The management and customer service at this store are unacceptable. The employee was unprofessional, making inappropriate comments about herself and even asking a customer if they wanted to see her. She then left us waiting for about five minutes before returning to check us out, only to claim that a book marked 50 cents was actually $5. When I privately discussed the pricing with my partner, she abruptly took the books back and said we didn’t have to buy them if we didn’t want to. When I mentioned that it was a private conversation, she rudely told me to take it outside. To make matters worse, she then spoke negatively about me to the next customers. This was an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience.

Google
This place lives up to the antique name 100 percent compared to other’s in the area. They had things I have never seen before and things that are true antiques. Aisles are narrow so shop at your own risk!

Google
Excellent antique store. Good prices. Great vibe. Love the music in all the nooks and crannies. Check this place out.

Google
Friendly and helpful! The shop is filled to the brim with unique teeasures! Take some time to stroll through the different rooms. Something for everyone! A definite must!

Google
I agree with all the 1 star reviews. Always had a pleasant experience while shopping in this store, while the gentleman worked at the counter. The last time we were there, a very rude woman who said she was the owner was extremely rude to us and made us feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. That will be the last time we step foot in that shop.

Google
It's a cool shop and, as a local, I've been here many times. I've usually been attended by an older gentleman who is very patient and really nice. However, BRENDA, who said is the owner, was so rude, and was RACIST towards my family members. I will never come here again. The way she acted was completely unacceptable.

Google
Coolest Shop in Boulder City! Each room has a different theme, feels like a trip through Classic Las Vegas. Ask for Brenda, she will take great care of you! I picked up a great framed Frank Sinatra picture. SO Cool!

Google
Female owner was super rude. We were in the store shopping and going through the rooms for a while. After a friend checked out, we were looking at jewelry in the case. The owner was standing with us at the case. I reached in to turn a necklace hanging backwards and she told me that only one person could be up at the case at a time. I apologized placed the item back the correct way but she continued on by letting me she didn't need my help. A simple thank you would have sufficed. I won't be back.

Yelp
Stepping inside this charming Antique store is a bit overwhelming, just stand in one spot and take it all in, then take a few steps and start over. Each room is chalked full of lost treasures and beloved memories of things left in the past. The owners have done an incredible job of making each space its own with items in similar categories: shoes, records, housewares, toys, boutique and more! We enjoyed our visit to Sherman's House of Antiques and made purchase of a beautiful antique mirrored tray. The owner and her husband have personally collected every item in this store which I find heartwarming as was she. I wish I had better photos of this incredible store, I only took pics to send to people I knew, things they might want- lol. I must return to showcase the beautiful treasures that fill this lovely store both indoor and out. Shermans House of Antiques offers large scale items including many things you won't find elsewhere. Great value, huge collections, fantastic Owners!

Yelp
So let me start out by saying that this place is really cool. It has a lot of interesting antiques in it. I have been to this store several times with my wife. My in laws are in town and so we drove from Las Vegas to take them antiquing. Unfortunately this time we came across an employee by the name of Brenda who was VERY abrasive with my wife. I found a cross I like and my wife was helping me find the right chain and Brenda told her that was her job and there was to many hands in the cookie jar. Then proceeded to say that she knew how to do her job and pretty much insinuated to my wife to keep her mouth shut!! I was pissed! I held it together because of my in laws but... if they weren't there it would have been another story. I wanted the cross but wasn't willing to buy from her. Last time I was in this store there was a TEALLY sweet blonde lady.. but not today

Yelp
We went there yesterday and as soon as we walked in this old guy behind the counter yelled at us go away!! I get out because I felt this very dark bad energy and next to it my mom and sister left the place stating that the old guy were weird, rude and looking crazy so they were afraid.

