. Best to get this if you have a large party to share it with. It's very filling.

Yelp
I just finished my 5-day fasting, thus really has no appetite. I was debating to get this sour cabbage pork stew or something else from Korean restaurant. Finally I decided to give it try with the mindset worst case I'll order something else. Ordered via delivery app, and I got my food pretty fast! I did call ahead to make sure they make the way I like. The staff in the restaurant is awesome, and listened to my requirements. First - the portion is huge. I ordered one stew but comes with two bowl. That's how big the portion is. Taste- great! 80% like what I had in Northern China before. Awesome! I am very satisfied with the meal. And I would definitely want to come back again with my family. Worth to mention: the dish costs a lot cheaper if you can pick up instead of through delivery app.

Qian Y.

Yelp
First of all, this is the only northern food I like in LA. I have been there more than 5 years, even though I moved a little bit far, every time I pass by, I will go there for sure! Secondly, they are very friendly to my dog! Great food and quality is always stable!

Yelp
Harley-Davidson chapter from NE China, Beijing and Shanghai commemorating the 120th anniversary of Harley-Davidson as they begin a 2-week ride from Los Angeles to Chicago on Route 66. But before they ride they have to fuel up at the best Northeast Chinese food in SoCal!

Yelp
Visited this restaurant with my trio who is from Shenyang, the price/portion ratio is surprisingly fantastic, have been bullied by the level of living expenses in southern cali, this is awesome! love the spicy lamb spine hotpot! Recommended!

Channary V.

Yelp
Tip during Covid (5/1/21) NO in-door dining available. Recommend call to order. You can also order in the restaurant but the night take awhile to get your food. I still enjoy their lamb sticks and Shanzha Candy.

Xiaoke Q.

Yelp
Worst service ever. The waitress had no idea what she was doing, and she even got into an argument with the customers behind us. For an entire 10 mins, all I could hear was her awful voice repeating the same thing over and over again. Then, when she came over to bring our food, she slammed the plate on our table... so rude. Food quality is medium, but the portions are small! The food was not even enough to cover up the bottom of the plate....

yue y.

Yelp
I usually love this restaurant, but today I had stale chicken. The chicken was spoiled and they still sell it! I feel disappointed, not just once...

Kathie N.

Yelp
Food was good. They specialize in Chinese food from the Dong Bei (Northern China area). Service was good, the aunties (we Chinese people call everyone aunts and uncles that can be our elders FYI) were sweet. Food wasn't salty as some of the other reviewers commented on, however I can see why some people would feel that way. The cuisine in this area is known for having a heavy taste in flavor and seasoning, so this is expected. Our friend from this region of China recommended this place to us. I ESPECIALLY like the five colored glass noodle salad, it was refreshing and good to eat on a hot summerish day in LA. The pork chop was tender and you can pick the meat off the bone with chopsticks. The sweet and sour pork is similar to orange chicken in terms of taste and texture, but this has a sharper vinegar and sugary taste. The bean and port pot was decent. The sweet potato was fun to eat, but FYI it's hot so careful when you bite into a piece. You can burn your tongue. Also don't wait too long, the candy will harden as it cools down and this will make it hard to pick up the pieces.

S Z.

Yelp
Ok, so the cold noodle isn't bad, so is the lamb bbq. However the food was a bit saltyyyyyyyyyyyyy, and the place isn't as clean as other restaurants. Here is the kicker, the waitress / owner chase out people who doesn't give "enough" tips, like almost every table they chase after them (chased us also.) for 3 Bucks.

Maruko X.

Yelp
Ambiance: spacious and clean dining area, which replaced the previously closed shen yang restaurant near this address, brand new decoration, much better than the old establishment Service: very friendly and patient with questions, though it's slow to get their attention to get things Food: plenty choices from the menu, though the translation of certain dishes seems very awkward Fried Sweet & Sour Pork - **** crispy and tasty, recommend Marinated Pork Bone - **** tender and flavorful, recommend Five Delights with Glass Noodles - **** rich in flavors, recommend Stew Fish and Chinese Pancake - *** the fish wasn't great, but the pancake dipping with sauce was tasty Lamb Skewers - **** very flavorful, recommend Shredded Pork with Dried Beancurd - *** average taste Spicy Chicken Bone - *** lack of chicken cartilage, too many garnish ingredients like peppers and onions Crispy Fried Pork - *** average taste Home Made Lump Soup - *** too thick, almost brothless Price: generous portions and decent prices, less than $20 per person

- -.

