Very glad to have Shibuya in the neighborhood. Prices are incredibly reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food on offer. While I can understand sticker shock at a glance, I usually get more than one portion's worth of food out of both the donburi (rice bowl) and ramen dishes. Smaller sizes are also an option for a lower price.
The food is very flavorful, and you can tell the sourcing of the ingredients is solid because everything tastes fresh and the flavor profile of certain specific items (edamame, for example) taste just how you'd expect them to at a speciality Japanese restaurant. The in-house marinated grilled chicken (toriniku) is particularly delicious, and goes well in both a ramen broth or over rice. There's also a wide variety of flavors available via toppings and oil options, if you're looking for something specific like chili or black garlic to add into the mix.
The staff is consistently helpful and courteous, and there're both indoor and outdoor seating options. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a nice warm soup for the winter months, or a rice bowl with a wide mix of potential flavors.