Yelp
Great store. The lady that owns the store made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. She has a variety of interesting items and I really liked the vibe of the store. At first I only bought a couple of DVD's and a vintage picture of performers at Bally's, Las Vegas amongst them Dean Martin. I didn't even have to ask and she gave me a discount and we got to talking about our shared admiration of Dean Martin. She had just gotten some of his albums in so I went back and bought a couple that I don't already have and also a great Debbie Reynolds album. Again, I got a nice discount and didn't even have to ask. What a nice lady! Next time I'm in Boulder City I will definitely return and purchase something again. Great experience.

Yelp
Owners wife is quite rude and pushy with a condescending attitude. Clearly this isn't a singular incident because plenty other reviews bring this up. Don't take too long spending your money or they might become increasingly agitated with you. Won't miss much if you don't stop here except an old woman with a stick up her butt.

Tom P.

Yelp
Nope you were mean and condescending . Super stressful shopping there/ never coming back

Yelp
Wow. I was appalled of how rude this old man that was sitting down in the front was extremely rude. I wanted to find out how much a purse was in the back, went ahead and asked him he completely ignored me I was in front of him and even asked nicely again, totally ignored me the second time I stood there and he immediately started to speak with the teenage boys behind me. I don't know if he was the owner or not, I had a dark feeling about him more like he was being Racist. As a vintage lover and owner this place is absolutely the worst to shop at I couldn't even bring in my baby stroller for my daughter there is no space wide enough for handicap people either. Can't believe how people like that are running and working a business now a days.

Yelp
Mood - Memory Lane Time Warp Upon entering you are walking thru a maze of rooms filled with its own collaborations that make each room put together and unique from the others. I honestly felt like I was in a time warp. I wasnt in Boulder City anymore, I wasnt in an antique store, I was transported back to my Great-Grandmothers house looking at all of her treasures shes collected over the course of her life. So many pieces loved, not loved as much, from the small delicate ornaments to the big furniture items are here. Even authentic vintage clothing in a smaller dressing area in the back. Was a neat experience to see past up close and personal, in a almost whimsy type way. Would recommend - pricing depends on the items that were for sale. However in in my opinion, it was quite reasonable especially for the furniture that was outside. Complete bedroom sets for alot less than you'd expect. Staff very friendly answering all of our questions and giving suggestions. Location is Boulder City - ample parking on streets

Yelp
If you want to find anything antique this is the place . Brenda is amazing to work with . There is so much to look at and great finds at such reasonable prices. It's like finding treasures in each little corner of the store . There is something for everyone here ! This is a must stop shop. From clothing to old Coke a Cola products to toys to vintage jewelry, hose wear goods you name it they have it.

Dawn H.

Yelp
This store is not handicap accessible at all in any way and the lady there was extremely rude to a lady on a scooter
google avatar

Jenny R.

Yelp
The owner is rude for no reason. If you go don't ask her questions unless you want her to snap at you. Apparently this is normal behavior. Will never go again. Do not recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I were so happy about finding this fixer upper antique dresser! So inexpensive and perfect. We wanted to find one that wasn't so pricey so we could replace the hardware. Brenda was amazing and worked with us on a deal! I also found a great pair of vintage black cowboy boots and Brenda was so sweet to our toddler as well! Overall, such a wonderful experience and we can't wait to come back for more

Yelp
YELP 365 CHALLENGE 2014-(196/365 ) "Stop In At Sherman's!" It's always fun to stop in here any time we're in Boulder City. They always have different stuff coming in daily. If you're the kind of person that enjoys the thrill of the hunt or a very cool deal on a blast from the past, SHOA most likely has something for you. Clothing, Handbags, Jewelry, art, furnitures....you name it, they got it. I like to collect toys from my childhood, so on this visit, I snagged a rare Fisher Price Xylophone which still worked and I was even able to get it down for only $5. SWEET! Barbie collectors and 80's toys fans may want to take a look inside because they seemed to have a lot of those towards the back of the store. ALOHA!!! Shaka Meter: \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ 4

Yelp
DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS! Lots of false promises & lots of lies. Sherman is a very rude person & he's also a liar. He talked to me like I was beneath him & made promises he couldn't keep. I'm a disabled mother of 2. He had no compassion for me or my children. He PROMISED to help me with my estate sale. He didn't have the common courtesy to call me & let me know he couldn't do it. He had 3 weeks to decide if he was going to take the job. I had to call him the day of the estate sale & ask him why he hadn't shown up. I spent 2 days in the hospital & still did everything he asked of me. He hasn't returned the key to my house &/or answer my texts other than to say he couldn't help me.

