The ambience of the restaurant is quite pleasant, with a charming rustic and old-world vibe that gives it a cozy, laid-back feel. However, the lighting could use some improvement, as it felt a bit dim and uneven in certain areas, which slightly took away from the overall atmosphere. Service-wise, things were decent but could be more efficient. Now, onto the food, which is the true highlight. The pizza was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor and made with fresh, quality ingredients. What impressed me most was that it tasted just as good when reheated later, which speaks to how well it was made. The pasta sampler was another standout, it’s a must-try for anyone visiting. Each variety offered a different rich, savory flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The clam chowder soup deserves a special mention as well. It was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and filled with tender clams, it’s honestly one of the best clam chowders I’ve ever had. Overall, while there’s room for improvement in terms of lighting and service speed, the food more than makes up for it. I will definitely be returning for another meal, this place is a hidden gem for food lovers.

First timer at Shields. Lunch time. Chill atmosphere. Had the antipasto salad for one. My server Constance was great. Came back a couple times to check on me. I'll surely come back to try other dishes.

Chicken wings have too much sauce, more like wings with gravy. Maybe they should put some sauce on the side. I didn't get Detroit style pizza that they are famous for. Had Detroit style couple of times in catering and they are good. This time was a regular round pizza and it was ok. Too much cheese and not enough tomato sauce.

I went for a going away party. There were about 30 people in our party. We had burgers, fries, and pizza. Everyone enjoyed their food. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and pleasant. She brought our food and drinks in a timely manner. A good time was had by all.

Called and made reservations for a family birthday party of 15 last week. They failed to tell us when booking that it was also karaoke night. Starting at the same time as our reservation. They seated us right up against the bar. We came for a family dinner, not to feel like we were in the middle of a club. Our seats were vibrating and we could not hear anything annyone was saying. And our server could not as well-2 or 3 peoples were wrong. It took 30 mins for get drinks, 45 for the salad. Bread and pizza over an hour later. Food was mediocre at best, once the orders got straightened out. My husband spoke to a manager at one point, after that I got bread but the server seemed annoyed. We weren’t offered anything for a birthday dinner or any kind of discount for putting us in a ridiculous location for a family dinner. I’ve been going to this location since I was a kid. I think I will probably never return now, unfortunately.

First time coming here. Dined in around lunch time. 12:30. Wasn't super busy. Kind of slow. After we were seated we Waited almost 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. After our drink orders were taken (1 water 1 Pepsi) it took another 5 minutes. Took a drink only to find out it was a diet Pepsi. Waited for our food for 25 minutes (club Sandwich $15, Express pizza combo. Comes with salad or soup and slice of pizza $9) later found out she was the only waitress waiting on tables. Maybe thats why she had such an attitude and kind of rude. Then Tiffanie brings a salad to the table and asks us what size salad we had when ordering the pizza express it doesn't say what size salad you get So we didn't know what to respond with. The owner and his son that was seating people could have helped her out more in the beginning with taking drink orders and dropping them off so Tiffanie can take the food orders. Honestly the only 2 redeeming qualities of this establishment is the decor and the pizza. That is it. I will never come here again.

I ordered a Greek salad to support a fundraiser. Instead I received some atrocious salad with diced meat and mozzarella cheese. It was NOT tasty. The one star came from my failed attempt to rectify the mistake. I called the restaurant when I realized my order was wrong and was sent to a recording with no voice message option, although Google Maps stated they were open. I called later that evening and asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for so long that I finally hung up. They aren't going to correct the mistake, so I'll just leave a review. Is it worth going to a restaurant that can't get a salad correct when the customers can actually make it themselves? A Greek salad takes no skill to make.

The worst service I've ever experienced. We sat at the bar Brandon was the bartender he had no clue he was even at work,I honestly can't belive he gets paid to be there. First it took him at least 15 minutes to bring two waters,then another 15 to take our order. We ordered a small pizza and small antipasta salad which took at least 30 minutes to come he brought the pizza out first so I said what about the salad his reply was it's coming. Five minutes later he brings it and it had one cucumber 1 tomato and two black olives on it. What a joke. Then tonend the great experience we had to ask for the bill three times. Honestly thought of leaving if he couldn't be bothered why should I. Paid the bill and left I'll never go somewhere and beg for a bill again. The fact that I had to was ridiculous.