Yelp
Great food and good service! Came here with my partner who is from Shenyang and tried a few dishes! Everything was great!

Eki L.

Yelp
Good is salty, the lamb skewer taste good but pricy. Service is soso. The very worst thing is the waitress chased is out for more tips, we tipped 10% due to we have to ask several times before rice/water served. The waitress pointed the suggested tip amt (down receipt there is 15% and 20% amt showing) we didn't end up adding the tip we said it is our freedom to tip how much.

Albert H.

Yelp
3.8 stars... Following my wife's recent pursuit of her native food, we are brought to another Chinese northeastern owned restaurant. In fact this is Shenyang Tasty's third location my family has been to. It used to be in the Sam's Club's plaza in El Monte then moved next door to the former Hong Kong Supermarket in San Gabriel. Their lease ran out with the supermarket that has since replaced HK Market. Currently it is in the plaza adjacent to the former location. Shenyang Tasty offers authentic foods such as sweet and sour pork and the cold noodles as well as the glass noodles. The sweet and sour pork and the cold noodles were really well made but the glass noodles was a disappointment following the top caliber presentation and savory taste from Jirong nearby. However the value here makes up for it as the price is cheap and the quantity is plenty. For home cooking and everyday meal this is definitely a good stop. We look forward to coming back soon. One important thing to point out is the lack of parking where the restaurant is situated. So street parking is highly recommended.

Christina K.

Yelp
My hometown Shenyang taste! Everything is so tasty! Thanks for reminding my childhood memories! Will visit more when I am in the area!

Din P.

Yelp
It was our first time here and although we came by mistake, we wanted to give it a chance because San Gabriel valley has authentic flavors in LA. It took me and wife a long time to order and the waitress laughed in our face because we didn't know what to choose. Turns out this is the worst authentic-style (as opposed to Americanized) Chinese restaurant I've been to in the San Gabriel valley. We got the dry hot pot lamb mala numbing stir fry and the stirfried chives with omelette. Both items were extremely salty that I told the waitress. It came back saltier. Literally took 3 or 4 bites with the rice before we gave up and had to take it to go. It was so disappointing. The next day I added two handfuls of chives and dried chilis to balance out the saltiness in the chives and added 3 fish filets with a handful of bok choy in to the dry hotpot and it was still a little bit salty. Theand the service is bad

Jonny W.

Yelp
The 羊肉串儿 was too dry. The spice was nice but it was dry! Needs to be juicier!! The 宫保鸡丁 was good, but the pieces of chicken and green pepper and onions are not diced up small enough!! Also, where's the cucumber?? This place will do in a pinch, but it feels like small changes could be made that would make an enormous difference in quality.

Alex C.

Yelp
I found this place through Ubereats when I was searching for a chinese food. I only get to go and order the same two things which are the bean curd with meat and beef chili oil thingy. The portion is generous and the taste is never off. Food is very tasty and pretty authentic!

Tim C.

Yelp
10/07/2018 I wanted to try a "hot & new" place. I don't remember if this was on the list but I did see these berries on a stick that is traditionally Chinese candy. I have seen it in different movies and TV shows. That is what lured me here. I didn't want to order just this berry candy so I thought I would have something good for dinner. I wanted these squid skewers that I saw on the menu. This pork with green onions dish looked really good in the photo on the menu so I ordered that too. I cannot remember if I had to pay for a bowl of white rice or if it came with each meal. I ate the pork dish here but took the candy home. I could tell it was in the fridge or freezer because it was cold. I couldn't take a bite out of it at the table neither because the candy coating is rock hard. By the time I made it home, it was warmed up enough that the berries could be separated from the stick. It is still hard yet crunchy. The berries were sour and the hard candy shell didn't help. This was a major fail for the candy. I enjoyed my dinner but slightly higher in price.