Yelp
RUDE & OFFENSIVE. -3 STARS My wife needed some old photographs for a project so we went to Sherman's where they happen to have a box full. We started sifting through the photos and I asked the lady how much they were. She said "They came from estate sales and were gonna get thrown away anyways so I can go 3 for a $1." I responded " How about 4 for a $1?" She agreed and said "I can do that but you have to buy a bunch." I said "No problem." A few minutes later her husband walks up and says "I know she said 4 for a $1. I'll give you the first 4 for a $1 and they rest are 2 for $5." I said "That's not what she told us." She immediately stood up and shouted "I MADE A MISTAKE, IT HAPPENS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN YOU CAN LEAVE." My wife walked out and I tossed what was in my hand on the counter and left. These people need serious prescription medications. You never raise your voice to customers like that. After going to Boulder City for years, we will never step foot in this place again. Besides, the place is dirty and dusty and their stuff never changes. And it seems that aside from offending customers, they like to argue and swear at one another behing the counter. Unprofessional to say the least. Don't waste your time with this place. Boulder City Antique Market across the street has courteous employees, better merchandise and the place is much cleaner and organized. Sherman's Antiques can burn to the ground for all I care.

Yelp
Invigorated by my previous positive experience at Antique Depot (and my need to kill time while my husband was zip lining) I decided to make the stop at Sherman's House of Antiques. The outside looked pretty interesting so I thought it would be another good place to visit during my tour of Boulder City. Greeted by some super cute lady, I already felt tons better here than at Antique Depot. Sherman's is a much more relaxed environment and has a more eclectic (maybe hipster?) feel to it. The rooms are very bright and everything is very clean. As is the theme with these antique stores, you walk from room to room and down narrow hallways to peruse the old-timey (and retro) merchandise. I noticed a Coca-Cola collection, beer steins, old telephones and cameras, Elvis memorabilia, western wear, toys and even comic books! My favorite room was right near the register and houses the old telephones and cameras, as well as books and musical instruments. I spent the most time here. Another reason I liked this antique store the best was that their prices seemed much more reasonable. I really didn't bother looking at prices for things I obviously couldn't afford, but I did notice retro Vegas postcards for a buck and really interesting books for only $5, many of which were in pristine condition. I ended up getting my husband early-80's Indiana Jones and Wonder Woman comics for $2 apiece and a Boba Fett Pez dispenser for $2. I was very happy with my finds. Definitely my favorite antique store I visited while in town. Not on the main drag of Nevada through Boulder City, you have to trek down Arizona a little ways to find it. Right next to The Dillinger and across the street from the Boulder Dam Hotel.

Yelp
The prices are very high and the female staff member behind the front desk goes beyond rude and I'd actually say she is hostile. My friend asked the price on some boots and she said "$75 but I could do better on the price. You can always make an offer" my friend said "$75 is a little high since they're stained, but if you could do better on the price I'd think about it". The woman went on a tangent saying "you know I COULD do better on the price but I'd HATE for you to have to have something that's STAINED!" I told my friend "let's leave" and she yelled at us the whole way out the door about how she collected everything in the shop and how she could have done better on the price but we couldn't possibly own something stained. She was combative and melodramatic. There's a dozen antique shops in town. This one is not only overpriced, crowded and messy, but the staff member is so rude we won't be coming back. There's so many other (better) antique shops in walking distance where we won't be verbally attacked. Never again will we come back.

