Sherpa House, SF First time coming here for dinner. The food was very good and my family love it. The waitress was very friendly and recommended dishes and they were all good. We have peanuts allergy and she went to check with the kitchen to ensure our allergies. We ordered an Everest Wings, must try but is a little spicy. Recommended The dumpling, mono platter and was very good. I liked the chicken, my kids liked pork and wife liked veggies, so is perfect for us. Kukhura bhanta chicken and eggplant was also very good. Not that greasy and very tasty and it came with a side dish, we had the rice. Lastly, we the pork ribs and it came with side dish, we had the plain naan. The naan was good but the pork ribs did not have much flavor and a little chewy. We finished it but not as good. For desserts, we had mango ice cream and laimohan. Mango ice cream was very good, kids love it. The Laimohan was ok, kinda of sweet. The owner, Ned recommend rice pudding. He treated us kheer, rice pudding saffron flavored and condensed milk. Wow, very good and we do recommend to try. Ned came to all the tables and ensure all the guests are enjoying the food.

My wife and I have been to Sherpa house twice now and it’s our new favorite restaurant. The food is top notch, the decor is awesome, and the hospitality is next level. So many amazing dishes to try out. We can’t wait to go back already. Highly recommend to anyone who likes delicious food and great service.

This is hands down the best Nepalese restaurant I’ve visited in San Francisco. The food was exceptional—rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made both visits truly enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more memorable. I especially loved the momo and pork belly—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of authentic taste. I’ve been here twice now, and each time was consistently amazing—delicious food, great ambiance, and a genuinely fun dining experience. Highly recommend to anyone craving flavorful, soulful Nepalese cuisine!

Delicious, authentic Nepali food! The Everest Wings were super flavorful, momos were juicy and fresh, and the bhanta (eggplant) dip was amazing. Loved the biryani too—perfectly spiced. Cozy spot with friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

This evening, my girlfriend and I visited a newly opened Nepali restaurant just two three weeks in business and we had a lovely experience. Even though we had already eaten a little at a friend’s place earlier, we still wanted to try the food here. We ordered chicken thukpa and momo, while my girlfriend went for the samosa chaat. The presentation was fantastic it looked inviting and well-crafted. We even found ourselves saying, “This looks really cool!” As we took our first bites, we could tell the food was freshly made with care. The flavors were enjoyable, and though a few bites stood out more than others, we appreciated the clean, fresh taste overall. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in to make sure everything was okay. One gentleman even took the time to chat with us about the concept of the restaurant and how they’re introducing it to the town. That personal touch made the experience even better. Wishing the team all the best—great start, and we look forward to coming back again soon!

I am still sitting in the restaurant and eating this as I type this review because I just can’t risk forgetting to call out how amazing it is. I review rarely and this is the type of gem that’ll make you whip out your phone. As a Nepalese food aficionado—I say get everything here. The chiya slaps and the service is even better.

Second time here. This is a hidden gem! If you're new to Himalayan or Nepalese food, please give this a try. Family owned with traditional decor. The looping Nat Geo images of life with complementing music is a great addition to the ambiance. I have been here for lunch and dinner and have been pleased both times. I have tried 6 different curries to date and they not only have their own distinct flavors but are offered to guests in a copper pot versus a typical bowl. Classic Organic Chicken Curry Classic Lamb Curry Kukhurako Ledo is the equivalent of Tikka Masala Chicken Coco Nutty Chicken For sizzling platters we ordered the Mixed Grill (which comes with 2 generous pieces of each protein--salmon, lamb and chicken on a bed of grilled onions and bell peppers) and the Pork Ribs. Both delicious without being dry. Each of the above orders come with your choice of basmati rice or plain naan. You can upgrade for a flavored naan (butter $0.50) or (garlic $0.75) which is a welcome reprieve from all the up-charges other SF restaurants charge. Now for dessert...everything is made in-house. A must try are the mango and pistachio ice creams. The Dudh Chiya was strong and creamy. The Lalmohan was syrup-y and sticky as it should be! The 4 House Wines are on a BOGO deal now at a mere $6 per glass! The family checked on us without being overbearing. Service was prompt and friendly. Again, a family-run business that needs our support that serves delicious food without costing an arm and a leg. Easy parking to boot!