Robert N.

Yelp
Large Dongbei Chinese restaurant offering a variety of local tastes. Definitely something a little different compared to your standard Cantonese or Sichuanese restaurants everywhere in SoCal. The owner was nice and suggested some specialties (it helps when we have some fellow Shenyang folks with us). Food came in hot and quick. Though Dongbei cuisine does not fit my palate the food was tasty and I do see myself going again.

Elena M.

Yelp
This place makes Northeastern cuisine and as someone from Shenyang I can say it's quite authentic! The cold noodles and the five delights with glass noodles are especially refreshing on a hot day. The cold noodles and the kimchi taste a little different from the ones you would get from a Korean restaurant, which is exactly what I wanted, they bring back childhood memories. The food was ready pretty quickly and the owner was very nice to let me know to not seal the bag containing the sweet and sour pork so that the pork remains crispy. I forgot to take photos of the candied hawthorn berries and the donut roll, but they were both really good. The sesame on the candied hawthorn is a nice touch. I would definitively go back and I highly recommend this place, especially for those from Shenyang/Northeastern China looking for a taste of home.

Shawn R.

Yelp
It's dongbei food, so you gotta rate it based on standard dongbei stuff. Got the old style sweet and sour pork, crispy but I didn't think there was enough sauce. Lamb skewers were all right, I think they bake them. They're the only ones with hawthorn berry sticks. Personally, I think the sesame makes it taste funny but I like that they're cored. Service is your standard Chinese place, but the lady is sweet. She knew enough to not seal the bag with the pork so it's nice and crispy. All in all, I'm coming back because I need dongbei cuisine. I just know to ask for more sauce and more seasoning.

Greendam C.

Yelp
'Just like the restaurant at home' Not many restaurants serve the so-called 'soft fried pork' and the 'Chicken Rack'. Foods are fine. I mean, I never expect a restaurant as good as those at home. So fine is enough.

Sun P.

Yelp
Overall good. Of course, can't compare the taste in China, but not as salty as other restaurants and home style cook! They'll give you a free dessert if you pay in cash. It's candied frozen hawthorns. You can imagine how hard it is! Eventually, it's edible, but be careful it's hard like a rock when it's just served. :p

Yelp
Comfort food for expats of Northeastern China. Families dine on the "local" dishes of their homeland. Friends gather to socialize and have a beer, or two, with their meal. The food is good; but, I'm struggling on whether the food merits four stars. This restaurant was originally located in a unit next to the former Hong Kong Market. Now they moved to a tiny shopping center to the north of the supermarket. It's newly opened so the inside is still pretty clean. Unlike it's previous location where the floors and tables could've used a good scrubbing. We ordered the Marinated Pork Bone. It has more bone than meat. But, it's a popular dish with the patrons. This would definitely be a dish you would normally eat at home. I fondly remember as a child chewing on these as soup bones. The Cantonese used these bones for cooking in soup. The Steamed Corn and Soy Bean Buns is another "local" dish. But be careful, though, it's very dry and crumbly. The taste is bland. The Shredded Potato with Sour Sauce has a more common flavor to the ones served at other Chinese restaurants. The Stewed Red Meat with Green Beans was good. Although it looks nothing like it looks in the menu picture. All-in-all, I would definitely visit again to try their other dishes.

Maggie W.

Yelp
Should've trust the review and avoid this place. Food is super salty. Not even fresh. It's waste of money. Never coming back.

Xin T.

Yelp
The food here is pretty good. The staffs are really nice too. The eight must order dishes are great. The best part is - omg the portion is so big! During this crazy time, we normally call in and pick up food. This time, one dish is stewed red meat with green bean. They use two big bowls to put this one dish! I'm amazed. We've been here multiple times - both for dining in (before Covid) and take out. We've tried at least a dozen different dishes. Loved them :) Go to this restaurant if you want to try authentic Northeastern Chinese food (东北菜,嘎嘎香)

Jason J.