Yelp
This place is so magical! We just happened to stumble in here during a quick trip to Boulder City. Brenda was so warm and helpful-and extremely reasonable on pricing. So many gems, I couldve spent hundreds. But walked away with an icredible rag rug from the 50s, a 1905 fishing reel and several amazing records (record collection is impressive).if you like antiquing, do not skip this store!
google avatar

Mary Rose F.

Yelp
On my random trip to Boulder City, I noticed the city's love for Antique Treasures! I liked this antique store because everything was as organized into different areas of the store as can be. There was a section of all the toys I used to play with, aka figurines of Pocahontas, and Disney figurines in general! There were a ton of pretty accessories! Girls, BEWARE! (That's what I splurged on when we went "antiquing.") The owner was such a sweetheart! She was very helpful and even offered my friends and I cookies while we were walking around looking for COOL OLD THINGS to take back home! One of the main attractions were the antique furniture outside of the actual store. There were some cool pieces I actually wanted to take home and paint! In other words, if you're looking for antique furniture, cd's, toys, jewelry, kitchenware, clothing, or just looking for a unique bargain, this is your place! HAPPY ANTIQUING!
google avatar

Joanne M.

Yelp
There's something here for everyone! Antiques, vintage wear, so much fun to walk through this shop!

Alison J.

Yelp
This store has a little of everything and is laid out in a unique and fun way! The prices are reasonable and Brenda is very pleasant and engaging. My husband and I stopped in after the Art Fair and purchased an antique desk. The next time you're in Boulder City, please check it out; you won't be sorry.
google avatar

Yelp
This store is one cool trip down memory line. Especially if you are from the Baby Boomer generation. There are all kinds of random stuff here! They also have the best selection of retro and antique items in my opinion. There are all kinds of little rooms filled up. It's like a maze. Even the bathroom has merchandise in there! The store feels small but square footage wise, it is now the largest one in this town. It's somewhat themed so it makes it easier to shop. The shop is pretty clean and it doesn't have that musty odor like other shops in the area. The prices are a lot more reasonable. I felt more welcomed in here. It was pretty chill. A night and day difference from other shops Ive been to. The owner Sherman was the one who greeted us/ When we had questions, he was nice and friendly. Learned later from his wife who runs his other store Go Vintage, that he is the picker and has been doing it for a long time. You cant miss the shop. There's random display of items and furniture in front of his store. It's just off the main road right before you hit park on Arizona by The Dillinger and Boulder Hotel. Pretty impressive collection. I make sure I come here first before any of the other places now.

Yelp
Sherman I am Brenda has the greatest attitude and they have the greatest store for you to find anything that you want that is unusual. He finds products everywhere in the state and he will help you run your estate sale if the unfortunate happens.

Stephane P.

Yelp
This place has the same inventory they've had for decades. I found out why when I made an offer to buy merchandise, the owner Brenda refused to deal and was quite rude about it. She didn't understand, "bird in hand". Sherman was a much smarter man. Now she will be seating on that same inventory for another 20 years, all cramped and collecting dust with overpriced tags. How do places like this stay in business?
google avatar

Yelp
Comic and a small toy for my boys. They have cute stuff. Good music. Super friendly owner!!

Yelp
Honestly I am a bit concerned posting this because of retribution... I had the unfortunate experience of Sherman and employees being hired to remove items owner from a residence left behind. I had indicated a start time of 9:30 and arrive at 8:30 to see they had entered property and started loading up. The owner had specifically left a few things behind for me (new owner) and I immediately had chaos. Ok. Can work with it. Had a couple friends come over to help me ascertain items to keep, especially when told it's all going to the dump and I picked up more costs because previous owner did not have funds and wanted me to keep what I wanted. One of these friends found an item in the truck. To my knowledge it was all from the house but Sherman went off on him screaming about him looking in the back of his truck. Even when I tried to tell him a miscommunication, he wouldn't calm down. Unbelievable. Then when they came back next day to finish they took things that had value and left everything that I had specifically said needed to go. Felt like he was continuing in his mode of being "a not nice person". Based on that whole interaction, I question his ethics in all his business dealings and there are some great owners of antique items in Boulder City. Please give them your business and save yourself from any encounters with this individual!!

Alison G.

Yelp
Staff is extremely friendly!! Loved the kitchen vintage section! The old spoon collection brought back memories of my grandma. My daughter end I have a fun time strolling through the sections! What an awesome stop!! MUST SEE.
google avatar

Stefany V.

Yelp
This is one of the few antique stores in town that has a substantial amount of furniture- so much so, that it overflows onto their patio! Good pricing, too. Variety of styles represented, and lots of SALE stickers. Interior of store was a bit cramped, seemed like they have a surplus of stock- staff indicated that they are flexible with pricing.
google avatar

Jordan R.

Yelp
Went in and bought a super fly vintage leather jacket. Owner was super nice and gave me a great deal. Could spend days looking over everything in that store, lots of cool of stuff. Definetly worth a trip to Boulder City for this place alone.
google avatar

Ilene H.

Yelp
This place is rad. The owner is a cool dude. He has everything. His prices are extremely fair in comparison to other places. I plan on coming here weekly.
google avatar

Yelp
My girlfriend and I have lived in Vegas nearly 40 years. We've been through Boulder City many times but never actually stopped anywhere other than to get gas. Today we decided to play tourist in Boulder City. This shop was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff was friendly. They even offered us cookies and coffee upon entering. Their selection of merchandise was amazing. Although we didn't purchase anything today we've been discussing going back there for gift shopping for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, etc etc. So I'm sure we'll be back in the near future. Thanks again for making our visit fun!
google avatar

Shelley K.

Yelp
I had such a good time looking through this place. It was just simply FUN! Rooms are semi themed. There is a room for retro clothes and costume jewelry, a couple western rooms, a southwest/African room, a hallway for books and magazine (with more than a few retro Playboys and a good selection of vinyl), a couple rooms of retro and antique toys and many rooms full of kitchen ware, glass, porcelain and pottery. The walls are covered with interesting things to look at and perhaps buy. The statues with armor and larger pieces of furniture, stoves, etc are outside. They are a kick! The owner is a nice guy whose wife owns a boutique down the street. The prices are extremely reasonable and fair. I expected the prices to be tourist stop nuts, but I was pleasantly surprised. What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning before hitting the inevitable hell that is Las Vegas traffic. Better yet, stay another night and drive back to Arizona.

Yelp
Very unorganized claustrophobic shop. It feels like one of those places where you're set up to easily knock something down on accident and have to pay for it, but some good finds anyway. However as i was leaving i witnessed the owner of this place berate a man with a small child when he asked if she had Art Deco pieces in the store. She tried convincing him that something was Art Deco and when he tried explaining that wasn't what he was looking for, she got very hostile, telling him he didn't know what Art Deco was and that she doesn't need anyone telling her how to run a business and started telling him to get out of her store. We all stood around in shock. The man's daughter looked terrified and he exited the store. I put down the stuff I had planned on purchasing and my wife and I, as well as a few other patrons quietly filled out. I met some wonderful antique store owners on our trip to Nevada, I would recommend the antique market and goat feathers but I would be weary to even walk on the same side of the street as this place.
google avatar

Jess O.

Yelp
This place is super cramped and way too small. We couldn't even turn around without knocking something. I know it's an antique store but it was so dusty and we didn't get one greeting when we entered. Kinda bummed, cuz the outside of the store is pretty awesome!
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
If you came all the way to Vegas and didn't find enough in Gold & Silver Pawn to satisfy your soul...come to Sherman's. Plan to be here at least an hour.
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
Don't Know who Sherman is, but Brenda is crazy and rude to customers. I was set to buy a number of pieces until I got to the check out with Brenda. She was aggressive, ripping my payment from my hand and over charging me. When I politely asked her about the pricing she began yelling at me. As unprofessional as she was, I declined my purchase and left! Never to return again.
google avatar

Dono B.