Yelp
Very bad tasting food, no flavor and very greasy. They use to be good, maybe changed cook. Terrible

Jessica Z.

Yelp
It is my second time to come to this restaurant. I love their cold noodles, but if you prefer more sour version this may not be your choice. I loved their sweet and sour pork, but today the chef did not make it right. However, it was really good last time when I came in. The sour cabbage with pork soup is not right as it should not come with garlic at all; also the sour cabbage is not really sour. The cumin lamb is good. And the sautéed tomato potatoes and eggplant is good, but there is no tomato actually. Generally, it is good place if you like the northern food. By the way, there is couple I think they should be the owner, they are very nice and friendly compare to the old owner.

Tim L.

Yelp
Tasty food! This is the kind of comfort food I like to eat and this restaurant did not disappoint. This particular store location has failed many times over the years but I suspect the bad streak is now over with this restaurant leasing it. It is always crowded every time I visit and for good reasons. The food is tasty and the price is reasonable. Service is not the greatest (not a surprised for an authentic Chinese restaurant) and parking is easy to find in the surrounding area. Overall, I like the food here and will definitely come back again and again.

Yelp
Omg, they have fresh 麻花 and 冰糖葫芦!!! I don't have to go back to China to eat these any more. Lol

Yelp
Taste was not that good, either too salty or bland. Got a surprise when received the bill. We took a advice from the waitress when ordering an item. She recommended cooking in soy bean sauce instead of pan fry without mentioning any price change. We grew suspicious when received a bill only listed the total amount without itemized. We questioned her. Turned out she charged more than double the menu price on the item she recommended because of the soy bean sauce cooking.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised by how good this food was. Forget Panda Express, Shenyang has some delicious dishes to try out. The fried pork had a lovely glaze and crisp. The hot sour soup was brought in an enormous container that we'll enjoy later in the day or in the morning. We had two desserts which were the Hawthorne Candy and red bean cake. Both super yummy!

Yelp
Came to this restaurant due to my wife's longing and craving for her "home town" food. Upon arriving we sat down in one of the many available tables. The waitress came to us quickly and took our drink order. By then the restaurant was being filled and the only waitress started running to take care of the people. The waitress took our order and left us to ourselves until we got the food which was delicious. After dropping off our food, never saw her again. We didn't mind, the food was quite good and we have no need of the server. Overall, the experience was great. Would definitely come back to this place.

Yelp
Love the food here. Remember to bring cash if ur order is less than $25. Other than that, no issues I've encountered. After your order they'll have your food ready pretty quickly. $25块以上可以刷卡. 有孜然鸡架,糖葫芦!!糖葫芦英文怎么说0.0 lol.

Yelp
Ridiculous! I order the pork belly there's no pork belly inside only veggies. And the chicken has some unknown little bug inside. too disgusting. Never Never go to eat again.

Yelp
Very bad experience...not only they raise the price, the food quality is also lowered by a lot. I am so disappointed about the sweet and sour pork I ordered... there is a very thick layer of corn starch outside the pork... it seems like they are trying to make the meat look larger with those starch/flour.. there is barely pork inside... I ordered another fried pork dish and it's the same way... never gonna try this place again

Yelp
Just like my childhood taste! Authentic northern Chinese food! Good quality and quantity too!

Yelp
The food is good, so I give 2 stars. the service is just so bad, the waitress does not have any idea what customer service means. Don't argue with your customer when they just try to give some comments, not even complain, just some comments. Your customer does not have to know how you're gonna report to your boss, not my business at all.

Yelp
Being order take out around San Gabriel area from where I used to dine in often before pandemic. One of them is from this Northern East China Region food. Compare to regular dine in dishes, this time some dishes like Special sauce Egg, and Special sauce Chicken are kind of too salty. My favorite is Fried Sweet and Sour Pork in traditional style. Home style Pancakes with Pork Stew and Scallion and Sesame Cake, and Crispy Beef Roll are all my all time favorite. Luckily these dishes are still great. Today I try something new from them which is Hawthorn Berry and Sesame Candy. So good. Will become on my must have list when order from this place.