Yelp
Been coming here for years. The most expansive variety of 1920's through 1960's Americana housewares. These prices are considerably lower than any antique store and are much closer to thrift store priced. Its location is about as antiquated and vintage also. Boulder City, Nevada was built to house all the workers of the Hoover Dam in the 1930's and 1940's so you will find old mining equipment along with your usual depression era glass, vintage womens accessories mid century furniture and kitchenware. I only gave 3 stars because I don't want you blowing up my secret spot!
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
Very helpful employee. Helpful with suggestions. Monday before Christmas and the employee was busy and working alone but yet helping everyone. Great job.
google avatar

Teresa F.

Yelp
Great for doing deals and finding a wide array of vintage items but cash is the queen here. If you want to do a deal, carry the green with you. I have found several items I wanted and then had to schlep over to the ATM to get the best price because I never carry cash with me.Make sure to look in all the nook and crannies, even the bathroom has items for sale! Talk about selling everything! They do it here.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
This is the worst service I ever experienced. Insulted. The owner of Brenda corrected me on African-American art when I am an African-American woman she stood in front of the art and would not let me see it when I asked to see it she put her finger in my face and told me not to interrupt her. I asked her if she was having a bad day and her customer service was rude and she was rude to me she corrected me and then told me if I want to buy something by it. I have never experienced and Owner to put their finger in my face and tell me I was interrupting her I was going to buy a lot of merchandise and left as I was leaving she asked told me that she was going to check the cameras. I feel so discriminated against I then went across the street to another antique mart called Boulder city antique market and had exceptional service the Lady Brenda lost out on business. I beg of anyone who is in Boulder do not go to the shop you will be in salted or go to the shop for a laugh to be insulted

Ed T.

Yelp
What a bad experience....we were treat very rudely by the owner no less. A lot of nice things (vintage hats) but after our experience I would not buy anything, no matter how much I liked it.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
Sherman is an awesome guy selling antiques at great prices!!! I would advise anyone to come check out his estate sales he runs!!!
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
This place is huge. I was dragged out of Las Vegas to visit antique shops and this place was my favorite. They had a lot of stuff for men, from vintage toys and games, to old electronics and military items. My only complaint with these stores in the antique district is their pricing on some items. I think they base their prices on "cool" factor and not what the item is worth, well on some items at least. If your wife, mom, sister, significant other, female friend, f-w-b, etc brings you down here to shop come here so you don't get bored.
google avatar

Namaste C.

Yelp
I always visit this store when I'm in town. This is a fabulous shop and has something for everyone. Both owners are wonderful and always willing to negotiate prices which I love. I have visited all the stores in Boulder City and this is by far the friendliest and most reasonable. I have bought bags, clothes, toys and knick knacks from them. You will not be disappointed. If you end up not getting anything this time, you will at the least love the nostalgia and trip down memory lane.
google avatar

Dustin T.

Yelp
Super packed with antiques and goodies...almost cluttered. So why 5 stars you ask? #1 they have tons of antiques to choose from...may just need a bigger shop. BUT what really is great about this place is how friendly the staff is! My girlfriend and I came here with her dog and the dog was welcomed in like a customer...even had a snack for the dog. Then as I was pilfering through old matchbooks looking for one from the Sands Hotel and Casino, unsuccesfully, the manager/owner tells me to hold on. He goes back behind his desk and pulls out a huge bag and starts going through it for me. A few minutes later low and behold he finds a Sands matchbook! Made my day! :)

Jeremy W.

Yelp
A must-see in Boulder City. Cool collection of antiques to browse, fairly priced. One of the better antique shops I've ever been.
